| 2 | Effects of cold metal transfer mode on the reaction layer of wire and arc additive-manufactured Ti-6Al-4V/Al-6.25Cu dissimilar alloys显示文摘Components of Ti and Al dissimilar alloys were obtained by wire and arc additive manufacturing using two cold metal transfer(CMT)modes.Direct current CMT(DC-CMT)mode was used for Ti alloy deposition,and DC-CMT or CMT plus pulse(CMT+P)mode was used for the Al alloy deposition.During deposition of the first Al alloy layer,little and a significant amount of Ti alloy were melted using DC-CMT and CMT+P mode,respectively.TiAl_(3)formed in the reaction layer when DC-CMT mode was used,while TiAl_(3),TiAl,and Ti3Al formed in the reaction layer when CMT+P mode was used.Compared to using DC-CMT mode,more cracks occurred when using CMT+P.The nanohardness of the reaction layer was between that of the Al and Ti alloys,irrespective of the CMT modes.The average tensile strengths of the samples using DC-CMT and CMT+P mode were 108 MPa and 24 MPa,respectively.DC-CMT mode was more suitable for the wire and arc additive manufacturing of Ti/Al dissimilar alloys. | Yinbao Tian Junqi Shen Shengsun Hu Jian Gou Yan Cui | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15: | 4 |
| 3 | Mutations in TP53, ZNF750, and RB1 typify ocular sebaceous carcinoma显示文摘Sebaceous carcinoma (SC) of the eyelid is a rare but aggressive malignancy, accounting for 3%—5% of eyelid malignancies in the United States, and up to 35% in Asian populations (Deprez and Uffer, 2009;Xu et al., 2018;Yu et al., 2018). It is frequently mistaken for benign conditions or less aggressive malignancies such as basal cell carcinoma (Muqit et al., 2013), and the effects of delay in diagnosis can be devastating to patients. Aggressive surgical resection is the primary treatment of these tumors and often invoIves orbital exenteration with significant morbidity to patients, and these tumors frequently recur, with local recurrence rate as high as 18%. Importantly, this disease has a high metastatic potential, and there are very limited data guiding systemic treatment options;ultimately 6%—18% of patients diagnosed with SC of the eyelid succumb to metastatic disease (Zurcher et al., 1998;Shields et al., 2004). | Yongyang Bao J. | 4 | Simulation and experimental verification of off-axis fiber Bragg grating bending sensor with high refractive index modulation显示文摘Off-axis FBG simulations were performed in this paper using a finite element method in conjunction with the conformal mapping technique to study the bending sensing characteristics of the off-axis FBG with high index modulation.The refractive index(RI)increase of the grating region is taken into consideration for the mode field simulation.The influences of high RI increase and the offset distance of the grating on the bending sensitivity were analyzed.Off-axis FBGs with different offset distances were fabricated using femtosecond laser with phase mask technique in standard single-mode fiber.The simulation results were verified by the experiment.A bending sensitivity of 0.055 d B/m^(-1) was achieved with an offset distance of 4μm.The simulation and experiment results suggest that the grating offset distance has a greater influence on the sensitivity of the off-axis FBG with high RI modulation than that with low RI modulation.The proposed sensor structure and simulation results can provide suggestion for the design and processing of off-axis FBG bending sensors. | CUI Wei ZHOU Yanfang YAN Zhonghua GUO Junqi YUE Yiting CHEN Hao | 2022 | Optoelectronics Letters2022,18,4: | 1 |
| 5 | Phase-sensitive manipulation of squeezed state by a degenerate optical parametric amplifier inside coupled optical resonators显示文摘In this paper, we investigate the quantum fluctuations of subharmonic reflected field from a triple-resonant degenerate optical parametric amplifier(OPA) inside coupled optical resonators, which is driven by the squeezed beam at signal frequency. By controlling the relative phase between the pump beam and the injected signal beam, we can see the quantum fluctuation in the phase direction and amplitude direction due to the parametric down-conversion process in the cavity. Thus, the phase sensitive operation of the compression field is realized due to the quantum interference between the harmonic field of the down converter of OPA and the inner field of the coupled optical resonator. We verified the quantum coherent phenomena of OPA in coupled optical resonators and phase-sensitive manipulations of quantum entanglement for quantum information processing. We realized the electromagnetically induced transparency-like(EIT-like) effect and the optical parameter conversion process at the same time in one optical device. | 6 | Design and numerical simulation of SPF-PCF-SPF fluid sensing system based on photoelectric oscillator显示文摘In this paper,an optical fiber fluid sensing system based on optoelectronic oscillator(OEO)was proposed and studied numerically.The fluid sensor head is constructed by splicing two sections of side-polished fiber(SPF)to one section of photonic crystal fiber(PCF).Fluid sample can flow continuously through the holes of PCF.The refractive index(RI)change of the fluid sample can lead to the effective RI change of the fiber,resulting in frequency change of microwave signal generated by OEO.By monitoring the oscillation frequency using an electronic spectrum analyzer(ESA),the RI of fluid sample can be measured.Thanks to the fast interrogation speed of ESAs,the measuring speed can be increased significantly compared to traditional optical fiber RI sensing systems using optical spectrometers.The sensing principle of the system was studied.The sensitivity of the proposed system was evaluated by simulation,and an RI sensitivity of-14.20 MHz/RIU can be achieved.The results show that with proper system design,real-time RI measurement with high sensitivity can be achieved.Increasing the length of the PCF while under the premise of the fluid parameters will be the most reasonable way to improve the sensitivity.The proposed design and simulation results can provide suggestions for the fabrication and optimization of fluid sensing systems used for real-time detection and measurement of biological elements and heavy metal ions in liquid environment. | GUO Junqi YUE Yiting CUI Wei ZOU Xinhai YANG Haoyu YANG Junkai | 2022 | Optoelectronics Letters2022,18,6: | 0 |
