2Sample maturation calculated using Raman spectroscopic parameters for solid organics: Methodology and geological applications显示文摘The shape and shift of Raman peak of solid organics prove to be capable of revealing atomic and molecular level vibration information of aromatic ring structure and its relationship with sample maturation. Raman 'D' peaks and 'G' peaks of a series of continuously maturated coal samples were measured, and the inter-peak intervals (G-D) and peak height ratios (Dh/Gh) were derived and correlated with the vitrinite reflectance (vRo%) of standard coal samples. As a result, two formulae were established by using the two Raman indices for calculation of Raman reflectance (RmcRo%), which is equivalent to vitrinite reflectance. The formula for calculating Raman reflectance indicative of organic maturation using Raman shift inter-peak interval (G-D) is RmcRo%=0.0537d(G-D)-11.21, which is mainly applicable to matured to highly matured carbonized samples of solid organics; The formula for calculating Raman reflectance indicative of organic maturation using Raman peak height ratio (Dh/Gh) is RmcRo%=1.1659h (Dh/Gh)+2.7588, which is mainly applicable to carbonized samples of solid organics that are over matured or going to be turned into granulated graphite. 3MicroRNA-548 down-regulates host antiviral response via direct targeting of IFN-λ1显示文摘Interferon(IFN)-mediated pathways are a crucial part of the cellular response against viral infection.Type III IFNs,which include IFN-λ1,2 and 3,mediate antiviral responses similar to Type I IFNs via a distinct receptor complex.IFN-λ1 is more effective than the other two members.Transcription of IFN-λ1 requires activation of IRF3/7 and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB),similar to the transcriptional mechanism of Type I IFNs.Using reporter assays,we discovered that viral infection in-duced both IFN-λ1 promoter activity and that of the 3′-untranslated region(UTR),indicating that IFN-λ1 expression is also regulated at the post-transcriptional level.After analysis with microRNA(miRNA)prediction programs and 3′UTR targeting site assays,the miR-NA-548 family,including miR-548b-5p,miR-548c-5p,miR-548i,miR-548j,and miR-548n,was identified to target the 3′UTR of IFN-λ1.Further study demonstrated that miRNA-548 mimics down-regulated the expression of IFN-λ1.In contrast,their inhibitors,the complemen-tary RNAs,enhanced the expression of IFN-λ1 and IFN-stimulated genes.Furthermore,miRNA-548 mimics promoted infection by enterovirus-71(EV71)and ve-sicular stomatitis virus(VSV),whereas their inhibitors significantly suppressed the replication of EV71 and VSV.Endogenous miRNA-548 levels were suppressed during viral infection.In conclusion,our results sug-gest that miRNA-548 regulates host antiviral response via direct targeting of IFN-λ1,which may offer a poten-tial candidate for antiviral therapy.Yongkui Li Jiajia Xie Xiupeng Xu Jun Wang Fang Ao Yushun Wan Ying Zhu 2013Protein & Cell2013,4,2:22

5Concatenating construction of the multisymplectic schemes for 2+1-dimensional sine-Gordon equation显示文摘In this paper, taking the 2+1-dimensional sine-Gordon equation as an example, we present the concatenating method to construct the multisymplectic schemes. The method is to discretizee independently the PDEs in different directions with symplectic schemes, so that the multisymplectic schemes can be constructed by concatenating those symplectic schemes. By this method, we can construct multisymplectic schemes, including some widely used schemes with an accuracy of any order. 8Microstructure and mechanical properties of A356 alloy with yttrium addition processed by hot extrusion显示文摘The effects of the rare earth element yttrium(Y) and hot extrusion on the microstructure and mechanical properties of A356 alloy were investigated by mechanical properties testing and microstructure observation. The results indicate that the addition of Y improves the microstructure of the as-cast alloy. The distribution of primary α-Al is uniform and orderly. The long needle-like eutectic Si phases and β-Fe phases turn to strips and short rods. When the content of Y increases to 0.2 wt%, the mean diameter of aAl(40.3 μm) and the aspect ratio of the eutectic Si phase(2.3) reach the minimum values, which are68.9% and 86.1% lower, respectively, than that of the alloy without Y addition. Under extrusion stress, the shape of the eutectic Si phase is changed from long rod-like to near grain-like after solution treatment.The size of the eutectic Si phase is significantly reduced. The needle-like β-Fe phases are squeezed and broken. The mechanical properties of the as-extruded alloy are significantly improved compared to the as-cast alloy. When the rare earth content is 0.2 wt%, the ultimate tensile strength, hardness and elongation of the alloy reach the maximum values, which are 328.2 MPa, 110.4 HV and 21.3%, respectively, and increase by 42.01%, 37.71% and 481.91%, respectively, in comparison to the as-cast alloy without Y addition.Zhifan Wei Yushun Lei Hong Yan Xihao Xu Jiajia He 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,6:11
9Local structure-preserving algorithms for partial differential equations显示文摘In this paper, we discuss the concept of local structure-preserving algorithms (SPAs) for partial differential equations, which are the natural generalization of the corresponding global SPAs. Local SPAs for the problems with proper boundary conditions are global SPAs, but the inverse is not necessarily valid. The concept of the local SPAs can explain the difference between different SPAs and provide a basic theory for analyzing and constructing high performance SPAs. Furthermore, it enlarges the applicable scopes of SPAs. 10Inducible Rubicon facilitates viral replication by antagonizing interferon production显示文摘The RUN domain Beclin-1-interacting cysteine-rich-containing(Rubicon)protein is involved in the maturation step of autophagy and the endocytic pathway as a Beclin-1-binding partner,but little is known regarding the role of Rubicon during viral infection.Here,we performed functional studies of the identified target in interferon(IFN)signaling pathways associated with Rubicon to elucidate the mechanisms of viral resistance to IFN.The Rubicon protein levels were elevated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells,sera and liver tissues from patients with hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection relative to those in healthy individuals.Assays of the overexpression and knockdown of Rubicon showed that Rubicon significantly promoted HBV replication.In addition,Rubicon knockdown resulted in the inhibition of enterovirus 71,influenza A virus and vesicular stomatitis virus.The expression o0f Rubicon led to the suppression of virus-induced type-I interferon(IFN-αand IFN-β)and type-III interferon(IFN-λ1).Translocation of activated IRF3 and IRF7 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus was involved in this process,and the NF-κB essential modulator(NEMO),a key factor in the IFN pathway,was the target with which Rubicon interacted.Our results reveal a previously unrecognized function of Rubicon as a virus-induced protein that binds to NEMO,leading to the inhibition of type-I interferon production.Rubicon thus functions as an important negative regulator of the innate immune response,enhances viral replication and may play a role in viral immune evasion.Yushun Wan Wei Cao Tao Han Sheng Ren Jian Feng TieLong Chen Jun Wang Ruth Broering Mengji Lu Ying Zhu 2017Cellular & Molecular Immunology2017,14,7:4
11A comparison of zooplankton assemblages in Nansi Lake and Hongze Lake,potential influences of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project,China显示文摘Nansi Lake and Hongze Lake are both water storage lakes along the East Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer project(ESNT).Frequent changes in hydrologic properties are responsible factors for controlling the zooplankton community assemblages in both lakes,so we studied the possible influence of water transfer and environmental factors on zooplankton community structure and abundance.Zooplankton assemblages were investigated seasonally for one year in both lakes;a total of 133 and 122 zooplankton taxa were identified in Nansi Lake and Hongze Lake,respectively.The most dominant rotifer species were littoral,e.g.,Keratella tecta,Keratella valga and Lecane lunaris in Nansi Lake and Brachionus angularis,Brachionus forficula and Polyarthra vulgaris in Hongze Lake.Comparatively,Nansi Lake had a higher Shannon-Wiener diversity index value(5.13),while Hongze Lake had a higher species richness index(4.21).The average number of zooplankton across seasons in Nansi Lake(protozoa:774±63 ind./L,rotifers:4817±212 ind./L,cladocerans:896±14 ind./L,copepod:435±42 ind./L)was comparatively lower than Hongze Lake(protozoa:1238±63 ind./L,rotifers:6576±112 ind./L,cladocerans:1013±20 ind./L,copepod:534±25 ind./L).Canonical correspondence analysis identified differing environmental gradients that were most responsible for influencing zooplankton communities in the two lakes(Hongze Lake:NH4-N,total nitrogen,transparency and pH;Nansi:pH,temperature and total phosphorus).Frequent changes related to water transfer in lakes favoured the diversity of rotifers and protozoa communities.Zooplankton habitat preference,changes in community structure and opportunistic peaks and extinction of certain taxa were also observed in the study lakes.Kandathil Radhakrishnan DIVYA Shasha ZHAO Yushun CHEN Fei CHENG Lei ZHANG Jiao QIN Thundiparambil Sathrajith ARUNJITH V.Bjorn SCHMIDT Songguang XIE 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,2:3

13Heat dissipation characteristics of anode saturable reactors with high thermal conductivity epoxy resin used for ultra-high-voltage direct current converter valves显示文摘A saturable reactor is one of the important components of converter valves in high-voltage direct current transmission systems.With the ever-increasing capacities of converter valves,the heat losses generated by saturable reactors are also increasing.Thus,a thermal-fluid mechanics coupled heat dissipation model for saturable reactors is proposed.In order to study the factors affecting the thermal dissipation in the saturable reactor,the epoxy resin insulating layers with different thermal conductivity were considered in this work.The simulation results showed that the hot spots in the saturable reactor are on the iron core and close to the pipe inlet that most of the generated heat can be extracted by a cooling pipe and that the effect of heat dissipation can be improved by raising the thermal conductivity of the epoxy resin.The thermal conductivities of the epoxy resin used in the two reactors were 0.8 and 1.2 W/mK,respectively.The time dependence of the iron core temperature was in accordance with the simulation results and the maximum temperatures of the saturable reactor were also consistent with the simulation results.By increasing the thermal conductivity of the epoxy insulation layer,the temperature of the iron core could be significantly reduced.Yang Wei Chen WeiJiang Zhou Yuan Zhang Chong Zhang Zhuo Chen Xin Zhao YuShun Bian XingMing 2020High Voltage2020,5,5:2

15Apoptosis of A549 cells by small interfering RNA targeting survivin delivery using poly-β-amino ester/guanidinylated O-carboxymethyl chitosan nanoparticles显示文摘Gene-based therapeutics has emerged as a promising approach for human cancer therapy. Among a variety of non-viral vectors, polymer vectors are particularly attractive due to their safety and multivalent groups on their surface. This study focuses on guanidinylated O-carboxymethyl chitosan(GOCMCS) along with poly-β-amino ester(PBAE) for si RNA delivery. Binding efficiency of PBAE/si RNA/GOCMCS nanoparticles were characterized by gel electrophoresis. The si RNA-loaded nanoparticles were found to be stable in the presence of RNase A, serum and BALF respectively. Fine particle fraction(FPF) which was determined by a two-stage impinger(TSI) was 57.8% ± 2.6%. The particle size and zeta potential of the nanoparticles were 153.8 ± 12.54 nm and + 12.2 ± 4.94 m V. In vitro cell transfection studies were carried out with A549 cells. The cellular uptake was significantly increased. When the cells were incubated with si Survivin-loaded nanoparticles, it could induce 26.83% ± 0.59% apoptosis of A549 cells and the gene silencing level of survivin expression in A549 cells were 30.93% ± 2.27%.
