2Design of hierarchical, three-dimensional free-standing single-atom electrode for H2O2 production in acidic media显示文摘Electrochemical reduction of molecular O2 to hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)offers a promising solution for water purification and environmental remediation.Here,we design a hierarchical free-standing single-Co-atom(with Co-N4 coordination)electrode for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)via a two-electron pathway to make H2O2 in acidic media.The current density of the single-Co-atom electrode reached 51 mA/cm2 at 0.1 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode,lasting for more than 10 hours of continuous operation with H2O2 selectivity greater than 80%.Toward practical application,the single-Co-atom electrode was directly used to assemble an electrochemical cell to produce H2O2 at a rate of 676 mol/kgcat/h with a cell voltage of about 1.6 V.Jincheng Zhang Hongbin Yang Jiajian Gao Shibo Xi Weizheng Cai Junming Zhang Ping Cui Bin Liu 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,2:6
3Phosphorus removal from sediments by Potamogeton crispus:New high-resolution in-situ evidence for rhizosphere assimilation and oxidization-induced retention显示文摘Macrophytes are usually chosen for phytoremediation tools to remove P in eutrophic aquatic ecosystems,but the lack of test methods hinders the understanding of removal mechanism and application.In this study,we used the novel technologies combined of Diffusive gradients in thin films(DGT),Planar optode(PO),and Non-invasive micro-test technology(NMT)to explore P dynamics in water-sediment continuum and rhizosphere of Potamogeton crispus over time.Results of the high-resolution in situ measurement showed that labile P(LPDGT)fluxes at the surficial sediment significantly decreased from approximate 120,140,and 200 pg/(cm^(2)·sec)via 30 days incubation period to 17,40,and 56 pg/(cm2•sec)via that of 15 days.Obvious synchronous increase of LPDGT was not detected in overlying water,suggesting the intense assimilation of dissolve reactive P via root over time.PO measurement indicated that O_(2)concentration around the rhizosphere remarkably increased and radially diffused into deeper sediment until 100%saturation along with the root stretch downwards.NMT detection of roots showed the obvious O_(2)inflow into root tissue with the uppermost flux of 30 pmol/(cm2•sec)from surroundings via aerenchyma on different treatment conditions.Different from previous reports,gradually saturating O_(2)concentrations around the rhizosphere was principally driven by O_(2)penetration through interspace attributing to root stretch downward rather than root O_(2)leakage.Increased O_(2)concentrations in deep sediment over time finally induced the oxidization of labile Fe(II)into Fe(III)bound P and local P immobilization.Hezhong Yuan Yiwei Cai Zhen Yang Qiang Li Enfeng Liu Hongbin Yin 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,11:2

7Characteristics of Uranium Mineralization in Red Clastic Formations in the Southwestern Margin of the Ordos Basin显示文摘In the southwestern margin of the Ordos Basin,uranium mineralization is primarily hosted by predominantly oxidative red clastic formations in the Lower Cretaceous.The main target layers for uranium exploration are the Madongshan and Liwaxia formations of the Liupanshan Group,followed by the Jingchuan Formation of the Zhidan Group.The host rocks(medium-fine feldspar quartz sandstone),which are bleached to a light grayish white color,contain a minor organic matter component and pyrite.Uranium mineralization changes from surficial infiltration or phreatic oxidation in the upper part to interlayer oxidation in the lower part.Uranium ore bodies are mostly lenticular or tabular in shape,locally shaped like crescent rolls.Individual ore bodies are typically small and shallow.Uranium predominantly manifests as pitchblende and coffinite.Coffinite is usually short and columnar or granular in habit,whereas pitchblende occurs as an irregular colloidal covering on the surface or in fissures of ferric oxide,silicate,clay or carbonate.Secondary uranium minerals are torbernite,uranophane,and uranopilite.Minerals associated with uranium are mainly pyrite,chalcopyrite and,to a minor extent,arsenopyrite and fluorite.The associated elements are Mo,V,Se,Co,Ni,and Mn,the host sandstone being high in Cu and Ba.Overall,the red clastic formations in the southwestern margin of the Ordos Basin are characterized by’five multiples but one low’which means multiple target layers,multiple stages of mineralization,multiple ore body shapes,multiple kinds of uranium minerals,multiple associated elements,but low organic matter.This implies an overall complex uranium metallogenic environment and mineralization process.It is recommended that future uranium exploration should take into consideration regional metallogenic conditions and mineralization features,with target layers in the wide-smooth synclinal slope being focused on.Most uranium deposits are small to medium in size,and the main type of uranium mineralization can vary by target layer.ZHANG Zilong HE Feng YI Longsheng FAN Honghai CAI Yuqi LIU Hongxu LIU Xinyang CHEN Hongbin JIA Cui YANG Mengjia 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5:1

14Recrystallization nucleation under close-setδphase in a nickel-based superalloy during annealing显示文摘Annealing is one of the most efficient heat treatment to refine the grain microstructure in metal alloys.Prior to the annealing,an aging treatment can be implemented to precipitate the second phases for more nucleation sites in deformed mixed grains during subsequent recrystallization.However,the underlying mechanism behind the second phases and recrystallization has not yet been fully understood.Taking a typical deformed nickel(Ni)-based(GH4169)superalloy as an exapmle,this research aims to clairfy the connections between the recrystallization and delta(δ)phase(Ni_(3)Nb) during annealing.All deformed samples were also treated by aging and then annealing.The results show that the microstructure and component ofδphase dominated the recrystallization nucleation in the Ni-based alloy.Moreover,there was the presence of theδphase interval limiting nucleation(PILN)andδphase protecting nucleation(PPN),when a high content of close-set phase was precipitated from the matrix.The PILN determined the primary condition for the recrystallization nucleation that happended at the interval ofδphase larger than the critical nucleation size.The peak nucleation occurred in the PPN,where the recrystallization nucleus were free of the penetration by the adjacent grains,before the nucleation incubation time was reached.Thus,a new feasible JNtheory was proposed to determine the maximum domain of recrystallization nucleation under close-set precipitated phases.All the possible nucleation sites were assumed under PPN in the JNtheory.As such,the original microstructure can be expected to design for the annealing via the aging process.A quantitative evaluation of recrystallization nucleation can also achieved in the Ni-based alloys during aging.Guanqiang Wang Mingsong Chen Yongcheng Lin Hongbin Li Yuqiang Jiang Yanyong Ma Chengxu Peng Jinliang Cai Quan Chen 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,20:1
