| 1 | Weakening relationship between East Asian winter monsoon and ENSO after mid-1970s显示文摘The East Asian winter monsoon(EAWM) is characterized by the frequent cold surges and associated closely with the Siberia High,East Asian Trough,and high-level westerly jet stream.The ENSO cycle can modulate the EAWM since it has co-variability with the sea surface temperature over the Indo-Western-Pacific which can tune the land-sea thermal contrast for the EAWM.This paper,by analyzing the EAWM,ENSO,and associated atmosphere-ocean variability,documents the weakening of the EAWMENSO relationship after the 1970s.The significant out-of-phase inter-relationship is found to be diminished after the 1970s.Further study in this work suggests that the weakened co-variability of the tropical Indo-Western-Pacific climate associated with ENSO after the 1970s is partly responsible for the weakened inter-relationship.Meanwhile,the reduced EAWM interannual variability and northward retreat of the EAWM-associated climate variability are favorable to the weakened ENSO-EAWM connection. | WANG HuiJun HE ShengPing | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,27: | 39 |
| 2 | The increase of snowfall in Northeast China after the mid-1980s显示文摘We studied long-term variation of winter snowfall in Northeast China (NEC) for 1951-2010. Results show that NEC snowfall increased about 20% during 1986-2010 relative to 1951-1985. Further investigation suggests that the snowfall increase is closely associated with weakening of the East Asian winter monsoon (EAWM). The physical processes were portrayed by this research. Weakening of EAWM led to weakened cold air flow from the north, thus resulted in the warming of the surface ocean along the Northeast Asia coast and more water vapor evaporated from the ocean surface to the atmosphere and further transported to NEC. Also, because of EAWM weakening, more water vapor from south, east and west of NEC was transported to NEC, increasing water vapor content and hence snowfall there. | 3 | Impacts of the Autumn Arctic Sea Ice on the Intraseasonal Reversal of the Winter Siberian High显示文摘During 1979–2015, the intensity of the Siberian high(SH) in November and December–January(DJ) is frequently shown to have an out-of-phase relationship, which is accompanied by opposite surface air temperature and circulation anomalies.Further analyses indicate that the autumn Arctic sea ice is important for the phase reversal of the SH. There is a significantly positive(negative) correlation between the November(DJ) SH and the September sea ice area(SIA) anomalies. It is suggested that the reduction of autumn SIA induces anomalous upward surface turbulent heat flux(SHF), which can persist into November, especially over the Barents Sea. Consequently, the enhanced eddy energy and wave activity flux are transported to mid and high latitudes. This will then benefit the development of the storm track in northeastern Europe. Conversely, when downward SHF anomalies prevail in DJ, the decreased heat flux and suppressed eddy energy hinder the growth of the storm track during DJ over the Barents Sea and Europe. Through the eddy–mean flow interaction, the strengthened(weakened)storm track activities induce decreased(increased) Ural blockings and accelerated(decelerated) westerlies, which makes the cold air from the Arctic inhibited(transported) over the Siberian area. Therefore, a weaker(stronger) SH in November(DJ) occurs downstream. Moreover, anomalously large snowfall may intensify the SH in DJ rather than in November. The ensemble-mean results from the CMIP5 historical simulations further confirm these connections. | 4 | Teleconnection between Sea Ice in the Barents Sea in June and the Silk Road,Pacific–Japan and East Asian Rainfall Patterns in August显示文摘In contrast to previous studies that have tended to focus on the influence of the total Arctic sea-ice cover on the East Asian summer tripole rainfall pattern, the present study identifies the Barents Sea as the key region where the June sea-ice variability exerts the most significant impacts on the East Asian August tripole rainfall pattern, and explores the teleconnection mechanisms involved. The results reveal that a reduction in June sea ice excites anomalous upward air motion due to strong near-surface thermal forcing, which further triggers a meridional overturning wave-like pattern extending to midlatitudes.Anomalous downward motion therefore forms over the Caspian Sea, which in turn induces zonally oriented overturning circulation along the subtropical jet stream, exhibiting the east–west Rossby wave train known as the Silk Road pattern. It is suggested that the Bonin high, a subtropical anticyclone predominant near South Korea, shows a significant anomaly due to the eastward extension of the Silk Road pattern to East Asia. As a possible descending branch of the Hadley cell, the Bonin high anomaly ultimately triggers a meridional overturning, establishing the Pacific–Japan pattern. This in turn induces an anomalous anticyclone and cyclone pair over East Asia, and a tripole vertical convection anomaly meridionally oriented over East Asia. Consequently, a tripole rainfall anomaly pattern is observed over East Asia. | 6 | Interface tuning of Cu+/CuO by zirconia for dimethyl oxalate hydrogenation to ethylene glycol over Cu/SiO2 catalyst显示文摘An efficient ZrO2-doped Cu/SiO2 catalyst was fabricated through hydrolysis precipitation method(HP)and used to produce ethylene glycol(EG)through dimethyl oxalate(DMO)hydrogenation.The states for zirconia on copper catalyst and roles in DMO hydrogenation were investigated through various characterization tools,including N2 physical adsorption,XRD,H2-TPR,Methyl glycolate-TPD-MS,XPS,XAES as well.Compared with common ammonia evaporation and co-precipitation methods used in catalyst preparation,this HP method is found to effectively suppress the agglomeration and further size growth of copper nanoparticles by enhancing the interactions between copper and zirconia species.More importantly,uniform distribution of ZrO2 dopant is achieved due to the pseudo-homogeneous reactions in the mixing step of catalyst preparation.A proper amount of zirconium dopant helps achieve the desirable proportion of Cu+/(Cu++CuO)for surface copper species,especially promotes the production of Cu+species originated from Cu-ZrO2 species at the interface of copper and zirconia particles.In comparison with Cu+species formed from copper phyllosilicates reduction,the Cu+sites derived from Cu-ZrO2 species show higher adsorption ability of MG,an important intermediate species in ethylene glycol production.These adsorbed MG molecules further react with atomic hydrogen shifted from adjacent metallic copper surface,leading to a higher catalytic behavior.For the EG production via DMO hydrogenation,the turnover frequency(TOF)normalized by CuO species on CuZr/SiO2 catalyst is 1.8 times than that of traditional Cu/SiO2 counterpart.Due to the enhanced synergy effect between Cu+and Cuo active sites,a lower activation energy of ester hydrogenation on this ZrO2-doped Cu/SiO2 catalyst is believed to be responsible for the significant improvement. | Yujun Zhao Huanhuan Zhang Yuxi Xu Shengnian Wang Yan Xu Shengping Wang Xinbin Ma | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10: | 5 |

| 9 | Distribution of soil aggregates and organic carbon in deep soil under long-term conservation tillage with residual retention in dryland显示文摘To ascertain the effects of long-term conservation tillage and residue retention on soil organic carbon(SOC) content and aggregate distribution in a deep soil(>20-cm depth) in a dryland environment,this paper analyzed the SOC and aggregate distribution in soil, and the aggregate-associated organic carbon(OC) and SOC physical fractions. Conservation tillage(reduced tillage with residue incorporated(RT) and no-tillage with residue mulch(NT)) significantly increased SOC sequestration and soil aggregation in deep soil compared with conventional tillage with residue removal(CT). Compared with CT, RT significantly increased the proportion of small macroaggregates by 23%–81% in the 10–80 cm layer, and the OC content in small macroaggregates by 1%–58% in the 0–80 cm layer. RT significantly increased(by 24%–90%) the OC content in mineral-SOC within small macroaggregates in the 0–60 cm layer, while there was a 23%–80% increase in the 0–40 cm layer with NT. These results indicated that:(1) conservation tillage treatments are beneficial for soil aggregation and SOC sequestration in a deep soil in a dryland environment; and(2)the SOC in mineral-associated OC plays important roles in soil aggregation and SOC sequestration. | 11 | Variation in Principal Modes of Midsummer Precipitation over Northeast China and Its Associated Atmospheric Circulation显示文摘This study documents the first two principal modes of interannual variability of midsummer precipitation over Northeast China(NEC) and their associated atmospheric circulation anomalies. It is shown that the first principal mode exhibits the largest amount of variability in precipitation over the south of NEC(referred to as the south mode), whereas the second principal mode behaves with the greatest precipitation anomaly over the north of NEC(referred to as the north mode). Further findings reveal that, through modulating moisture transportation and upper-and lower-troposphere divergence circulation as well as vertical movement over NEC, the anomalous northwestern Pacific anticyclone and the anticyclone centered over northern NEC exert the dominant influence on the south and north modes, respectively. Additionally, it is quantitatively estimated that water vapor across the southern boundary of NEC dominates the moisture budget for the south mode, while the north mode has a close connection with moisture through NEC's northern and western boundaries. | 14 | Reconstruction clipping of ruptured anterior circulation aneurysms via supraorbital lateral keyhole approach显示文摘Background:Intracranial aneurysm(IA)is a serious disease.Analyze and review the cases of anterior circulation ruptured IA by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach,and summarize the experiences of this approach.Methods:Retrospective analysis of 16 cases of ruptured anterior circulation IA in our department from January 2019 to June 2020,CT angiography(CTA)was performed before operation.Analyzing the IA’s parameters by 3D-CT reconstruction.The IA was clipped by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with the 3D-skull reconstruction.Extraventricular drainage was performed before craniotomy.Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring was performed during the operation.After operation,fluorescein angiography and vascular ultrasound were performed to check the clipping effect.Intracranial pressure monitor was performed postoperatively.CTA was reexamined one week after operation.The modified Rankin Scale(MRS)was performed 6 months after operation.Results:There were 7 males(43.8%)and 9 females(56.2%),and the average age is 52.31±11.12 years old.Among them,11 patients(68.8%)were anterior communicating artery aneurysms and 5(31.2%)were middle cerebral artery aneurysms.All patients were out of hospital within 10 days without any death,without cerebral infarction,cerebrospinal fluid leakage and neurological impairments.About mRS score,after 6 months follow-up,8 cases(50%)had 0 point,4 cases(25%)had 1 point,and 4 cases(25%)had 2 points.Conclusions:For ruptured anterior circulation IA,the supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with ventricular drainage,intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring,and intraoperative vascular ultrasound is a safe and minimally invasive treatment.The application of reconstruction clipping can reconstruct the diameter of parent vessel and reduce the recurrence rate of IA. | Yuzhang Wu Yan Zhao Shengping Yu Fan Li Shifei Cai Chao Peng Zhen Wang Yifan Yang Bangyue Wang Xinyu Yang | 2022 | Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2022,8,2: | 2 |

| 16 | Connection between the Silk Road Pattern in July and the Following January Temperature over East Asia显示文摘This study investigates a cross-seasonal influence of the Silk Road Pattern(SRP)in July and discusses the related mechanism.Both the reanalysis and observational datasets indicate that the July SRP is closely related to the following January temperature over East Asia during 1958/59–2001/02.Linear regression results reveal that,following a higher-than-normal SRP index in July,the Siberian high,Aleutian low,Urals high,East Asian trough,and meridional shear of the East Asian jet intensify significantly in January.Such atmospheric circulation anomalies are favorable for northerly wind anomalies over East Asia,leading to more southward advection of cold air and causing a decrease in temperature.Further analysis indicates that the North Pacific sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTAs)might play a critical role in storing the anomalous signal of the July SRP.The significant SSTAs related to the July SRP weaken in October and November,re-emerge in December,and strengthen in the following January.Such an SSTA pattern in January can induce a surface anomalous cyclone over North Pacific and lead to dominant convergence anomalies over northwestern Pacific.Correspondingly,significant divergence anomalies appear,collocated in the upper-level troposphere in situ.Due to the advection of vorticity by divergent wind,which can be regarded as a wave source,a stationary Rossby wave originates from North Pacific and propagates eastward to East Asia,leading to temperature anomalies through its influence on the large-scale atmospheric circulation. | Shengping HE Yang LIU Huijun WANG | 2017 | Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,2: | 2 |
| 17 | Oxycarbonylation of methanol over modified CuY: Enhanced activity by improving accessibility of active sites显示文摘CuY zeolite is a promising catalyst in the field of manufacturing dimethyl carbonate(DMC) through oxidative carbonylation of methanol. Cu^+ exchanged with Br?nsted acid sites are supposed to be active for this reaction. However, the location of Cu^+ in small cages can not interact with reactants because of steric hindrance, which lead to a waste of Cu species. In this work, NH_4F solution was used to modify the pore structure of zeolite Y by etching the framework T atoms. Physical and chemical adsorption of probe molecules with different size are used to determine the changes of porosity as well as the accessibility of Cu^+ sites. At an optimized etching time, the small cages were opened with maintained zeolitic framework. | 19 | Tandem Biocatalysis by CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH2 and Novozym 435 for Highly Selective Transformation of HMF into FDCA显示文摘2,5-Furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) is a potential biorenewable chemical for applications including plastics, polyamides, drugs, etc. The selective biosynthesis of FDCA from 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) by a speci c enzyme poses a great challenge. In this study, we reported an e cient strategy to produce FDCA from HMF by the tandem biocatalysis of laccase (CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH 2 ) and Novozym 435. For the rst step, a nanoparticle metal organic framework was synthesized as a carrier to immobilize CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH 2 , which was assigned for the production of 5-formyl-2-furancarboxylic acid (FFCA) and featured an enzyme loading of 255.54 mg/g, speci c activity of 135.90 U/mg, and solid loading ratio of 99.65%. Under optimal conditions, an ideal FFCA yield of 98.5% was achieved, and the CotA-TJ102@UIO-66-NH2 pre- sented a high recycling capacity after 10 cycles. For the second step, Novozym 435 was applied for the further conversion of FFCA into FDCA, presenting a high FDCA yield of 95.5% under the optimized conditions. Novozym 435 also exhibited a high recyclability after eight cycles. | 20 | In-situ green synthesis of highly active GSH-capped Pt–Au–Ag-hybrid nanoclusters显示文摘Recently much attention has been paid to the application of metal hybrid nanoparticles in industrial catalytic fields because of their super-efficient catalytic activity and attractive properties. We explored a novel strategy to prepare GSH-capped Pt–Au–Ag-hybrid nanoclusters through the synergistic effect between ascorbic acid(VC) and glutathione(GSH) with chloroplatinic acid, chloroauric acid, and silver nitrate as precursors. The potential utilization of as-prepared GSH-capped Pt–Au–Aghybrid nanoclusters for catalytic applications has been evaluated through the reduction of 4-nitrophenol(4-NP) with NaBH4; we obtained the kinetic data by monitoring with UV-Vis spectroscopy. Our results illustrate that GSH-capped Pt–Au– Ag-hybrid nanoclusters could facilitate the process of reduction of 4-NP in a way that is unprecedented.
