| 1 | Fermented soybean meal improves the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and microbial flora in piglets显示文摘In order to increase nutritive values of soybean meal(SBM), 3 species of microbes were used to ferment SBM. Through a 3 x 3 orthogonal design and parameter measurements of soybean peptide and antinutritional factor contents in the fermented soybean meal(FSBM), it was estimated that the best microbial proportion of Bacillus subtilis, Hansenula anomala and Lactobacillus casei was 2:1:2 for SBM fermentation(P < 0.05). The further piglet feeding experiment showed that 10% FSBM substitute for SBM had no significant effect on growth performance of suckling piglets(d 7-28)(P> 0.05). However, newlyweaned piglets(d 28-38) fed 10% FSBM and different levels of plasma protein obtained higher average daily gain(ADG) and feed conversion ratio(FCR), compared with those without FSBM but with 6% plasma protein(P < 0.05). Piglets(d 38-68) fed diets supplemented with FSBM and soybean protein concentrate(SBPC) at 3.75% and 7.5% respectively increased nutrient digestibility,fecal enzyme activity and lactic acid bacteria counts, and decreased fecal Escherichia coli counts(P < 0.05), compared with the control. | 2 | Structure evolution of oxygen removal from porous carbon for optimizing supercapacitor performance显示文摘The presence of oxygen functional groups is detrimental to the capacitive performance of porous carbon electrode in organic electrolyte. In this regards, hydrogen thermal reduction has been demonstrated effective approach in removing the unstable surface oxygen while maintaining the high porosity of carbon matrix. However, the exact evolution mechanism of various oxygen species during this process, as well as the correlation with electrochemical properties, is still under development. Herein, biomass-based porous carbon is adopted as the model material to trace its structure evolution of oxygen removal under hydrogen thermal reduction process with the temperature range of 400–800 °C. The optimum microstructure with low oxygen content of 0.90% and proper pore size distribution was achieved at 700°C. XPS, TPRMS and Boehm titration results indicate that the oxygen elimination undergoes three distinctive stages(intermolecular dehydration, hydrogenation and decomposition reactions). The optimum microstructure with low oxygen content of 0.90% and proper pore size distribution was achieved at 700 °C. Benefiting from the stable electrochemical interface and the optimized porous structure, the as-obtained HAC-700 exhibit significantly suppressed self-discharge and leak current, with improved cycling stability, which is attributable to the stabilization of electrochemical interface between carbon surface and electrolyte. | 3 | Effects of Deep Fluids on Hydrocarbon Generation and Accumulation in Chinese Petroliferous Basins显示文摘Deep fluids in a petroliferous basin generally come from the deep crust or mantle beneath the basin basement, and they transport deep substances(gases and aqueous solutions) as well as heat to sedimentary strata through deep faults. These deep fluids not only lead to large-scale accumulations of CO_2, CH_4, H_2, He and other gases, but also significantly impact hydrocarbon generation and accumulation through organic-inorganic interactions. With the development of deep faults and magmatic-volcanic activities in different periods, most Chinese petroliferous basins have experienced strong impacts associated with deep fluid activity. In the Songliao, Bohai Bay, Northern Jiangsu, Sanshui, Yinggehai and Pearl Mouth Basins in China, a series of CO_2 reservoirs have been discovered. The CO_2 content is up to 99%, with δ^(13)C_(CO2) values ranging from-4.1‰ to-0.37‰ and ~3He/~4He ratios of up to 5.5 Ra. The abiogenic hydrocarbon gas reservoirs with commercial reserves, such as the Changde, Wanjinta, Zhaozhou, and Chaoyanggou reservoirs, are mainly distributed in the Xujiaweizi faulted depression of the Songliao Basin. The δ^(13)CCH4 values of the abiogenic alkane gases are generally >-30‰ and exhibit an inverse carbon isotope sequence of δ^(13)C_(CH4)>δ^(13)C_(C2H6)>δ^(13)C_(C3H8)>δ^(13)C_(C4H10). According to laboratory experiments, introducing external H_2 can improve the rate of hydrocarbon generation by up to 147% through the kerogen hydrogenation process. During the migration from deep to shallow depth, CO_2 can significantly alter reservoir rocks. In clastic reservoirs, feldspar is easily altered by CO_2-rich fluids, leading to the formation of dawsonite, a typical mineral in high CO_2 partial pressure environments, as well as the creation of secondary porosity. In carbonate reservoirs, CO_2-rich fluids predominately cause dissolution or precipitation of carbonate minerals. The minerals, e.g., calcite and dolomite, show some typical features, such as higher homogenization temperatures than the burial temperature, relatively high concentrations of Fe and Mn, positive Eu anomalies, depletion of 18 O and enrichment of radiogenic ^(87)Sr. Due to CO_2-rich fluids, the development of high-quality carbonate reservoirs is extended to deep strata. For example, the Well TS1 in the northern Tarim Basin revealed a high-quality Cambrian dolomite reservoir with a porosity of 9.1% at 8408 m, and the Well ZS1 C in the central Tarim Basin revealed a large petroleum reserve in a Cambrian dolomite reservoir at ~6900 m. During the upward migration from deep to shallow basin strata, large volumes of supercritical CO_2 may extract petroleum components from hydrocarbon source rocks or deep reservoirs and facilitate their migration to shallow reservoirs, where the petroleum accumulates with the CO_2. Many reservoirs containing both supercritical CO_2 and petroleum have been discovered in the Songliao, Bohaiwan, Northern Jiangsu, Pearl River Mouth and Yinggehai Basins. | 5 | Geochemical Characteristics and Genetic Types of Natural Gas in the Xinchang Gas Field, Sichuan Basin, SW China显示文摘The molecular compositions and stable carbon and hydrogen isotopic compositions of natural gas from the Xinchang gas field in the Sichuan Basin were investigated to determine the genetic types. The natural gas is mainly composed of methane (88.99%–98.01%), and the dryness coefficient varies between 0.908 and 0.997. The gas generally displays positive alkane carbon and hydrogen isotopic series. The geochemical characteristics and gas-source correlation indicate that the gases stored in the 5^(th) member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation are coal-type gases which are derived from source rocks in the stratum itself. The gases reservoired in the 4^(th) member of the Xujiahe Formation and Jurassic strata in the Xinchang gas field are also coal-type gases that are derived from source rocks in the 3^(rd) and 4^(th) members of the Xujiahe Formation. The gases reservoired in the 2^(nd) member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation are mainly coal-type gases with small amounts of oil-type gas that is derived from source rocks in the stratum itself. This is accompanied by a small amount of contribution brought by source rocks in the Upper Triassic Ma'antang and Xiaotangzi formations. | 6 | The scientific connotation of oil and gas formations under deep fluids and organic-inorganic interaction显示文摘As a relatively stable craton block in the earth system, the petroliferous basin is influenced by the evolution of the earth system from the early development environment of source rocks, hydrocarbon formation, and reservoir dissolution to hydrocarbon accumulation or destruction. As a link between the internal and external factors of the basin, deep fluids run through the whole process of hydrocarbon formation and accumulation through organic-inorganic interaction. The nutrients carried by deep fluids promote the bloom of hydrocarbon-generating organisms and extra addition of carbon and hydrogen source, which are beneficial to the development of high-quality source rock and enhancement of the hydrocarbon generation potential. The energy carried by the deep fluid promotes the early maturation of the source rock and facilitates the hydrocarbon generation by activation and hydrogenation in high-mature hydrocarbon sources. The dissolution alteration of carbonate rocks and clastic reservoirs by CO_2-rich deep fluids improves the deep reservoir space, thus extending the oil and gas reservoir space into greater depth. The extraction of deeply retained crude oil by deep supercritical CO_2 and the displacement of CH_4 in shale have both improved the hydrocarbon fluidity in deep and tight reservoirs. Simultaneously, the energy and material carried by deep fluids(C, H, and catalytic substances) not only induce inorganic CH_4 formation by Fischer-Tropsch(F-T) synthesis and 'hydrothermal petroleum' generation from organic matter by thermal activity but also cause the hydrothermal alteration of crude oil from organic sources. Six human cadaver lumbar spine L2-L5 segments were loaded in flexion, neutral position, and extension. The L3-L4 disc load was measured at each position using pressure measuring films. Shape-memory interspinous process implants (SMID) with different spacer heights, ranging in size from 10 to 20 mm at 2 mm increments, were used. It was found that a SMID with a spacer height equal to the distance of the interspinous process in the neutral position can share the biomechanical disc load without a significant change of load in the anterior annulus. | 17 | The first extra-large helium-rich gas field identified in a tight sandstone of the Dongsheng Gas Field,Ordos Basin,China显示文摘Helium gas is a scarce but important strategic resource,which is usually associated with natural gas.Presently,only one extra-large helium-rich gas field has been found in China:the Hetianhe Gas Field in the Tarim Basin.This paper reports a new example,the Dongsheng Gas Field(DGF)in the Ordos Basin.In this study,92 natural gas samples from the DGF were analyzed for helium content and isotope composition using isotope mass spectrometry.The natural gas samples were found to have an average helium content of 0.133%,with 65(70.7%)of the samples having a helium content of 0.1%or more.Based on the proven natural gas reserves of the DGF,the proven geological helium reserves were calculated to be 1.96×10^(8)m^(3),suggesting that it represents the first extra-large helium-rich natural gas reservoir to be hosted in tight sandstone in China.The ^(3)He/^(4)He ratios of 5 natural gas samples from the DGF are within the range of 3.03×10^(−8)–3.44×10^(−8).Therefore,the helium in the gas field is thought to be of typical crustal origin and to have formed in the granitic basement that is rich in uranium and thorium.The accumulation of helium-rich natural gas was controlled by regional tectonic activities.Activity along the fault connecting the reservoir with the basement caused release of the helium gas,which entered the overlying strata along the fault and accumulated with conventional hydrocarbon gas.Based on the structural background and the distribution of helium source rocks in the Ordos Basin,the main helium source rocks with high exploration potential are located in deep strata within the north and middle parts of the basin. | Weilong PENG Quanyou LIU Ying ZHANG Huichong JIA Dongya ZHU Qingqiang MENG Xiaoqi WU Shang DENG Yongsheng MA | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,5: | 2 |
| 18 | Silk-based hydrogel incorporated with metal-organic framework nanozymes for enhanced osteochondral regeneration显示文摘Osteochondral defects(OCD)cannot be efficiently repaired due to the unique physical architecture and the pathological microenvironment including enhanced oxidative stress and inflammation.Conventional strategies,such as the control of implant microstructure or the introduction of growth factors,have limited functions failing to manage these complex environments.Here we developed a multifunctional silk-based hydrogel incorporated with metal-organic framework nanozymes(CuTA@SF)to provide a suitable microenvironment for enhanced OCD regeneration.The incorporation of CuTA nanozymes endowed the SF hydrogel with a uniform microstructure and elevated hydrophilicity.In vitro cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)and chondrocytes showed that CuTA@SF hydrogel accelerated cell proliferation and enhanced cell viability,as well as had antioxidant and antibacterial properties.Under the inflammatory environment with the stimulation of IL-1β,CuTA@SF hydrogel still possessed the potential to promote MSC osteogenesis and deposition of cartilage-specific extracellular matrix(ECM).The proteomics analysis further confirmed that CuTA@SF hydrogel promoted cell proliferation and ECM synthesis.In the full-thickness OCD model of rabbit,CuTA@SF hydrogel displayed successfully in situ OCD regeneration,as evidenced by micro-CT,histology(HE,S/O,and toluidine blue staining)and immunohistochemistry(Col I and aggrecan immunostaining).Therefore,CuTA@SF hydrogel is a promising biomaterial targeted at the regeneration of OCD. | Zhicheng Cao Hongmei Wang Jialin Chen Yanan Zhang Qingyun Mo Po Zhang Mingyue Wang Haoyang Liu Xueyang Bao Yuzhi Sun Wei Zhang Qingqiang Yao | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,2: | 2 |
