| 1 | Urban Three-dimensional Expansion and Its Driving Forces——A Case Study of Shanghai,China显示文摘Urban expansion is a phenomenon of urban space increase,and an important measuring index of the process of urbanization.Taking Shanghai as an example,the changes of urban average height and built-up area were studied to represent city's vertical and horizontal increases respectively,and statistical methods were used to analyze the driving forces of urban expansion.The research drew following conclusions:1) The urban expansion process of Shanghai from 1985 to 2006 had a clear periodic feature,and could be divided into three stages:vertical expansion in dominance,coordinated vertical and horizontal expansion,and horizontal expansion in dominance.2) The average height and quantity of buildings in core city were significantly bigger than those in suburbs,but the changing speed of the latter was faster.And 3) urbanization process was the major driving force for the city's horizontal expansion,while industrial structure improvement was the key driving factor for the vertical expansion.Those two driving forces were simultaneously affected by city's political factors. | SHI Longyu SHAO Guofan CUI Shenghui LI Xuanqi LIN Tao YIN Kai ZHAO Jingzhu | 2009 | Chinese Geographical Science2009,19,4: | 20 |
| 2 | High-precision Dating and Geological Significance of Chang 7 Tuff Zircon of the Triassic Yanchang Formation, Ordos Basin in Central China显示文摘The Ordos Basin, as the second largest petroliferous basin of China, contains abundant oil and gas resources, oil shale, and sandstone-type uranium mineral resources. Chang 7 shale is not only the major source rock of the Mesozoic petroliferous system of the Basin, but is also crucial in determining the space-time distribution relationship of the shale section for the effective exploration and development of the Basin's oil and gas resources. To obtain a highly precise age of the shale development section, we collected tuff samples from the top and bottom profile of the Chang 7 Member, Yishi Village, Yaoqu Town, Tongchuan District, on the southern margin of the Ordos Basin and performed high-precision chemical abrasion(CA)–isotope dilution(ID)–thermal ionization mass spectrometry(TIMS) zircon U-Pb dating on the basis of extensive laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS) zircon U-Pb dating data. Our results show the precise ages of the top and bottom zircon in the Chang 7 shale to be 241.06±0.12 Ma and 241.558±0.093 Ma, respectively. We first obtained Chang 7 age data with Grade 0.1-Ma precision and then determined the age of the shale development in the Chang 7 Member to be the early-Middle Triassic Ladinian. This result is supported by paleontological evidence. The deposition duration of the Chang 7 shale is 0.5 Ma with an average deposition rate of the shale section being 5.3 cm/ka. | 4 | A New Carbon and Oxygen Balance Model Based on Ecological Service of Urban Vegetation显示文摘The application of human induced oxygen consumption and carbon emission theory in urban region was summed up and on this base a new model of urban carbon and oxygen balance (UCOB) was constructed by calculating the carbon and oxygen fluxes. The purpose was to highlight the role of vegetation in urban ecosystems and evaluate the effects of various human activities on urban annual oxygen consumption and carbon emission. Hopefully,the model would be helpful in theory to keep the regional balance of carbon and oxygen,and provide guidance and support for urban vegetation planning in the future. To test the UCOB model,the Jimei District of Xiamen City,Fujian Province,China,a very typical urban region,was selected as a case study. The results turn out that Jimei′s vegetation service in oxygen emission and carbon sequestration could not meet the demand of the urban population,and more than 31.49 times of vegetation area should be added to meet the whole oxygen consumption in Jimei while 9.60 times of vegetation area are needed to meet the carbon sequestration targets. | 5 | Genomic Epidemiology of ST34 Monophasic Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium from Clinical Patients from 2008 to 2017 in Henan,China显示文摘Salmonella enterica serovar 4,[5],12:i:-(S.4,[5],12:i:-)is a monophasic variant of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium that has emerged as a global serovar causing public health concern.To date,the epidemiology and genomic characterization of this pathogen in China have not been well described.We investigated the prevalence,antimicrobial resistance(AMR)phenotypes,and population genomics of sequence type 34(ST34)S.4,[5],12:i:-among cases of human salmonellosis in Henan Province,China.A total of 100 ST34 S.4,[5],12:i:-isolates were studied from 2008 to 2017 and found mostly resistant to ampicillin(AMP),streptomycin(STR),sulfonamides(SUL),and tetracycline(TET)(ASSu T).Bayesian phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that isolates identified in China were mostly related to the European lineage and evolved into two major clades with different resistance genes and plasmid profiles.Notably,clade 1 showed a significantly higher rate of mutations in gyr A and plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance genes.The carrying of the resistance-containing region(encoding R-type ASSu T),including bla(conferring resistance to AMP),str AB(STR),sul2(SUL),and tet(B)(TET)inserted into the flj BA operon,was responsible for most of the monophasic variants in clade 2.Inc HI2 plasmids were the dominant multi-drug resistance mobile genetic elements accounting for the transmission of acquired resistance genes in this serovar,and these were more prevalent in clade 1.Our findings highlighted the increasing prevalence of multi-drug resistant S.4,[5],12:i:-in China,along with the differential characteristics of resistance gene acquisition among various lineages.Based on our data,control measures are required to address the spread of this zoonotic pathogen.Further owing to its potential origin in food-producing animals,a'One Health'approach,should be implemented to support surveillance whilst informing interventional strategies. | Yujiao Mu Ruichao Li Pengcheng Du Pei Zhang Yan Li Shenghui Cui Séamus Fanning Li Bai | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,8: | 2 |
| 6 | Subdivision and age of the Yanchang Formation and the Middle/Upper Triassic boundary in Ordos Basin, North China显示文摘The Yanchang Formation is extensively developed in the Ordos Basin and its surrounding regions. As one of the best terrestrial Triassic sequences in China and the major oil-gas bearing formations in the Ordos Basin, its age determination and stratigraphic assignment are important in geological survey and oil-gas exploration. It had been attributed to the Late Triassic and regarded as the typical representative of the Upper Triassic in northern China for a long time, although some scholars had already proposed that the lower part of this formation should be of the Middle Triassic age in the mid-late 20 th century. In this paper, we suggest that the lower and middle parts of the Yanchang Formation should be of the Ladinian and the bottom possibly belongs to the late Anisian of the Middle Triassic, mainly based on new fossils found in it and high resolution radiometric dating results. The main source rocks, namely the oil shales and mudstones of the Chang-7, are of the Ladinian Age. The upper part of the Yanchang Formation, namely the Chang-6 and the above parts, belongs to the Late Triassic. The uppermost of the Triassic is missed in most parts of the Ordos Basin. The Middle-Upper Triassic Series boundary lies in the Yanchang Formation, equivalent to the boundary between Chang-7 and Chang-6. The Ladinian is an important palaeoenvironmental turning point in the Ordos Basin. Palaeoenvironmental changes in the basin are coincidence with that of the Sichuan Basin and the main tectonic movement of the Qinling Mountains.
