| 1 | Arterial relaxation is coupled to inhibition of mitochondrial fission in arterial smooth muscle cells:comparison of vasorelaxant effects of verapamil and phentolamine显示文摘Mitochondria are morphologically dynamic organelles which undergo fission and fusion processes. Our previous study found that arterial constriction was always accompanied by increased mitochondrial fission in smooth muscle cells, whereas inhibition of mitochondrial fission in smooth muscle cells was associated with arterial relaxation. Here, we used the typical vasorelaxants, verapamil and phentolamine, to further confirm the coupling between arterial constriction and mitochondrial fission in rat aorta. Results showed that phentolamine but not verapamil induced vasorelaxation in phenylephrine(PE)-induced rat thoracic aorta constriction. Verapamil, but not phentolamine, induced vasorelaxation in high K^+(KPSS)-induced rat thoracic aorta constriction. Pre-treatment with phentolamine prevented PEbut not KPSS-induced aorta constriction and pre-treatment with verapamil prevented both PE-and KPSSinduced aorta constriction. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) results showed that verapamil but not phentolamine inhibited KPSS-induced excessive mitochondrial fission in aortic smooth muscle cells,and verapamil prevented both PE-and KPSS-induced excessive mitochondrial fission in aortic smoothmuscle cells. Verapamil inhibited KPSS-induced excessive mitochondrial fission in cultured vascular smooth muscle cells(A10). | 2 | Mitochondrial uncoupler triclosan induces vasorelaxation of rat arteries显示文摘Our previous studies found that mitochondrial uncouplers induced vasodilation. Triclosan, the broad spectrum antibacterial agent, is the active ingredient in soaps and toothpastes. It was reported that triclosan induced mitochondrial uncoupling, so we aim to investigate the effects of triclosan on vascular function of rat mesenteric arteries and aorta. The isometric tension of rat mesenteric artery and thoracic aorta was recorded by multi-wire myograph system. The cytosolic [Ca^(2+)]_i, mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mitoROS), and mitochondrial membrane potential of smooth muscle cells(A10 cells) were measured using laser scanning confocal microscopy. Triclosan treatment relaxed phenylephrine(PE)-and high K^(+)(KPSS)-induced constriction, and pre-treatment with triclosan inhibited PE-and KPSS-induced constriction of rat mesenteric arteries. In rat thoracic aorta, triclosan also relaxed PE-and KPSS-induced constriction. Triclosan induces vasorelaxation without involving KATPchannel activation in smooth muscle cells of arteries.Triclosan treatment increased cytosolic [Ca^(2+)]_i, mitochondrial ROS production and depolarized mitochondrial membrane potential in A10 cells. In conclusion, triclosan induces mitochondrial uncoupling in vascular smooth muscle cells and relaxes the constricted rat mesenteric arteries and aorta of rats. | 3 | Outstanding Humidity Chemiresistors Based on Imine-Linked Covalent Organic Framework Films for Human Respiration Monitoring显示文摘Human metabolite moisture detection is important in health monitoring and non-invasive diagnosis.However,ultra-sensitive quantitative extraction of respiration information in real-time remains a great challenge.Herein,chemiresistors based on imine-linked covalent organic framework(COF)films with dual-active sites are fabricated to address this issue,which demonstrates an amplified humidity-sensing signal performance.By regulation of monomers and functional groups,these COF films can be pre-engineered to achieve high response,wide detection range,fast response,and recovery time.Under the condition of relative humidity ranging from 13 to 98%,the COFTAPB-DHTA film-based humidity sensor exhibits outstanding humidity sensing perfor-mance with an expanded response value of 390 times.Furthermore,the response values of the COF film-based sensor are highly linear to the relative humidity in the range below 60%,reflecting a quantitative sensing mechanism at the molecular level.Based on the dual-site adsorption of the(-C=N-)and(C-N)stretching vibrations,the revers-ible tautomerism induced by hydrogen bonding with water molecules is demonstrated to be the main intrinsic mechanism for this effective humidity detection.In addition,the synthesized COF films can be further exploited to effectively detect human nasal and oral breathing as well as fabric permeability,which will inspire novel designs for effective humidity-detection devices. | Xiyu Chen Lingwei Kong Jaafar Abdul-Aziz Mehrez Chao Fan Wenjing Quan Yongwei Zhang Min Zeng Jianhua Yang Nantao Hu Yanjie Su Hao Wei Zhi Yang | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9: | 2 |
| 4 | Detection of QTL and QTN and candidate genes for oil content in soybean using a combination of four-way-RIL and germplasm populations显示文摘Soybean is a source of edible oil for humans and provides a third of the vegetable oil consumed worldwide.Increasing seed oil content in seeds is thus a key objective in soybean breeding.In the present study,a four-way recombinant inbred line(FW-RIL)population comprising 144 lines,planted in 10 environments,and a germplasm panel of 455 accessions,planted in two environments,were used to collect oil-content phenotypes.First,59 quantitative trait loci(QTL)were detected in the FW-RIL population by inclusive complete interval mapping on a linkage map consisting of 2232 single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers.Also in the FW-RILs,44 quantitative trait nucleotides(QTNs)were detected by association analysis using 109,676 SNP markers and fivemethods of multi-locus genome-wide association study.Second,77 QTN were detected by association analysis in the germplasm panel using 63,306 markers.Comparison of the QTL and QTN suggested four QTN controlling oil content.Pathway analysis was performed on genes in attenuation regions of these four QTN,and two candidate genes involved in the synthesis or metabolism of soybean oil were identified.These findings provide useful information about the genetics of oil content and may contribute to its genetic improvement by marker-assisted selection. | Xiyu Li Kaixin Zhang Xu Sun Shanshan Huang Jiajing Wang Chang Yang Mahfishan Siyal Chao Wang Chunlan Guo Xiping Hu Wen-Xia Li Hailong Ning | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,5: | 2 |
| 5 | Decentralization,spatial disequilibrium,and restructuring of coastal tourist destination-Empirical research from Sanya,China显示文摘The objective of this article is to speculate on resort restructuring in the market-oriented reform process in China.Previous studies show that spatial disequilibrium was aggravated by decentralization,which leads to the difference in tourism policy and investment,public goods,and service;a profound analytical framework is much needed for further empirical studies.This article has reviewed the relevant studies on links between decentralization and restructuring,spatial influences of decentralization on tourism,based on which we put forward the theoretical framework of resort spatial restructuring from the view of political economy analysis,then we elaborate on and discuss it based on the example of Sanya,China.In short,the article suggests that decentralization of fiscal responsibilities and institutional power contributes to the spatial disequilibrium of tourism industrial structure,land use,public infrastructure and service facilities,and to community inequality.Interests of government,investors,and community should be comprehensively coordinated in the resort spatial restructuring process from three aspects:restructuring government,optimizing space structure,and tourism industry.Furthermore,we argue that resort restructuring in the context of Sanya requires coordination of various interest groups through four ways:restructure the government power under administrative division adjustment,optimizing spatial structure,expanding industrial space to diversified tourism products,and building resort management services organization.Finally,we discussed some policy requirements for resort sustainable development. | Hu Yu Tian Chen Kaiyong Wang Xiyue Zhang Fubiao Zhu | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2014,12,1: | 1 |
| 6 | Preliminary surgical outcomes of laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with transrectal specimen extraction:a propensity score matching study of 120 cases(with video)显示文摘Background:Compared with conventional laparoscopic surgery,natural orifice specimen extraction surgery(NOSES)has many advantages.Laparoscopic right colectomy with transvaginal specimen extraction has been reported,but the safety and feasibility of transrectal specimen extraction in male patients with ascending colon cancer remain to be verified.This study aimed to preliminarily evaluate the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with transrectal specimen extraction.Methods:The study was conducted at a single tertiary medical center in China.A total of 494 consecutive patients who underwent laparoscopic right colectomy between September 2018 and September 2020 were included.Transrectal specimen extraction was performed in 40 male patients(the NOSES group).Patients in the NOSES group were matched to the conventional laparoscopic group using propensity score matching at a 1:2 ratio.Short-term and long-term outcomes between the two groups were compared and evaluated.Results:Forty patients in the NOSES group and 80 patients in the conventional laparoscopic group were matched for analysis.Baseline characteristics were balanced after propensity matching.The operative features,including operating time,intraoperative bleeding,and the number of harvested lymph nodes,were statistically comparable in both groups.In terms of post-operative recovery,patients in the NOSES group showed preferable outcomes,as evidenced by less post-operative pain and faster return to flatus,defecation,and discharge.The post-operative complications rate,according to the Clavien–Dindo classification system,was similar in both groups.No differences in overall survival or disease-free survival were observed between the two groups.Conclusions:Laparoscopic right colectomy with transrectal specimen extraction is oncologically safe.Compared with conventional laparoscopic right colectomy,it can reduce post-operative pain,accelerate post-operative recovery,shorten the hospital stay,and achieve better cosmetic effect. | Mingguang Zhang Zheng Liu Peng Sun Xiyue Hu Haitao Zhou Zheng Jiang Jianqiang Tang Qian Liu Xishan Wang | 2023 | Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1: | 0 |
