| 1 | Geochronology, Geochemistry and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf Isotopes of No. I Complex from the Shitoukengde Ni–Cu Sulfide Deposit in the Eastern Kunlun Orogen, Western China: Implications for the Magmatic Source, Geodynamic Setting and Genesis显示文摘The Shitoukengde Ni-Cu deposit, located in the Eastern Kunlun Orogen, comprises three mafic–ultramafic complexes, with the No. I complex hosting six Ni-Cu orebodies found recently. The deposit is hosted in the small ultramafic bodies intruding Proterozoic metamorphic rocks. Complexes at Shitoukengde contain all kinds of mafic-ultramafic rocks, and olivine websterite and pyroxene peridotite are the most important Ni-Cu-hosted rocks. Zircon U-Pb dating suggests that the Shitoukengde Ni-Cu deposit formed in late Silurian(426–422 Ma), and their zircons have εHf(t) values of-9.4 to 5.9 with the older T_(DM1) ages(0.80–1.42 Ga). Mafic-ultramafic rocks from the No. I complex show the similar rare earth and trace element patterns, which are enriched in light rare earth elements and large ion lithophile elements(e.g., K, Rb, Th) and depleted in heavy rare earth elements and high field strength elements(e.g., Ta, Nb, Zr, Ti). Sulfides from the deposit have the slightly higher δ^(34)S values of 1.9–4.3‰ than the mantle(0 ± 2‰). The major and trace element characteristics, and Sr-Nd-Pb and Hf, S isotopes indicate that their parental magmas originated from a metasomatised, asthenospheric mantle source which had previously been modified by subduction-related fluids, and experienced significant crustal contamination both in the magma chamber and during ascent triggering S oversaturation by addition of S and Si, that resulted in the deposition and enrichment of sulfides. | 2 | Triassic Granitic Magmatism at the Northern Margin of the North China Craton: Implications of Geochronology and Geochemistry for the Tectonic Evolution of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘The early Mesozoic marked an important transition from collisional orogeny to post-orogenic extension at the northern margin of the North China Craton(NCC). In this study, we undertook zircon U-Pb dating and whole-rock majorand trace-element geochemical analyses of early Mesozoic granitic rocks in the Chifeng area to establish their geochronological framework, petrogenesis, and implications for the tectonic evolution of the eastern Central Asia Orogenic Belt(CAOB). Zircon U-Pb dating results show that these rocks were emplaced in three stages during the Triassic:(1) syenogranites during 250-248 Ma,(2) granodiorites during 244-243 Ma, and(3) monzogranites and granodiorites during 232-230 Ma. These Triassic granitoids belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series and are evolved I-type granites. They have high SiO2 and low Mg O contents with enrichments in light rare-earth elements, Zr, Hf, Rb, Th, and U, and depletions in Ba, Nb, Ta, Sr, and Eu. These geochemical data indicate that the granitoids were derived from partial melting of a lower-crustal source under relatively low-pressure conditions and subsequently underwent extensive fractional crystallization. Considering both the geochemical data and regional geological information, we propose that the 250-248 Ma syenogranites were emplaced in an extensional environment linked to slab break-off after closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean(PAO) along the Solonker-Xra Moron-Changchun suture zone. The 244-243 Ma granodiorites were formed in a compressional orogenic setting during collision between the Erguna-Xing’an-Songliao composite block and the NCC. The 232-230 Ma granodiorites and monzogranites were emplaced during the transition from compressional orogeny to post-orogenic extension. | 3 | Effects of temperature and light on seed germination of ephemeral plants in the Gurbantunggut Desert, China: implications for vegetation restoration显示文摘Seed germination is a key transitional stage in plant life cycle and is strongly regulated by temperature and light.Therefore, research on the effects of temperature and light on seed germination is extremely meaningful for vegetation restoration, especially in desert ecosystems.Seeds of 28 ephemeral plants collected from the Gurbantunggut Desert of China were incubated at different temperatures(5℃/1℃, 15℃/5℃, 20℃/5℃, 25℃/10℃ and 30℃/15℃) in 12-h light/12-h darkness or continuous darkness regimes, and the responses of seed germination to temperature and light and the germination speed were studied in 2016.Results showed that seed germination percentage of the 28 ephemeral plants significantly differed to temperature and light.We classified the studied plants as the following groups based on their responses to temperature: 1 low temperature responsed plants, 12 moderate temperature responsed plants, 7 high temperature responsed plants, 4 non-responsed plants and 5 plants of no germination.It should be noted that Corispermum lehmannianum Bunge is sensitive to both moderate and high temperatures.There were 4 groups of plant in response to light, i.e., 7 light responsed plants, 10 dark responsed plants, 6 light non-responsed plants and 5 plants of no germination.Based on seed germination speed of the 28 ephemeral plants, we divided them into 4 patterns of germination, i.e., very rapid, moderately rapid, moderate and slow.Combining variations of temperature, precipitation and sand dune types in the study area, we suggested that very rapid and moderately rapid germinated plants could be used to moving sand dunes in early spring during vegetation restoration, moderate germinated plants could be used to semi-fixed sand dunes in late autumn, and slow germinated plants could be used to sand plain in summer.Thus, seedling establishment and vegetation restoration would be improved by considering seed germination characteristics of these ephemeral plants in the Gurbantunggut Desert, China. | CHEN Yanfeng CAO Qiumei LI Dexin LIU Huiliang ZHANG Daoyuan | 2019 | Journal of Arid Land2019,11,6: | 4 |

| 5 | Antibody Cocktail Exhibits Broad Neutralization Activity Against SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV-2 Variants显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-Co V-2)has precipitated multiple variants resistant to therapeutic antibodies.In this study,12 high-affinity antibodies were generated from convalescent donors in early outbreaks using immune antibody phage display libraries.Of them,two RBD-binding antibodies(F61 and H121)showed high-affinity neutralization against SARS-Co V-2,whereas three S2-target antibodies failed to neutralize SARS-Co V-2.Following structure analysis,F61 identified a linear epitope located in residues G446–S494,which overlapped with angiotensinconverting enzyme 2(ACE2)binding sites,while H121 recognized a conformational epitope located on the side face of RBD,outside from ACE2 binding domain.Hence the cocktail of the two antibodies achieved better performance of neutralization to SARS-Co V-2.Importantly,these two antibodies also showed efficient neutralizing activities to the variants including B.1.1.7 and B.1.351,and reacted with mutations of N501 Y,E484 K,and L452 R,indicated that it may also neutralize the recent India endemic strain B.1.617.The unchanged binding activity of F61 and H121 to RBD with multiple mutations revealed a broad neutralizing activity against variants,which mitigated the risk of viral escape.Our findings revealed the therapeutic basis of cocktail antibodies against constantly emerging SARS-Co V-2 variants and provided promising candidate antibodies to clinical treatment of COVID-19 patients infected with broad SARS-Co V-2 variants. | Yuanyuan Qu Xueyan Zhang Meiyu Wang Lina Sun Yongzhong Jiang Cheng Li Wei Wu Zhen Chen Qiangling Yin Xiaolin Jiang Yang Liu Chuan Li Jiandong Li Tianlei Ying Dexin Li Faxian Zhan Youchun Wang Wuxiang Guan Shiwen Wang Mifang Liang | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 3 |

| 9 | Fluorouracil-based preoperative chemoradiotherapy with or without oxaliplatin for stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ rectal cancer:a 3-year follow-up study显示文摘Background:Fluorouracil-based preoperative chemoradiotherapy has become the standard treatment for stage II/III rectal cancer.In order to improve the overall survival(OS) and disease-free survival(DFS),we added oxaliplatin to the standard treatment,and compared the effectiveness of these two treatment patterns.Methods:A total of 206 patients enrolled in the prospective study had histologically confirmed rectal cancer of clinical stage II/III during July 2007 to July 2010.They were randomized into the experimental group received oxaliplatin and capecitabine in combination with radiotherapy,and the control group received capecitabine in combination with radiotherapy.All patients received surgery in 6-10 weeks after chemoradiotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy with m FOLFOX6.The primary endpoints were DFS and OS,and the secondary endpoints included toxicity,compliance,and histopathological response.Results:The 3-year OS in the experimental group and the control group was 90.29% vs.86.41%(P>0.05),and the 3-year DFS was 80.58% vs.69.90%(P>0.05).The pathological complete remission(p CR) rates were 23.30% and 19.42%,respectively(P=0.497).The 3-year local recurrence rates were 4.85% vs.5.83%(P=0.694),and the 3-year distant metastasis rates were 16.50% and 28.16%,respectively(P=0.045).There were no significant differences in most grade 3-4 toxicities between two groups,however,grade 3-4 diarrhea occurred in 16.50%(17/103) of the experimental group,compared with 6.80%(7/103) of the control group(P=0.030).Also,the total grade 3-4 acute toxicity showed a significant difference(10.68% vs.21.36%,P=0.037).Conclusions:The experimental treatment did not lead significantly improved OS and DFS,and thus longer follow-up is warranted for our patient cohort.Adding oxaliplatin to capecitabine-based preoperative chemoradiotherapy can significantly reduce metastasis,but has only minimal impact on local recurrence.Although grade 3-4 toxicity rate increased(primarily gastrointestinal toxicity),patients can stand to be followed up with allopathic treatment. | Dexin Jiao Rui Zhang Zhiqiang Gong Fang Liu Yue Chen Qinrui Yu Liping Sun Hongyan Duan Shendong Zhu Fei Liu Jian Wang Jianhui Jia | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,6: | 2 |
