2Mapping the elastic properties of two-dimensional MoS_(2) via bimodal atomic force microscopy and finite element simulation显示文摘Elasticity is a fundamental mechanical property of two-dimensional(2D)materials,and is critical for their application as well as for strain engineering.However,accurate measurement of the elastic modulus of 2D materials remains a challenge,and the conventional suspension method suffers from a number of drawbacks.In this work,we demonstrate a method to map the in-plane Young’s modulus of mono-and bi-layer MoS_(2) on a substrate with high spatial resolution.Bimodal atomic force microscopy is used to accurately map the effective spring constant between the microscope tip and sample,and a finite element method is developed to quantitatively account for the effect of substrate stiffness on deformation.Using these methods,the in-plane Young’s modulus of monolayer MoS_(2) can be decoupled from the substrate and determined as 265±13 GPa,broadly consistent with previous reports though with substantially smaller uncertainty.It is also found that the elasticity of mono-and bi-layer MoS_(2) cannot be differentiated,which is confirmed by the first principles calculations.This method provides a convenient,robust and accurate means to map the in-plane Young’s modulus of 2D materials on a substrate.Yuhao Li Chuanbin Yu Yingye Gan Peng Jiang Junxi Yu Yun Ou Dai-Feng Zou Cheng Huang Jiahong Wang Tingting Jia Qian Luo Xue-Feng Yu Huijuan Zhao Cun-Fa Gao Jiangyu Li 2018npj Computational Materials2018,,1:3
3Salt-washing Improvement of the Electrochemical Properties of Zeolite-sulfur Cathode for Lithium-sulfur Batteries显示文摘We displayed that the low-cost natural zeolite with molecular sieve structure can be used as the carrier of sulfur in lithium-sulfur batteries.Meanwhile,a simple salt-washing method was implemented on zeolite for dredging the internal microchannel to improve the ability of adsorption,ion exchange and sulfur loading.The experimental results show that the first specific discharge capacities of zeolite/S and salt-washed zeolite/S cathode under 0.2 C current density are 950.7 and1116.8 mAh/g,respectively,and corresponding discharge capacities remain at 350.6 and 604.2 mAh/g after 300 cycles.The first specific discharge capacity of salt-washed zeolite/S composite is 17.5%higher than that sample without salt-washing,and the corresponding ionic conductivity is improved.何妍佳 杜子博 SU Yong YU Junxi CHEN Feifan 谢淑红 潘俊安 2020Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2020,35,4:2

8海底水合物区或存在大量以往被忽视的深部来源甲烷显示文摘量化天然气水合物富集区海底硫酸盐还原速率和甲烷氧化速率对了解海洋碳、硫循环至关重要.以南海北部神狐海域为例,基于实测的大面积(达5.2 10^(11)km^(2))、多站位(85个)海底表层沉积物硫酸盐浓度剖面,我们获得的区域硫酸盐还原速率为5.39 10^(11)mmol a^(-1).该值明显高于前人利用沉积速率估算的区域硫酸盐还原速率(3.52 10^(11)mmol a^(-1)).有意思的是,两种不同方法获得的区域硫酸盐还原速率的差值(1.87 10^(11)mmol a^(-1))恰好能限定来自深部地层中的甲烷通量大小.据此,我们认为以往海底表层沉积环境区域、乃至全球的硫酸盐还原速率可能被较大程度低估.研究同时突显了海底水合物和甲烷渗漏区表层硫酸盐消耗的甲烷相当一部分来自深部地层,而非原地有机质产甲烷形成.今后在进行精确评估全球海底硫酸盐还原和甲烷氧化速率以及水合物资源环境效应时须充分考虑海底深部甲烷的贡献.Yu Hu Xinxin Zhang Dong Feng Jörn Peckmann Junxi Feng Hongbin Wang Shengxiong Yang Duofu Chen 2022Science Bulletin2022,67,2:0
9Influence of light absorption on the metallic nanotextured reflectors of GaN-based light emitting diodes显示文摘Metallic nanotextured reflectors have been widely used in light emitting diodes(LEDs) to enhance the light extraction efficiency. However, the light absorption loss for the metallic reflectors with nanotexture structure is often neglected. Here, the influence of absorption loss of metallic nanotextured reflectors on the LED optoelectronic properties were studied. Two commonly used metal reflectors Ag and Al were applied to green GaN-based LEDs. By applying a Ag nanotextured reflector, the light output power of the LEDs was enhanced by 78% due to the improved light extraction. For an Al nanotextured reflector, however,only a 6% enhancement of the light output power was achieved. By analyzing the metal absorption using finite-difference timedomain(FDTD) and the metal reflectivity spectrum, it is shown that the surface plasmon(SP) intrinsic absorption of metallic reflectors with nanotexture structure play an important role. 11The crucial role of deep-sourced methane in maintaining the subseafloor sulfate budget显示文摘Methane(CH4)is a powerful greenhouse gas and its largest reservoir on Earth is held in marine sediments.CH4 in marine sediments is mainly stored in gas-hydrate reservoirs and deep sedimentary strata along continental margins,where large amounts of deep-sourced CH4 ascend to different degrees toward the seafloor.However,the amount of deep-sourced CH4 and its role in subseafloor carbon and sulfur cycling remains poorly constrained.We analyzed sulfate(SO_(4)^(2-))profiles of 157 sites along with previous published 85 sites to determine the regional distribution and amount of SO_(4)^(2-) reduction for an area of 1.23×10^(5) km^(2) of the northern South China Sea.Then we compared these obtained results with estimates based on sedimentation rates from the same area.Significantly higher regional SO_(4)^(2-) flux estimates based on SO_(4)^(2-) profiles(4.26×10^(-3)Tmol a^(-1)),compared to lower estimates based on sedimentation rates(1.23×10^(-3)Tmol a^(-1)),reflect abundant ascending deep-sourced CH4.The difference of the regional SO_(4)^(2-) flux estimates(3.03×10^(-3)Tmol a^(-1))represents the amount of SO_(4)^(2-) reduced by CH_(4) through the anaerobic oxidation of CH_(4)(AOM).Deep-sourced CH_(4) contributes 71%to total SO_(4)^(2-) consumption in the study area,largely exceeding SO_(4)^(2-) consumption by organoclastic sulfate reduction.Our findings substantiate that deep-sourced CH4 governs subseafloor carbon and sulfur cycling to a previously underrated extent,fueling extensive chemosynthesis-based ecosystems along continental slope and rise.Yu Hu Dong Feng Jörn Peckmann Xinxin Zhang Linying Chen Junxi Feng Hongbin Wang Duofu Chen 2023Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,3:0
12Dynamic responses and failure mechanisms of the existing tunnel under transient excavation unloading of an adjacent tunnel显示文摘Engineering disasters(e.g.rock slabbing and rockburst)of the tunnel groups induced by the transient excavation of an adjacent tunnel threaten the stability of the existing tunnel,especially for those excavated by using the drill and blast tunneling(D&B).However,the dynamic response and failure mechanism of surrounding rocks of the existing tunnel caused by adjacent transient excavation are not clear due to the difficulty in conducting field tests and laboratory experiments.Therefore,a novel transient unloading experimental system for deep tunnel excavation was proposed in this study.The real stress path and the unloading rate can be reproduced by using this proposed system.The experiments were conducted for observing the dynamic response of the existing tunnel induced by adjacent transient excavation under different lateral pressure coefficients l(?0.4,0.6,0.8,1,1.2,1.4,1.6,1.8)with a polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)specimen.The propagation of the impact wave and unloading surface wave was detected through the digital image correlation(DIC)analysis.The reflection of the unloading surface wave on the incident side of the existing tunnel(tunnel-E)was observed and analyzed.Moreover,the dynamic characteristics of the stress redistribution,the particle displacement and vibration velocity of surrounding rocks of tunnel-E were analyzed and summarized.In addition,the Mohr-Coulomb(MeC)failure criterion with tension cut-off was adopted to evaluate the stability of the existing tunnel under adjacent transient excavation.The results indicate that the incident side of the existing tunnel under the dynamic disturbance of transient excavation of an adjacent tunnel was more prone to fail,followed by the shadow side and the top/bottom side.Ying Xu Junxi Tang Yuchao Yu Wei Yao Bangbiao Wu Kaiwen Xia 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,11:0
