1Adjuvant treatment for triple-negative breast cancer: a retrospective study of immunotherapy with autologous cytokine-induced killer cells in 294 patients显示文摘Objective: To examine the efficacy and safety of a sequential combination of chemotherapy and autologous cytokine-induced killer(CIK) cell treatment in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) patients.Methods: A total of 294 post-surgery TNBC patients participated in the research from January 1, 2009 to January 1, 2015. After adjuvant chemotherapy, autologous CIK cells were introduced in 147 cases(CIK group), while adjuvant chemotherapy alone was used to treat the remaining 147 cases(control group). The major endpoints of the investigation were the disease-free survival(DFS) and overall survival(OS). Additionally, the side effects of the treatment were evaluated.Results: In the CIK group, the DFS and OS intervals of the patients were significantly longer than those of the control group(DFS:P = 0.047;OS: P = 0.007). The multivariate analysis demonstrated that the TNM(tumor-node-metastasis) stage and adjuvant CIK treatment were independent prognostic factors for both DFS [hazard ratio(HR)= 0.520, 95% confidence interval(CI):0.271-0.998, P = 0.049;HR = 1.449, 95% CI:1.118-1.877, P = 0.005, respectively] and OS(HR=0.414, 95% CI:0.190-0.903, P = 0.027;HR= 1.581, 95% CI:1.204-2.077, P = 0.001, respectively) in patients with TNBC. Additionally, longer DFS and OS intervals were associated with increased number of CIK treatment cycles(DFS: P = 0.020;OS: P = 0.040). 2In-situ surface decoration of RuO_(2) nanoparticles by laser ablation for improved oxygen evolution reaction activity in both acid and alkali solutions显示文摘Improving the OER activity of noble metal-based materials is of profound importance to minimize the usage of noble metals and lower the cost.Here,we report considerable improvement on the catalytic activity of RuO_(2) particles for OER in both alkali and acid environments.The RuO_(2) nanoparticles were treated with a method of pulse laser ablation.Numerous Ru and RuO_(2) clusters were generated at the surface of RuO_(2) nanoparticles after the laser ablation,forming a lychee-shaped morphology.The larger pulse energy RuO_(2) nanoparticles are treated with,the better the OER activity can be.DFT calculations shows that the surface tension induced by the lychee-shaped morphology benefits the OER performance.Our best sample gives an overpotential of 172 mV(at 10 mA cm^(-2))and a Tafel slope of 53.5 mV dec^(-1) in KOH,while an overpotential of 219 mV and a Tafel slope of 44.9 mV dec^(-1) in H_(2)SO_(4),which are of topclass results.This work may inspire a new way to develop high-performance electrocatalysts for OER.Zongpeng Wang Beibei Xiao Zhiping Lin Shijie Shen Aijiao Xu Zexin Du Yuchao Chen Wenwu Zhong 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:4

Ligands with large steric hindrance and strong electron-donating capacity were beneficial to the reaction. 6Construction of Photoresponsive 3D Structures Based on Triphenylethylene Photochromic Building Blocks显示文摘Photoresponsive materials have been widely used in sensing,bioimaging,molecular switches,information storage,and encryption nowadays.Although a large amount of photoresponsive materials have been reported,the construction of these smart materials into precisely prescribed complex 3D geometries is rarely studied.Here we designed a novel photoresponsive material methyl methacrylate containing triphenylethylene(TrPEF_(2)-MA)that can be directly used for digital light processing(DLP)3D printing.Based on TrPEF_(2)-MA,a series of photoresponsive 3D structures with reversible color switching under ultraviolet/visible light irradiations were fabricated.These complex photoresponsive 3D structures show high resolutions(50μm),excellent repeatability(25 cycles without fatigue),and tunable saturate color degrees.Multicomponent DLP 3D printing processes were also carried out to demonstrate their great properties in information hiding and information-carrying properties.This design strategy for constructing photoresponsive 3D structures is attractive in the area of adaptive camouflage,information hiding,information storage,and flexible electronics.Xiayu Zhang Fukang Liu Beibei Du Rongjuan Huang Simin Zhang Yunfei He Hailan Wang Jingjing Cui Biao Zhang Tao Yu Wei Huang 2022Research2022,,4:1

8Genotypes Diversity of Acute Gastroenteritis Outbreaks Caused by Human Sapovirus-Beijing Municipality,China,2015-2021显示文摘Introduction:Human sapovirus(HuSaV)is an enteric virus responsible for sporadic cases and outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis(AGE)globally.A seven-year active surveillance study was conducted to investigate the molecular epidemiology of HuSaVs associated with AGE outbreaks in Chaoyang District of Beijing Municipality,China from January 2015 to December 2021.Methods:Fecal and anal swab samples were obtained from patients experiencing AGE outbreaks.HuSaVs were identified through reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),and partial viral protein 1(VP1)sequences(approximately 434 base pairs)were utilized for genotyping,single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)analysis,and phylogenetic examination.Results:HuSaVs were identified in 71 AGE outbreaks,demonstrating a detection rate of 10.5%,second only to norovirus.The primary demographic affected by HuSaV were children under the age of 5 in kindergarten settings.Infection rates tended to peak during two distinct periods:May to June and September to December.Upon genotyping,seven distinct genotypes emerged.GII.3 was the most prevalent,accounting for 54.9%of cases,followed by GI.1(12.7%),GI.2(9.9%),GII.5(7.0%),GI.5(2.8%),GI.6(1.4%),GII.1(1.4%),and untyped cases(9.9%).A phylogenetic analysis of GII.3 identified three distinct groups,with 15 notable SNPs observed.Conclusions:This study offers a comprehensive analysis of the persistent prevalence of HuSaV outbreaks in Chaoyang District,Beijing Municipality,China.Over time,the diversity of HuSaV subtypes has shifted,and it is now recognized as the second leading viral agent responsible for AGE outbreaks.This highlights the importance of ongoing surveillance in the future.Yang Jiao Taoli Han Xiao Qi Yan Gao Jianhong Zhao Yue Zhang Beibei Li Zheng Zhang Jialiang Du Lingli Sun 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,28:1

11An extended analysis of cardiovascular benefits of indoor air filtration intervention among elderly:a randomized crossover trial(Beijing indoor air purifier study,BIAPSY)显示文摘Objective Evidence on potential cardiovascular benefits of personal-level intervention among the elderly exposed to high levels of particulate matter(PM)remains limited.We aimed to assess improvements in surrogate markers of cardiovascular injury in vulnerable populations at risks by using indoor air filtration units.Methods We conducted a randomized crossover trial for 2 separate 2-week air filtration interventions in 20 households of patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and their partners in the winter of 2013,with concurrent measurements of indoor PM.The changes in biomarkers indicative of cardiac injury,atherosclerosis progression and systemic inflammation following intervention were evaluated using linear mixed-effect models.Results In the analysis,average levels of indoor PM with aerodynamic diameters<2.5µm(PM2.5)decreased significantly by 59.2%(from 59.6 to 24.3µg/m3,P<0.001)during the active air filtration.The reduction was accompanied by improvements in levels of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I by−84.6%(95%confidence interval[CI]:−90.7 to−78.6),growth differentiation factor-15 by−48.1%(95%CI:−31.2 to−25.6),osteoprotegerin by−65.4%(95%CI:−56.5 to−18.7),interleukin-4 by−46.6%(95%CI:−62.3 to−31.0)and myeloperoxidase by−60.3%(95%CI:−83.7 to−3.0),respectively.Conclusion Indoor air filtration intervention may provide potential cardiovascular benefits in vulnerable populations at risks.Jie Chen Tong Wang Hongbing Xu Yutong Zhu Yipeng Du Beibei Liu Qian Zhao Yi Zhang Lingyan Liu Ningman Yuan Jiakun Fang Yunfei Xie Shuo Liu Rongshan Wu Danqing Shao Xiaoming Song Bei He Bert Brunekreef Wei Huang 2022Global Health Journal2022,6,1:0

16Nutritional Metabolism of Antarctic Krill Product Protein in Rats显示文摘This work conducted a four-week metabolism test on rats to study the digestion and absorption characteristics of five protein-based krill products prepared from Antarctic krill as raw material.It aimed to provide theoretical support for the effective use of Antarctic krill protein and the development of novel protein resources.The results showed that the weight gain and true digestibility of the rats fed with krill meat,surimi and ordinary krill powder were significantly higher(P<0.05)than those of the rats fed with traditional casein.Compared to casein,proteins from the five Antarctic krill products were found to significantly improve the net protein utilization(P<0.05),and reduce the total cholesterol and triglycerides in the serum of rats(P<0.05).In summary,the Antarctic krill protein-based products with high nutritional values can be used as a potential novel protein resource in the food industry.DU Xin XU Beibei WEN Yunqi BI Shijie XUE Changhu JIANG Xiaoming 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,3:0
