1Relationship between nano-scale deformation of coal structure and metamorphic-deformed environments显示文摘There is a more consanguineous relation be-tween nano-scale deformation of coal structure and meta-morphic-deformed environment. In different metamor-phic-deformed environments, deformation in the coal struc-ture can occur not only at micro-scale, but also at nano-scale, and even leads to the change of molecular structure and nano-scale pore (<100 nm) structure. The latter is the main space absorbing coalbed methane. Through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and liquid–nitrogen absorption methods, the charac-teristics of macromolecular and nano-scale pore structures of coals in different metamorphic-deformed environments and deformational series of coals have been studied. By combin-ing with high-resolution transmission electron microcopy (HRTEM), the macromolecular and nano-scale pore struc-tures are also directly observed. These results demonstrate that the stacking Lc of the macromolecular BSU in tectonic coals increases quickly from the metamorphic-deformed environment of low rank coals to that of high rank coals. For different deformed tectonic coals, in the same metamor-phic-deformed environment, the difference of Lc is obvious. These changes reflect chiefly the difference of different tem-perature and stress effect of nano-scale deformation in tec-tonic coals. The factor of temperature plays a greater role in the increase of macromolecular structure parameters Lc, the influence of stress factor is also important. With the stress strengthening, Lc shows an increasing trend, and La /Lc shows a decreasing trend. Therefore, Lc and La /Lc can be used as the indicator of nano-scale deformation degree of tectonic coals. With increasing temperature and pressure, especially oriented stress, the orientation of molecular structure be-comes stronger, and ordering degree of C-nets and the ar-rangement of BSU are obviously enhanced. For the deforma-tion of nano-scale pore structure, in the same metamor-phic-deformed environment, along with the strengthening of stress, the ratio of mesopores to its total pores volume of tec-tonic coals reduces to a large extent, the ratio of volume of micropores and the pores whose diameters are lower than micropores increases, and sub-micropores and ultra- micro-pores can be found. Moreover, the ratio of specific surface area of mesopores to its total pores reduces rapidly while theamount of sub-micropores increases more quickly. The duc-tile structure coal has a change in pore parameters similar to that of weak brittle deformation. There are differences in the deformation and evolution of nano-scale pore structure of different kinds of tectonic coals formed in different meta-morphic-deformational environments. 3Behavior and mechanism of the adsorption/desorption of tectonically deformed coals显示文摘The physical and chemical texture of tectonically deformed coals produced by various formational mechanisms are different from those of primary coals,thus resulting in major differences among the physical properties of the reservoirs of these coals. We have studied the adsorption/desorption be-havior of tectonically deformed coals by the use of isothermal adsorption/desorption experiments un-der equilibrium moisture condition. Experiments of isothermal adsorption/desorption of methane or multi-component gases have indicated that,the adsorption curves of coals with a low degree of tec-tonic deformation conform to the type of isothermal adsorption curve described by the Langmuir equation; the methane adsorption curves of coals with strong tectonic deformation cannot be de-scribed by the Langmuir equation. The adsorption/desorption process of methane and multi-compo-nent gases in the deformed coals is not consistent with primary coals,which form an effect of hys-teresis in different kinds of tectonically deformed coals. With the change of pore structure of tectoni-cally deformed coals at reservoir condition,the added adsorbed CH4 in the experiments is desorbed on the pore surface of coals during the pressure reduction process. Thus,the result shows that the ad-sorption volume in the process of desorbing is greater than that in adsorbing. 5Short Tandem Target Mimic:A Long Journey to the Engineered Molecular Landmine for Selective Destruction/Blockage of MicroRNAs in Plants and Animals显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are a population of highly conserved specific small ribo-regulators that negatively regulate gene expressions in both plants and animals.They play a key role in post-transcriptional gene regulation by destabilizing the target gene transcripts or blocking protein translation from them.Interestingly,these negative regulators are largely compromised by an upstream layer of negative regulators 'target mimics' found in plants or 'endogenous competing RNAs' revealed recently in animals.These endogenous regulatory mechanisms of 'double negatives making a positive' have now been developed into a key strategy in the study of small RNA functions. 6Dominant Gene cplsr1 Corresponding to Premature Leaf Senescence Resistance in Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)显示文摘Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) premature leaf senescence-resistant inbred XLZ33 and senescence-susceptible inbred lines XLZ13 were selected and crossed to produce F1, F1-reciprocal, F2 and BC1 generations for evaluation of leaf senescence process and inheritance. The results showed that leaf senescence processes for XLZ13 and XLZ33 were obviously different and leaf senescence traits could be distinguished between the two parents at particular periods of cotton growth. Inheritance anlysis for the cotton premature leaf senescence resistant trait further showed that the segregation in the F2 fit a 3:1 ratio inheritance pattern, with resistance being dominant. The backcross of F1 to the susceptible parent produced a 1:1 ratio, confirming that cotton premature leaf senescence resistant trait was from a single gene. 7A novel PIK3CD C896T mutation detected in bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss using next generation sequencing:An indication of primary immunodeficiency显示文摘Objective: To investigate immune-related genetic background in bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSNHL).Case report and methods: The case is a 45-year-old man presenting with a 7-year history of bilateral profound SSNHL. Blood biochemical testing demonstrated increased levels of total cholesterol(5.88 mmol/L). Tests for hepatitis B showed a positive antibody against the hepatitis B core antigen. Complement C3 was below the normal value, and complement C4 and Ig G were in the lower range of normal values. CT images showed a normal inner ear and vestibular aqueduct but round window membranous ossification on both sides. A total number of 232 immuneassociated genes were sequenced using the next generation sequencing technique.Results: Mutations were detected in 5 genes, including the phosphoinositide 3-kinase catalytic subunit delta(PIK3CD), caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 9(CARD9), complement factor H-related(CFHR2), immunoglobulin lambda-like polypeptide 1 Protein(IGLL1),and transmembrane channel-like gene family 8(TMC8). In the PIK3 CD gene, a C896 T substitute in exon 7 was detected. 8Development and validation of prognostic nomogram based on log odds of positive lymph nodes for patients with gastric signet ring cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective: Our aims were to establish novel nomogram models, which directly targeted patients with signet ring cell carcinoma(SRC), for individualized prediction of overall survival(OS) rate and cancer-specific survival(CSS).Methods: We selected 1,365 SRC patients diagnosed from 2010 to 2015 from Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results(SEER) database, and then randomly partitioned them into a training cohort and a validation cohort.Independent predicted indicators, which were identified by using univariate testing and multivariate analyses, were used to construct our prognostic nomogram models. Three methods, Harrell concordance index(C-index), receiver operating characteristics(ROC) curve and calibration curve, were used to assess the ability of discrimination and predictive accuracy. Integrated discrimination improvement(IDI), net reclassification improvement(NRI) and decision curve analysis(DCA) were used to assess clinical utility of our nomogram models.Results: Six independent predicted indicators, age, race, log odds of positive lymph nodes(LODDS), T stage, M stage and tumor size, were associated with OS rate. Nevertheless, only five independent predicted indicators were associated with CSS except race. The developed nomograms based on those independent predicted factors showed reliable discrimination. C-index of our nomogram for OS and CSS was 0.760 and 0.763, which were higher than American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) 8 th edition tumor-node-metastasis(TNM) staging system(0.734 and 0.741, respectively). C-index of validation cohort for OS was 0.757 and for CSS was 0.773. The calibration curves also performed good consistency. IDI, NRI and DCA showed the nomograms for both OS and CSS had a comparable clinical utility than the TNM staging system.Conclusions: The novel nomogram models based on LODDS provided satisfying predictive ability of SRC both in OS and CSS than AJCC 8 th edition TNM staging system alone.Zijie Xu Jing Jing Guiliang Ma 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,6:2

15An in vivo Transient Expression System Can Be Applied for Rapid and Effective Selection of Artificial MicroRNA Constructs for Plant Stable Genetic Transformation显示文摘The utility of artificial microRNAs(amiRNAs) to induce loss of gene function has been reported for many plant species,but expression efficiency of the different amiRNA constructs in different transgenic plants was less predictable,In this study,expressions of amiRNAs through the gene backbone of Arabidopsis miR168a were examined by both Agrobacterium-mediated transient expression and stable plant genetic transformation.A corresponding trend in expression of amiRNAs by the same amiRNA constructs between the transient and the stable expression systems was observed in the experiments.Plant genetic transformation of the constructs that were highly expressible in amiRNAs in the transient agro-infiltration assays resulted in generation of transgenic lines with high level of amiRNAs.This provides a simple method for rapid and effective selection of amiRNA constructs used for a time-consuming genetic transformation in plants.Basdeo Bhagwat Ming Chi Li Su Haifeng Tang Guiliang Tang Yu Xiang 2013Journal of Genetics and Genomics2013,40,5:1

19Purifying chylous plasma by precluding triglyceride via carboxylated polyethersulfone microfiltration membrane显示文摘Precluding the excessive lipoproteins from plasma rapidly and effectively is highly needed for biomedical detection and reducing plasma product scrap in blood donation stations.The current centrifugation procedure is high-cost and time-consuming.Herein,we fabricated an anionic microfiltration polyethersulfone(PES)membrane modified by interface swelling and implanting of acrylic acid(AA)for screening out large particle lipoprotein chylomicron(CM)and adsorbing cationic very low-density lipoproteins(VLDL).To improve the separation efficiency,a two-stage filtration through carboxylated polyethersulfone microfiltration membranes with the mean pore size of 0.45 and 0.22μm respectively were conducted.Attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared technique(ATR-FTIR),water contact angle(WCA),Zeta potential and scanning electron microscope(SEM)were employed to characterize the modified membrane.To test the effectiveness of this membrane,plasma flux and concentration variation of plasma components were examined to study the purification effectiveness.Furthermore,the hemocompatibility of modified membranes was tested to confirm its practicability on bloodcontacting materials.The carboxylated polyethersulfone microfiltration membrane shows its promising potential application to purify chylous plasma.Yang Liu Qiu Han Guiliang Li Haibo Lin Fu Liu Gang Deng Dingfeng Lv Weijie Sun 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,9:1
