1Prediction of casing wear in extended-reach drilling显示文摘Intermediate casings in the build sections are subject to severe wear in extended-reach drilling. This paper presents a new method for predicting the depth of a wear groove on the intermediate casing. According to energy principle and dynamic accumulation of casing wear by tool joints, a model is established to calculate the wear area on the inner wall of the casing. The relationship functions between the wear groove depth and area are obtained based on the geometry relationship between the drillstring and the wear section and the assumption that the casing wear groove is crescent-shaped. The change of casing wear groove depth versus drilling footage under different-sized drillstrings is also discussed. A mechanical model is proposed for predicting casing wear location, which is based on the well trajectory and drillstring movement. The casing wear groove depth of a planned well is predicted with inversion of the casing wear factor from the drilled well and necessarily revised to improve the prediction accuracy for differences between the drilled well and the planned well. The method for predicting casing wear in extended-reach drilling is verified through actual case study. 2Limit analysis of extended reach drilling in South China Sea显示文摘Extended reach wells (ERWs), especially horizontal extended reach well with a high HD (horizontal displacement) to TVD (true vertical depth) ratio, represent a frontier technology and challenge the drilling limitations. Oil and gas reservoir in beaches or lakes and offshore can be effectively exploited by using extended reach drilling (ERD) technology. This paper focuses on the difficult technological problems encountered during exploiting the Liuhua 11-1 oil fi eld in the South China Sea, China. Emphasis is on investigating the key subjects including prediction and control of open hole limit extension in offshore ERD, prediction of casing wear and its prevention and torque reduction,φ244.5mm casing running with floating collars to control drag force, and steerable drilling modes. The basic concept of limit extension in ERD is presented and the prediction method for open hole limit extension is given in this paper. A set of advanced drilling mechanics and control technology has been established and its practical results are verifi ed by fi eld cases. 3Measurement and Spatio-temporal Distribution of Urbanization Development Quality of Urban Agglomeration in China显示文摘Urbanization development quality(UDQ) of urban agglomeration(UA) is one of the important indexes to evaluate if the UA urbanization speed is reasonable,if the population urbanization process is sound,if the economic urbanization process is efficient,if the social urbanization process is harmonious and fair,which is generally composed of three parts,including economic urbanization development quality,social urbanization development quality and spa-tial urbanization security quality.With the research of evolution rules of UDQ,through the analysis on the interactive coordination relation between UDQ and urbanization level,the paper proposes three dimensional index ball and stan-dard value of comprehensive measures of UDQ,which is composed of three categories of indexes.By introducing At-kinson model,this paper constructs the sub-element measure model and segmental measure model of UDQ,and fur-ther makes an overall evaluation on the characteristic of UDQ of UAs in China.Results show that:1) UDQ of UAs lied at optimization and upgrading phase during 1995-2008 and the quality was low.Population urbanization level did not reflect the UDQ of UAs;2) the improving speed of the spatial urbanization security quality was higher than the so-cial urbanization development quality,and the improving speed of economic urbanization development quality was the lowest;3) the coordination between UDQ and urbanization level was not so good;4) there was a weak correlation re-lation between UDQ and UA scale,and it was not true that the bigger the UA was,the better the UDQ was.WANG Deli FANG Chuanglin GAO Boyang HUANG Jinchuan YANG Qingshan 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,6:13
4Research into magnetic guidance technology for directional drilling in SAGD horizontal wells显示文摘SAGD horizontal wells are used to enhance oil recovery from heavy oil reservoirs.This technology requires precise separation between the production well and the injection well to ensure the efficient drainage of the reservoir.By studying the attitude of the downhole probe tube and the production well trajectory,an algorithm is proposed for eliminating ferromagnetic interference while drilling injection wells.A high accuracy filter circuit has been designed to correct the detected magnetic signals,which are ultra-weak,frequency-instable,and narrow-band.The directional drilling magnetic guidance system(DD-MGS) has been developed by integrating these advanced techniques.It contains a sub-system for the ranging calculation software,a magnetic source,a downhole probe tube and a sub-system for collecting & processing the detected signals.The DD-MGS has succeeded in oilfield applications.It can guide the directional drilling trajectory not only in the horizontal section but also in the build section of horizontal injection wells.This new technology has broad potential applications.Gao Deli Diao Binbin Wu Zhiyong Zhu Yu 2013Petroleum Science2013,10,4:7
5Risk analysis of extended reach wells in the Liuhua Oilfield,South China Sea,based on comprehensive fuzzy evaluation method显示文摘Drilling engineering has great uncertainty and it always involves huge investment and high risk. Risk analysis of extended reach drilling (ERD) is very important to prevent complex failures and to improve drilling effi ciency. Nowadays there are few reports on how to analyze quantitatively the drilling risk for extended reach wells (ERWs). Based on the fuzzy set theory, a comprehensive fuzzy evaluation model for analyzing risks of ERD is proposed in this paper. Well B6ERW07 is a planned 8,000-meter ERW with a high ratio of horizontal displacement (HD) to vertical depth (VD) in the Liuhua Oilfield, the South China Sea, China. On the basis of the evaluation model developed in this study, the risk for drilling Well B6ERW07 was evaluated before drilling. 6EQUIVALENT NORMAL CURVATURE APPROACH MILLING MODEL OF MACHINING FREEFORM SURFACES显示文摘A new milling methodology with the equivalent normal curvature milling model machining freeform surfaces is proposed based on the normal curvature theorems on differential geometry. Moreover,a specialized whirlwind milling tool and a 5-axis CNC horizontal milling machine are introduced.This new milling model can efficiently enlarge the material removal volume at the tip of the whirlwind milling tool and improve the producing capacity.The machining strategy of this model is to regulate the orientation of the whirlwind milling tool relatively to the principal directions of the workpiece surface at the point of contact,so as to create a full match with collision avoidance between the workpiece surface and the symmetric rotational surface of the milling tool.The practical results show that this new milling model is an effective method in machining complex three- dimensional surfaces.This model has a good improvement on finishing machining time and scallop height in machining the freeform surfaces over other milling processes.Some actual examples for manufacturing the freeform surfaces with this new model are given.YI Xianzhong MA Weiguo QIHaiying YAN Zesheng GAO Deli 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,3:5

9Experimental Study of Rock Drill-ability Anisotropy by Acoustic Velocity显示文摘Rock drill-ability anisotropy has significant effects on directional drilling and deviation control. Its evaluation is an important but difficult research subject. Definitions of drill-ability anisotropy and acoustic anisotropy of rock are given in this paper. The acoustic velocities and the drill-ability parameters of several rock samples from the Engineering Center for Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling (CCSD) are respectively measured with the device for testing the rock drill-ability and the ultrasonic testing system in laboratory, so that their drill-ability anisotropy and acoustic anisotropy are respectively calculated and discussed in detail by using the experimental data. On the basis of these experimental results and calculations, correlations between drill-ability anisotropy and acoustic anisotropy of the rock samples are illustrated through regression analyses. 10Study on prediction model of maximum hydraulic extension depth for ultra deep wells considering effects of temperature显示文摘How long the ultra deep well can extend and what is the ultra deep well's maximum hydraulic extension depth are always concerned and studied by drilling engineers. The well's maximum hydraulic extension depth can be predicted by the maximum hydraulic extension depth prediction model. To overcome the disadvantage that previous prediction model did not consider the effects of temperature and only applies to horizontal wells, a prediction model of maximum hydraulic extension depth for ultra deep wells considering effects of temperature is established. Considering the effects of temperature coupled with the constraints of drilling pump rated pressure and rated power, the prediction result of ultra deep well's maximum hydraulic extension depth is modified. An ultra deep well developed by Sinopec in Shunbei oilfield, China, is analyzed, and its wellbore temperature profile and maximum hydraulic extension depth are analyzed and predicted. Results show that the maximum hydraulic extension depth with considering temperature is larger than that without considering temperature. With the identical depth, the higher inlet temperature and the greater geothermal gradient mean the higher drilling fluid temperatures in the drill string and annulus as well as the larger maximum hydraulic extension depth. Besides, the maximum depth decreases with the increase in drilling fluid flow rate and density, while it increases with the increase in drilling pump rated pressure and rated power. To ensure the designed depth can be reached, there exists the maximum drilling fluid flow rate and density, as well as the minimum drilling pump rated pressure and rated power. This study is important for accurately predicting the ultra deep well's maximum depth within the limit capacity of drilling pump. 11A numerical method for determining the stuck point in extended reach drilling显示文摘A stuck drill string results in a major non-productive cost in extended reach drilling engineering.The first step is to determine the depth at which the sticking has occurred.Methods of measurement have been proved useful for determining the stuck points,but these operations take considerable time.As a result of the limitation with the current operational practices,calculation methods are still preferred to estimate the stuck point depth.Current analytical methods do not consider friction and are only valid for vertical rather than extended reach wells.The numerical method is established to take full account of down hole friction,tool joint,upset end of drill pipe,combination drill strings and tubular materials so that it is valid to determine the stuck point in extended reach wells.The pull test,torsion test and combined test of rotation and pulling can be used to determine the stuck point.The results show that down hole friction,tool joint,upset end of drill pipe,tubular sizes and materials have significant effects on the pull length and/or the twist angle of the stuck drill string.Sun Lianzhong Gao Deli 2011Petroleum Science2011,8,3:2
12Anti-proliferative effect of the extract of Guangzao (Fructus Choerospondiatis) on cultured rat cardiac fibroblasts显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To ascertain if total flavonoids of Guangzao(Fructus Choerospondiatis)(TFFC) extracted from Guangzao(Fructus Choerospondiatis) can inhibit angiotensin Ⅱ-induced proliferation of cardiac fibroblasts(CFs).METHODS: CFs were cultured by the differential attachment method. A model of cell proliferation was established by stimulation with Ang Ⅱ. Cardiac fibroblasts growth was determined using a hemocytometer. Cell proliferation was detected by methyl thiazole tetrazolium. Lactate dehydrogenase activitywas measured by chemical colorimetric method.RESULTS: Proliferation of TFFC-treated(25, 50,100 mg/L) fibroblasts was significantly less than that of cells in the angiotensin Ⅱ group(P < 0.01),and TFFC inhibited proliferation in a dose-dependent manner. 13Critical condition study of borehole stability during air drilling显示文摘The purpose of this paper is to establish the existence of the critical condition of borehole stability during air drilling. Rock Failure Process Analysis Code 2D was used to set up a damage model of the borehole excavated in strain-softening rock. Damage evolution around the borehole was studied by tracking acoustic emission. The study indicates that excavation damaged zone (EDZ) is formed around borehole because of stress concentration after the borehole is excavated. There is a critical condition for borehole stability; the borehole will collapse when the critical damage condition is reached. The critical condition of underground excavation exists not only in elastic and ideal plastic material but in strain- softening material as well.
