Advances in fabrication of ceramic corundum abrasives based on sol–gel process显示文摘Corundum abrasives with good chemical stability can be fabricated into various free abrasives and bonded abrasive tools that are widely used in the precision machining of various parts. However, these abrasives cannot satisfy the machining requirements of difficult-to-machine materials with high hardness, high strength, and strong wearing resistance.Although superhard abrasives can machine the above-mentioned materials, their dressing and manufacturing costs are high.By contrast, ceramic corundum abrasives fabricated by sol–gel method is a costeffective product between conventional and superhard abrasives.Ceramic corundum abrasives exhibit self-sharpening and high toughness. In this review, the optimization methods of ceramic corundum abrasive properties are introduced from three aspects:precursor synthesis, particle shaping, and sintering.Firstly, the functional mechanism of seeds and additives on the microstructural and mechanical properties of abrasives is analyzed.Specifically, seeds can reduce the phase transition temperature and improve fracture toughness. The grain size and uniformly dense structure can be controlled by applying an appropriate amount of multicomponent additives. Then, the urgent need of engineering application and machinability of special shape ceramic corundum abrasives is reviewed, and three methods of abrasive shaping are summarized. The micromold replication technique is highly advanced and can be used to prepare functional abrasives.Additionally, the influence of a new sintering method,namely,two-step sintering technique,on the microstructural and mechanical performance of ceramic corundum abrasives is summarized. Finally, the challenge and developmental trend of the optimization of ceramic corundum abrasives are prospected. | Baoteng HUANG Changhe LI Yanbin ZHANG Wenfeng DING Min YANG Yuying YANG Han ZHAI Xuefeng XU Dazhong WANG Sujan DEBNATH Muhammad JAMIL Hao Nan Li Hafiz Muhammad ALI Munish Kumar GUPTA Zafar SAID | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,6: | 11

High detectivity photodetectors based on perovskite nanowires with suppressed surface defects显示文摘Solution-processable,single-crystalline perovskite nanowires are ideal candidates for developing low-cost photodetectors, but their detectivities are limited due to a high level of unintentional defects.Through the surfaceinitiated solution-growth method,we fabricated high-quality,single-crystalline,defects-suppressed MAPbI_(3) nanowires, which possess atomically smooth side surfaces with a surface roughness of 0.27 nm,corresponding to a carrier lifetime of 112.9 ns.By forming ohmic MAPbI_(3)∕Au contacts through the dry contact method, highperformance metal–semiconductor–metal photodetectors have been demonstrated with a record large linear dynamic range of 157 dB along with a record high detectivity of 1.2×10^(14) Jones at an illumination power density of 5.5 nW∕cm^(2).Such superior photodetector performance metrics are attributed to,first, the defects-suppressed property of the as-grown MAPbI_(3) nanowires, which leads to a quite low noise current in the dark, and second, the ohmic contact between MAPbI_(3) and Au interfaces, which gives rise to an improved responsivity compared with the Schottky contact counterpart. The realized high-performance MAPbI_(3) nanowire photodetector advances the development of low-cost photodetectors and has potential applications in weak-signal photodetection. | GUOHUI LI RUI GAO YUE HAN AIPING ZHAI YUCHENG LIU YUE TIAN BINING TIAN YUYING HAO SHENGZHONG LIU YUCHENG WU YANXIA CUI | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,12: | 4
ASAF: altered spontaneous activity fingerprinting in Alzheimer’s disease based on multisite fMRI显示文摘Several monocentric studies have noted alterations in spontaneous brain activity in Alzheimer's disease (AD), although there is no consensus on the altered amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations in AD patients. The main aim of the present study was to identify a reliable and reproducible abnormal brain activity pattern in AD. The amplitude of local brain activity (AM), which can provide fast mapping of spontaneous brain activity across the whole brain, was evaluated based on multisite rs-fMRI data for 688 subjects (215 normal controls (NCs), 221 amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) 252 AD). Two-sample t-tests were used to detect group differences between AD patients and NCs from the same site. Differences in the AM maps were statistically analyzed via the Stouffer's meta-analysis. Consistent regions of lower spontaneous brain activity in the default mode network and increased activity in the bilateral hippocampus/parahippocampus, thalamus, caudate nucleus, orbital part of the middle frontal gyrus and left fusiform were observed in the AD patients compared with those in NCs. Significant correlations (P?0.05, Bonferroni corrected) between the normalized amplitude index and Mini-Mental State Examination scores were found in the identified brain regions, which indicates that the altered brain activity was associated with cognitive decline in the patients. Multivariate analysis and leave-one-site-out cross-validation led to a 78.49% prediction accuracy for single-patient classification. The altered activity patterns of the identified brain regions were largely correlated with the FDG-PET results from another independent study. These results emphasized the impaired brain activity to provide a robust and reproducible imaging signature of AD. | Jiachen Li Dan Jin Ang Li Bing Liu Chengyuan Song Pan Wang Dawei Wang Kaibin Xu Hongwei Yang Hongxiang Yao Bo Zhou Alexandre Bejanin Gael Chetelat Tong Han Jie Lu Qing Wang Chunshui Yu Xinqing Zhang Yuying Zhou Xi Zhang Tianzi Jiang Yong Liu Ying Han | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,14: | 3

D-aspartate mainly serves as a neurotransmitter and has been demonstrated to exhibit various physiological functions, including nutritional potential, regulation on reproduction and hormone biology, and neuron protection. This article mainly reviews the synthesis, racemization, and physiological functions of D-aspartate with emphasis on the potential in diseases. | Yuying Li Hui Han Jie Yin Tiejun Li Yulong Yin | 2018 | Animal Nutrition2018,,3: | 3 |
Biochar-Induced Priming Effects in Young and Old Poplar Plantation Soils显示文摘The priming effect(PE)induced by biochar provides a basis for evaluating its carbon(C)sequestration potential in soils.A 60 days’laboratory incubation was conducted, which involved the amendment of biochar(1%of soil mass)produced from rice straw at 300℃(B300)and 500℃(B500)to young(Y)and old(O)poplar plantation soils, with the aim of studying the responses of biochar-induced PEs to poplar plantation ages. This incubation included six treatments:Y+CK(control),Y+B300,Y+B500,O+CK,O+B300,and O+B500.Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions were significantly increased(p<0.05)in the B300 amended soils, while it was decreased in the B500 amended soils compared to the CK.The primed CO_(2) emissions were 2.35 times higher in the Y+B300 than the O+B300 treatments, which was measured to be 18.6 and 5.56 mg C·kg^(-1) with relative PEs of 12.4%and 3.35%,respectively.However,there was little difference between the primed CO_(2) emissions in Y+B500 and O+B500 treatments, which were measured to be-24.9 and-29.6 mg·C·kg^(-1) with relative PEs of-16.6%and-17.8%,respectively.Dissolved organic carbon(DOC)was significantly lower in the young poplar plantation soil than that in the old poplar plantation soil regardless of biochar amendment throughout the incubation, indicating greater C-limit of soil microorganisms in the young poplar plantation soil.Using ^(13)C isotope tracing, neither B300 nor B500 decreased native soil-derived DOC,which indicated that the negative B500-induced PEs were not due to a reduction in the availability of native soil-derived C.In conclusion, the response of biochar-induced PEs to poplar plantation age depends on biochar types while soil available C indirectly affects biochar-induced PEs.Further studies should focus on how the interactive effects between soil C availability and microbial community impacts biochar-induced PEs. | Weiwei Lu Yirui Zhang Yixian Yao Yuying Wu Han Y.H.Chen Hailin Zhang Jia Yu Caiqin Shen Qi Liu Honghua Ruan | 2020 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,1: | 2

Reduced dietary nitrogen with a high Lys:CP ratio restricted dietary N excretion without negatively affecting weaned piglets显示文摘We hypothesized that balancing the content of exogenous amino acids, especially lysine, to reduce protein content in swine diets could reduce nitrogen(N) pollution associated with animal husbandry. Two experiments(45 d each experiment) were performed on weaned piglets(Duroc x Landrace x Yorkshire,28 d of age) to test this and to determine the optimal lysine to crude protein(Lys:CP) ratio in diet. In Exp. 1,12 piglets(6 replicates [n = 6]) were fed diets containing different levels of CP(17% and 20%) but the same level of Lys, Increased CP content resulted in significant increases(P < 0.05) of average daily gain(ADG), average daily feed intake(ADFI), and body weight(BW);but did not affect the feed to gain ratio. In Exp. 2,24 piglets(8 replicates [n = 8]) were fed 1 of 3 diets as follows: 1) 20% CP with a regular Lys:CP ratio(6.23%, control);2) 17% CP with a reduced Lys:CP ratio(6.14%, LL);or 3) 17% CP with a standard Lys:CP ratio(7.32%, SL). The ADG, final BW, serum concentrations of growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor-1, villus height in the jejunum, and villus height to crypt depth ratio were the lowest in piglets fed LL diet, whereas blood urea N concentration was the lowest and the value of lipase activity was the highest in the piglets fed SL diet. The SL diet did not affect growth performance, intestinal morphology, or serum hormone concentrations, indicating that reduced dietary N with a high Lys:CP ratio can efficiently reduce dietary N excretion without negatively affecting weaned piglets. | Hongnan Liu Li Wu Hui Han Yuying Li Lijian Wang Jie Yin Wenjun Fan Miaomiao Bai Jiming Yao Xingguo Huang Tiejun Li | 2019 | Animal Nutrition2019,,2: | 2
Passivation of degradation path enables high performance perovskite nanoplatelet lasers with high operational stability显示文摘MAPbI_(3)perovskite has attracted widespread interests for developing low-cost near infrared semiconductor gain media. However,it faces the instability issue under operation conditions, which remains a critical challenge. It is found that the instability of the MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet laser comes from the thermal-induced degradation progressing from the surface defects towards neighboring regions.By using PbI_(2) passivation, the defect-initiated degradation is significantly suppressed and the nanoplatelet degrades in a layer-by-layer way, enabling the MAPbI_(3)laser to sustain for 4500 s(2.7×10^(7) pulses),which is nearly three times longer than that of the nanoplatelet laser without passivation.Meanwhile, the PbI_(2) passivated MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet laser with the nanoplatelet cavity displays a maximum quality factor up to∼7800,the highest reported for all MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet cavities.Furthermore,a high stability MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet laser that can last for 8500 s(5.1×10^(7) pulses)is demonstrated based on a dual passivation strategy,by retarding the defect-initiated degradation and surface-initiated degradation simultaneously. This work provides in-depth insights for understanding the operating degradation of perovskite lasers, and the dual passivation strategy paves the way for developing high stability near infrared semiconductor laser media. | GUOHUI LI HUIHUI PI YANFU WEI BOLIN ZHOU YA GAO RONG WEN YUYING HAO HAN ZHANG BENG S.ONG YANXIA CUI | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,6: | 2
A biomimetic experimental study of magnesium ion mineralization in Mg-enriched aragonite显示文摘In this work, we test the hypothesis that the Mg2+content in biogenic aragonite has a systematic relationship with biomolecules. A series of biomimetic experiments were conducted to show the dependence of Mg2+in aragonite on the model organic molecules added to the mineralizing solution, including the concentration of various organics, mineralization temperature, Mg/Ca ratio and Mg2+initial concentration. The mineralized products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES). High Mg2+is detected in aragonite obtained in the presence of organics, whereas the lowest Mg2+is measured in aragonite without organics. Moreover, the concentration of Mg2+in aragonite increases gradually with the amended organics. Mg K-edge NEXAFS spectra show that the magnesium microenvironment in aragonite is similar to the organic-associated environment, indicating that the Mg2+ions are not on the aragonite lattices, but adhere to the intracrystalline organics. Furthermore, the mineralization temperature, Mg/Ca ratio and Mg2+content in mineralization medium significantly influence Mg2+content in aragonite, reiterating the effect of the microenvironment on aragonite biomineralization. | Qizhi YAO Yuying WANG Yifan ZHANG Han LI Gentao ZHOU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,10: | 1

Scalable synthesis of macroscopic porous carbon sheet anode for potassium-ion capacitor显示文摘Carbon materials hold the great promise for application in energy storage devices owing to their low cost, high thermal/chemical stability, and high electrical conductivity. However, it remains challenging to synthesize high-performance carbon electrodes in a simple, scalable and sustainable way. Here, we report a facile method for scalable synthesis of porous carbon anode by using cheap and easily accessible zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 as a template and polyvinylpyrrolidone as an additional carbon source. The obtained porous carbon shows the macroscopic sheet-like morphology, which has the highly disordered structure, expanded interlayer spacing, abundant pore structure, and nitrogen doping properties. This porous carbon anode is demonstrated to have the excellent K^(+) charge storage properties in specific capacity, rate capability, and cycling stability. A potassium-ion capacitor assembled by using this porous carbon as the anode, delivers a maximum energy density of 85.12 Wh/kg and power density of 11860 W/kg as well as long cycle life exceeding 3000 cycles. This represents a critical advance in the design of low cost and scalable carbon material for applications in energy storage devices. | Yuying Qin Yuhao Xie Han Zhao Chunyan Zhu Tong Li Shuxian Zhang Rutao Wang Yuanchang Shi Longwei Yin | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,3: | 1

USP21 deubiquitylates Nanog to regulate protein stability and stem cell pluripotency显示文摘The homeobox transcription factor Nanog has a vital role in maintaining pluripotency and self-renewal of embryonic stem cells(ESCs).Stabilization of Nanog proteins is essential for ESCs.The ubiquitin–proteasome pathway mediated by E3 ubiquitin ligases and deubiquitylases is one of the key ways to regulate protein levels and functions.Although ubiquitylation of Nanog catalyzed by the ligase FBXW8 has been demonstrated, the deubiquitylase that maintains the protein levels of Nanog in ESCs yet to be defined. In this study,we identify the ubiquitin-specific peptidase 21(USP21)as a deubiquitylase for Nanog, but not for Oct4 or Sox2.USP21 interacts with Nanog protein in ESCs in vivo and in vitro. The C-terminal USP domain of USP21 and the C-domain of Nanog are responsible for this interaction.USP21 deubiquitylates the K48-type linkage of the ubiquitin chain of Nanog, stabilizing Nanog.USP21-mediated Nanog stabilization is enhanced in mouse ESCs and this stabilization is required to maintain the pluripotential state of the ESCs.Depletion of USP21 in mouse ESCs leads to Nanog degradation and ESC differentiation.Overall, our results demonstrate that USP21 maintains the stemness of mouse ESCs through deubiquitylating and stabilizing Nanog. | Xingyu Liu Yuying Yao Huiguo Ding Chuanchun Han Yuhan Chen Yuan Zhang Chanjuan Wang Xin Zhang Yiling Zhang Yun Zhai Ping Wang Wenyi Wei Jing Zhang Lingqiang Zhang | 2016 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2016,1,1: | 1
A Density Functional Theory Study of the Geometric and Electronic Structure of MgF_2 (110) Surface显示文摘Ab initio density functional theory (DFT) was employed to study geometric and electronic structure of MgF2 (110) surface. Three different clean surface models have been considered. The results show that the surface terminated with one-layer F has the smallest relaxation and the lowest surface energy, which indicates this model is the most energetically favorable structure of MgF2(110) surface. Furthermore, the electronic properties are also discussed from the point of density of states and charge density. Analysis of electronic structure shows that the band gap of the surface is significantly narrowed with respect to the bulk. | 18 | Reproducible Abnormalities and Diagnostic Generalizability of White Matter in Alzheimer’s Disease显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is associated with the impairment of white matter(WM)tracts. The current study aimed to verify the utility of WM as the neuroimaging marker of AD with multisite diffusion tensor imaging datasets[321 patients with AD,265 patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI),279 normal controls(NC)],a unified pipeline, and independent site cross-validation.Automated fiber quantification was used to extract diffusion profiles along tracts.Random-effects meta-analyses showed a reproducible degeneration pattern in which fractional anisotropy significantly decreased in the AD and MCI groups compared with NC.Machine learning models using tract-based features showed good generalizability among independent site cross-validation.The diffusion metrics of the altered regions and the AD probability predicted by the models were highly correlated with cognitive ability in the AD and MCI groups. We highlighted the reproducibility and generalizability of the degeneration pattern of WM tracts in AD. | Yida Qu Pan Wang Hongxiang Yao Dawei Wang Chengyuan Song Hongwei Yang Zengqiang Zhang Pindong Chen Xiaopeng Kang Kai Du Lingzhong Fan Bo Zhou Tong Han Chunshui Yu Xi Zhang Nianming Zuo Tianzi Jiang Yuying Zhou Bing Liu Ying Han Jie Lu Yong Liu Multi-Center Alzheimer’s Disease Imaging(MCADI)Consortium | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,10: | 0

Robust boron nanoplatform provokes potent tumoricidal activities via inhibiting heat shock protein显示文摘Near-infrared(NIR)-light-triggered photothermal therapy(PTT)is a promising treatment for breast cancer. However, its therapeutic efficiency is often compromised due to the heatinduced up-regulation of heat shock proteins, which confer photothermal resistance. To solve this urgent problem,PEGylated two-dimensional boron nanosheets(B-PEG)-which allow both multimodal imaging and photothermal conversion-were loaded with gambogic acid(GA),which can inhibit heat shock protein 90(Hsp90).Experimental findings indicated that this combination of B-PEG and GA could serve as an integrated drug delivery system for cancer diagnosis and treatment. It could be used to administer mild PTT as well as chemotherapy for breast cancer, provide improved anti-tumor effects, and reduce the toxicity of PTT,all while inhibiting breast cancer growth. This drug delivery system could offer a novel tool for administering chemotherapy combined with PTT while avoiding the adverse effects of traditional PTT. | Yuying Zhao Ning Liu Piaoxue Liu Taojian Fan Rui Ma Huijie Hong Xiaojia Chen Zhongjian Xie Han Zhang Qi Wang Tongkai Chen | 2022 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,5: | 0
