1Treatment of multiple sclerosis by transplantation of neural stem cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells显示文摘Multiple sclerosis(MS) is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system(CNS), with focal T lymphocytic infiltration and damage of myelin and axons. The underlying mechanism of pathogenesis remains unclear and there are currently no effective treatments. The development of neural stem cell(NSC) transplantation provides a promising strategy to treat neurodegenerative disease. However, the limited availability of NSCs prevents their application in neural disease therapy. In this study, we generated NSCs from induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs) and transplanted these cells into mice with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE), a model of MS. The results showed that transplantation of iPSC-derived NSCs dramatically reduced T cell infiltration and ameliorated white matter damage in the treated EAE mice. Correspondingly, the disease symptom score was greatly decreased, and motor ability was dramatically rescued in the iPSC-NSC-treated EAE mice, indicating the effectiveness of using iPSC-NSCs to treat MS. 2A Novel Orthogonal LoRa Multiple Access Algorithm for Satellite Internet of Things显示文摘In recent years,LoRa has been extensively researched in the satellite Internet of Things(IoT).However,the multiple access technology of LoRa is still one of the bottlenecks of satellite IoT.To improve the multiple access performance of LoRa satellite IoT,based on the orthogonality of LoRa symbols in the fractional domain,this paper proposes a low complexity Orthogonal LoRa Multiple Access(OLMA)algorithm for multiple LoRa users occupying the same frequency bandwidth.The algorithm introduces the address code to divide the fractional bandwidth into multiple parts,and the OLMA users with different address codes occupy different parts to transmit the information code,thus avoiding mutual interference caused by collisions in the same frequency bandwidth.The multiple access capability of OLMA can be flexibly configured only by simply adjusting the length of the address code according to the actual application requirements of data transmission.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the OLMA algorithm can greatly improve the multiple access capability and the total transmission bit rate of LoRa IoT without changing the existing LoRa modulation parameters and process.Chengwen Zhang Liankai Wang Libin Jiao Shipeng Wang Jun Shi Jia Yue 2022China Communications2022,19,3:4

5PKD3 promotes metastasis and growth of oral squamous cell carcinoma through positive feedback regulation with PD-L1 and activation of ERK-STAT1/3-EMT signalling显示文摘Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)has a high incidence of metastasis.Tumour immunotherapy targeting PD-L1 or PD-1 has been revolutionary;however,only a few patients with OSCC respond to this treatment.Therefore,it is essential to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the growth and metastasis of OSCC.In this study,we analysed the expression levels of protein kinase D3(PKD3)and PD-L1 and their correlation with the expression of mesenchymal and epithelial markers.We found that the expression of PKD3 and PD-L1 in OSCC cells and tissues was significantly increased,which correlated positively with that of mesenchymal markers but negatively with that of epithelial markers.Silencing PKD3 significantly inhibited the growth,metastasis and invasion of OSCC cells,while its overexpression promoted these processes.Our further analyses revealed that there was positive feedback regulation between PKD3 and PD-L1,which could drive EMT of OSCC cells via the ERK/STAT1/3 pathway,thereby promoting tumour growth and metastasis.Furthermore,silencing PKD3 significantly inhibited the expression of PD-L1,and lymph node metastasis of OSCC was investigated with a mouse footpad xenograft model.Thus,our findings provide a theoretical basis for targeting PKD3 as an alternative method to block EMT for regulating PD-L1 expression and inhibiting OSCC growth and metastasis.Bomiao Cui Jiao Chen Min Luo Yiying Liu Hongli Chen Die Lü Liwei Wang Yingzhu Kang Yun Feng Libin Huang Ping Zhang 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,1:1
6Cooperative Proactive Eavesdropping over Two-Hop Suspicious Communication Based on Reinforcement Learning显示文摘Legitimate surveillance has attracted more and more concern,and effective proactive intervention can eavesdrop the illegitimate information.In this paper,we propose legitimate eavesdropping over a two-hop suspicious communication link by two full-duplex legitimate monitors(LMs)based on multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient(MADDPG)algorithm in two phases.In phase 1,the suspicious transmitter sends information to the suspicious assistant relay,and the assistant relay decodes and forwards the received message to the suspicious receiver in phase 2.Meanwhile,two LMs cooperatively emit jamming to suspicious relay and receiver during each phase.Particularly,each LM is considered to be an energy-limited device,and eavesdropping is a long-term process,so we adopt expected eavesdropping energy efficiency(EEE)over a period of time to evaluate eavesdropping performance.However,for two LMs,how to cooperatively make jamming power decision at each hop in a dynamic environment is a huge challenge.Therefore,MADDPG algorithm,as a multi-agent reinforcement learning approach with the advantage of dynamic decision-making,is utilized to solve the issue of jamming power decision for each LM.In the simulation,the results show that our proposed cooperative jamming scheme can obtain higher expected EEE.Yaxin Yang Baogang Li Shue Zhang Wei Zhao Libin Jiao 2021Journal of Communications and Information Networks2021,6,2:1
7Efficiently Counting Affine Roots of Mixed Trigonometric Polynomial Systems显示文摘Estimating the number of isolated roots of a polynomial system is not only a fundamental study theme in algebraic geometry but also an important subproblem of homotopy methods for solving polynomial systems. For the mixed trigonometric polynomial systems, which are more general than polynomial systems and rather frequently occur in many applications, the classical B′ezout number and the multihomogeneous B′ezout number are the best known upper bounds on the number of isolated roots. However, for the deficient mixed trigonometric polynomial systems, these two upper bounds are far greater than the actual number of isolated roots. The BKK bound is known as the most accurate upper bound on the number of isolated roots of a polynomial system. However, the extension of the definition of the BKK bound allowing it to treat mixed trigonometric polynomial systems is very difficult due to the existence of sine and cosine functions. In this paper, two new upper bounds on the number of isolated roots of a mixed trigonometric polynomial system are defined and the corresponding efficient algorithms for calculating them are presented. Numerical tests are also given to show the accuracy of these two definitions, and numerically prove they can provide tighter upper bounds on the number of isolated roots of a mixed trigonometric polynomial system than the existing upper bounds, and also the authors compare the computational time for calculating these two upper bounds.JIAO Libin DONG Bo YU Bo 2017Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2017,30,4:0
