1CALCULATION OF THE MAGNETIZATION AND MAGNETOCALORIC EFFECT IN THE MnFeP_(0.45)As_(0.55) COMPOUND显示文摘A magnetic state equation of the MnFeP0.45As0.55 compound has been obtained by minimizing the Gibbs free energy with respect to the volume and the magnetization based on the Bean-Rodbell model. The isothermal magnetization of the compound has been calculated using this equation. The magnetic entropy change of the compound was determined from the surface area between the two adjacent isothermal magnetization curves divided by the average temperature. 6NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF COLUMNAR TO EQUIAXED TRANSITION FOR DIRECTIONALLY SOLIDIFIED Ti-44Al ALLOY显示文摘Solute diffusion controlled solidification model was applied to simulate the columnar to equiaxed transition (CET) during directional solidification of Ti-44Al alloy.The sim- ulation results show that the solutal interactions from growing equiaxed grains play an important role on CET.The effects of the applied thermal gradient and pulling veloc- ity,the equiaxed seed spacing and nucleation undercooling on the CET are investigated in the present simulation.The simulated results indicated that the columnar branch spacing depends not only on the thermal gradient and the pulling velocity,but also on number of the seeds.A spacing adjustment can occur through initiation of seeds that develop into new columnar grains.The dependence of the CET on the thermal gradient and pulling velocity,qualitatively agrees with the analytical CET model of Hunt.K.F. 7MICROBRIDGE TESTING OF YOUNG'S MODULUS AND RESIDUAL STRESS OF NICKEL FILM ELECTROPLATED ON SILICON WAFER显示文摘Microbridge testing is used to measure the Young's modulus and residual stresses of metallic films. Nickel film microbridges with widths of several hundred microns are fabricated by Microelectromechanical Systems. In order to measure the mechanical properties of nickel film microbridges, special shaft structure is designed to solve the problem of getting the load-deflection curves of metal film microbridge by Nanoindenter XP system with normal Berkovich probe. Theoretical analysis of the microbridge load-deflection curve is proposed to evaluate the Young's modulus and residual stress of the films simultaneously. The calculated results based on the experimental measurements show that the average Young's modulus and residual stress are around 190GPa and 175MPa respectively, while the Young's modulus measured by Nanohardness method on nickel film with silicon substrate is 186.8±7.34GPa.Y.Zhou C.S.Yang J.A.
