| 1 | Microstructural characteristics and aging response of Zn-containing Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloy显示文摘Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloys with and without Zn addition were fabricated by conventional ingot metallurgy method. The microstructures and properties were investigated using optical microscopy (OM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), tensile test, hardness test, and electrical conductivity measurement. It is found that the as-cast Al-Mg-Si-Cu-Zn alloy is composed of coarse dendritic grains, long needle-like β/δ-AlFeSi white intermetallics, and Chinese script-like α-AlFeSi compounds. During high temperature homogenization treatment, only harmful needle-like β-AlFeSi phase undergoes fragmentation and spheroidizing at its tips, and the destructive needle-like δ-phase does not show any morphological and size changes. Phase transitions from β-AlFeSi to α-AlFeSi and from δ-AlFeSi to β-AlFeSi are also not found. Zn addition improves the aging hardening response during the former aging stage and postpones the peak-aged hardness to a long aging time. In T4 condition, Zn addition does not obviously increase the yield strength and decrease the elongation, but it markedly improves paint-bake hardening response during paint-bake cycle. | 2 | CapOX as neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced operable colon cancer patients: a prospective single-arm phase Ⅱ trial显示文摘Objective: The aim of this prospective, single-arm phase II trial was to confirm the safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) using oxaliplatin plus capecitabine(Cap OX) for patients with operable locally advanced colon cancer(CC).Methods: Patients with computed tomography-defined T4 or lymph node-positive CCs were enrolled. After radiological staging, patients were treated with at least 2 cycles of NAC consisting of 130 mg/m2 oxaliplatin on d 1,plus 1,000 mg/m2 capecitabine twice daily for 14 d every 3 weeks, followed by surgery, and then with the rest cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy. Radiological response was evaluated after 2 cycles of NAC. Tumor response, treatment toxicity, and surgical complications were recorded. The pathological response to therapy was evaluated according to the tumor regression grade(TRG) score. The primary endpoint was pathologic tumor response. This trial is registered in Clinical Trials.gov(No: NCT02415829).Results: Forty-seven patients were enrolled in the study. Forty-two patients completed the planned treatments.The total radiological response rate was 68%(32/47), including complete and partial response rates of 2%(1/47)and 66%(31/47), respectively. Stable disease was observed in 32%(15/47) and progressive disease was observed in none. Complete pathologic response, major regression, and at least moderate regression were achieved in 1(2%), 2(4%), and 29(62%) patients, respectively. Four patients developed grade 3 treatment toxicities. One patient with wound infection occurred after operation(1/47, 2%). | 3 | Quantitative computed tomography analysis for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019显示文摘To examine the feasibility of using a computer tool for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)based on computed tomography(CT)images.We retrospectively examined 44 confirmed COVID-19 cases.All cases were evaluated separately by radiologists(visually)and through an in-house computer software.The degree of lesions was visually scored by the radiologist,as follows,for each of the 5 lung lobes:0,no lesion present;1,<1/3 involvement;2,>1/3 and<2/3 involvement;and 3,>2/3 involvement.Lesion density was assessed based on the proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO),consolidation and fibrosis of the lesions.The parameters obtained using the computer tool included lung volume(mL),lesion volume(mL),lesion percentage(%),and mean lesion density(HU)of the whole lung,right lung,left lung,and each lobe.The scores obtained by the radiologists and quantitative results generated by the computer software were tested for correlation.A Chi-square test was used to test the consistency of radiologist-and computer-derived lesion percentage in the right/left lung,upper/lower lobe,and each of the 5 lobes.The results showed a strong to moderate correlation between lesion percentage scores obtained by radiologists and the computer software(r ranged from 0.7679 to 0.8373,P<0.05),and a moderate correlation between the proportion of GGO and mean lesion density(r=-0.5894,P<0.05),and proportion of consolidation and mean lesion density(r=0.6282,P<0.05).Computer-aided quantification showed a statistical significant higher lesion percentage for lower lobes than that assessed by the radiologists(x^2=8.160,P=0.004).Our experiments demonstrated that the computer tool could reliably and accurately assess the severity and distribution of pneumonia on CT scans. | Cong Shen Nan Yu Shubo Cai Jie Zhou Jiexin Sheng Kang Liu Heping Zhou Youmin Guo Gang Niu | 2020 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,2: | 13 |
| 4 | Identification of biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma by semiquantitative immunocytochemistry显示文摘AIM:To investigate the expression of key biomarkers in hepatoma cell lines,tumor cells from patients’blood samples,and tumor tissues.METHODS:We performed the biomarker tests in two steps.First,cells plated on coverslips were used to assess biomarkers,and fluorescence intensities were calculated using the NIH Image J software.The measured values were analyzed using the SPSS19.0 software to make comparisons among eight cell lines.Second,eighty-four individual samples were used to assess the biomarkers’expression.Negative enrichment of the blood samples was performed,and karyocytes were isolated and dropped onto pretreated glass slides for further analysis by immunofluorescence staining.Fluorescence intensities were compared among hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients,chronic HBV-infected patients,and healthy controls following methods similar to those used for cell lines.The relationships between the expression of biomarkers and clinical pathological parameters were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation tests.In addition,we studied the distinct biomarkers’expression with three-dimensional laser confocal microscopy reconstructions,and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was performed to understand the clinical significance of these biomarkers.RESULTS:Microscopic examination and fluorescence intensity calculations indicated that cytokeratin 8/18/19(CK)expression was significantly higher in six of the seven HCC cell lines examined than in the control cells,and the expression levels of asialoglycoprotein receptor(ASGPR)and glypican-3(GPC3)were higher in all seven HCC cell lines than in the control.Cells obtained from HCC patients’blood samples also displayed significantly higher expression levels of ASGPR,GPC3,and CK than cells from chronic HBV-infected patients or healthy controls;these proteins may be valuable surface biomarkers for identifying HCC circulating tumor cells isolated and enriched from the blood samples.The stem cell-like and epithelial-mesenchymal transition-related biomarkers could be detected on the karyocyte slides.ASGPR and GPC3 were expressed at high levels,and thus three-dimensional reconstructions were used to observe their expression in detail.This analysis indicated that GPC3 was localized in the cytoplasm and membrane,but that ASGPR had a polar localization.Survival analyses showed that expression of GPC3 and ASGPR is associated with a patient’s overall survival(OS).CONCLUSION:ASGPR,GPC3,and CK may be valuable HCC biomarkers for CTC detection;the expression of ASGPR and GPC3 might be helpful for understanding patients’OS. | Hong Mu Kai-Xuan Lin Hong Zhao Shu Xing Cong Li Fang Liu Hai-Zhen Lu Ze Zhang Yu-Lin Sun Xi-Yun Yan Jian-Qiang Cai Xiao-Hang Zhao | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,19: | 8 |

| 11 | Risk factors for postoperative pancreatic fistula in patients with insulinomas:analysis of 292 consecutive cases显示文摘BACKGROUND:Pancreatic fistula (PF) remains the most challenging complication in pancreatic surgery,yet few published studies have focused on the risk factors for postoperative PF in patients undergoing surgery for insulinomas.METHODS:From January 1990 to February 2010,a total of 292 patients with insulinomas underwent surgery at Peking Union Medical College Hospital.Demographic data,intraoperative procedures,and postoperative data were collected.Particular attention was paid to variables associated with PF as defined by the International Study Group of Pancreatic Fistula (ISGPF).Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to identify possible risk factors for PF.RESULTS:PF was found in 132 (45.2%) patients,of whom 90 were classified into ISGPF grade A,33 grade B,and 9 grade C.Multivariate analysis showed that male patients (OR=2.56;P=0.007) and operative time >180minutes (OR=3.756;P<0.0001) were independent risk factors for clinical PF.Pancreatic resection with stapler was a protective factor for both total PF (OR=0.022;P=0.010) and clinical PF (OR=0.097;P=0.007).CONCLUSIONS:Male gender and operative time >180minutes were independent risk factors for clinical PF,while pancreatic resection with a stapler was a protective factor.Whether body mass index (BMI) and other variables during operation are risk factors of PF needs further study. | Zhao, Yu-Pei Zhan, Han-Xiang Cong, Lin Zhang, Tai-Ping Liao, Quan Dai, Meng-Hua Cai, Li-Xing Zhu, Yu | 2012 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2012,11,1: | 3 |
| 12 | Identification of in vitro and in vivo metabolites of 12β-hydroxylveratroylzygadenine associated with neurotoxicity by using HPLC–MS/MS显示文摘Metabolism study was carried out on 12b-hydroxylveratroylzygadenine(VOG) that is a cevine-type alkaloid existing in Veratrum nigrum L. and a neurotoxic component. In order to better understand the potential mechanism of neurotoxicity of VOG, this study measured VOG-induced DNA damage in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex of mice after 7 days repetitive oral dose by using single-cell gel electrophoresis(Comet assay). High performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS) was developed and applied to separate and identify in vitro and in vivo metabolites of VOG for investing the possible relationship of metabolism and neurotoxicity. In vitro experiment was carried out using rat liver microsomes, while the in vivo study was conducted on rats. The obtained results indicated that VOG might cause DNA damage in cerebellum and cerebral cortex of mice in a dosedependent manner. Hydrolysis of ester bond and O-demethylation were proposed to be the main in vivo metabolic pathways of VOG, while the major in vitro metabolic pathways were proposed as methyl oxidation to aldehyde, dehydrogenation, hydrolysis of ester bond, hydrolysis of ester bond together with acetylation, and methoxylation. | 19 | Simultaneous passivation of bulk and interface defects through synergistic effect of anion and cation toward efficient and stable planar perovskite solar cells显示文摘Bulk and interface carrier nonradiative recombination losses impede the further improvement of power conversion efficiency(PCE)and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).It is highly necessary to develop multifunctional strategy to minimize surface and interface nonradiative recombination losses.Herein,we report a bulk and interface defect passivation strategy via the synergistic effect of anions and cations,where multifunctional potassium sulphate(K_(2)SO_(4))is incorporated at SnO_(2)/perovskite interface.We find that K^(+)ions in K_(2)SO_(4)diffuse into perovskite layer and suppress the formation of bulk defects in perovskite films,and the SO_(4)^(2-)ions remain located at interface via the strong chemical interaction with SnO_(2)layer and perovskite layer,respectively.Through this synergistic modification strategy,effective defect passivation and improved energy band alignment are achieved simultaneously.These beneficial effects are translated into an efficiency increase from 19.45%to 21.18%with a low voltage deficit of0.53 V mainly as a result of boosted open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))after K_(2)SO_(4)modification.In addition,the K_(2)SO_(4)modification contributes to ameliorated stability.The present work provides a route to minimize bulk and interface nonradiative recombination losses for the simultaneous realization of PCE and stability enhancement by rational anion and cation synergistic engineering. | Cong Zhang Huaxin Wang Haiyun Li Qixin Zhuang Cheng Gong Xiaofei Hu Wensi Cai Shuangyi Zhao Jiangzhao Chen Zhigang Zang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12: | 2 |
| 20 | 2,5-Diformylfuran production by photocatalytic selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in water using MoS_(2)/CdIn_(2)S_(4) flower-like heterojunctions显示文摘The selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) into 2,5-diformylfuran(DFF) is an important reaction for renewable biomass building blocks. Compared with thermal catalytic processes, photocatalytic production of DFF from HMF has attracted tremendous attention. Herein, the MoS_(2)/CdIn_(2)S_(4)(MC)flower-like heterojunctions were prepared and considered as photocatalysts for selective oxidation of HMF into DFF under visible-light irradiation in aqueous solution. Results demonstrated MoS_(2) in MC heterojunction could promote the separation of photoexcited electron-hole pairs, while the amount of MoS_(2) dropping was proved influenced on the photocatalytic performance. 80.93% of DFF selectivity was realized when using 12.5% MC as photocatalyst. In addition, the MC catalyst also showed great potential in transformation of other biomass derived benzyl-and furyl-alcohols. The catalytic mechanism suggested that ·O_(2)^(-) was the decisive active radical for HMF oxidation.
