2Ground Surface Ruptures and Near-Fault,Large-Scale Displacements Caused by the Wenchuan Ms8.0 Earthquake Derived from Pixel Offset Tracking on Synthetic Aperture Radar Images显示文摘The 12 May 2008 Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake produced surface displacements along the causative fault,the Yingxiu-Beichuan Fault,which are up to several meters near the fault.Because of the large gradient,satellite synthetic aperture radar(SAR) interferometric data are strongly incoherent;the usual SAR interferometry method does not allow such displacements to be measured.In the present study,we employed another approach,the technique based on pixel offset tracking,to solve this problem.The used image data of six tracks are from the Advanced Land Observing Satellite,Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar(ALOS/PALSAR) dataset of Japan.The results show that the entire surface rupture belt is 238 km long,extending almost linearly in a direction of 42° north-east.It is offset left laterally by a north-west-striking fault at Xiaoyudong,and turns at Gaochuan,where the rupture belt shifts toward the south by 5 km,largely keeping the original trend.In terms of the features of the rupture traces,the rupture belt can be divided into five sections and three types.Among them,the Beichuan-Chaping and Hongkou-Yingxiu sections are relatively complex,with large widths and variable traces along the trend.The Pingtong-Nanba and Qingping-Jingtang sections appear uniform,characterized by straight traces and small widths.West of Yingxiu,the rupture traces are not clear.North of the rupture belt,surface displacements are 2.95 m on average,mostly 2-3.5 m,with 7-9 m the maximum near Beichuan.South of the rupture belt,the average displacement is 1.75 m,dominated by 1-2 m,with 3-4 m at a few sites.In the north,the displacements in the radar line of sight are of subsidence,and in the south,they are uplifted,in accordance with a right-slip motion that moves the northern wall of the fault to the east,and the southern wall to the west,respectively.Along the Guanxian-Jiangyou Fault,there is a uplift zone in the radar line of sight,which is 66 km long,1.5-6 km wide,and has vertical displacements of approximately 2 m,but no observable rupture traces.QU Chunyan SHAN Xinjian LIU Yunhua ZHANG Guohong SONG Xiaogang ZHANG Guifang GUO Liming HAN Yufei 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,2:10

6Intelligent Optimization Methods for the Design of an Overhead Travelling Crane显示文摘In design optimization of crane metal structures, present approaches are based on simple models and mixed variables, which are difficult to use in practice and usually lead to failure of optimized results for rounding variables. Crane metal structure optimal design(CMSOD) belongs to a constrained nonlinear optimization problem with discrete variables. A novel algorithm combining ant colony algorithm with a mutation-based local search(ACAM) is developed and used for a real CMSOD for the first time. In the algorithm model, the encoded mode of continuous array elements is introduced. This not only avoids the need to round optimization design variables during mixed variable optimization, but also facilitates the construction of heuristic information, and the storage and update of the ant colony pheromone. Together with the proposed ACAM, a genetic algorithm(GA) and particle swarm optimization(PSO) are used to optimize the metal structure of a crane. The optimization results show that the convergence speed of ACAM is approximately 20% of that of the GA and around 11% of that of the PSO. The objective function value given by ACAM is 22.23% less than the practical design value, a reduction of 16.42% over the GA and 3.27% over the PSO. 7Deformation of the Haiyuan-Liupanshan fault zone inferred from the denser GPS observations显示文摘The Haiyuan-Liupanshan fault,an active tectonic feature at the Tibetan Plateau's northeastern boundary,was ruptured by two MS earthquakes(1920 and 1927)bracketing an unbroken section(the Tianzhu seismic gap).A high seismic hazard is expected along the gap.To monitor deformation characteristics and do a seismic risk assessment,we made measurements at two newly built campaign-mode Global Positioning System(GPS) stations and 13 pre-existing stations in 2013 and 2014.Adding existing data from 1999 to 2014,we derived a new velocity field.Based on the horizontal velocity,we used three block models to invert the deformation of four crustal blocks.The results suggest non-uniform deformation in the interior of the Lanzhou block,the Ordos block and the Alaxan block,but uniform deformation in the Qilian block.Fault slip rates derived from block models show a decreasing trend from west to east,(2.0-3.2 mm/a on the Haiyuan fault to 0.9-1.5 mm/a on the Liupanshan fault).The Haiyuan fault evidences sinistral striking-slip movement,while the Liupanshan fault is primarily thrusting due to transformation of the displacement between the strike-slip and crustal shortening.The locking depth of each segment along the Haiyuan fault obtained by fitting the fault parallel velocities varies drastically from west to east(21.8-7.1 km).The moment accumulation rate,calculated using the slip rate and locking depth,is positively correlated with the locking depth.Given the paucity of large seismic events during the previous millennium,the Tuolaishan segment and the Maomaoshan segment have higher likelihood of nucleation for a future event.Yanchuan Li Chunyan Qu Xinjian Shan Xiaogang Song Guohong Zhang Weijun Gan Shaoyan Wen Zhenjie Wang 2015Earthquake Science2015,28,5:4

12Microwave triggered multifunctional nanoplatform for targeted photothermal-chemotherapy in castration-resistant prostate cancer显示文摘Lacking a precise targeting strategy,castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)is still hard to be treat effectively.Exploring treatment options that can accurately target CPRC is an important issue with urgent need.In this study,a novel nanotechnologybased strategy had been developed for the precise target treatment of CRPC.By combining microwaves and photothermal therapy(PTT),this nanoplatform,cmHSP70-PL-AuNC-DOX,targets tumor tissues with outstanding precision and achieves better anti-tumor activity by simultaneously eliciting photothermal and chemotherapeutic effects.From nanotechnology,cmHSP70-modified and thermo-sensitive liposome-coated AuNC-DOX were prepared and used for CRPC-targeted photothermal ablation and chemotherapy.Doxorubicin(DOX)was selected as the chemotherapeutic agent for cytotoxicity.In terms of the curative scheme,prostate tissues were firstly pre-treated with microwaves to induce the expression of heat shock protein 70(HSP70)and its migration to the cell membrane,which was then targeted by HSP70 antibody(cmHSP70)coated on the nanoparticles to achieve accurate drug delivery.The nanoplatform then achieved precise ablation and controlled release of DOX under external near-infrared(NIR)irradiation.Through the implementation,the targeting,cell killing,and safety of this therapeutical strategy had been verified in vivo and in vitro.This work establishes an accurate,controllable,efficient,non-invasive,and safe treatment platform for targeting CRPC,provides a rational design for CRPC’s PTT,and offers new prospects for nanomedicines with great precision.Pengyuan Liu Yajun Wu Xiaogang Xu Xudong Fan Chuan Sun Xiaojie Chen Jindan Xia Shiting Bai Li Qu Huasong Lu Jing Wu Jun Chen Ji-Gang Piao Zhibing Wu 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:2
13The Surface Rupture Zone and Coseismic Deformation Produced by the Yutian Ms7.3 Earthquake of 21 March 2008,Xinjiang显示文摘On 21 March 2008,a Ms7.3 earthquake occurred at Quickbird,Yutian County,Xinjiang.We attempt to reveal the features of the causative fault of this shock and its coseismic deformation field.Our work is based on analysis and interpretation to high-resolution satellite images as well as differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar(D-InSAR) data from the satellite Envisat SAR,coupled with seismicity,focal mechanism solutions and active tectonics in this region.The result shows that the 40km-long,nearly NS trending surface rupture zone by this event lies on a range-front alluvial platform in Qira County.It is characterized by distinct linear traces and simple structure with 1-3-m-wide individual seams and maximum 6.5m width of a collapse fracture.Along the rupture zone many secondary fractures and fault-bounded blocks are seen,exhibiting remarkable extension.The coseismic deformation affected a large area 100×100km2.D-InSAR analysis indicates that the interferometric deformation field is dominated by extensional faulting with a small strike-slip component.Along the causative fault,the western wall fell down and the eastern wall,that is the active unit,rose up,both with westerly vergence.Because of the big deformation gradients near the seismogenic fault,no interference fringes are seen on images,and what can be determined is a vertical displacement 70cm or more between the two fault walls.According to the epicenter and differential occurrence times from the National Earthquake Information Center,China Earthquake Network Center,Harvard and USGS,it is suggested that the seismic fault ruptured from north to south.SHAN Xinjian QU Chunyan WANG Chisheng ZHANG Guifang ZHANG Guohong SONG Xiaogang GUO Liming LIU Yunhua 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1:2

16Spatial variability of soil resistivity and rational sampling for corrosion assessment of carbon steel in Daqing area显示文摘Soil resistivity is one of the key indicators of the corrosive classification assessment on metal materials in soil environment. This paper presents variance characters of various quantity of soil resistivity samples data based on the semi-variance function methods of Geo-statistical Analysis by analyzing the regional soil resistivity sampling data in Daqing area. Furthermore, the variance of the soil resistivity as well as entire soil circumstance due to different sampling amounts are also analyzed and compared by means of using the characteristic parameters of the semi-variance function. 20Specific generation of nitric oxide in mitochondria of cancer cell for selective oncotherapy显示文摘Nitric oxide(NO)gas therapy,especially,L-arginine(L-Arg)-based NO treatment strategies have attracted extensive attention in the field of oncotherapy.However,current strategies are unable to differentiate well between normal cells and cancer cells,which may lead to unpredictable toxicity.Motivated by the fact that mitochondria of cancer cells can express excessive nitric oxide synthetase(NOS),herein,a nanozyme-based NO generator,cerium oxide(CeO_(2))-AT,is fabricated to specifically catalyze the production of NO in cancer cells for selective tumor treatment.In this system,after being endocytosed into cancer cells,the generator can produce a number of NO under the catalysis of NOS in mitochondria of cancer cells,which can disrupt the mitochondrial respiratory chain of tumor cells and further induce cell apoptosis.In addition,the generator with catalase(CAT)-like activity can catalyze H_(2)O_(2)to produce O_(2),which can promote the generation of NO and improve the performance of NO gas therapy.What is more,our system has no obvious impact on the viability of normal cells owing to the less production of NO.Our work paves a new way for the development of highly selective NO-based treatment particularly useful for the safe and specific cancer therapy.Mengyu Sun Yanjuan Sang Qingqing Deng Zhengwei Liu Jinsong Ren Xiaogang Qu 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1
