Political, economic and social transformations at the global level, and changes in patterns of international relations will require short-and mid-term strategic readjustments by the major powers. Competition and cooperation between the major powers are tending to become more complicated and unpredictable. International security cooperation is becoming more comprehensive and complex. Power restructuring in the Asia-Pacific region is now attracting particular attention.
