1Ultrafine Grain Tungsten Heavy Alloys with Excellent Performance Prepared by Spark Plasma Sintering显示文摘Ultrafine grain tungsten heavy alloys (WHAs) were successfully produced from the nano-crystalline powders using spark plasma sintering.The present study mainly discussed the effects of sintering temperature on the density,microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloys.The relative density of 98.12% was obtained at 1 050 ℃,and the tungsten grain size is about 871 nm.At 1 000 ℃-1 200 ℃,the mechanical properties of the alloys tend to first rise and then goes down.After SPS,the alloy exhibits improved hardness (84.3 HRA at 1 050 ℃) and bending strength (987.16 MPa at 1 100 ℃),due to the ultrafine-grained microstructure.The fracture mode after bending tests is mainly characterized as intergranular or intragranular fracture of W grains,interfacial debonding of W grains-binding phase and ductile tearing of binding phase.The EDS analysis reveals a certain proportion of solid solution between W and Ni-Fe binding phase.The good mechanical properties of the alloys can be attributed to grain refinement and solid solution strengthening.ZHANG Jingang WANG Weimin JI Wei HE Qianglong WANG Aiyang TAN Lin YANG Kai 2020Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2020,35,2:2
2Refinement of TiB_(2)Powders with High-speed Planetary Mill and Its Effect on TiB_(2)Sinterability显示文摘Titanium diboride ceramic was produced via spark plasma sintering(SPS)using finer TiB_(2)powder made by high-speed planetary ball milling.The effects of ball milling parameters on the composites and particle size of TiB_(2)powder were investigated.It was shown that the average particle size of TiB_(2)powder decreased from 5.8 to 1.59μm and the wear rate of WC balls was 1.58 wt%,when the ball-to-powder weight ratio(BPR),the rotary speed and milling time and were 10:1,600 rpm and 20 min,respectively.The content of WC in TiB_(2)powder can be limited below 4.58 vol%by optimizing the milling conditions.The sintering temperature of TiB_(2)powder milled can be decreased obviously,and the mechanical properties are evidently improved and the microstructure becomes more homogeneous when the powder of TiB_(2)becomes finer.The relative density,hardness,bending strength,and fracture toughness of the TiB_(2)ceramic fabricated at 1700℃reach the optimal values,which are 98.13%,19.14 GPa,756 MPa,and 5.71 MPa·m~(1/2),respectively.The decrease of TiB_(2)particle size and the introduction of WC are the potential reasons for the improvement of TiB_(2)ceramic performance.黄啟伟 AI Ruomeng BAI Wenhui HE Qianglong WANG Aiyang HU Lanxin 王为民 2021Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,3:1
3Optimizing polymer aggregation and blend morphology for boosting the photovoltaic performance of polymer solar cells via a random terpolymerization strategy显示文摘Compared to regular conjugated polymers,the random conjugated terpolymers are usually not beneficial to achieve highly efficient non-fullerene(NF)-based polymer solar cells(PSCs)due to their disordered chemical structures.In this work,we report two random terpolymer donors(PBNB80 and PBNB50)by tuning the molar ratio of electron-accepting units of 1,3-di(thiophen-2-yl)naphtho[2,3-c]thiophene-4,9-dione(NTD)and 1,3-bis(4-chlorothiophen-2-yl)-4 H,8 H-benzo[1,2-c:4,5-c’]dithiophene-4,8-dione(ClBDD),at the same time,the parent polymers(PBNB100 and PBNB00)are also compared to study.These four polymer donors exhibit similar optical bandgaps and gradually deepen highest occupied molecular orbital levels.Importantly,aggregation and self-organization properties of the random terpolymer donors are optimized,which result in the better morphology and crystal coherence length after blending with NF acceptor of BO-4 Cl.Particularly,a PBNB80:BO-4 Cl blend forms an optimal nanoscale phase-separation morphology,thereby producing an outstanding power conversion efficiency of 16.0%,which is much higher than those(12.8%and 10.7%)of their parent binary polymer donor-based devices.This work demonstrates that rational using terpolymerization strategy to prepare random terpolymer is a very important method to achieve highly efficient NF-PSCs.Tao Zhang Cunbin An Qianglong Lv Jinzhao Qin Yong Cui Zhong Zheng Bowei Xu Shaoqing Zhang Jianqi Zhang Chang He Jianhui Hou 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8:1
4A hierarchical vascularized engineered bone inspired by intramembranous ossification for mandibular regeneration显示文摘Mandibular defects caused by injuries,tumors,and infections are common and can severely affect mandibular function and the patient's appearance.However,mandible reconstruction with a mandibular bionic structure remains challenging.Inspired by the process of intramembranous ossification in mandibular development,a hierarchical vascularized engineered bone consisting of angiogenesis and osteogenesis modules has been produced.Moreover,the hierarchical vascular network and bone structure generated by these hierarchical vascularized engineered bone modules match the particular anatomical structure of the mandible.The ultra-tough polyion complex has been used as the basic scaffold for hierarchical vascularized engineered bone for ensuring better reconstruction of mandible function.According to the results of in vivo experiments,the bone regenerated using hierarchical vascularized engineered bone is similar to the natural mandibular bone in terms of morphology and genomics.The sonic hedgehog signaling pathway is specifically activated in hierarchical vascularized engineered bone,indicating that the new bone in hierarchical vascularized engineered bone underwent a process of intramembranous ossification identical to that of mandible development.Thus,hierarchical vascularized engineered bone has a high potential for clinical application in mandibular defect reconstruction.Moreover,the concept based on developmental processes and bionic structures provides an effective strategy for tissue regeneration.Xin Ye Jianxiang He Shaolong Wang Qianglong Han Dongqi You Bin Feng Feiya Zhao Jun Yin Mengfei Yu Huiming Wang Huayong Yang 2022International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,3:1
5Modulation of terminal alkyl chain length enables over 15% efficiency in small-molecule organic solar cells显示文摘In small-molecule organic solar cells(SM-OSCs),it remains a big challenge to obtain favorable bulk heterojunction morphology by donor material design.Herein,we design and synthesize three small-molecule donors BPF3T-C4,BPF3T-C6 and BPF3T-C8,with different terminal alkyl chains.Although they possess similar absorption profiles and molecular energy levels,their crystallinity gradually decreases with the chain length of the terminal alkyl chains.After blending with an electron acceptor of BO-4Cl,the crystallinity is suppressed and the packing orientations of these donors changed from edge-on to face-on.Simultaneously,the crystallinity of BO-4Cl is gradually weakened with the chain length of the terminal alkyl chain of donor materials.Finally,The BPF3T-C6 with moderate crystallinity exhibits the best phase-separation morphology among these blend films.As a result,the BPF3T-C6:BO-4Cl-based SM-OSC shows an impressive power conversion efficiency of 15.1%.Qianglong Lv Cunbin An Tao Zhang Jianqi Zhang Shaoqing Zhang Pengxin Zhou Chang He Jianhui Hou 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,7:0
6Fabrication and Property of SiC Ceramic with Large Thickness/Diameter Ratios显示文摘Silicon carbide ceramics with different thicknesses/diameter ratios were prepared by using ultra-fine silicon carbide powder with the sintering additives of 1.0 wt% boron and 1.5 wt% carbon. The influence of thickness/diameter ratio on the microstructure and density of SiC ceramics was investigated in detail. The experimental results show that the addition of boron and carbon sintering aids can promote the densification process of SiC ceramic, leading to the low sintering temperature and improve mechanical properties. At 1950 ℃, SiC ceramic with a density of 99% exhibits Young's modulus, hardness, and flexural strength of 476 MPa, 28.3 GPa, and 334 MPa, respectively. It is found that long holding time has a positive effect on the uniformity of the microstructure and density distribution of SiC ceramics with large thickness/diameter ratios. 7Fabrication of BiVO4:Effect of Structure and Morphology on Photocatalytic Activity and Its Methylene Blue Decomposition Mechanism显示文摘BiVO_4 photocatalysts were synthesized by a surfactant free hydrothermal method without any further treatments,and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-vis DRS),Raman spectroscopy,and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) surface area techniques.The photocatalytic activity was evaluated for the degradation of the methylene blue(MB) under visible light irradiation.Seen from the structural and morphological characterization,it is stated that the obtained samples present monoclinic phase,and the pH value has significant influence on the morphologies.The enhanced photocatalytic performance was associated with its crystallinity,unique morphology,band gap energy,BET specific surface area,surface charge and adsorption capacity.The recycle experiments results show that the BiVO_4 photocatalysts have excellent photo-stability,and we deduced a possible mechanism by examining the effects of the active species involved in the photocatalytic process for MB photocatalytic degradation.郭敏娜 he qianglong wang wenjie wu jie 王为民 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4:0
