| 2 | Mycoplasma pneumoniae Macrolide Resistance and MLVA Typing in Children in Beijing,China,in 2016:Is It Relevant?显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the macrolide resistance rate and molecular type with multiple-locus variable-number tandem-repeat analysis(MLVA)of Mycoplasma pneumoniae of Beijing in 2016 in pediatric patients.Methods Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR)was used to identify M.pneumoniae,and MLVA was performed.The domain V of the 23 S rRNA was sequenced to detect macrolide-resistant point mutations.We also investigated the activities of antibiotics against M.pneumoniae isolates in vitro.Results The PCR detection rate of M.pneumoniae in children in Beijing was 40%,and the macrolide resistance rate was 66%.The A2063 G mutation in the 23 S rRNA V region is the dominant mutation(137/146,93.84%),whereas the A2064 G mutation is rare(9/146,6.16%).Seventy-three samples were typed successfully by MLVA typing,including 86.3%(63/73)were MLVA type 4-5-7-2,and 13.7%(10/73)were MLVA type 3-5-6-2.No other types were found.No strains were resistant to levofloxacin or tetracycline.Conclusion In 2016,a specific decrease in the macrolide resistance rate occurred in Beijing.The detection rate and macrolide resistance rate of outpatients are lower than those of inpatients.The A2063 G mutants M.pneumoniae have high levels of resistance to erythromycin and azithromycin.The primary MLVA type is 4-5-7-2,followed by 3-5-6-2.No other MLVA types were detected.No strains resistant to tetracycline or levofloxacin were found in vitro. | DOU Hai Wei TIAN Xiu Jun XIN De Li WEI Ran ZHOU Wei WANG Hong QIN Xuan Guang SHAO Jun Yan XU Bao Ping GE Li Xia SHI Da Wei | 2020 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020，33，12： | 9 |
| 3 | H2 strain attenuated live hepatitis A vaccines:protective efficacy in a hepatitis A outbreak显示文摘AIM To investigate the protective efficacy ofH2 strain attenuated live hepatitis A vaccines(H2-strain vaccines)in hepatitis A(HA)outbreaks.METHODS With the permission of theirparents,5551 pre-school and grade 1-3 primaryschool children were inoculated with 1 dose(106.5TCID50)of H2-strain vaccines in anonrandomized,controlled trial conducted inFucheng County,Hebei Province in May 1997.Another 6485 children in the same grades andcompatible in gender and age were enrolled ascontrols.Epidemiological and serological surveywas conducted to evaluate the protectiveefficacy of the vaccines.ELISA was used todetect serum IgM anti-HAV.RESULTS HA outbreak started in early May1998,peaked in the middle of the same month,and lasted about 80 days.Overall 302 HA caseswere found,192(53.58%)were 5-9 years old.One vaccinee and 25 control cases were found tohave hepatitis A,which account for 0.28%(1/356)and 5.92%(25/422)of all vaccinees andcontrols in the 14 villages,respectively.The protective efficacy of vaccines was 95.27%(95% Cl:85.83%-104.72%).In subjects testedfor anti-HAV IgM from 13 villages,1(0.40%)overt and 11(4.06%)asymptomatic HAV caseswere found in 271 vaccinees,but 21(6.69%)ofovert and asymptomatic ones were found in 314controls.CONCLUSION H2 strain vaccines were excellent in preventing overt hepatitis A, but not so effective in preventing asymptomatic hepatitis A virus infection. | 5 | Higher sea surface temperature in the northern South China Sea during the natural warm periods of late Holocene than recent decades显示文摘The large-scale syntheses of global mean temperatures in IPCC fourth report suggested that the Northern Hemisphere temperature in the second half of the 20th century was likely the highest in at least the past1,300 years and the 1990s was likely the warmest decade.However,this remains debated and the controversy is centered on whether temperatures during the recent half century were higher than those during the Medieval Climate Anomaly(MCA,AD 800–1300)and the Roman Warm Period(RWP,BC 200–AD 400),the most recent two natural warm periods of the late Holocene.Here the high resolution sea surface temperatures(SSTs)of two time windows around AD 990(±40)and AD 50(±40),which located in the MCA and RWP respectively,were reconstructed by the Sr/Ca ratio and d18O of Tradacna gigas shells from the northern South China Sea.The results suggested that the mean SSTs around AD 990(±40)and AD 50(±40)were 28.1°C and 28.7°C,0.8°C and 1.4°C higher than that during AD 1994–2005,respectively.These records,together with the tree ring,lake sediment and literature records from the eastern China and northwest China,imply that the temperatures in recent decades do not seem to exceed the natural changes in MCA,at least in eastern Asia from northwest China to northern SCS. | Hong Yan Liguang Sun Da Shao Yuhong Wang Gangjian Wei | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014，59，31： | 4 |
| 6 | An AGAMOUS-like factor is associated with the origin of two domesticated varieties in Cymbidium sinense (Orchidaceae)显示文摘Cymbidium has been artificially domesticated for centuries in Asia,which produced numerous cultivated varieties.Flowers with stamenoid tepals or those with multiple tepals have been found in different species of Cymbidium;however,the molecular basis controlling the formation of these phenotypes is still largely unknown.Previous work demonstrated that AGAMOUS/AG lineage MADS genes function in floral meristem determinacy as well as in reproductive organs development in both dicots and monocots,indicating a possible relationship with the origin of two flower varieties in Cymbidium.Here,we characterized and analyzed two AG lineage paralogues,CsAG1 and CsAG2,from Cymbidium sinense,both of which were highly expressed in the gynostemium column of a standard C.sinense.Interestingly,we detected ectopic expression of CsAG1 rather than CsAG2 in all floral organs of a stamenoid-tepal variety and significant down-regulation of CsAG1 in a variety with multiple tepals.Over-expression of CsAG1 in wild type Arabidopsis resulted in petal-to-stamen homeotic conversion,suggesting a conserved C-function of CsAG1 in the development of Cymbidium flower.Altogether,our results supported a hypothesis that disruption of a single AG-like factor would be associated with the formation of two domesticated varieties in C.sinense. | Shihao Su Xiaoyu Shao Changfa Zhu Jiayin Xu Yuhuan Tang Da Luo Xia Huang | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018，5，1： | 4 |

| 11 | Determination of AF and AFG in Red Ginseng by High Performance Liquid Chromatography with Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (HPLC-ELSD)显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to establish a method for determining AF and AFG in red ginseng.[Method]A new simple,rapid and sensitive method for simultaneous determination of two amadori compounds,arginyl-fructose(AF)and arginyl-fructosyl-glucose(AFG),in extracts of three kinds of ginseng preparations was developed and validated using high performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detector(HPLC-ELSD).Two target analytes were efficiently separated by Prevail CTM18 column(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm)at the flow rate of 0.8 mL/min within 15 min of single chromatographic run.[Result]Under optimized conditions,the detection limits were 0.015 and 0.02 mg/mL for AF and AFG,respectively.Calibration curves of peak area for two analytes were linear over three orders of magnitude with the correlation coefficients greater than 0.999.The average recoveries,precision,reproducibility and stability for two analytes(AF and AFG)were 99.5% and 100.9%,0.43% and 0.47%,0.46% and 0.43%,0.41% and 0.49%,respectively.[Conclusion]This method was successfully applied for quantifying AF and AFG in red ginseng and the method was efficient,sensitive and accurate. | Chen Wei He Da Shao Ying | 2019 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2019，11，5： | 2 |
