| 3 | China Argo project:progress in China Argo ocean observations and data applications显示文摘This paper reviews the current achievements of the China Argo project. It considers aspects of both the construction of the Argo observing array, float technology, and the quality control and sharing of its data. The developments of associated data products and data applications for use in the fields of ocean, atmosphere, and climate research are discussed, particularly those related to tropical cyclones(typhoons), ocean circulation,mesoscale eddies, turbulence, oceanic heat/salt storage and transportation, water masses, and operational oceanic/atmospheric/climatic forecasts and predictions. | 4 | Guandishan Granitoids of the Paleoproterozoic Lüliang Metamorphic Complex in the Trans-North China Orogen:SHRIMP Zircon Ages,Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications显示文摘The Paleoproterozoic L(u|¨)liang Metamorphic Complex(PLMC) is situated in the middle segment of the western margin of the Trans-North China Orogen(TNCO),North China Craton(NCC). As the most important lithological assemblages in the southern part of the PLMC,Guandishan granitoids consist of early gneissic tonalities,granodiorites and gneissic monzogranites,and younger gneissic to massive monzogranites.Petrochemical features reveal that the early gneissic tonalities and granodiorites belong to the medium-K calc-alkaline series;the early gneissic monzogranites are transitional from high-K calc-alkaline to the shoshonite series;the younger gneissic to massive monzogranites belong to the high-k calc-alkaline series,and all rocks are characterized by rightdeclined REE patterns and negative Nb,Ta,Sr,P,and Ti anomalies in the primitive mantle normalized spidergrams.SHRIMP zircon U-Pb isotopic dating reveals that the early gneissic tonalities and granodiorites formed at~2.17 Ga,the early gneissic monzogranites at~2.06 Ga,and the younger gneissic to massive monzogranites at~1.84 Ga.Sm-Nd isotopic data show that the early gneissic tonalities and granodiorites haveε_(Nd)(t) values of +0.48 to -3.19 with Nd-depleted mantle model ages (T_(DM)) of 2.76-2.47 Ga,and early gneissic monzogranites haveε_(Nd)(t) values of-0.53 to -2.51 with F_(DM)of 2.61-2.43 Ga,and the younger gneissic monzogranites haveε_(Nd)(t) values of -6.41 to -2.78 with a T_(DM)of 2.69-2.52 Ga.These geochemical and isotopic data indicate that the early gneissic tonalities, granodiorites,and monzogranites were derived from the partial melting of metamorphosed basaltic and pelitic rocks,respectively,in a continental arc setting.The younger gneissic to massive monzogranites were derived by partial melting of metamorphosed greywackes within the continental crust.Combined with previously regional data,we suggest that the Paleoproterozoic granitoid magmatism in the Guandishan granitoids of the PLMC may provide the best geological signature for the complete spectrum of Paleoproterozoic geodynamic processes in the Trans-North China Orogen from oceanic subduction,through collisional orogenesis,to post-orogenic extension and uplift. | LIU Shuwen LI Qiugen LIU Chaohui LU Yongjun ZHANG Fan | 2009 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,3: | 9 |

| 9 | Reappraise role of lymph node status in patterns of recurrence following curative resection of gastric adenocarcinoma显示文摘Objective: To examine the association between lymph node status and recurrence patterns in completely resected gastric adenocarcinoma.Methods: We retrospectively assessed 1,694 patients who underwent curative gastrectomy from January 2010 to August 2014. Patients stratified according to lymph node status and recurrence patterns among different subgroups were compared.Results: Of all, 517(30.5%) patients developed recurrent disease, and complete data of recurrence could be obtained in 493(95.4%) patients. For p^(N0) patients, the patterns of recurrence were different according to p T stage: locoregional recurrence was most common in patients with p T1-2 disease(57.1%), distant recurrence was most common in patients with p T3 disease(57.1%), and peritoneal recurrence was most common in patients with p T4 a disease(66.7%). For p^(N+) patients, distant metastasis was most common pattern irrespective of p T stage. The site-specific trend of recurrence showed that locoregional recurrence increased within 5 years in patients with p^(N0)-2 disease but plateaued 3 years after surgery in patients with p N3 disease. Time to recurrence was significantly longer for the p^(N0) patients compared with the p^(N+) patients(median: 25 vs. 16 months, P=0.001).Moreover, post-recurrence survival was significantly better for the p^(N0) patients than for the p^(N+) patients(median:12 vs. 6 months, P<0.001), especially in patients with non-peritoneal recurrence, late recurrence, single recurrence,and receipt of potential curative treatment.Conclusions: Among clinicopathologic factors, lymph node status is the most important factor associated with recurrence patterns after curative gastrectomy. | 15 | Influence of ENSO Events on Tropical Cyclone Activity over the Western North Pacific显示文摘Based on an analysis of 51-year (1965 2015) data, the influence of El Ni o Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events on tropical cyclone (TC) activity is examined over the western North Pacific (WNP). The total number of TCs formed in the entire WNP reduces by about 3.4 TCs per year in La Ni a years, whereas TCs have an equivalent genesis number between El Ni o years and climatology. During El Ni o years, the frequency of TC formation increases remarkably in the southeast quadrant (140 E 180 , 0 17 N) and decreases in the northwest quadrant (120 140 E, 17 30 N). During La Ni a years, TCs tend to form in the northwest and southwest quadrants (120 140 E, 0 17 N) quadrants. TCs tend to become long-lived in the peak season (from July to Septem- ber) of El Ni o years and during strong El Ni o events. TC genesis shows a southeastward positive shift in terms of lifetime and intensity during El Ni o years, thus more super TCs (winds ≥ 58.64 m s 1) are formed in the southeast quadrant. | 20 | Twenty years of ocean observations with China Argo显示文摘The international Argo program,a global observational array of nearly 4000 autonomous profiling floats initiated in the late 1990s,which measures the water temperature and salinity of the upper 2000 m of the global ocean,has revolutionized oceanography.It has been recognized one of the most successful ocean observation systems in the world.Today,the proposed decade action“OneArgo”for building an integrated global,full-depth,and multidisciplinary ocean observing array for beyond 2020 has been endorsed.In the past two decades since 2002,with more than 500 Argo deployments and 80 operational floats currently,China has become an important partner of the Argo program.Two DACs have been established to process the data reported from all Chinese floats and deliver these data to the GDACs in real time,adhering to the unified quality control procedures proposed by the Argo Data Management Team.Several Argo products have been developed and released,allowing accurate estimations of global ocean warming,sea level change and the hydrological cycle,at interannual to decadal scales.In addition,Deep and BGC-Argo floats have been deployed,and time series observations from these floats have proven to be extremely useful,particularly in the analysis of synoptic-scale to decadal-scale dynamics.The future aim of China Argo is to build and maintain a regional Argo fleet comprising approximately 400 floats in the northwestern Pacific,South China Sea,and Indian Ocean,accounting for 9%of the global fleet,in addition to maintaining 300 Deep Argo floats in the global ocean(25%of the global Deep Argo fleet).A regional BGC-Argo array in the western Pacific also needs to be established and maintained. | Zenghong Liu Xiaogang Xing Zhaohui Chen Shaolei Lu Xiaofen Wu Hong Li Chunling Zhang Lijing Cheng Zhaoqin Li Chaohui Sun Jianping Xu Dake Chen Fei Chai | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,2: | 0 |
