Coinfection with influenza A virus enhances SARS-CoV-2 infectivity显示文摘The upcoming flu season in the Northern Hemisphere merging with the current COVID-19 pandemic raises a potentially severe threat to public health.Through experimental coinfection with influenza A virus(IAV)and either pseudotyped or live SARS-CoV-2 virus,we found that IAV preinfection significantly promoted the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2 in a broad range of cell types.Remarkably,in vivo, increased SARS-CoV-2 viral load and more severe lung damage were observed in mice coinfected with IAV.Moreover, such enhancement of SARS-CoV-2 infectivity was not observed with several other respiratory viruses, likely due to a unique feature of IAV to elevate ACE2 expression. This study illustrates that IAV has a unique ability to aggravate SARS-CoV-2 infection, and thus, prevention of IAV infection is of great significance during the COVID-19 pandemic. | Lei Bai Yongliang Zhao Jiazhen Dong Simeng Liang Ming Guo Xinjin Liu Xin Wang Zhixiang Huang Xiaoyi Sun Zhen Zhang Lianghui Dong Qianyun Liu Yucheng Zheng Danping Niu Min Xiang Kun Song Jiajie Ye Wenchao Zheng Zhidong Tang Mingliang Tang Yu Zhou Chao Shen Li Zhou Yu Chen Huan Yan Ke Lan Ke Xu | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,4: | 16
Numerical simulation of the influences of sinker weight on the deformation and load of net of gravity sea cage in uniform flow显示文摘A numerical model for determining fishing net configuration and load is developed, based on the lumped masses method. The model is used to analyze the influences on the net of gravity sea cage by different sinker weights in uniform flow. The net of gravity sea cage is simulated under different current velocities and sinker weights. In order to verify the validity of the numerical results, model test results made by Lader and Enerhaug are cited and compared with the numerical ones. The results of numerical simulation agree well with the experimental ones and the agreement is within an error range of 13% under different velocities and sinker weights. The numerical results indicate that increasing the sinker weight can effectively reduce the net deformation, but the total drag force on the net will increase accordingly. Results will give references for better knowledge of the hydrodynamic behavior of gravity sea cage. | LI Yucheng ZHAO Yunpeng GUI Fukun TENG Bin DONG Guohai | 2006 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2006,25,3: | 16
Three-Dimensional Tidal Model and Its Application to Numerical Simulation of Water Quality in Coastal Waters显示文摘- The turbulence mechanism plays an important part in the mixing process and momentum transfer of turbulence. A three-dimensional Prandtl mixing length tidal model has been developed to simulate tidal flows and water quality. The eddy viscosities and diffusivities are computed from the Prandtl mixing length model. In order to model the water quality of an estuary or coastal area many interdependent processes need to be simulated. These may be conveniently separated into three main groups: transport and mixing processes, biochemical interaction of water quality variables and the utilization and re-cycling of nutrients by living matter. The model simulates full oxygen and nutrient balance, primary productivity and the transport, reaction mechanism and fate of pollutants over tidal time-scales. The model is applied to numerical simulation of tidal flows and water quality in Dalian Bay. The model has been calibrated against a limited data set of historical water quality observations and in general | Shen Yongming , Li Yucheng and Zhao Wenqian Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023 Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023 Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Sichuan Union University, Chengdu 610065 | 1994 | China Ocean Engineering1994,9,4: | 5
Wing load investigation of the plunge-diving locomotion of a gannet Morus inspired submersible aircraft显示文摘In this paper,we studied the wing root pivot joint’s radial load of a submersible airplane which imitates the locomotion of gannet’s Morus plunge-diving,by implementing a test device name Mimic-Gannet.The housing of the device was designed by mimicking the morphology of a living gannet, and the folding wings were realized by the mechanism of variable swept back wing. Then, the radial loads of the wing root were obtained under the conditions of different dropping heights, different sweptback angles and different water-entry inclination angles(i.e.,the angle between the longitudinal body axis and the water surface),and the relationships between the peak radial load and the above three parameters were analyzed and discussed respectively. In the studied areas, the minimum peak radial load of the pivot joint is 50.93 N,while the maximum reaches up to1135.00 N.The largest peak load would be generated for the situation of vertical water entry and zero wing sweptback angle. And it is of great significance to choose the three parameters properly to reduce the pivot joint’s radial load,i.e.,larger wing sweptback angle, smaller dropping height and water-entry inclination angle. It is also concluded that the peak radial load on the wing root is closely linear with the water-entry dropping height and the wing sweptback angle with a significant correlation.Eventually, the relationship between the wing load and the dropping height,water-entry inclination angle or wing sweptback angle, could be used to calculate the wing load about plunge-diving of a submersible aircraft, and the conclusions reveal the wing load characteristic of the gannet’s plunge process for the biologists. | LIANG JianHong YAO GuoCai WANG TianMiao YANG XingBang ZHAO WenDi SONG Gang ZHANG YuCheng | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,2: | 5
Filtering detecting signal of rockbolt with harmonic wavelet显示文摘Harmonic wavelets not only possess the traditional advantages of a wavelet function, they also have other merits such as clear expressions, more flexible time-frequency divisions,a simple transformation algorithm,a finer box-like frequency spectrum and others.Given the frequency distribution characteristics of the nondestructive testing signals from a rockbolt support system and based on the discrete harmonic wavelet transformation theory,we have effectively abstracted signals from frequency ranges concerned by removing useless high and low frequency signals from the testing signals of the rockbolt support system and obtained filtered signals with a reconstruction algorithm of harmonic wavelets. Finally,we applied the harmonic wavelet transformation in filtering analog signals and measured response signals of rockbolts. The results indicate that harmonic wavelets also have excellent filtering characteristics. | WANG Jiyan ZHAO Yucheng YAO Banghua XU Jinhai | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,3: | 5
Wearable CNT/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/PDMS composite strain sensor with enhanced stability for real-time human healthcare monitoring显示文摘Strain sensors with good stability are vital to the development of wearable healthcare monitoring systems. However, the design of strain sensor with both duration stability and environmental stability is still a challenge. In this work,we propose an ultra-stable and washable strain sensor by embedding a coupled composite film of carbon nanotube(CNT)and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene into polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)matrix. The composite strain sensor with embedded microstructure and uneven surface makes it conformal to skin, while the CNT/MXene sensing layer exhibits a resistance sensitive to strain. This sensor shows reliable responses at different frequencies and with long-term cycling durability(over 1,000 cycles).Meanwhile, the CNT/MXene/PDMS composite strain sensor provides the advantages of superior anti-interference to temperature change and water washing. The results demonstrate less than 10%resistance changes as the temperature rises from-20 to 80℃or after sonication in water for 120 min, respectively. The composite sensor is applied to monitor human joint motions, such as bending of finger, wrist and elbow. Moreover, the simultaneous monitoring of the electrocardiogram(ECG)signal and joint movement while riding a sports bicycle is demonstrated, enabling the great potential of the as-fabricated sensor in real-time human healthcare monitoring. | Xiaowen Xu Yucheng Chen Pei He Song Wang Kai Ling Longhui Liu Pengfei Lei Xianjun Huang Hu Zhao Jianyun Cao Junliang Yang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,8: | 5
120 mm Single-crystalline perovskite and wafers: towards viable applications显示文摘As the large single-crystalline silicon wafers have revolutionized many industries including electronics and solar cells, it is envisioned that the availability of large single-crystalline perovskite crystals and wafers will revolutionize its broad applications in photovoltaics, optoelectronics, lasers, photodetectors, light emitting diodes(LEDs), etc. Here we report a method to grow large single-crystalline perovskites including single-halide crystals: CH3NH3PbX3(X=I, Br, Cl), and dual-halide ones:CH3NH3Pb(ClxBr1.x)3 and CH3NH3Pb(BrxI1.x)3, with the largest crystal being 120 mm in length. Meanwhile, we have advanced a process to slice the large perovskite crystals into thin wafers. It is found that the wafers exhibit remarkable features:(1)its trap-state density is a million times smaller than that in the microcrystalline perovskite thin films(MPTF);(2) its carrier mobility is 410 times higher than its most popular organic counterpart P3HT;(3) its optical absorption is expanded to as high as910 nm comparing to 797 nm for the MPTF;(4) while MPTF decomposes at 150 °C, the wafer is stable at high temperature up to270 °C;(5) when exposed to high humidity(75% RH), MPTF decomposes in 5 h while the wafer shows no change for overnight;(6) its photocurrent response is 250 times higher than its MPTF counterpart. A few electronic devices have been fabricated using the crystalline wafers. Among them, the Hall test gives low carrier concentration with high mobility. The trap-state density is measured much lower than common semiconductors. Moreover, the large SC-wafer is found particularly useful for mass production of integrated circuits. By adjusting the halide composition, both the optical absorption and the light emission can be fine-tuned across the entire visible spectrum from 400 nm to 800 nm. It is envisioned that a range of visible lasers and LEDs may be developed using the dual-halide perovskites. With fewer trap states, high mobility, broader absorption, and humidity resistance, it is expected that solar cells with high stable efficiency maybe attainable using the crystalline wafers. | Yucheng Liu Xiaodong Ren Jing Zhang Zhou Yang Dong Yang Fengyang Yu Jiankun Sun Changming Zhao Zhun Yao Bo Wang Qingbo Wei Fengwei Xiao Haibo Fan Hao Deng Liangping Deng Shengzhong (Frank) Liu | 2017 | Science China Chemistry2017,60,10: | 5
First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. We for the first time extended the limit to the m_(χ)<6 GeV/c^(2) region. | Yi Wang Zhi Zeng Qian Yue LiTao Yang KeJun Kang YuanJing Li Mehment Agartioglu HaiPeng An JianPing Chang JingHan Chen YunHua Chen JianPing Cheng Cheng Yi Chiang WenHan Dai Zhi Deng ChangHao Fang XinPing Geng Hui Gong QiuJu Guo XuYuan Guo HongJian He Li He ShengMing He JinWei Hu TuChen Huang HanXiong Huang HaiTao Jia LiPing Jia Xi Jiang HauBin Li JianMin Li Jin Li MingXuan Li RenMingJie Li Xia Li YuLan Li Bin Liao FongKay Lin ShinTed Lin ShuKui Liu YanDong Liu Yu Liu YuanYuan Liu ZhongZhi Liu Hao Ma YuCai Mao QiYuan Nie JinHua Ning Hui Pan NingChun Qi Jie Ren XiChao Ruan ChangSong Shang Vivek Sharma Ze She Lakhwinder Singh Monoj Kumar Singh TianXi Sun ChangJian Tang WeiYou Tang Yang Tian GuangFu Wang Li Wang Qing Wang Yu Chen Wang YunXiang Wang Zhen Wang Henry Tsz-King Wong ShiYong Wu YuCheng Wu HaoYang Xing Yin Xu Tao Xue YuLu Yan Nan Yi ChunXu Yu HaiJun Yu JianFeng Yue Ming Zeng BingTao Zhang Lei Zhang FengShou Zhang ZhenYu Zhang KangKang Zhao MingGang Zhao JiFang Zhou ZuYing Zhou JingJun Zhu | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,8: | 3
FRACTAL DIMENSION OF TIME SERIES APPLIED TO IDENTIFICATION OF CRITICAL SPEED OF JEFFCOTT ROTOR SYSTEM显示文摘The dynamical behaviors of logistic map(May’s model) and duffing equation are studiedthrough fractal dimension of time series at different parameters. It is shown that the parameters ofdynamical behaviors can be identified effectively by the curve of fractal dimension with parameterincrements. For further verification, the relation between the fractional dimension of time series androtational speed can be used to identify critical speed effectively by using this method to a plate Jef-foctt rotor system. | 10 | First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). An upper limit on the effective Majorana-neutrino mass of 5.0 eV has been achieved. | Li Wang Qian Yue KeJun Kang JianPing Cheng YuanJing Li TszKing Henry Wong ShinTed Lin JianPing Chang JingHan Chen QingHao Chen YunHua Chen Zhi Deng Qiang Du Hui Gong Li He QingJu He JinWei Hu HanXiong Huang TengRui Huang LiPing Jia Hao Jiang HauBin Li Hong Li JianMin Li Jin Li Jun Li Xia Li XueQian Li YuLan Li FongKay Lin ShuKui Liu Hao Ma JingLu Ma XingYu Pan Jie Ren XiChao Ruan ManBin Shen Vivek Sharma Lakhwinder Singh Manoj Kumar Singh Manoj Kumar Singh Arun Kumar Soma ChangJian Tang WeiYou Tang ChaoHsiung Tseng JiMin Wang Qing Wang ShiYong Wu YuCheng Wu HaoYang Xing Yin Xu Tao Xue LiTao Yang SongWei Yang Nan Yi ChunXu Yu HaiJun Yu WeiHe Zeng XiongHui Zeng Zhi Zeng Lan Zhang YunHua Zhang MingGang Zhao Wei Zhao JiFang Zhou ZuYing Zhou JingJun Zhu WeiBin Zhu ZhongHua Zhu | 2017 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2017,60,7: | 3
Soil microbial community structure and activity in a 100-year-old fertilization and crop rotation experiment显示文摘Aims Nitrogen(N)fertilization and lime addition may affect soil micro-bial and nematode communities and ecosystem functions through changing environmental conditions, such as soil pH and soil organic carbon. The objectives of this experiment were to examine the impact of N input and liming on soil microbial and nematode communities and to identify the key environmental determinant of community composition in a century-old fertilization and crop rota-tion experiment. Methods The field experiment consisting of a 3-year crop rotation regime was established in 1911 in southeastern USA.Four treatments,(i)no-input control,(ii)NPK with winter legume,(iii)PK with legume and lime and(iv)NPK with legume and lime, were included in this study.soil samples collected at the 0-5 cm depth were used to determine the bacterial growth rate by the 3H-thymidine incorporation technique.Incorporation of 13C into neutral lipids, glycolipids and phospholipid fatty acids(PlFas)was measured after incubation of soil with 13C-labeled acetate for 24 h.Free-living nematodes in fresh soil were extracted using a density sucrose centrifugal flotation method and identified to trophic group level.Important Findingsliming resulted in a 10-fold increase in bacterial growth rates compared with the no-input control, whereas N fertilization had no significant effect.multivariate analysis of PlFa profiles showed that soil microbial community composition was different among the four treatments;the difference was primarily driven by soil pH.PlFas indicative of gram-negative bacteria covaried with soil pH,but not those of fungi and actinobacteria.liming enhanced 13C incorpora-tion into neutral lipids, glycolipids and phospholipids by 2-15 times. In addition,13C incorporation into 16:0,16:1ω9,18:1ω9,18:1ω7 and 18:2ω6 were greater than other PlFas,suggesting that gram-negative bacteria and fungi were more active and sensitive to simple C input.bacterivorous nematodes were the dominant trophic group in the soil, but no significant differences in nematode communities were found among the treatments.our results suggest that soil pH had a greater impact than N fertilization on soil microbial community composition and activity in a crop rotation system including legumes. | Cancan Zhao Shenglei Fu Reji P.Mathew Kathy S.Lawrence Yucheng Feng | 2015 | Journal of Plant Ecology2015,8,6: | 3

Integration of full-length transcriptomics and targeted metabolomics to identify benzylisoquinoline alkaloid biosynthetic genes in Corydalis yanhusuo显示文摘Corydalis yanhusuo W.T.Wang is a classic herb that is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine and is efficacious in promoting blood circulation, enhancing energy, and relieving pain.Benzylisoquinoline alkaloids(BIAs)are the main bioactive ingredients in Corydalis yanhusuo. However, few studies have investigated the BIA biosynthetic pathway in C.yanhusuo, and the biosynthetic pathway of species-specific chemicals such as tetrahydropalmatine remains unclear. We performed full-length transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses to identify candidate genes that might be involved in BIA biosynthesis and identified a total of 101 full-length transcripts and 19 metabolites involved in the BIA biosynthetic pathway. Moreover, the contents of 19 representative BIAs in C.yanhusuo were quantified by classical targeted metabolomic approaches.Their accumulation in the tuber was consistent with the expression patterns of identified BIA biosynthetic genes in tubers and leaves, which reinforces the validity and reliability of the analyses.Full-length genes with similar expression or enrichment patterns were identified, and a complete BIA biosynthesis pathway in C.yanhusuo was constructed according to these findings.Phylogenetic analysis revealed a total of ten enzymes that may possess columbamine-O-methyltransferase activity, which is the final step for tetrahydropalmatine synthesis. Our results span the whole BIA biosynthetic pathway in C.yanhusuo.Our full-length transcriptomic data will enable further molecular cloning of enzymes and activity validation studies. | Dingqiao Xu Hanfeng Lin Yuping Tang Lu Huang Jian Xu Sihui Nian Yucheng Zhao | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2
Thermal Performance of Elliptical Fin-and-Tube Heat Exchangers with Vortex Generator under Various Inclination Angles显示文摘Elliptical fin-and-tube heat exchangers are commonly used in air conditioning, heating, refrigeration industries, and ventilation. This study numerically investigates the effect of vortex generators on the performance of elliptical fin-and-tube heat exchanger under different inclination angles. In this study, air flow that is in the transitional regime is selected as the working fluid.Reynolds numbers at the inlet are varied in a range of 1300 to 2100,and the shear stress transport k-ωturbulence model is selected to solve the non-closure of basic turbulence equations. The ellipticity ratios of the tubes which are used for the analysis are between 0.6 and 1.0,and the inclination angles are varied from 15°to 75°.The effects of different inclination angles of vortex generators on the Colburn factor j,friction factor f,and efficiency index j/f are analyzed. The friction and Colburn factors are observed to increase with increasing vortex generator inclination angles. It is found that the efficiency factors for a 15°vortex generator inclination angle at 0.6,0.7,0.8,and 0.9 ellipticity ratios improve compared to the corresponding cases with no vortex generator. However, the vortex generator cannot improve the efficiency factor of the circular tube heat exchanger. The 3 D CFD method employed by this study has great potential for use in optimally designing the arrangement of the vortex generators to enhance the performance of heat exchangers. | WANG Yucheng ZHAO Wensheng WANG Pengfei JIANG Jin LUO Xiangyu | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1: | 2
A novel non-stoichiometric medium-entropy carbide stabilized by anion vacancies显示文摘Recently,high-entropy ceramics have attracted considerable attentions because of comprehensive physical and chemical properties of high hardness, fracture toughness, and conductivity. However,as a newly emerging class of materials, the synthesis, performance and applications of high-entropy ceramics are subject to further development. Here,we reported a new non-stoichiometric TiC0.4/WC/0.5Mo2C medium-entropy carbide(MEC)with a rock-salt structure.Attributed to the solid solution strengthening and twinning strengthening, the TiCO0.4/WC/0.5Mo2C sintered at 1900℃by spark plasma sintering(SPS)shows superior mechanical behaviors of microhardness(21.7 GPa),which exceeds that expected from the rule of mixture(ROM)of three individual metal carbides(19.1 GPa)and good fracture toughness(5.3 MPa m1/2).Significantly,the bulk synthesized via high-pressure and high-temperature(HPHT)sintering possesses smaller grain size and shows better comprehensive mechanical properties of microhardness(23.7 GPa)and fracture toughness(6.2 MPa m1/2).In addition, the effect of anion vacancies on the thermodynamic stability and synthesizability of TiC0.4/WC/0.5Mo2C was analyzed via quantitatively calculated entropy.Vacancies could significantly enhance the configuratio nal entropy of mixing of the solid phase. The introduction of vacancy defects may expand synthetic path for entropy-stabilized ceramics, especially for multi-component high tempe rature refractory ceramics. | Chong Peng Hu Tang Yu He Xiaoqian Lu Peng jia Guoying Liu Yucheng Zhao Mingzhi Wang | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,16: | 2

Recent advanced development of stabilizing sodium metal anodes显示文摘As the application of next-generation energy storage systems continues to expand, rechargeable secondary batteries with enhanced energy density and safety are imperative for energy iteration.Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have attracted extensive attention and are recognized as ideal candidates for large-scale energy storage due to the abundant sodium resources and low cost.Sodium metal anodes(SMAs)have been considered as one of the most attractive anode materials for SIBs owing to their high specific capacity(1166 mAh g^(-1)),low redox potential, and abundant natural resources. However, the uncontrollable dendrite growth and inevitable side reactions on SMA lead to the continuous deterioration of the electrochemical performance, causing serious safety concerns and limiting their practical application in the future. Therefore, the construction of stable dendrite-free SMAs is a pressing problem for advanced sodium metal batteries(SMBs).In this review,we comprehensively summarize the research progress in suppressing the formation of sodium dendrite, including artificial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),liquid electrolyte modification,three-dimensional(3D)host materials, and solid-state electrolyte.Additionally, key aspects and prospects of future research directions for SMAs are highlighted. We hope that this timely review can provide an overall picture of sodium protection strategies and stimulate more research in the future. | Liyu Zhu Yucheng Li Jingyang Zhao Jing Liu Luying Wang Jiandu Lei | 2023 | Green Energy & Environment2023,8,5: | 1
