1A late Mesozoic high plateau in eastern China:Evidence from basalt vesicular paleoaltimetry显示文摘Eastern China is made of a number of large and small continental fragments throughout late Paleozoic and Mesozoic time,and is still the best natural laboratory for examining kinematic models of continent tectonics.The paleoelevation history of eastern China provides direct insight into the tectonic processes in China.Here we present basalt-vesicularity based estimates of the paleoaltimetry of the early Cretaceous basalts in northern East China,which indicate that the studied basalt units were at an elevation of more than 4 kilometers in late Mesozoic.Two vesicular basaltic rocks have been collected form bottom to top along the lava flow outcrop in eastern Inner Mongolia.After the digital precessing to the sample cross-sections,and taking advantage of the stereological conversion method to acquire the bubble size distributions,paleoelevation estimate was calculated for East China in the early Cretaceous.The results show that the elevation has been near 4700±750 m when the lava flows was cooling,implying that there were highland regions in the northern part of the East China Plateau during the early Cretaceous.Combined with other geological evidence,we conclude that there was a high plateau with elevation near 5000 m above sea level in Eastern China during the late Mesozoic.This ancient high plateau in eastern China was most likely formed by the collision of the north and south China blocks.XIA GuoQing YI HaiSheng ZHAO XiXi GONG DaXing JI ChangJun 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,21:9
2Discovery of marine fossils in the upper part of the Permian Linxi Formation in Lopingian, Xingmeng area, China显示文摘Two important geological issues have a long history of debate in the Xingmeng area.The first concerns the final closure of the North China plate,Siberia plate and several intermediate massifs in the area,and the other concerns the folding and lifting of the Xingmeng Trough.Disagreements arise because of issues involving the tectonicpalaeogeographical environment of the Upper Permian deposits of the Linxi Formation.The Linxi Formation(Upper Permian)is generally considered to be either an exclusively continental deposit or separated into marineterrigenous facies deposited during the Lower to Middle Linxi Period and continental deposits in the Upper Linxi Period.However,in this study,large numbers of bryozoan and sponge spicule fossils were discovered for this first time in the thick limestone layers and lenses of the upper part of the Linxi Formation found in the Guandi section of Linxi county in eastern Inner Mongolia.At the same time,abundant bryozoan fossils were also found in sedimentary tuff slices that were collected from the upper part of the Taohuayingzi Formation from the Taohuayingzi section in Ar Horqin Banner,and abundant small connecting body crinoid stem fossils were found in the dark shale of the Yangjiagou Formation from the Yangjiagou section of Jiutai county,Jilin Province.These marine fossils provide the first evidence that the Xingmeng area was still a marine or mainly marine environment at the end of the late Permian.This not only provides conclusive evidence for the recognition of the above two major geological issues but also promotes changes in the approach towards research,exploration and development of oil and gas,shale gas(oil),and other mineral resources that are preserved in the late Permian layers of the Northeast-Xingmeng area.Yongsheng Zhang Shugang Tian Zishun Li Yuexuan Gong Enyuan Xing Zhuozhuo Wang Daxing Zhai Cao Jie Su Kui Wang Meng 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,1:6

4The feasibility of antitumor drugs chemosensitivity testing by flow cytometry显示文摘Objective: To investigate the feasibility of chemosensitivity testing of antitumor drugs by flow cytometry in clinical applications so as to provide experimental and theoretical basis for the establishment of a novel antitumor drugs sensitivity testing and the screening of particular antitumor drugs. Methods: Detect the apoptosis rate of 12 cases of Molt-4 cell line, 57 cases of fresh clinical gastrointestinal tumor cells by Sub-G1 and Annexin V assay of flow cytometry under the effects of antitumor drugs at different times and the outcomes were compared with the ones of the MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazolyl-2) -2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. Results: The lethality of drugs on Molt-4 cell, clinical gastrointestinal tumor cells had a positive correlation with the acting time of antidrugs by employing Annexin V, Sub-G1 and MTT assay. Drug-incurring maximum lethality of Annexin V assay was higher than MTT colorimetric assay, that of Sub-G1 was lower than MTT assay, the virtual times of Annexin V and Sub-G1 assay were obviously earlier than that of MTT colorimetric assay. Conclusion: Annexin V and Sub-G1 assay of flow cytometry can be taken as potent protocols testing anti-tumor drug chemosensitivity. 6Luku Alkali Syenite in the Hongge Ore District,SW China:Geochemistry,Geochronology and Metallogenic Significance显示文摘Luku alkali syenite is distributed throughout the southern end of the Hongge basic-ultrabasic intrusion in Panzhihua,Sichuan,SW China.Using LA-ICP-MS,the alkali syenite intrusion yielded a zircon U-Pb age of_(2)64.5±1.6 Ma,concordant with the ages of the E’meishan large igneous province(260 Ma).The intrusion displayed silica-saturated,Al-adequate and alkali-rich signatures,with SiO_(2)62.07%-64.04%,Al_(2)O_(3)16.26%-16.79%and Na_(2)O+K_(2)O 9.17%-9.91%(averaging 9.31%).The rock falls into the alkaline zone on the SiO_(2)-A.R.diagram,as well as in the potassium zone on the K_(2)O-Na_(2)O diagram,indicating a potassium alkaline rock.The rock has a low total REE concentration and showed enrichment in LREE(LREE/HREE=7.06-7.95),typical negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.73-0.80),trace element deficiencies in LILEs(Ba,K,Sr,Zr)and enrichment in HFSEs(Th,U,Nd,Sm,Ta and Nb),displaying crust and mantle element information.Zircons show a strong positive Ce anomaly and negative Eu anomaly,similar to the characteristics of crustal source magmatic zircon,however the(Lu/Gd)N ratio ranges from 1.48 to 3.17,and the(Yb/Sm)N ratio ranges from 38.49 to 77.15,which are similar to the characteristics of mantle-derived magmatic zircon.In the La/Yb-δEu correlation diagram,the data plots near the boundary between crust type and crust-mantle type.From the combined‘trinity’spatiotemporal relationship of Indosinian intermediate-acid alkali intrusive rocks in the Panxi area with E’meishan basalt and basic-ultrabasic intrusive rocks,the regional tectonic evolution and the partial melting model of the most intraplate magma sources,we believe that the Luku alkali syenite in Sichuan was formed from the partial melting of a crust-mantle source material,due to underplating of the mantle plume basic magma.ZHOU Jiayun LIU Yingdong XU Li ZHU Zhimin GONG Daxing JIANG Xiaoli 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,3:0
