| 1 | Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children. | Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9: | 158 |

The expression levels of PbPAL1,PbPAL2,PbC3H,PbC 4H,Pb4CL1,Pb4CL2,Pb4CL6,PbHCT1 and PbHCT3 genes decreased in fruit,which was consistent with the pattern of variation in CGA content. | 5 | Postoperative decrease of serum albumin predicts shortterm complications in patients undergoing gastric cancer resection显示文摘AIM To find an accurate and simple predictor for postoperative short-term complications after gastrectomy. METHODS Two hundred and twenty-three patients undergoing gastric cancer resection between October 1,2015 and September 30,2016 were enrolled in this study. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used toidentify risk factors for complications after gastrectomy. The cutoff values and diagnostic accuracy were examined by receiver operating characteristic curves.RESULTS Sixty-two(27.8%) patients had short-term complications after gastric cancer resection. The postoperative decrease in serum albumin(?ALB) was an independent risk factor for complications(OR = 17.957,95%CI: 6.073-53.095,P < 0.001). The cutoff value was 14.0% and the area under the curve was higher than that of C-reactive protein on postoperative day 3(area under the curve: 0.806 vs 0.709). | 6 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 7 | A controlled study of positron-emission-tomography and positron-emission-tomography/computed tomography in differential diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodules—report of 60 cases显示文摘The differential diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) remains a challenge. It is acknowledged that combining positron-emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) offers the most reliable noninvasive method for the diagnosis of SPNs. Since Townsend et al1 developed integrated PET/CT in 1999, this technique has increasingly been introduced into clinical practice. To date, nuclear medicine physicians have usually undertaken PET/CT diagnosis, but the question is surfacing as how to make full use of the information of CT image to improve the accuracy of SPN diagnosis. To answer this question, we performed a retrospective study on 60 patients with SPNs. METHODS Patients Between October 2003 and October 2004, 60 consecutive patients with SPNs (age range 26-85 years; median 56 years) underwent PET/CT examination, including 30 with benign and 30 with malignant lesions. | 9 | Tubeimoside-1, a triterpenoid saponin, induces cytoprotective autophagy in human breast cancer cells in vitro via Akt-mediated pathway显示文摘Autophagy, a form of cellular self-digestion by lysosome, is associated with various disease processes including cancers, and modulating autophagy has shown promise in the treatment of various malignancies. A number of natural products display strong antitumor activity, yet their mechanisms of action remain unclear. To gain a better understanding of how traditional Chinese medicine agents exert antitumor effects, we screened 480 natural compounds for their effects on autophagy using a high content screening assay detecting GFP-LC3 puncta in HeLa cells. Tubeimoside-1 (TBMS1), a triterpenoid saponin extracted from Bolbostemma paniculatum (Maxim) Franquet (Cucurbitaceae), was identi?ed as a potent activator of autophagy. The activation of autophagy by TBMS1 was evidenced by increased LC3-II amount and GFP-LC3 dots, observation of autophagosomes under electron microscopy, and enhanced autophagic ?ux. To explore the mechanisms underlying TBMS1-activated autophagy, we performed cheminformatic analyses and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) binding assay that showed a higher likelihood of the binding between Akt protein and TBMS1. In three human breast cancer cell lines, we demonstrated that Akt–mTOR–eEF-2K pathway was involved in TBMS1-induced activation of autophagy, while Akt-mediated downregulations of Mcl-1, Bcl-xl, and Bcl-2 led to the activation of apoptosis of the breast cancer cells. Inhibition of autophagy enhanced the cytotoxic effect of TBMS1 via promoting apoptosis. | 11 | Intensive phototherapy vs.exchange transfusion for the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia:a multicenter retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Intensive phototherapy(IPT)and exchange transfusion(ET)are the main treatments for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.However,there is no reliable evidence on determining the thresholds for these treatments.This multicenter study compared the effectiveness and complications of IPT and ET in the treatment of extreme hyperbilirubinemia.Methods:This retrospective cohort study was conducted in seven centers from January 2015 to January 2018.Patients with extreme hyperbilirubinemia that met the criteria of ET were included.Patients were divided into three subgroups(low-,medium-,and high-risk)according to gestational week and risk factors.Propensity score matching(PSM)was performed to balance the data before treatment.Study outcomes included the development of bilirubin encephalopathy,duration of hospitalization,expenses,and complications.Mortality,auditory complications,seizures,enamel dysplasia,ocular motility disorders,athetosis,motor,and language development were evaluated during follow-up at age of 3 years.Results:A total of 1164 patients were included in this study.After PSM,296 patients in the IPT only group and 296 patients in the IPT plus ET group were further divided into the low-,medium-,and high-risk subgroups with 188,364,and 40 matched patients,respectively.No significant differences were found between the IPT only and IPT plus ET groups in terms of morbidity,complications,and sequelae.Hospitalization duration and expenses were lower in the low-and medium-risk subgroups in the IPT only group.Conclusions:In this study,our results suggest that IPT is a safe and effective treatment for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.The indication of ET for patients with hyperbilirubinemia could be stricter.However,it is necessary to have a contingency plan for emergency ET as soon as IPT is commenced especially for infants with risk factors.If IPT can be guaranteed and proved to be therapeutic,ET should be avoided as much as possible. | Meng Zhang Yang He Jun Tang Wenbin Dong Yong Zhang Benjin Zhang Hong Wan Quanmin Deng Lirong Guan Bin Xia Zhong Chen Min Ge Jing Zhao Wenxing Li Jingjun Pei Yi Qu Dezhi Mu | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,5: | 7 |

| 14 | The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components.The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. This study examined an array of factors, including waist circumference (WC) and folate deficiency, which may mediate the association of BMI with serum ALT concentration in Chinese hypertensive adults without known hepatic diseases. Methods:A multicenter, cross-sectional study was carried out. A total of 378 patients with mild or moderate hypertension and without known hepatic diseases were recruited from five hospitals in Harbin, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, and Nanjing. Results:Of the 360 hypertensive patients with complete data in our final analysis, 13.6% had high ALT concentrations (>40 IU/L). Factors including BMI, WC, triglyceride level, and folate concentration were associated with ALT concentration in univariate analysis. Consistently higher prevalence rates of elevated ALT were observed in subjects with lower folate concentrations (≥12 vs. <12 nmol/L, 9.9% vs. 17.8%, P=0.03), with higher BMI (≥28 vs. <28 kg/m2, 21.5% vs. 11.4%, P=0.02) or higher WC (≥90 vs. <90 cm, 18.5% vs. 10.0%, P=0.02). However, in multivariate analysis, the association between BMI and ALT concentration disappeared (P=0.802 in males and 0.369 in females), while WC in females (P<0.001) and folate concentration (P=0.036 in males and 0.044 in females) remained as significant predictors for ALT concentration.
