| 1 | Fire and Corrosion Resistances of Intumescent Nano-coating Containing Nano-SiO_2 in Salt Spray Condition显示文摘The nano-concentrates and flame retardant nano-coating were prepared in thhis study. The effect of nano-SiO2 on the corrosion resistance and fire resistance of ammonium polyphosphate-pentaerythritol-melamine (APP-PER-MEL) coating was investigated by differential thermal analysis (DTA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), effective thermal conductivity (λ/d), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and fire protection test. The chemical action and endothermic effect of ammonium polyphosphate, pentaerythritol and melamine in traditional flame retardant coating were damaged by salt spray condition, whereas the flame-retardant additives in the nano-coating demonstrated the good chemical interaction in salt spray condition. | 2 | Deformation and fracture mechanisms of an annealing-tailored 'bimodal' grain-structured Mg alloy显示文摘Through investigating and comparing the mechanical behavior of an as-rolled Mg-3%Al-1%Zn(wt%)alloy before and after annealing treatments,it was revealed that the formation of annealing-tailored bimodal grain structure ensured the 330℃/4 h samples having a good combination of tensile strength and plasticity.Failure analysis demonstrated that for the as-rolled and 330℃/1 h samples with fine grain structure,their plastic deformation was mainly attributed to basal slips,whereas the deformation mechanism in the bimodal grain-structured samples was dominated by basal slips in fine grains and twinning in coarse grains.For the 330℃/8 h samples with coarse grain structure,high densities of twins were activated.Meanwhile,basal slips occurred in the twinned and un-twinned areas of coarse grains and could pass through twin boundaries.For differently treated samples,cracking preferentially occurred along slip bands,resulting in their transgranular fractures. | Baojie Wang Daokui Xu Liyuan Sheng Enhou Han Jie Sun | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,11: | 8 |
| 3 | Flaking and degradation of polyurethane coatings after 2 years of outdoor exposure in Lhasa显示文摘The exposure of a high gloss polyurethane aircraft topcoat system with polyurethane intermediate coating and epoxy primer to strong ultraviolet radiation in Lhasa,Tibet was studied by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) ,atomic force microscopy(AFM) ,attenuated total reflectance Fourier-transform infrared(ATR-FTIR) ,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) .Micro-flakes were found to form on the topcoat surface after exposure and the size and quantity of the flakes increased with the increase of the exposure time.The magnitude of micro-bulges and the topcoat roughness increased after a long exposure to sunlight. | 5 | Effects of trace Gd concentration on texture and mechanical properties of hot-rolled Mg-2Zn-xGd sheets显示文摘The effects of Gd concentration(0.1,0.3,0.7 wt%)on the microstructure,texture and mechanical properties of rolled and annealed Mg-2Zn-xGd sheets have been investigated aiming to develop low cost and high ductile Mg-Zn-Gd sheets.Dynamic recrystallization,static recrystallization and grain growth during hot rolling process and annealing process were delayed with increase of Gd concentration,leading to fine grain microstructure.The rolled 0.1 wt%Gd sheet showed strong basal texture which remained stable after annealing process and exhibited medium elongation of about 25%.In contrast,the rolled 0.3 wt%Gd sheet had weak basal texture which transformed to non-basal texture with double peaks tilted about±48°to the transverse direction due to the static recrystallization during annealing process.Consequently,the annealed sheets exhibited higher elongation of 40%along the rolling direction and 50%along the transverse direction due to the existence of non-basal texture.It is suggested that the minimum effective concentration for texture randomization in the Mg-2Zn-xGd alloy is about 0.3 wt%. | Hong Yan Rongshi Chen Nan Zheng Jun Luo Shigeharu Kamado Enhou Han | 2013 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2013,1,1: | 7 |

| 7 | Effect of ZnO nanoparticles on anti-aging properties of polyurethane coating显示文摘Polyurethane nano-coatings were prepared by adding nano-concentrates with nanometer zinc oxide (nano-ZnO) to polyurethane coating. The dispersion state of nanoparticles was observed by TEM images. SEM observation and FT-IR analysis indicate that the nano-coating with 1% ZnO nanoparticles can retain better morphological structure than the nano-coating with 5% ZnO nanoparticles after 500 h accelerated aging. It is known from XPS analysis that the anti-oxidation properties of polyurethane coating are enhanced by 1% ZnO nanoparticles through the nano-network and destroyed by 5% ZnO nanoparticles due to the strong light catalysis. | 9 | Product/metal ratio (PMR):A novel criterion for the evaluation of electrolytes on micro-arc oxidation (MAO) of Mg and its alloys显示文摘Product/metal ratio (PMR) was introduced as a novel criterion for the evaluation of electrolytes on micro-arc oxidation (MAO) of Mg and its alloys. The criterion initially sprang from Pilling-Bedworth ratio (PBR), focused on the roles of electrolytes for the compactness of the fabricated coatings, and took attention on properties of reactants/products during MAO. Meanwhile, based on our experiments as well as the results from literatures, the effects of electrolyte additives on morphologies and com-positions of the fabricated MAO coatings of Mg alloys were exploited for verification and supplement of the initial criterion. In combination of the initial PMR criterion and experimental verification, PMR could be represented by special mode (PMRs=Voxide products/Valloy substrates) and general mode (PMRg= PMRs+ PMRd). The ideal PMRs should be between 1 and 2, while PMRd is related to the coating deposition during MAO. PMRd is a supplement to PMRs when the effect of the overlaying prop-erty (O) of the coatings and the effective deposition (D) of electrolyte composites are considered (PMRd=f(O, D). O is related to the melting point (MP) and boiling point (BP) of the MAO products. EIS results were compared with gravimetric measurements on the freestanding films. The amount of water absorption showed great discrepancy between the two methods. The diffusion coeffcient in the polyurethane film with P/B=30% was the smallest among those filled with nano-TiO2 pigments. The dielectric constant ε of the polyurethane varnish film obtained from the initial capacitance was in the range of typical values of polymers. | 16 | Superplasticity of Mg-5.8Zn-1Y-Zr alloy sheet fabricated by combination of extrusion and hot-rolling processes显示文摘Superplastic behaviors of quasicrystal phase containing Mg-5.8Zn-1Y-0.48Zr alloy sheets fabricated by combination of extrusion and hot-rolling processes have been investigated at temperature ranging from 623 to 753 K and at the strain rates ranging from 10-4 to 10-2 s-1 by uniaxial tensile tests. An excellent superplasticity with the maximum elongation to failure of 1020% was obtained at 753 K and the strain rate of 1.04×10-3 s-1 and its strain rate sensitivity, m, is as high as up to 0.75. The microstructure was stable during superplastic deformation due to the uniformly distributed fine quasicrystal particles. In addition, micro-cavities and their coalescences were observed in the superplastic deformation of the ZW61 magnesium alloy. Grain boundary sliding (GBS) was considered to be the main deformation mechanism during the superplastic deformation.
