The AEMS is novel from all aspects covering idea,theory,method,software,and engineering. The essence of AEMS is exercising the hybrid automatic control theory and technology to realize multi-objective optimal closed-loop control of power systems. Based on an 'event-driven' strategy,the AEMS transforms multi-objective optimal control problems into event identification and elimination by defining the unsatisfactory states of a power system as events. | 3 | Impacts of technology-guided occupant behavior on air-conditioning system control and building energy use显示文摘Occupant behavior is an important factor affecting building energy consumption.Many studies have been conducted recently to model occupant behavior and analyze its impact on building energy use.However,to achieve a reduction of energy consumption in buildings,the coordination between occupant behavior and energy-efficient technologies are essential to be considered simultaneously rather than separately considering the development of technologies and the analysis of occupant behavior.It is important to utilize energy-efficient technologies to guide the occupants to avoid unnecessary energy uses.This study,therefore,proposes a new concept,“technology-guided occupant behavior”to coordinate occupant behavior with energy-efficient technologies for building energy controls.The occupants are involved into the control loop of central air-conditioning systems by actively responding to their cooling needs.On-site tests are conducted in a Hong Kong campus building to analyze the performance of“technology-guided occupant behavior”on building energy use.According to the measured data,the occupant behavior guided by the technology could achieve“cooling on demand”principle and hence reduce the energy consumption of central air-conditioning system in the test building about 23.5%,which accounts for about 7.8%of total building electricity use. | Rui Tang Shengwei Wang Shaobo Sun | 2021 | Building Simulation2021,14,1: | 6 |
| 4 | Noble Gas Isotopic Compositions of Cobalt-rich Ferromanganese Crusts from the Western Pacific Ocean and Their Geological Implications显示文摘Noble gas isotopic compositions of various layers in three-layered (outer, porous and compact layers) cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts and their basaltic and phosphorite substrates from the western Pacific Ocean were analyzed by using a high vacuum gas mass spectrum. The analytical results show that the noble gases in the Co-rich crusts have derived mainly from the ambient seawater, extraterrestrial grains such as interplanetary dust particles (IDPs) and wind-borne continental dust grains, and locally formation water in the submarine sediments, but different noble gases have different sources. He in the crusts derives predominantly from the extraterrestrial grains, with a negligible amount of radiogenic He from the eolian dust grains. Ar is sourced mainly from the dissolved air in the seawater and insignificantly from radiogenic Ar in the eolian continental dust grains or the formation water. Xe and Ne derive mainly from the seawater, with minor amounts of extraterrestrial Xe and Ne in the IDPs. Compared with the porous and outer layers, the compact layer has a relatively high 4He content and lower 3He/4He ratios, suggesting that marine phosphatization might have greatly modified the noble gas isotopic compositions of the crusts. Besides, the 3He/4He values of the basaltic substrates of the cobalt-rich crusts are very low and their R/Ra ratios are mostly <0.1 Ra, which are similar to that of phosphorite substrates (0.087 Ra), but much lower than that of fresh submarine MORB (8.75±2.14 Ra) or seamount basalts (3-43 Ra), implying that the basaltic substrates have suffered strong water/rock interaction and reacted with radiogenic 4He and P-rich upwelling marine currents during phosphatization. The trace elements released in the basalt/seawater interaction might favor the growth of cobalt-rich crusts. | 7 | Analysis of the visible fracture system of coalseam in Chengzhuang Coalmine of Jincheng City,Shanxi Province显示文摘In No. 3 coalseam of Chengzhuang Coalmine of Jincheng City, there exists the visible fracture system consisting of joints, gas-expanding fractures and cleats. The gas-expanding fractures develop mainly in the bright coal sub-layer and cleats, in the vitrain and bright coal. The joints fall into two types, one developing in the coalseam and the other cutting through the whole coalseam and entering into the top and bottom rock layer. The development direction of joints is basically similar to that of gas-expanding fractures: NNE and NNW. The formation of the visible fracture system is classified as the stage of the development of cleat fissures in the coalification period, the stage of the full development of cleats and the formation of gas-expanding fractures in the second coalification period and the stage of the formation of joints by structural function. There is the spatial unhomoge-neity in three dimensions for the visible fracture system of the coal seam in Chengzhuang Coalmine: the regular distribution of the visible fractures as groups in the plane and the coal sub-layer with high permeability rate in profile. | 11 | A wheat integrative regulatory network from large-scale complementary functional datasets enables trait-associated gene discovery for crop improvement显示文摘Gene regulation is central to all aspects of organism growth,and understanding it using large-scale functional datasets can provide a whole view of biological processes controlling complex phenotypic traits in crops.However,the connection between massive functional datasets and trait-associated gene discovery for crop improvement is still lacking.In this study,we constructed a wheat integrative gene regulatory network(wGRN)by combining an updated genome annotation and diverse complementary functional datasets,including gene expression,sequence motif,transcription factor(TF)binding,chromatin accessibility,and evolutionarily conserved regulation.wGRN contains 7.2 million genome-wide interactions covering 5947 TFs and 127439 target genes,which were further verified using known regulatory relationships,condition-specific expression,gene functional information,and experiments.We used wGRN to assign genome-wide genes to 3891 specific biological pathways and accurately prioritize candidate genes associated with complex phenotypic traits in genome-wide association studies.In addition,wGRN was used to enhance the interpretation of a spike temporal transcriptome dataset to construct high-resolution networks.We further unveiled novel regulators that enhance the power of spike phenotypic trait prediction using machine learning and contribute to the spike phenotypic differences among modern wheat accessions.Finally,we developed an interactive webserver,wGRN(http://gffzzaeec8df70e7c4b21hkkuvnpc5xnxv65ox.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/wGRN),for the community to explore gene regulation and discover trait-associated genes.Collectively,this community resource establishes the foundation for using large-scale functional datasets to guide trait-associated gene discovery for crop improvement. | Yongming Chen Yiwen Guo Panfeng Guan Yongfa Wang Xiaobo Wang Zihao Wang Zhen Qin Shengwei Ma Mingming Xin Zhaorong Hu Yingyin Yao Zhongfu Ni Qixin Sun Weilong Guo Huiru Peng | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,2: | 1 |
