| 1 | The zircon SHRIMP chronology and trace elementgeochemistry of the Carboniferous volcanic rocksin western Tianshan Mountains显示文摘The genesis of the Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Dahalajunshan group, mainly consisting of trachytes and trachy-andesites and distributing widely in western Tianshan Mountains, remains to be controversial. It has been proposed to be relevant to “rift” or “plume”. Detailed pe-trology and geochemical data presented in this paper show that these volcanic rocks represent typical continental arc magmatism. The volcanic rocks are mainly trachy-andesitic, and the magma source is enriched in LILE, Th and Pb, and depleted in HFSE and Ce. Trace element geochemical study suggests that the basalts could be modeled by 7%-11% partial melt of garnet lherzolite. The volcanic rocks in the Dahala-junshan group are neither the products of “rift” nor so-called “plume” but represent the continental island arc of the Pa-leo-Southern Tianshan Ocean. The mantle wedge had been modified by the melt generating in subduction zone during a long evolution history of this island arc. The continental crust materials (i.e. mainly sediment on ocean floor) had been added into island arc through melt in subduction zone. Volcanic rocks occurring in different regions might represent magma eruption in different time. The zircon SHRIMP dat-ing indicates that the ages of the basalt varies between 334.0 Ma and 394.9 Ma. The 13 analyses give an average age of 353.7 ±4.5 Ma (MSWD = 1.7). The apparent ages of zircons in trachy-andesite vary between 293.0 Ma and 465.4 Ma. All analyses fall on the U-Pb concordant line and are divided into two groups. 8 analyses produce an average age of 312.8±4.2 Ma (MSWD = 1.7), which represents the crystal-lizing age of zircon rims in trachy-andesite. The acquired two ages (i.e. 354 and 313 Ma) belong to the Early Carboniferous and Late Carboniferous epochs, respectively. | 4 | Late Miocene Red River submarine fan,northwestern South China Sea显示文摘A huge submarine fan is discovered through the research of the seismic and borehole data in the binding site of Yinggehai basin and Qiongdongnan basin in northwestern South China Sea.The fan,mainly formed during Late Miocene (Huangliu period) has an area over 10000 km 2 and maximum thickness of over 2000 m.It is characterized by a wedge-shaped oblique progradation configuration on the dip profile and a hummocky bidirectional progradation configuration on the strike profile.The core and Logging data from the well YC35-1-2 located in the front side of the fan indicate that sandy gravity flow deposits are predominant in lower Huangliu Formation and change to interbeds of sand and mud in upper Huangliu Formation.The fan is interpreted as a sand/mud-rich submarine fan in combination with the bathyal geological background of Huangliu period.A preliminary analysis of provenance indicates that neither the Guiren Uplift in the west nor the Hainan Uplift in the north can serve as the major provenance for the submarine fan.The provenance is considered to be from the Red River,based on the sedimentary facies study of the Huangliu Formation in Yinggehai basin.The fan is thus named as 'Red River submarine fan'.The Red River depositional system consists of the Red River submarine fan,the Red River delta,and associated submarine canyons.The discovery of the Red River submarine fan provides important information for the research of the uplift of Tibetan Plateau and the evolvement of Red River Fault Zone.Furthermore,it also points out a new direction for the deepwater hydrocarbon exploration in the northern South China Sea. | WANG YingMin XU Qiang LI Dong HAN JianHui LU Ming WANG YongFeng LI WeiGuo WANG HaiRong | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,14: | 28 |

| 7 | Fractionation of heavy metals in shallow marine sediments from Jinzhou Bay,China显示文摘This work investigated the distribution and speciation of Cd, Cu, Pb, Fe and Mn in the shallow sediments of Jinzhou Bay, Northeast China, which has been heavily contaminated by nonferrous smelting activities. The concentrations of Cd, Cu and Pb in sediments were found to be 100, 13 and 7 times, respectively, being higher than the national guideline (GB 18668-2002). Sequential extraction test showed that 39%-61% of Cd were exchangeable fractions, indicating that Cd in the sediments posed a high risk to local environments. While Cu and Pb were at moderate risk levels. | 8 | Vulnerability assessment of areas affected by Chinese cryospheric changes in future climate change scenarios显示文摘Using the definition of vulnerability provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change,this paper assesses the vulnerability of areas affected by Chinese cryospheric changes from 2001 to 2020 and from 2001 to 2050 in A1 and B1scenarios.Seven indices are used in the vulnerability assessment:glacial area fraction,interannual variability of permafrost depth,interannual variability of surface snow area fraction,interannual variability of surface runoff,interannual variability of surface temperature,interannual variability of vegetation growth,and interannual variability of the human development index.Assessment results show that the overall vulnerability of the studied areas in China increases from east to west.The areas in the middle and eastern parts of China are less vulnerable compared with western parts and parts of the Tibetan Plateau.The highest vulnerability values are found from 1981 to 2000,and the least ones are found from 2001 to 2050.The vulnerable areas increase from the period of 1981 to 2000 to the period of 2001 to 2050,and the less vulnerable areas decrease.The highly vulnerable areas increase from the period of 1981 to 2000 to the period of 2001 to 2020 and then decrease from the period of 2001 to 2020 to the period of 2001 to 2050.This decrease in vulnerability is attributed to the decrease in exposure and sensitivity to Chinese cryospheric changes along with a concomitant increase in adaptation. | HE Yong WU YongFeng LIU QiuFeng | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,36: | 18 |
| 9 | Significance of native arsenic in the Baogutu gold deposit, western Junggar, Xinjiang, NW China显示文摘Native arsenic together with comb quartz and stibnite is found in the Baogutu gold deposit, western Junggar (Xinjiang), NW China. It is anhedral with various grain size (<0.001 to 2 mm), and contains 98 wt% to 98.7 wt% As. Micro-granular electrum, the main auriferous mineral in the Baogutu gold deposit, is commonly enclosed in or closely accompanied by native arsenic. Three ore-forming paragenetic stages could be identified. Native arsenic mainly formed at stage II which is also the major stage for gold deposition. Mineral assemblage formed at this stage is native arsenic-stibnite-electrum-arseno- pyrite-miargyrite-freibergite-pyrrhotite-pyrite. Based on native arsenic and its coexisting minerals, the temperature (230 to 170℃), oxygen fugacity (logfO2 = -42―-56.5) and sulfur fugacity (logf S2 = -13.3― -16.6) of stage II are estimated. From stage I to stage II, the temperature, sulfur fugacity and S2- concentration of hydrothermal fluid decrease obviously, whereas the As concentration increases. Coexistence with native arsenic of electrum and its contents of 0.5 wt%―1.3 wt% As suggest that As is important to transport Au when S2- concentration decrease in hydrothermal fluid. | 10 | Effect of electroacupuncture on expression of Ang/Tie-2 mRNA and protein in rats with acute cerebral infarction显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify the intervention mechanism of the effect of electroacupuncture on the expression of Ang/Tie-2 m RNA and protein in rats with acute cerebral infarction induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).METHODS: Altogether 120 Wistar rats were subjected to MCAO by inserting a nylon filament, andthen divided into 3 groups: control group, injured group and electroacupuncture group. The injured and electroacupuncture groups were further divided into the following 7 subgroups according to the time after MCAO: 3, 6, 12, 24 h, 3, 7 and 12 d, with 8 rats in each subgroup. The electroacupuncture group was given electroacupuncture treatment at Shuigou(GV 26) instantly after operation. | 12 | Blocking FSH inhibits hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis and reduces serum cholesterol显示文摘Menopause is associated with dyslipidemia and an increased risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease.The classic view assumes that the underlying mechanism of dyslipidemia is attributed to an insufficiency of estrogen.In addition to a decrease in estrogen, circulating follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)levels become elevated at menopause.In this study,we find that blocking FSH reduces serum cholesterol via inhibiting hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis.First,epidemiological results show that the serum FSH levels are positively correlated with the serum total cholesterol levels,even after adjustment by considering the effects of serum estrogen,in addition,the prevalence of hypercholesterolemia is significantly higher in peri-menopausal women than that in premenopausal women.Furthermore,we generated a mouse model of FSH elevation by intraperitoneally injecting exogenous FSH into ovariectomized (OVX)mice,in which a normal level of estrogen (E2)was maintained by exogenous supplementation. Consistently,the results indicate that FSH,independent of estrogen,increases the serum cholesterol level in this mouse model. | 13 | Establishment of a novel corneal endothelial cell line from domestic rabbit,Oryctolagus curiculus显示文摘To develop a rabbit corneal endothelial (RCE) cell line, in vitro culture of RCE cells was initiated from Oryctolagus curiculus corneas and a novel RCE cell line was established in this study. To initiate the primary culture of RCE cells, corneas from rabbit eyes were sliced and attached into glutin-coated wells with endothelial cell surface down. After being cultured at a time-gradient interval from 48 to 6 h, the corneal slices were detached and reattached into new wells, respectively. Cells in the wells containing only a pure population of RCE cells were collected and cultured in 20% FBS-DMEM/F12 medium con- taining chondroitin sulfate, ocular extract, epidermal growth factor (EGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), carboxymethyl-chitosan, N-acetylglucosamine hydrochloride, glucosamine hydrochloride, culture medium of rabbit corneal stromal cells and oxidation-degradation products of chondroitin sul- fate at 37℃, 5% CO2. The cultured RCE cells, in quadrangle and polygonal shapes, proliferated to con- fluence 3 weeks later. During the subsequent subculture, the shape of RCE cells changed gradually from polygonal to more fibroblastic. A novel RCE cell line, growing at a steady rate, with a population doubling time of 53.8 h, has been established and subcultured to passage 67. Chromosome analysis showed that the RCE cells exhibited chromosomal aneuploidy with the modal chromosome number of 44. The results of immuno-cytochemical staining with neuron specific enolase (NSE) confirmed that the RCE cells were in neuroectodermal origin. Combined with the results of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment and endothelial cell morphology recovery, it can be concluded that the cell line established here is an RCE cell line. | 14 | Palaeogeomorphology and its control on the development of sequence stratigraphy and depositional systems of the Early Silurian in the Tarim Basin显示文摘The Silurian in the Tarim Basin was deposited on the basement deformed by the Caledonian tectonic movements at the end of the Late Ordovician. The development and distribution of sedimentary sequences of the Early Silurian have been clearly controlled by the palaeogeomorphology of the Late Ordovician. Based on unconformity characteristics and distribution of erosion, several zones can be differentiated including a high uplifted erosion zone, a transitional slope zone and a depression zone. The central and west Tabei Uplift zones show high angular unconformity and intense erosion. The Tarim Basin in the late Ordovician shows characteristics of higher in the west, lower in the east while higher in the south, lower in the north. The Early Silurian mainly developed transgressive and highstand systems tracts on the whole, while the lowstand systems tract only developed partly below the slope break. The palaeogeomorphology controlled the clastic source supply and deposit distribution. Braided delta system and tidal flat–estuary system were deposited. The duration of uplifting of the Tazhong paleouplift was longer than that of the Tabei paleo-uplift, and deposition was later. This led to the lower and middle members of the Kepingtage Formation missing in that area. As a large-scale transgression occurred during the deposition period of the upper member of the Kepingtage Formation, sediment from the west of the basin was transported and deposited by tides and waves, forming tidal–marine debris systems above the uplift. Proximal alluvial fan and fan delta coarse clastic deposits developed in proximal uplift zone in the east and southeast of the basin, and braided delta put forward to the transitional zone between the edge of uplift and the sea. Large-scale tidal channel, sub-distributary channel and mouth bar of the delta front can form favorable reservoirs, and they are primary targets for oil and gas exploration. | 15 | Tomato SlAN11 regulates flavonoid biosynthesis and seed dormancy by interaction with bHLH proteins but not with MYB proteins显示文摘The flavonoid compounds are important secondary metabolites with versatile human nutritive benefits and fulfill a multitude of functions during plant growth and development.The abundance of different flavonoid compounds are finely tuned with species-specific pattern by a ternary MBW complex,which consists of a MYB,a bHLH,and a WD40 protein,but the essential role of SlAN11,which is a WD40 protein,is not fully understood in tomato until now.In this study,a tomato WD40 protein named as SlAN11 was characterized as an effective transcription regulator to promote plant anthocyanin and seed proanthocyanidin(PA)contents,with late flavonoid biosynthetic genes activated in 35S::SlAN11 transgenic lines,while the dihydroflavonol flow to the accumulation of flavonols or their glycosylated derivatives was reduced by repressing the expression of SlFLS in this SlAN11-overexpressed lines.The above changes were reversed in 35S::SlAN11-RNAi transgenic lines except remained levels of flavonol compounds and SlFLS expression.Interestingly,our data revealed that SlAN11 gene could affect seed dormancy by regulating the expressions of abscisic acid(ABA)signaling-related genes SlABI3 and SlABI5,and the sensitivity to ABA treatment in seed germination is conversely changed by SlAN11-overexpressed or-downregulated lines.Yeast two-hybrid assays demonstrated that SlAN11 interacted with bHLH but not with MYB proteins in the ternary MBW complex,whereas bHLH interacted with MYB in tomato.Our results indicated that low level of anthocyanins in tomato fruits,with low expression of bHLH(SlTT8)and MYB(SlANT1 and SlAN2)genes,remain unchanged upon modification of SlAN11 gene alone in the transgenic lines.These results suggest that the tomato WD40 protein SlAN11,coordinating with bHLH and MYB proteins,plays a crucial role in the fine adjustment of the flavonoid biosynthesis and seed dormancy in tomato. | Yongfeng Gao Jikai Liu Yongfu Chen Hai Tang Yang Wang Yongmei He Yongbin Ou Xiaochun Sun Songhu Wang Yinan Yao | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018,5,1: | 13 |
| 16 | Accumulation and Reformation of Silurian Reservoir in the Northern Tarim Basin显示文摘Silurian sandstone in Tarim Basin has good reservoir properties and active oil and gas shows,especially thick widely-distributed bituminous sandstone.Currently,the Silurian was found containing both bitumen and conventional reservoirs,with petroleum originating from terrestrial and marine source rocks.The diversity of their distribution was the result of 'three sources,three stages' accumulation and adjustment processes.'Three sources' refers to two sets of marine rocks in Cambrian and Middle-Upper Ordovician,and a set of terrestrial rock formed in Triassic in the Kuqa depression.'Three stages' represents three stages of accumulation,adjustment and reformation occurring in Late Caledonian,Late Hercynian and Late Himalayan,respectively.The study suggests that the Silurian bitumen is remnants of oil generated from Cambrian and Ordovician source rocks and accumulated in the sandstone reservoir during Late Caledonian-Early Hercynian and Late Hercynian stages,and then damaged by the subsequent two stages of tectonic uplift movements in Early Hercynian and Pre-Triassic.The authors presumed that the primary paleo-reservoirs formed during these two stages might be preserved in the Silurian in the southern deep part of the Tabei area.Except for the Yingmaili area where the Triassic terrestrial oil was from the Kuqa Depression during Late Himalayan Stage,all movable oil reservoirs originated from marine sources.They were secondary accumulations from underlying Ordovician after structure reverse during the Yanshan-Himalayan stage.Oil/gas shows mixed-source characteristics,and was mainly from Middle-Upper Ordovician.The complexity and diversity of the Silurian marine primary properties were just defined by these three stages of oil-gas charging and tectonic movements in the Tabei area. | ZHU Guangyou CUI Jie SU Jin YANG Haijun ZHANG Bin HU Jianfeng ZHU Yongfeng | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1: | 13 |
| 17 | Petrogenesis and tectonic implications of Late-Triassic high εNd(t)-εHf(t) granites in the Ailaoshan tectonic zone(SW China)显示文摘High εNd(t)-εHf(t) granites are robust evidence for crustal growth. In this paper we report results of petrologic, geochronological and geochemical investigations on the Huashiban granites from the Ailaoshan tectonic zone in western Yunnan(SW China). Zircon grains separated from the two samples(10HH-119 A and 10HH-120A) yield the weighted mean 206Pb/238 U ages of 229.9 ± 2.0 Ma and 229.3 ± 2.3 Ma, respectively, interpreted as the crystallization ages of the granites. Based on our results, in combination with the existing U-Pb geochronological data for the Ailaoshan metamorphic rocks, we propose that the Ailaoshan Group might be a rock complex composed of the Mesoproterozoic, Neoproterozoic, Hercynian, Indosinian and Himalayan components, rather than a part of the crystalline basement of the Yangtze block. The zircon grains show highly depleted Lu-Hf isotope compositions, with positive εHf(t) values ranging from 8.4 to 13.1. The Huashiban granites have high SiO2(72.66 wt%–73.70 wt%), low Mg#(0.28–0.34) with A/CNK=1.01–1.05, and can be classified as peralumious high-K calc-alkaline I-type granites. A synthesis of these data indicates that the Ailaoshan tectonic zone had evolved into a post-collisional setting by the Late-Triassic(229 Ma). | 19 | Novel Insights into Energy Storage Mechanism of Aqueous Rechargeable Zn/MnO2 Batteries with Participation of Mn2+显示文摘Aqueous rechargeable Zn/MnO2 zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)are reviving recently due to their low cost,non-toxicity,and natural abundance.However,their energy storage mechanism remains controversial due to their complicated electrochemical reactions.Meanwhile,to achieve satisfactory cyclic stability and rate performance of the Zn/MnO2 ZIBs,Mn2+ is introduced in the electrolyte(e.g.,ZnSO4 solution),which leads to more complicated reactions inside the ZIBs systems.Herein,based on comprehensive analysis methods including electrochemical analysis and Pourbaix diagram,we provide novel insights into the energy storage mechanism of Zn/MnO2 batteries in the presence of Mn2+.A complex series of electrochemical reactions with the coparticipation of Zn2+,H+,Mn2+,SO42-,and OH-were revealed.During the first discharge process,co-insertion of Zn2+ and H+ promotes the transformation of MnO2 into ZnxMnO4,MnOOH,and Mn2O3,accompanying with increased electrolyte pH and the formation of ZnSO4·3 Zn(OH)2-5 H2O.During the subsequent charge process,ZnxMnO4,MnOOH,and Mn2O3 revert to a-MnO2 with the extraction of Zn2+ and H+,while ZnSO4·3Zn(OH)2·5H2O reacts with Mn2+ to form ZnMn3O7·3 H2O.In the following charge/discharge processes,besides aforementioned electrochemical reactions,Zn2+ reversibly insert into/extract from α-MnO2,ZnxMnO4,and ZnMn3O7·3H2O hosts;ZnSO4·3Zn(OH)2·5 H2O,Zn2Mn3O8,and ZnMn2O4 convert mutually with the participation of Mn2+.This work is believed to provide theoretical guidance for further research on high-performance ZIBs. | Yongfeng Huang Jian Mou Wenbao Liu Xianli Wang Liubing Dong Feiyu Kang Chengjun Xu | 2019 | Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,3: | 11 |
