A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. Further efforts should focus on identifying the etiology of the SARS-associated virus and ruling out conclusively the existence of otherpossible SARS-related pathogen(s). | QIN E'de ZHU Qingyu YU Man FAN Baochang CHANG Guohui SI Bingyin YANG Bao PENG Wenming JIANG Tao LIU Bohua DENG Yongqiang LIU Hong ZHANG Yu WANG Cui LI Yuquan GAN Yonghua LI Xiaoyu L Fushuang TAN Gang CAO Wuchun, YANG Ruifu Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing 100071, China WANG Jian, LI Wei, XU Zuyuan, LI Yan, WU Qingfa, LIN Wei, CHEN Weijun, TANG Lin, DENG Yajun, HAN Yujun, LI Changfeng, LEI Meng, LI Guoqing, LI Wenjie, L Hong, SHI Jianping, TONG Zongzhong, ZHANG Feng, LI Songgang, LIU Bin, LIU Siqi, DONG Wei, WANG Jun, Gane K-S Wong, YU Jun & YANG Huanming* Beijing Genomics Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 101300 National Center for Genome Information, Beijing 101300, China | 2003 | Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,10: | 121

The Interactions among DWARF10,Auxin and Cytokinin Underlie Lateral Bud Outgrowth in Rice显示文摘Previous studies have shown that DWARF10(D10) is a rice ortholog of MAX4/RMS1/DAD1,encoding a carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase and functioning in strigolactones/strigolactone-derivatives(SL) biosynthesis. Here we use D10-RNA interference(RNAi) transgenic plants similar to d10 mutant in phenotypes to investigate the interactions among D10,auxin and cytokinin in regulating rice shoot branching.Auxin levels in node 1 of both decapitated D10-RNAi and wild type plants decreased significantly, showing that decapitation does reduce endogenous auxin concentration, but decapitation has no clear effects on auxin levels in node 2 of the same plants. This implies that node 1 may be the location where a possible interaction between auxin and D10 gene would be detected.D10 expression in node 1 is inhibited by decapitation, and this inhibition can be restored by exogenous auxin application, indicating that D10 may play an important role in auxin regulation of SL.The decreased expression of most OsPINs in shoot nodes of D10-RNAi plants may cause a reduced auxin transport capacity.Furthermore, effects of auxin treatment of decapitated plants on the expression of cytokinin biosynthetic genes suggest that D10 promotes cytokinin biosynthesis by reducing auxin levels.Besides,in D10-RNAi plants, decreased storage cytokinin levels in the shoot node may partly account for the increased active cytokinin contents, resulting in more tillering phenotypes. | Shuying Zhang Gang Li Jun Fang Weiqi Chen Haipai Jiang Junhuang Zou Xue Liu Xianfeng Zhao Xiaobing Li Chengcai Chu Qi Xie Xiangning Jiang Lihuang Zhu | 2010 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,7: | 14
The Qitai radio telescope显示文摘This study presents a general outline of the Qitai radio telescope(QTT)project.Qitai, the site of the telescope,is a county of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, located in the east Tianshan Mountains at an elevation of about 1800 m.The QTT is a fully steerable,Gregorian-type telescope with a standard parabolic main reflector of 110 m diameter. The QTT has adopted an umbrella support,homology-symmetric lightweight design. The main reflector is active so that the deformation caused by gravity can be corrected. The structural design aims to ultimately allow high-sensitivity observations from 150 MHz up to115 GHz.To satisfy the requirements for early scientific goals, the QTTwill be equipped with ultra-wideband receivers and large field-of-view multi-beam receivers.A multi-function signal-processing system based on RFSo C and GPU processor chips will be developed. These will enable the QTT to operate in pulsar, spectral line, continuum and Very Long Baseline Interferometer(VLBI)observing modes.Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)and radio frequency interference(RFI)control techniques are adopted throughout the system design. The QTT will form a world-class observational platform for the detection of lowfrequency(nano Hertz)gravitational waves through pulsar timing array(PTA)techniques, pulsar surveys, the discovery of binary black-hole systems, and exploring dark matter and the origin of life in the universe. The QTT will also play an important role in improving the Chinese and international VLBI networks, allowing high-sensitivity and high-resolution observations of the nuclei of distant galaxies and gravitational lensing systems.Deep astrometric observations will also contribute to improving the accuracy of the celestial reference frame.Potentially, the QTT will be able to support future space activities such as planetary exploration in the solar system and to contribute to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. | Na Wang Qian Xu Jun Ma Zhiyong Liu Qi Liu Hailong Zhang Xin Pei Maozheng Chen Richard N.Manchester Kejia Lee Xingwu Zheng Hans J.Kärcher Wulin Zhao Hongwei Li Dongwei Li Martin Süss Matthias Reichert Zhongyi Zhu Congsi Wang Mingshuai Li Rui Li Ning Li Guljaina Kazezkhan Wenming Yan Gang Wu Lang Cui Ming Zhang Haitao Li | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,8: | 14
Management of granulomatous lobular mastitis: an international multidisciplinary consensus(2021 edition)显示文摘Granulomatous lobular mastitis(GLM) is a rare and chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast. Difficulties exist in the management of GLM for many front-line surgeons and medical specialists who care for patients with inflammatory disorders of the breast. This consensus is summarized to establish evidence-based recommendations for the management of GLM. Literature was reviewed using PubMed from January 1, 1971 to July 31, 2020. Sixty-six international experienced multidisciplinary experts from 11 countries or regions were invited to review the evidence.Levels of evidence were determined using the American College of Physicians grading system, and recommendations were discussed until consensus. Experts discussed and concluded 30 recommendations on historical definitions, etiology and predisposing factors, diagnosis criteria, treatment, clinical stages, relapse and recurrence of GLM. GLM was recommended as a widely accepted definition. In addition, this consensus introduced a new clinical stages and management algorithm for GLM to provide individual treatment strategies. In conclusion, diagnosis of GLM depends on a combination of history, clinical manifestations, imaging examinations, laboratory examinations and pathology. The approach to treatment of GLM should be applied according to the different clinical stage of GLM. This evidencebased consensus would be valuable to assist front-line surgeons and medical specialists in the optimal management of GLM. | Qian-Qian Yuan Shu-Yuan Xiao Omar Farouk Yu-Tang Du Fereshte Sheybani Qing Ting Tan Sami Akbulut Kenan Cetin Afsaneh Alikhassi Rami Jalal Yaghan Irmak Durur-Subasi Fatih Altintoprak Tae Ik Eom Fatih Alper Mustafa Hasbahceci David Martínez-Ramos Pelin Seher Oztekin Ava Kwong Cedric W.Pluguez-Turul Kirstyn EBrownson Shirish Chandanwale Mehran Habib Liu-Yi Lan Rui Zhou Xian-Tao Zeng Jiao Bai Jun-Wen Bai Qiong-Rong Chen Xing Chen Xiao-Ming Zha Wen-Jie Dai Zhi-Jun Dai Qin-Yu Feng Qing-Jun Gao Run-Fang Gao Bao-San Han Jin-Xuan Hou Wei Hou Hai-Ying Liao Hong Luo Zheng-Ren Liu Jing-Hua Lu Bin Luo Xiao-Peng Ma Jun Qian Jian-Yong Qin Wei Wei Gang Wei Li-Ying Xu Hui-Chao Xue Hua-Wei Yang Wei-Ge Yang Chao-Jie Zhang Fan Zhang Guan-Xin Zhang Shao-Kun Zhang Shu-Qun Zhang Ye-Qiang Zhang Yue-Peng Zhang Sheng-Chu Zhang Dai-Wei Zhao Xiang-Min Zheng Le-Wei Zheng Gao-Ran Xu Wen-Bo Zhou Gao-Song Wu | 2022 | Military Medical Research2022,9,4: | 13

Microalloying Al alloys with Sc:a review显示文摘As a kind of important light alloys, the Al alloys exhibit mechanical properties that are closely related to the microstructures.Changing the main alloying elements and adjusting heat treatments are usually approaches to tune the microstructure and hence artificially control the mechanical properties. However, the windows for the two approaches have become quite narrow, after extensive studies in the last half of century.Microalloying has become the most promising strategy to further modify the microstructure and improve the mechanical properties of Al alloys, among which the element of scandium(Sc)is especially powerful. In this paper, the recent progresses in Al alloys microalloyed with Sc are briefly reviewed, focusing on the microstructural characterization, strengthening response, and underlying mechanisms. The possible key research points are also proposed for the further development of Al alloys microalloyed with Sc and other rare earth elements. | Jin-Yu Zhang Yi-Han Gao Chong Yang Peng Zhang Jie Kuang Gang Liu Jun Sun | 2020 | Rare Metals2020,39,6: | 10
CD147-spike protein is a novel route for SARS-CoV-2 infection to host cells显示文摘In face of the everlasting battle toward COVID-19 and the rapid evolution of SARS-CoV-2,no specific and effective drugs for treating this disease have been reported until today.Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2),a receptor of SARS-CoV-2,mediates the virus infection by binding to spike protein.Although ACE2 is expressed in the lung, kidney, and intestine, its expressing levels are rather low, especially in the lung.Considering the great infectivity of COVID-19,we speculate that SARS-CoV-2 may depend on other routes to facilitate its infection. Here,we first discover an interaction between host cell receptor CD147 and SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The loss of CD147 or blocking CD147 in Vero E6 and BEAS-2B cell lines by anti-CD147 antibody,Meplazumab, inhibits SARSCoV-2 amplification.Expression of human CD147 allows virus entry into non-susceptible BHK-21 cells, which can be neutralized by CD147 extracellular fragment.Viral loads are detectable in the lungs of human CD147(hCD147)mice infected with SARS-CoV-2,but not in those of virus-infected wild type mice.Interestingly, virions are observed in lymphocytes of lung tissue from a COVID-19 patient.Human T cells with a property of ACE2 natural deficiency can be infected with SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus in a dosedependent manner, which is specifically inhibited by Meplazumab.Furthermore,CD147 mediates virus entering host cells by endocytosis.Together, our study reveals a novel virus entry route,CD147-spike protein, which provides an important target for developing specific and effective drug against COVID-19. | Ke Wang Wei Chen Zheng Zhang Yongqiang Deng Jian-Qi Lian Peng Du Ding Wei Yang Zhang Xiu-Xuan Sun Li Gong Xu Yang Lei He Lei Zhang Zhiwei Yang Jie-Jie Geng Ruo Chen Hai Zhang Bin Wang Yu-Meng Zhu Gang Nan Jian-Li Jiang Ling Li Jiao Wu Peng Lin Wan Huang Liangzhi Xie Zhao-Hui Zheng Kui Zhang Jin-Lin Miao Hong-Yong Cui Min Huang Jun Zhang Ling Fu Xiang-Min Yang Zhongpeng Zhao Shihui Sun Hongjing Gu Zhe Wang Chun-Fu Wang Yacheng Lu Ying-Ying Liu Qing-Yi Wang Huijie Bian Ping Zhu Zhi-Nan Chen | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 9
Rapid removal of bisphenol A on highly ordered mesoporous carbon显示文摘Bisphenol A (BPA) is of global concern due to its disruption of endocrine systems and ubiquity in the aquatic environment. It is important, therefore, that efforts are made to remove it from the aqueous phase.A novel adsorbent, mesoporous carbon CMK-3,prepared from hexagonal SBA-15 mesoporous silica was studied for BPA removal from aqueous phase, and compared with conventional powdered activated carbon (PAC).Characterization of CMK-3 by transmission electron microscopy (TEM),X-ray diffraction, and nitrogen adsorption indicated that prepared CMK-3 had an ordered mesoporous structure with a high specific surface area of 920 m 2 /g and a pore-size of about 4.9 nm.The adsorption of BPA on CMK-3 followed a pseudo second-order kinetic model. The kinetic constant was 0.00049 g/(mg·min),much higher than the adsorption of BPA on PAC.The adsorption isotherm fitted slightly better with the Freundlich model than the Langmuir model, and adsorption capacity decreased as temperature increased from 10 to 40°C.No significant influence of pH on adsorption was observed at pH 3 to 9;however,adsorption capacity decreased dramatically from pH 9 to 13. | Qian Sui Jun Huang Yousong Liu Xiaofeng Chang Guangbin Ji Shubo Deng Tao Xie Gang Yu | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2: | 8

Potential role of Lactobacillus plantarum in colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium through altering gut microbiota and host metabolism in murine model显示文摘Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is a chronic lifelong disease characterized by inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.Although more and more treatment options serve IBD, there is still no cure. It is important to find an effective treatment for IBD.This study aims to investigate whether Lactobacillus plantarum(L. plantarum) could alleviate colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS). Following the DSS challenge, L. plantarum on DSS-mediated inflammatory colon lesions in mice, and L.plantarum therapy heightened the relative abundance of the colon-resident Actinobacteria. Analysis of serum metabolomics also indicated that the content of MG(18:4(6 Z, 9 Z, 12 Z, 15 Z)/0:0/0:0) was increased in response to L. plantarum therapy, and this was also the case for indolepyruvate and 1-hydroxyibuprofen. However, 13-oxooctadecadienoic acid(13-oxo ODE) and indolylacryloylglycine content fell following the DSS challenge. Based on these results, the study elucidates the mitigatory effects of L. plantarum in colitis, which depend on its regulation of the colonic microbial community and its modification of serum metabolites. The results revealed that L. plantarum mitigated inflammatory colon lesions, reprogrammed the microbial community and altered the level of serum metabolites in a murine model challenged with DSS. The study may present a potential therapeutic strategy for colitis. | Sujuan Ding Wenxin Yan Jun Fang Hongmei Jiang Gang Liu | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,11: | 7
Multicenter Clinical Study for Evaluation of Efficacy and Safety of Transdermal Fentanyl Matrix Patch in Treatment of Moderate to Severe Cancer Pain in 474 Chinese Cancer Patients显示文摘Objective: Although a new matrix formulation fentanyl has been used throughout the world for cancer pain management, few data about its efficacy and clinical outcomes associated with its use in Chinese patients have been obtained. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of the new system in Chinese patients with moderate to severe cancer pain. Methods: A total of 474 patients with moderate to severe cancer pain were enrolled in this study and were treated with the new transdermal fentanyl matrix patch (TDF) up to 2 weeks. All the patients were asked to record pain intensity, side effects, quality of life (QOL), adherence and global satisfaction. The initial dose of fentanyl was 25 ?g/h titrated with opioid or according to National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines. Transdermal fentanyl was changed every three days. Results: After 2 weeks. The mean pain intensity of the 459 evaluated patients decreased significantly from 5.63?1.26 to 2.03?1.46 (P<0.0001). The total remission rate was 91.29%, of which moderate remission rate 53.16%, obvious remission rate 25.49% and complete remission rate 12.64%. The rate of adverse events was 33.75%, 18.78% of which were moderate and 3.80% were severe. The most frequent adverse events were constipation and nausea. No fatal events were observed. The quality of life was remarkably improved after the treatment (P<0.0001). Conclusion: The new TDF is effective and safe in treating patients with moderate to severe cancer pain, and can significantly improve the quality of life. | Yu-lin Zhu Guo-hong Song Duan-qi Liu Xi Zhang Kui-feng Liu Ai-hua Zang Ying Cheng Guo-chun Cao Jun Liang Xue-zhen Ma Xin Ding Bin Wang Wei-lian Li Zuo-wei Hu Gang Feng Jiang-jin Huang Xiao Zheng Shun-chang Jiao Rong Wu Jun Ren | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2011,23,4: | 6
Effects of cerium incorporation on the catalytic oxidation of benzene over flame-made perovskite La_(1-x)Ce_xMnO_3 catalysts显示文摘Perovskite-type La_(1-x)Ce_xMnO_3(x = 0-10%) catalysts were prepared by flame spray pyrolysis and their activities during the catalytic oxidation of benzene were examined over the temperature range of100-450℃.The structural properties and reducibility of these materials were also characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),N_2 adsorption/desorption,H_2 temperature-programmed reduction(H_2-TPR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The incorporation of Ce was found to improve the benzene oxidation activity, and the perovskite in which x was 0.1 exhibited the highest activity.Phase composition and surface elemental analyses indicated that non-stoichiometric compounds were present. The incorporation of Ce had a negligible effect on the specific surface area of the perovskites and hence this factor has little impact on the catalytic activity.Introduction of Ce4^(4+) resulted in modification of the chemical states of both B-site ions and oxygen species and facilitated the reducibility of the perovskite. The surface Mn^(4+)/Mn^(3+)ratio was increased as a result of Ce^(4+) substitution, while a decrease in the surface-adsorbed O/lattice O(O_(ads)/O_(latt)) ratio was observed. The relationship between the surface elemental ratios and catalytic activity was established to allow a better understanding of the process by which benzene is oxidized over perovskites. | Gang Liu Jiaqi Li Kun Yang Wenxiang Tang Haidi Liu Jun Yang Renliang Yue Yunfa Chen | 2015 | Particuology2015,13,2: | 6

Lipoprotein(a) as a Marker for Predicting the Presence and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Untreated Chinese Patients Undergoing Coronary Angiography显示文摘Objective Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) has been well known as the risk factor of coronary artery disease(CAD). However, the role of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] in the development of CAD is of great interest but still controversial. Thus, we aim to explore the effect of Lp(a) on predicting the presence and severity of CAD in Chinese untreated patients, especially in combination with LDL-C. Methods We consecutively recruited 1,980 non-treated patients undergoing coronary angiography, among which 1,162 patients were diagnosed with CAD. Gensini score(GS) was used to assess the severity of CAD. Lp(a) was measured by immunoturbidimetric method. Results Patients with CAD had higher level of LDL-C and Lp(a) compared with non-CAD(P < 0.05). Multivariable logistic regression revealed that Lp(a) > 205 mg/L(highest tertile) predicted 1.437-fold risk for CAD(95% CI: 1.108-1.865, P = 0.006) and 1.480-fold risk for high GS(95% CI: 1.090-2.009, P = 0.012) respectively. Interestingly, concomitant elevated level of Lp(a) and LDL-C conferred the highest risk for both presence [OR = 1.845, 95% CI: 1.339-2.541, P < 0.001] and severity [OR = 1.736, 95% CI: 1.188-2.538, P = 0.004] of CAD. Conclusion Lipoprotein(a) is a useful marker for predicting the presence and severity of CAD, especially combined with LDL-C. | SUN Di ZHAO Xi LI Sha ZHANG Yan WU Na Qiong ZHU Cheng Gang GUO Yuan Lin GAO Ying QING Ping LIU Geng DONG Qian LI Jian Jun | 2018 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2018,31,4: | 6
