| 1 | The Notch signaling pathway in retinal dysplasia and retina vascular homeostasis显示文摘The retina is one of the most essential elements of vision pathway in vertebrate. The dysplasia of retina cause congenital blindness or vision disability in individuals, and the misbalance in adult retinal vascular homeostasis leads to neovascularization-associated diseases in adults, such as diabetic retinopathy or age-related macular degeneration. Many developmental signaling pathways are involved in the process of retinal development and vascular homeostasis. Among them, Notch signaling pathway has long been studied, and Notch signaling-interfered mouse models show both neural retina dysplasia and vascular abnormality. In this review, we discuss the roles of Notch signaling in the maintenance of retinal progenitor cells, specification of retinal neurons and glial cells, and the sustaining of retina vascular homeostasis, especially from the aspects of conditional knockout mouse models. The potential of Notch signal manipulation may provide a powerful cell fate- and neovascularization-controlling tool that could have important applications in treatment of retinal diseases. | Minhua Zheng Zifeng Zhang Xingcheng Zhao Yuqiang Ding Hua Han | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,9: | 13 |
| 2 | Grey matter volume abnormalities in patients with bipolar I depressive disorder and unipolar depressive disorder:a voxelbased morphometry study显示文摘Bipolar disorder and unipolar depressive disorder(UD) may be different in brain structure. In the present study,we performed voxel-based morphometry(VBM) to quantify the grey matter volumes in 23 patients with bipolar I depressive disorder(BP1) and 23 patients with UD,and 23 age-,gender-,and educationmatched healthy controls(HCs) using magnetic resonance imaging. We found that compared with the HC and UD groups, the BP1 group showed reduced grey matter volumes in the right inferior frontal gyrus and middle cingulate gyrus, while the UD group showed reduced volume in the right inferior frontal gyrus compared to HCs. In addition, correlation analyses revealed that the grey matter volumes of these regions were negatively correlated with the Hamilton depression rating scores. Taken together, the results of our study suggest that decreased grey matter volume of the right inferior frontal gyrus is a common abnormality in BP1 and UD,and decreasedgrey matter volume in the right middle cingulate gyrus may be specifi c to BP1. | Yi Cai Jun Liu Li Zhang Mei Liao Yan Zhang Lifeng Wang Hongjun Peng Zhong He Zexuan Li Weihui Li Shaojia Lu Yuqiang Ding Lingjiang Li | 2015 | Neuroscience Bulletin2015,31,1: | 11 |
| 3 | Antiparkinsonian treatment for depression in Parkinson's disease: Are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors recommended?显示文摘Depression is a frequent comorbid syndrome in Parkinson's disease. It is a difficult symptom to manage, as patients continuously receive antiparkinsonian medication and may also have to be treated for the amelioration of the side-effects of antiparkinsonian therapy. The first-line treatment for depression in Parkinson's disease is the use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors(SSRIs). The clinical efficacy of these medications in patients with Parkinson's disease is questionable. In fact, based on their mechanism of action, which requires at least a functional serotonergic system, it is predicted that SSRIs will have lower efficacy in patients with Parkinson's disease. Here, we consider the mechanism of action of SSRIs in the context of Parkinson's disease by investigating the fall in the levels of serotonergic markers and the inhibitory outcomes of antiparkinsonian treatment on serotonergic nerve activity. Because certain classes of antidepressant drugs are widely available, it is necessary to perform translational research to address different strategies used to manage depression in Parkinson's disease. | Philippe De Deurwaerdère Yuqiang Ding | 2016 | Translational Neuroscience and Clinics2016,2,2: | 4 |

| 6 | Study on wave rotor refrigerators显示文摘As a novel generation of a rotational gas wave machine, the wave rotor refrigerator(WRR)is an unsteadyflow device used for refrigeration,in whose passages pressured streams directly contact and exchange energy due to the movement of pressure waves. In this paper, the working mechanism and refrigeration principle are inves-tigated based on the one-dimensional unsteadyflow theory.A basic limitation on main structural parameters and operating parameters is deduced and the wave diagram of WRR to guide designing is sketched. The main influential factors are studied through an experiment. In the DUT Gas Wave Refrigeration Studying and Development Center(GWRSDC)lab, the isentropic efficiency can now reach about 65%.The results show that the WRR is a feasible and promising technology in pressured gas refrigeration cases. | Yuqiang DAI Dapeng HU Meixia DING | 2009 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2009,3,1: | 0 |
