	1	New Discovery of Red Paleosols with Calcite and Zeolitic Rhizoliths in the Late Cretaceous Yaojia Formation, Southern Songliao Basin,NE China显示文摘Objective Paleosols in terrestrial deposits provide important insight into paleoclimate and tectonic events (Gong Hujun et al.,2017).The Late Cretaceous continental red bed in the Songliao Basin of NE China records the paleoclirnate characteristics during the Cretaceous greenhouse period.A series of data has been obtained from cores in continental scientific drilling wells (Wang,2013).However,few investigations have reported on paleoclirnatic and tectonic interpretation of the paleosols in the Late Cretaceous red bed in the Songliao Basin.Through investigation of field outcrops (Fig.la),this work first discovered red paleosols with peculiar calcite and zeolitic rhizoliths in the Upper Cretaceous Yaojia Formation in southern Songliao Basin.
