2High-temperature oxidation behavior of modified 4Al alumina-forming austenitic steel: Effect of cold rolling显示文摘The oxidation behavior and mechanism of as-received and 30 % cold-rolled alumina-forming austenitic(AFA) steel were investigated in dry air at 700℃.The results show that the mass gain per unit area curves of as-received and 30 % cold-rolled steels subject to near-parabolic law before 100 h oxidation time.Two samples both show higher high-temperature oxidation resistance due to the formation of dense Al_(2)O_(3) oxide scale.Gradual spallation of outer scale results in the formation of continuous and dense alumina scale.Dislocations can act as short-circuit diffusion channel for the diffusion of Al from alloy matrix to surface,and also provide nucleation sites for B2-NiAl phase,which ensure the continuous formation of Al_(2)O_(3) scale.Qiuzhi Gao Ziyun Liu Huijun Li Hailian Zhang Chenchen Jiang Aimin Hao Fu Qu Xiaoping Lin 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,9:5

4Enhancing Genetic Gain through Genomic Selection: From Livestock to Plants显示文摘Although long-term genetic gain has been achieved through increasing use of modern breeding methods and technologies,the rate of genetic gain needs to be accelerated to meet humanity’s demand for agricultural products.In this regard,genomic selection(GS)has been considered most promising for genetic improvement of the complex traits controlled by many genes each with minor effects.Livestock scientists pioneered GS application largely due to livestock’s significantly higher individual values and the greater reduction in generation interval that can be achieved in GS.Large-scale application of GS in plants can be achieved by refining field management to improve heritability estimation and prediction accuracy and developing optimum GS models with the consideration of genotype-by-environment interaction and non-additive effects,along with significant cost reduction.Moreover,it would be more effective to integrate GS with other breeding tools and platforms for accelerating the breeding process and thereby further enhancing genetic gain.In addition,establishing an open-source breeding network and developing transdisciplinary approaches would be essential in enhancing breeding efficiency for small-and medium-sized enterprises and agricultural research systems in developing countries.New strategies centered on GS for enhancing genetic gain need to be developed.Yunbi Xu Xiaogang Liu Junjie Fu Hongwu Wang Jiankang Wang Changling Huang Boddupalli MPrasanna Michael SOlsen Guoying Wang Aimin Zhang 2020Plant Communications2020,1,1:4
5Fe-based metallic glass:An efficient and energy-saving electrode material for electrocatalytic degradation of water contaminants显示文摘Excessive consumption of electrical energy has hampered the widespread application of electrochemical technology for degradation of various contaminants. In this paper, a Fe-based metallic glass(MG) was demonstrated as a new type of electrocatalyst to effectively and economically degrade an azo dye. In comparison to other typical electrodes, Fe-based MG electrodes exhibit a minimized degradation time, and the specific energy is 4-6 orders of magnitude lower than that of dimensionally stable anode(DSA), metal-like boron-doped diamond(BDD) and other electrodes. As sacrificial electrode materials, Fe-based MGs have less specific electrode mass consumption than iron electrodes. 6Correlation Between Dynamic Compressive Strength and Fracture Behaviors of Bulk Metallic Glasses显示文摘The mechanical behaviors of Zr43.5Cu43.5Ni4Al8Nb1,Zr55.4Cu31.6Ni4Al8Nb1,Ti32.8Zr30.2Ni5.3Cu9Be22.7(at.%)metallic glass at different strain rates were studied.For all the present alloys,the dispersion over 700 MPa was observed on the strength in the repeated dynamic compressions,which was much stronger than that of the quasi-static compressive strength.Such the dispersion of the dynamic compressive strength was well correlated with the corresponding fracture behaviors.The area of fracture surface was calculated and also showed a strong dispersion for all the fractured specimens tested at the strain rate of 500 s^-1 and 1000 s^-1.All the specimens showed a linear relationship between the square of dynamic compressive strength and the area of fracture surface in the dynamic compression tests.This phenomenon was mainly thought to be related to the difference of mean initial free volume concentration of different samples,stress concentration caused by the split Hopkinson pressure bar experimental setup and high sensitivity of defects under dynamic deformation.These findings were beneficial to deeply understand the effect of strain rate on the mechanical properties of the metallic glass.Wenqing Li Zhengwang Zhu Guojie Li Long Zhang Zhengkun Li Huameng Fu Hongwei Zhang Hong Li Aimin Wang Haifeng Zhang 2020Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2020,33,10:2
7Mechanism and kinetics of treatment of acid orange II by aged Fe-Si-B metallic glass powders显示文摘The mechanism and kinetics of acid orange II(AOII) treated by aged gas-atomized Fe-Si-B metallic glass(MG) powders were investigated in this study. The decolorization reaction is shown to obey the pseudofirst-order kinetic model, and the treatment processes could be divided into two stages: a slow step followed by a rapid one. This observation is in accordance with the following results, the azo dye is simply adsorbed onto the Fe-based MG powders in the initial stage, because the oxide layer coated on the powder surface depresses the degradation reaction by covering the activity sites, and then the degradation occurs with the desquamation of the powders. The AOII could be degraded with a rapid reaction rate when the Fe-based MG powders are applied to the treatment process again, because of the consumption of the oxide layer and the unchanged core of the Fe-based MGs. 8Corrosion mechanisms of Zr-based bulk metallic glass in NaF and NaCl solutions显示文摘So far,some investigations related to the corrosion mechanism of Zr-based metallic glasses in solutions containing Cl-have been developed.However,few attentions have been paid to the situation in F--containing solution.This paper describes the corrosion behaviours of Zr52Al10Ni6Cu32 bulk metallic glass(BMG)in Na F and Na Cl aqueous solutions.The corrosion mechanism of Zr-based BMG in F–containing solution was proposed for the first time.It was found that in Na Cl solutions,Zr-based BMG samples underwent typical pitting corrosion.Selective dissolution of Zr,Al and enrichment of Cu were observed in corrosion pits.However,corrosion occurred in the form of general breakdown of passive film in Na F solutions.Such difference is interpreted in terms of the binding ability of anions to surrounding molecules,i.e.,Cl-with loose surrounding water passes through the passive film to cause pitting;F-with a tight surrounding molecules layer absorbs on passive film then coordinates with cations from matrix.Zhangweijia Qiu Zhengkun Li Huameng Fu Hongwei Zhang Zhengwang Zhu Aimin Wang Hong Li Long Zhang Haifeng Zhang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11:1

10Pressure gradient evolution in the near-Earth magnetotail at the arrival of BBFs显示文摘Using in situ observations from THEMIS A, D and E during the 2008–2011 tail season, we present a statistical study of the evolution of pressure gradients in the near-Earth tail during bursty bulk flow(BBF) convection.We identified 138 substorm BBFs and 2,197 non-substorm BBFs for this study. We found that both the pressure and the BZcomponent of the magnetic field were enhanced at the arrival of BBFs at the spacecraft locations. We suggest that the increase of BZduring non-substorm BBFs is associated with flux pile-up. However, the much stronger enhancement of BZduring substorm BBFs implies the occurrence of magnetic field dipolarization which is caused by both the flux pile-up process and near-Earth current disruption. Furthermore, a bow-wave-like high pressure appears to be formed at the arrival of substorm BBFs,which is responsible for the formation of region-1-sense FACs. The azimuthal pressure gradient associated with the arrival of substorm BBFs lasts for about 5 min. The enhanced pressure gradient associated with the bow waveis caused by the braking and diversion of the Earthward flow in the inner plasma sheet. 13Designing new work-hardenable ductile Ti-based multilayered bulk metallic glass composites with ex-situ and in-situ hybrid strategy显示文摘To overcome the trade-off between the devisable micro structure and the excellent tensile ductility of bulk metallic glass composites(BMGCs),a novel ex-situ and in-situ hybrid strategy is successfully proposed to design a series of the work-hardenable ductile Ti-based multilayered BMGCs(ML-BMGCs).The asprepared ML-BMGCs,consisting of α-phases,β-phases and amorphous phases,exhibit a controllable multilayered structure of the Ti layers and the amorphous layers with alternative distribution.The size and volume fraction of the crystalline phases are tuned by Nb microalloying.It is found that the ML-BMGCs possess a suitable size and volume fraction of the crystalline phases when Nb microalloying content are5%(at.) or 8%(at.),and they obtain an optimum combination of the specific strength of 243 MPa g kg-1 or 216 MPa g kg-1,and tensile plasticity of 4.33%±0.1 % or 5.10%±0.1%.The deformation mechanism of the as-prepared ML-BMGCs during tension is also revealed.The ex-situ Ti layers and in-situ dendrites together effectively serve as absorbers to suppress the propagation of shear bands and multiply shear bands.And the defo rmation of ex-situ α-Ti phases by dislocation slip and the transformation from in-situ metastable β-Ti phase to orthorhombic α-Ti during tension impart significant work-hardening capability to the ML-B MGCs.The present study provides a guidance of developing novel high-performance BMGCs with a controllable micro structure.Shifeng Lin Zhengwang Zhu Shaofan Ge Long Zhang Dingming Liu Yanxin Zhuang Huameng Fu Hong Li Aimin Wang Haifeng Zhang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15:1
14High-temperature Mechanical Properties and Dynamic Recrystallization Mechanism of in situ Silicide-reinforced MoNbTaTiVSi Refractory High-entropy Alloy Composite显示文摘The hypoeutectic composite material composed of BCC phase and in situ precipitated Ti_(5)Si_(3) was prepared by adding Si into MoNbTaTiV high-entropy alloy.The obvious oriented in situ Ti_(5)Si_(3) phase formed eutectic phase with BCC phase in the inter-dendritic area,which leads to excellent properties of the composite.The alloy exhibits ultra-high yield stress of 718 MPa at 1200℃ and obvious compression plasticity.After reaching the maximum strength,dynamic recovery(DRV)and dynamic recrystallization(DRX)caused soften phenomena.The DRX mechanism of the dual-phase eutectic structure is analyzed by electron backscatter diffraction.The DRX of the BCC phase conforms to the discontinuous DRX and continuous DRX mechanisms,while the Ti_(5)Si_(3) phase has a geometric DRX mechanism in addition to the above two mechanisms.The high performance of this composite has enough potential high-temperature applications such as nuclear and aero engine.Shaofan Ge Shifeng Lin Huameng Fu Long Zhang Tieqiang Geng Zhengwang Zhu Zhengkun Li Hong Li Aimin Wang Hongwei Zhang Haifeng Zhang 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10:1
15Simultaneous enhancement of strength and ductility of body-centered cubic TiZrNb multi-principal element alloys via boron-doping显示文摘Body-centered cubic(BCC)multi-principal element alloys(MPEAs)have intrinsic high strength but poor ductility,which greatly limits their potential applications.Here we present the boron-doping strategy to enhance the strength and ductility of TiZrNb MPEAs simultaneously.The yield strength and ductility of the TiZrNb MPEA with boron addition of 500 ppm are increased by 19.0%and 48.7%compared to the boron-free TiZrNb MPEA,respectively.Boron-doping induced high efficiency in grain refinement from~96.0μm to~16.2μm is the main factor for strengthening.Dislocation dominated deformation mechanism involving cross slip and dislocation pining in the TiZrNb containing 500 ppm boron serves to enhance the strain-hardening capacity,resultant the enhancement of ductility from 7.8%to 11.6%.While the planar slip of dislocations is the dominated deformation mechanism for the boron-free TiZrNb.Jingyu Pang Hongwei Zhang Long Zhang Zhengwang Zhu Huameng Fu Hong Li Aimin Wang Zhengkun Li Haifeng Zhang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,19:0
16Enzyme-catalyzed deposition of polydopamine for amplifying the signal inhibition to a novel Prussian blue-nanocomposite and ultrasensitive electrochemical immunosensing显示文摘The uncontrollable synthesis of Prussian blue (PB) and its weak stability toward OH -are great challenges affecting its electrochemical biosensing application. Herein we utilize the unique properties of chitosan (CS) to realize the facile and controllable synthesis of a CS-PB nanocomposite and combine it with the urease-catalyzed deposition of polydopamine (PDA) for amplifying the electrochemical signal inhibition of PB to develop a novel immunosensing method for protein detection. The immunosensor was constructed on a CS-PB modified electrode, and a urease-functionalized silica nanoprobe was prepared for tracing its sandwich immunoassay toward the model analyte of carcinoembryonic antigen. Besides the electrochem- ical impedance effect of the quantitatively captured nanoprobes, their enzymatic reaction can release numerous OH -to destroy the PB crystals and also induce the PDA deposition onto the immunosensor. These caused drastic electrochemical signal inhibition to PB. Based on the above multi-signal amplification mechanism, the method exhibits a very low detection limit of 0.042 pg mL^(-1) along with a very wide linear range of six-order of magnitude. In addition, the CS-PB based immunosensor has excellent specificity, repeatability, stability and reliability. 17Wettability and Interfacial Reactions Between Metallic Glass Melts and Cu/Mo Used as Roller Materials for Twin-Roll Casting显示文摘Twin-roll casting has been recently revealed to be an effi cient technique to produce rejuvenated metallic glass(MG)strips.Due to the high melting point and high hardness,pure Mo is considered as a good roller material as pure Cu.However,the wettability and interfacial reactions between MG melts and Cu or Mo remain largely unknown.In this work,a series of sessile droplet wetting experiments are designed to investigate the wettability and reactions between Zr_(41.2)Ti_(13.8)Cu_(12.5)Ni_(10)Be_(22.5)(Vit.1)or(Zr 0.401 Ti_(0.133)Cu_(0.118)Ni_(0.101)Be_(0.247))_(99)Nb_(1)(Nb1)MG melts and Cu/Mo substrates at temperatures of 1073,1123 and 1173 K.It is found that the wettability and interfacial reactions of the Vit.1 and Nb1 MG melts on the Cu substrates are very similar.The equilibrium contact angles are~30°at 1073 K and~25°-27°at 1123 K.The MG melts completely spread out on the Cu substrates at 1173 K.Cu substrates are slightly dissolved in the MG melts event at 1073 K,and a transitional reaction layer exists between the droplet and the Cu substrate.In comparison,the Vit.1 MG melt exhibits a much improved wettability on the Mo substrate.The equilibrium contact angle of the Vit.1/Mo is only 6°at 1073 K and 5°at 1123 K.No signifi cant diff usion of Mo into the droplet occurs even at 1173 K with a holding time of~30 min.The interfaces of the Vit.1/Mo samples are sharp,and no interfacial reaction layers form.These fi ndings indicate that pure Mo can be a good roller material for twin-roll casting at high temperatures,and the Mo-made rollers are expected of capability to produce MG strips with good quality.Yi Wu Long Zhang Hongwei Zhang Huameng Fu Zhengwang Zhu Hong Li Aimin Wang Haifeng Zhang 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,7:0
18Electrochemical Identification of Yulania spp. by Fingerprinting of Leaves Using Glassy Carbon Electrode显示文摘In this communication,we used electrochemical sensor for recording the electrochemical profiles of eleven species of Yulania spp.from leaf extract.Two solvents and two buffer conditions were used for electrochemical fingerprints collection.Their electrochemical fingerprints can be converted to different patterns and consequently for species recognition.The results indicate the pattern recognition is much convenient than that of the recognition of species directly using voltammetric signal.The current information in electrochemical fingerprinting represents the type and amount of electrochemically active molecules,which linked to the genetic differences among the plants.Therefore,the electrochemical fingerprints were applied for further phylogenetic study.The phylogenetic tree deduced from voltametric curves is divided into three main groups.The first clade contains Y.denudate,Liriodendron chinense,Y.cylindrica,Y.biondii,Y.sprengeri.The second clade contains Y.zenii,Y.liliiflora,Y.kobus,and Y.amoena.The third clade contains Y.×soulangeana,Manglietia fordiana and Y.sinostellata.In addition,Y.salicifolia is not in these main clades.The results demonstrate that electrochemical fingerprinting can be used as a com-plementary tool in the study of phylogenetics.Zhiguo Lu Yuhong Zheng Pengchong Zhang Boyuan Fan Aimin Yu Li Fu 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,11:0
