摘　　要：Examination of whether an invention is a patentable subject matter or not is one of the main parts of the patent examination. In the recently revised Guidelines for Examination a relatively major change has been made of the benchmark for the examination of inventions relating to 'rules and methods for mental activities', for example, limiting the scope of application of Article 25.1 (2) of the Patent Law.
