| 3 | Simulation research on a minimum root-mean-square error rotation-fitting algorithm for gravity matching navigation显示文摘Gravity/inertial combination navigation is a leading issue in realizing passive navigation onboard a submarine. A new rotation-fitting gravity matching algorithm, based on the Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) algorithm, is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is based on the principle of least mean-square-error criterion, and searches for a certain matched trajectory that runs parallel to a trace indicated by an inertial navigation system on a gravity base map. A rotation is then made clockwise or counterclockwise through a certain angle around the matched trajectory to look for an optimal matched trajectory within a certain angle span range, and through weighted fitting with another eight suboptimal matched trajectories, the endpoint of the fitted trajectory is considered the optimal matched position. In analysis of the algorithm reliability and matching error, the results from simulation indicate that the optimal position can be obtained effectively in real time, and the positioning accuracy improves by 35% and up to 1.05 nautical miles using the proposed algorithm compared with using the widely employed TERCOM and SITAN methods. | 5 | Vertical Distribution of Soil Carbon, Nitrogen, and Phosphorus in Typical Chinese Terrestrial Ecosystems显示文摘Characterization of the vertical distribution of soil organic carbon(C), nitrogen(N), and phosphorus(P) may improve our ability to accurately estimate soil C, N, and P storage. Based on a database of 21 354 records in 74 long-term monitoring plots from 2004 to 2013 in the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network(CERN), we built fitting functions to quantify the vertical distribution of soil C, N, and P(up to 100 cm depth) in the typical Chinese terrestrial ecosystems. The decrease of soil C, N, and P content with depth can be well fitted with various mathematical functions. The fitting functions differed greatly between artificial(agriculture) and natural(desert, forest, and grassland) ecosystems, and also differed with respect to soil C, N, and P content. In both the artificial and natural ecosystems, the best fitting functions were exponential functions for C, quadratic functions for N, and quadratic functions for P. Furthermore, the stoichiometric ratios of soil C, N, and P were ranked in descending order: grassland > forest > agriculture > desert, and were also associated with climate. This study is the first to build the fitting functions for the profile distribution of soil C, N, and P in China at a national scale. | 7 | Lingbao Huxin Pill Alleviates Apoptosis and Inflammation at Infarct Border Zone through SIRT1-Mediated FOXO1 and NF-κB Pathways in Rat Model of Acute Myocardial Infarction显示文摘Objective To investigate whether Lingbao Huxin Pill(LBHX)protects against acute myocardial infarction(AMI)at the infarct border zone(IBZ)of myocardial tissue by regulating apoptosis and inflammation through the sirtuin 1(SIRT1)-mediated forkhead box protein O1(FOXO1)and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)signaling pathways.Methods Six-week-old Wistar rats with normal diet were randomized into the sham,the model,Betaloc(0.9 mg/kg daily),LBHX-L(0.45 mg/kg daily),LBHX-M(0.9 mg/kg daily),LBHX-H(1.8 mg/kg daily),and LBHX+EX527(0.9 mg/kg daily)groups according to the method of random number table,13 in each group.In this study,left anterior descending coronary artery(LADCA)ligation was performed to induce an AMI model in rats.The myocardial infarction area was examined using a 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride solution staining assay.A TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL)assay was conducted to assess cardiomyocyte apoptosis in the IBZ.The histopathology of myocardial tissue at the IBZ was assessed with Heidenhain,Masson and hematoxylineosin(HE)staining assays.The expression levels of tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α),interleukin(IL)-6,IL-1β,and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs).The mRNA expressions of SIRT1 and FOXO1 were detected by real-time qPCR(RT-qPCR).The protein expressions of SIRT1,FOXO1,SOD2,BAX and NF-κB p65 were detected by Western blot analysis.Results The ligation of the LADCA successfully induced an AMI model.The LBHX pretreatment reduced the infarct size in the AMI rats(P<0.01).The TUNEL assay revealed that LBHX inhibited cardiomyocyte apoptosis at the IBZ.Further,the histological examination showed that the LBHX pretreatment decreased the ischemic area of myocardial tissue(P<0.05),myocardial interstitial collagen deposition(P<0.05)and inflammation at the IBZ.The ELISA results indicated that LBHX decreased the serum levels of inflammatory cytokines in the AMI rats(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Furthermore,Western blot analysis revealed that the LBHX pretreatment upregulated the protein levels of SIRT1,FOXO1 and SOD2(P<0.05)and downregulated NF-κB p65 and BAX expressions(P<0.05).The RT-qPCR results showed that LBHX increased the SIRT1 mRNA and FOXO1 mRNA levels(P<0.05).These protective effects,including inhibiting apoptosis and alleviating inflammation in the IBZ,were partially abolished by EX527,an inhibitor of SIRT1.Conclusion LBHX could protect against AMI by suppressing apoptosis and inflammation in AMI rats and the SIRT1-mediated FOXO1 and NF-κB signaling pathways were involved in the cardioprotection effect of LBHX. | TAN Yu BIE Yu-long CHEN Li ZHAO Yi-han SONG Lei MIAO Li-na YU Yan-qiao CHAI Hua MA Xiao-juan SHI Da-zhuo | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2022,28,4: | 6 |
| 8 | Combined community ecology and floristics,a synthetic study on the upper montane evergreen broad-leaved forests in Yunnan,southwestern China显示文摘The upper montane evergreen broad-leaved forest in Yunnan occurs mainly in the zone of persistent cloud and has a discontinuous,island-like,distribution.It is diverse,rich in endemic species,and likely to be sensitive to climate change.Six 1-ha sampling plots were established across the main distribution area of the upper montane evergreen broad-leaved forest in Yunnan.All trees with d.b.h.>1 cm in each plot were identified.Patterns of seed plant distributions were quantified at the specific,generic and family levels.The forests are dominated by the families Fagaceae,Lauraceae,Theaceae and Magnoliaceae,but are very diverse with only a few species shared between sites.Floristic similarities at the family and generic level were high,but they were low at the specific level,with species complementarity between plots.Diversity varied greatly among sites,with greater species richness and more rare species in western Yunnan than central Yunnan.The flora is dominated by tropical biogeographical elements,mainly the pantropic and the tropical Asian distributions at the family and genus levels.In contrast,at the species level,the flora is dominated by the southwest or the southeast China distributions,including Yunnan endemics.This suggests that the flora of the upper montane forest in Yunnan could have a tropical floristic origin,and has adapted to cooler temperatures with the uplift of the Himalayas.Due to great sensitivity to climate,high endemism and species complementarity,as well as the discontinuous,island-like,distribution patterns of the upper montane forest in Yunnan,the regional conservation of the forest is especially needed. | Hua Zhu Yong Chai Shisun Zhou Lichun Yan Jipu Shi Guoping Yang | 2016 | Plant Diversity2016,38,6: | 6 |
| 9 | Plasma αl-antitrypsin: A Neglected Predictor of Angiographic Severity in Patients with Stable Angina Pectoris显示文摘Background: As an acute phase protein, ct I-antitrypsin (AAT) has been extensively studied in acute coronary syndrome, but it is unclear whether a relationship exists between AAT and stable angina pectoris (SAP). The purpose of the present study was to investigate the association between AAT plasma levels and SAP. Methods: Overall, 103 SAP patients diagnosed by coronary angiography and clinical manifestations and 118 control subjects matched for age and gender were enrolled in this case-control study. Plasma levels of AAT, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), lipid profiles and other clinical parameters were assayed for all participants. The severity of coronary lesions was evaluated based on the Gensini score (GS) assessed by coronary angiography. Results: Positively correlated with the GS (r = 0.564, P 〈 0.001), the plasma AAT level in the SAP group was significantly higher than that in the control group (142.08 ± 19.61 mg/dl vs. 125.50 ± 19.67 mg/dl, P 〈 0.001). The plasma AAT level was an independent predictor tbr both SAP (odds ratio [OR] = 1.037, 95% confidence interval [C/]: 1.020-1.054, P 〈 0.001) and a high GS (OR = 1.087, 95% CI: 1.051-1.124, P 〈 0.001) in a multivariate logistic regression model. In the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, plasma AAT level was found to have a larger area under the curve (AUC) for predicting a high GS (AUC = 0.858, 95% CI: 0.788-0.929, P 〈 0.001 ) than that of hsCRP (AUC = 0.665, 95% CI: 0.557-0.773, P = 0.006; Z = 2.9363, P 〈 0.001), with an optimal cut-off value of 137.85 mg/dl (sensitivity: 94.3%, specificity: 68.2%). | 10 | Processing Environmental Stimuli in Paranoid Schizophrenia:Recognizing Facial Emotions and Performing Executive Functions显示文摘Objective To study the contribution of executive function to abnormal recognition of facial expressions of emotion in schizophrenia patients. Methods Abnormal recognition of facial expressions of emotion was assayed according to Japanese and Caucasian facial expressions of emotion (JACFEE), Wisconsin card sorting test (WCST), positive and negative symptom scale, and Hamilton anxiety and depression scale, respectively, in 88 paranoid schizophrenia patients and 75 healthy volunteers. Results Patients scored higher on the Positive and Negative Symptom Scale and the Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Scales, displayed lower JACFEE recognition accuracies and poorer WCST performances. The JACFEE recognition accuracy of contempt and disgust was negatively correlated with the negative symptom scale score while the recognition accuracy of fear was positively with the positive symptom scale score and the recognition accuracy of surprise was negatively with the general psychopathology score in patients. Moreover, the WCST could predict the JACFEE recognition accuracy of contempt, disgust, and sadness in patients, and the perseverative errors negatively predicted the recognition accuracy of sadness in healthy volunteers. The JACFEE recognition accuracy of sadness could predict the WCST categories in paranoid schizophrenia patients. | 12 | TRIM27 maintains gut homeostasis by promoting intestinal stem cell self-renewal显示文摘Dysregulation of gut homeostasis is associated with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS),a chronic functional gastrointestinal disorder affecting approximately 11.2%of the global population.The poorly understood pathogenesis of IBS has impeded its treatment.Here,we report that the E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif-containing 27(TRIM27)is weakly expressed in IBS but highly expressed in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),a frequent chronic organic gastrointestinal disorder.Accordingly,knockout of Trim27 in mice causes spontaneously occurring IBS-like symptoms,including increased visceral hyperalgesia and abnormal stool features,as observed in IBS patients.Mechanistically,TRIM27 stabilizesβ-catenin and thus activates Wnt/β-catenin signaling to promote intestinal stem cell(ISC)self-renewal.Consistent with these findings,Trim27 deficiency disrupts organoid formation,which is rescued by reintroducing TRIM27 orβ-catenin.Furthermore,Wnt/β-catenin signaling activator treatment ameliorates IBS symptoms by promoting ISC self-renewal.Taken together,these data indicate that TRIM27 is critical for maintaining gut homeostasis,suggesting that targeting the TRIM27/Wnt/β-catenin axis could be a potential treatment strategy for IBS.Our study also indicates that TRIM27 might serve as a potential biomarker for differentiating IBS from IBD. | Jing Wang Dongdong Zhao Zehui Lei Pupu Ge Zhe Lu Qiyao Chai Yong Zhang Lihua Qiang Yang Yu Xinwen Zhang Bingxi Li Shu Zhu Lingqiang Zhang Cui Hua Liu | 2023 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,2: | 2 |
