1CBLN2 rs2217560 was Associated with Pulmonary Arteria Hypertension in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus显示文摘To the Editor:Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)is a hemodynamic disorder with elevated pressure of pulmonary circulation.Genetic studies in familial PAH (fPAH)and idiopathic PAH (iPAH)have discovered that transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) superfamily plays an important role,and the identified mutations occur in bone morphogenetic protein type 2 receptor (BMPR2), activin receptor-like kinase type 1 (ALK1),Endoglin,and SMAD9. 2Understanding Sulfur Redox Mechanisms in Different Electrolytes for Room-Temperature Na-S Batteries显示文摘This work reports influence of two different electrolytes,carbonate ester and ether electrolytes,on the sulfur redox reactions in room-temperature Na-S batteries.Two sulfur cathodes with different S loading ratio and status are investigated.A sulfur-rich composite with most sulfur dispersed on the surface of a carbon host can realize a high loading ratio(72%S).In contrast,a confined sulfur sample can encapsulate S into the pores of the carbon host with a low loading ratio(44%S).In carbonate ester electrolyte,only the sulfur trapped in porous structures is active via‘solid-solid’behavior during cycling.The S cathode with high surface sulfur shows poor reversible capacity because of the severe side reactions between the surface polysulfides and the carbonate ester solvents.To improve the capacity of the sulfur-rich cathode,ether electrolyte with NaNO_(3) additive is explored to realize a‘solid-liquid’sulfur redox process and confine the shuttle effect of the dissolved polysulfides.As a result,the sulfur-rich cathode achieved high reversible capacity(483 mAh g^(−1)),corresponding to a specific energy of 362 Wh kg^(−1) after 200 cycles,shedding light on the use of ether electrolyte for high-loading sulfur cathode.Hanwen Liu Wei-Hong Lai Qiuran Yang Yaojie Lei Can Wu Nana Wang Yun-Xiao Wang Shu-Lei Chou Hua Kun Liu Shi Xue Dou 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,8:3
3Stable perovskite solar cells with efficiency of 22.6%via quinoxaline-based polymeric hole transport material显示文摘Poor stability of spiro-OMe TAD hole transport materials(HTMs)with dopant is a major obstacle for the commercialization of perovskite solar cells(pero-SCs).Herein,we demonstrate a series of quinoxaline-based D-A copolymers PBQ5,PBQ6 and PBQ10 as the dopant-free polymer HTMs for high performance pero-SCs.The D-A copolymers are composed of fluorothienyl benzodithiophene(BDTT)as D-unit,difluoroquinoxaline(DFQ)with different side chains as A-unit,and thiophene asπ-bridge,where the side chains on the DFQ unit are bi-alkyl for PBQ5,bi-alkyl-fluorothienyl for PBQ6,and alkoxyl for PBQ10.All the three copolymers are adopted as the dopant-free HTM in the pero-SCs.The planar n-i-p structured pero-SCs based on(FAPb I_(3))_(0.98)(MAPb Br_(3))_(0.02)with PBQ6 HTM demonstrated the high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 22.6%with Vocof1.13 V and FF of 80.8%,which is benefitted from the suitable energy level and high hole mobility of PBQ6.The PCE of 22.6%is the highest efficiency reported in the n-i-p structured pero-SCs based on dopant-free D-A copolymer HTM.In addition,the peroSCs show significantly enhanced ambient,thermal and light-soaking stability compared with the devices with traditional spiroOMe TAD HTM.Chenxing Lu Can Zhu Lei Meng Chenkai Sun Wenbin Lai Shucheng Qin Jinyuan Zhang Wenchao Huang Jiaqi Du Yiyang Wang Yongfang Li 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,11:2
4In-situ generation and global property profiling of metal nanoclusters by ultraviolet laser dissociation-mass spectrometry显示文摘Metal nanoclusters are promising nanomaterials with unique properties, but only a few ones with specific numbers of metal atoms can be obtained and studied up to now. In this study, we establish a new paradigm of in-situ generation and global study of metal nanoclusters with different sizes, constitutions, and charge states, including both accurate constitution characterization and global activity profiling. The complex mixtures of metal nanoclusters are produced by employing single-pulsed 193-nm laser dissociation of monolayer-protected cluster(MPC) precursors within a high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS). More than400 types of bare gold nanoclusters including novel multiply charged(2+ and 3+), S-/P-doped, and silver alloy ones can be efficiently generated and accurately characterized. A distinct size(1 to 142 atoms)-and charge(1+ to 3+)-hierarchy reactivity is clearly observed for the first time. 9Chlorinated polymerized small molecule acceptor enabling ternary all-polymer solar cells with over 16.6% efficiency显示文摘Recently,all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs) based on polymerized small molecule acceptors(PSMAs) have achieved significant progress.Ternary blending has proven to be an effective strategy to further boost the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of the all-PSCs.Herein,a new A-DA′D-A small-molecule acceptor-based PSMA(named as PYCl-T) was designed and synthesized,which possesses similar polymer backbone with the widely used PY-IT,but with chlorine substitution on the A-end groups in the A-DA′D-A structure.PYCl-T was then employed as the third component into the PM6:PY-IT system and the ternary all-PSCs based on PM6:PY-IT:PYCl-T demonstrated a high PCE of 16.62%(certified value of 16.3%).Moreover,the PCE of 15.52% was realized in the enlarged ternary all-PSCs with effective area of 1 cm^(2),indicating the great potential in large-scale applications.Moreover,the optimized ternary blend films of PM6:PY-IT:PYCl-T show excellent thermal stability at 150 ℃.This work demonstrates that the utilization of a ternary blend system involving two well-compatible PSMA polymer acceptors is an effective strategy to boost the performance of the all-PSCs.Ke Hu Jiaqi Du Can Zhu Wenbin Lai Jing Li Jingming Xin Wei Ma Zhanjun Zhang Jinyuan Zhang Lei Meng Yongfang Li 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,5:1

11Neoadjuvant transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and systemic chemotherapy for the treatment of undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver in children显示文摘BACKGROUND Undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver(UESL)is a rare and aggressive mesenchymal tumor in children.Herein,we describe our experience in neoadjuvant therapy(NAT)and subsequent surgery for the treatment of UESL in children.AIM To evaluate the efficacy of NAT and explore a new choice for successful operation of UESL in children.METHODS We retrospectively analyzed six patients newly diagnosed with unresectable UESL who received NAT and then surgery at our center between January 2004 and December 2019.The tumor was considered unresectable if it involved a large part of both lobes of the liver or had invaded the main hepatic vessels or inferior vena cava.The NAT included preoperative transcatheter arterial chemoembol ization(TACE)and systemic chemotherapy.The patients were 4 boys and 2 girls with a mean age of 7 years.The longest tumor at presentation ranged from 8.6 to 14.8 cm(mean,12 cm).Extrahepatic metastases were present in 2 cases.Preoperative systemic chemotherapy was administered 3 wk after TACE.Tumor resection was performed 3 wk after one or two cycles of NAT.The patients received systemic chemotherapy after surgery.RESULTS All patients successfully underwent NAT and complete resection.The tumor volumes decreased by 18.2%–68.7%,with a mean decrease of 36%after 1 cycle of NAT(t=3.524,P=0.017).According to the Response Evaluation Criteria In Solid Tumors criteria,4 patients had a partial response and underwent surgery,while 2 had stable disease and received another cycle of NAT before surgery.Massive tumor necrosis was seen on pathological examination of the surgical specimen:>90%necrosis in two,>50%necrosis in three,and 25%necrosis in 1,with an average of 71.8%.Post-NAT complications included fever,nausea and vomiting,and mild bone marrow suppression.Elevated alanine transaminase levels occurred in all patients,which returned to normal within 7–10 d after treatment.No cardiac or renal toxicity,severe hepatic dysfunction,bleeding and nontarget embolization were observed in the patients.The median follow-up period was 8 years with an overall survival of 100%.CONCLUSION NAT effectively reduced tumor volume,cleared the tumor margin,and caused massive tumor necrosis.This may be a promising choice for successful surgery of UESL in children.Min He Jia-Bin Cai Can Lai Jun-Qing Mao Jie-Ni Xiong Zhong-Hai Guan Lin-Jie Li Qiang Shu Mei-Dan Ying Jin-Hu Wang 2022World Journal of Clinical Cases2022,10,19:1

16MR Lymphangiography for Focal Disruption of the Thoracic Duct in Chylothorax of an Infant: a Case Report and Literature Review显示文摘Chylothorax is a rare cause of pleural effusion in children, and it is usually difficult to identify the location of chyle leakage due to the small size of the thoracic duct in children. 17Prospective case series on trabecular-iris angle status after an acute episode of phacomorphic angle closure显示文摘AIM:To investigate the trabecular-iris angle with ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) post cataract extraction after an acute attack of phacomorphic angle closure. ·METHODS:This prospective study involved 10 cases of phacomorphic angle closure that underwent cataract extraction and intraocular lens insertion after intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering. Apart from visual acuity and IOP, the trabecular-iris angle was measured by gonioscopy and UBM at 3 months post attack. ·RESULTS:In 10 consecutive cases of acute phaco-morphic angle closure from December 2009 to December 2010, gonioscopic findings showed peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS) ≤90° in 30% of phacomorphic patients and a mean Shaffer grading of (3.1±1.0). UBM showed a mean angle of (37.1°±4.5°) in the phacomorphic eye with the temporal quadrant being the most opened and (37.1°±8.0°) in the contralateral uninvolved eye. The mean time from consultation to cataract extraction was (1.4 ± 0.7) days and the mean total duration of phacomorphic angle closure was (3.6 ±2.8) days but there was no correlation to the degree of angle closure on UBM (Spearman correlation P =0.7). The presenting mean IOP was (50.5±7.4) mmHg and the mean IOP at 3 months was (10.5±3.4) mmHg but there were no correlations with the degree of angle closure (Spearman correlations P =0.9). CONCLUSION:Anopentrabecular-irisangleandnormal IOP can be achieved after an acute attack of pha-comorphic angle closure if cataract extraction is performed within 1 day-2 days after IOP control. Gonioscopic findings were in agreement with UBM,which provided a more specific and object angle measurement. The superior angle is relatively more narrowed compared to the other quadrants. 18High-Performance D-A Copolymer Donor Based on Difluoroquinoxaline A-Unit with Alkyl-Chlorothiophene Substituents for Polymer Solar Cells显示文摘Side chain engineering with fluorine substitution is widely used to enhance photovoltaic performance of polymer donors in the research field of polymer solar cells(PSCs).However,fluorine substitution has disadvantages of complicated synthesis and high cost.Herein,we synthesized a novel D-A copolymer donor PBQ9 based on difluoroquinoxaline A-unit with chlorine substitution on its alkyl-thiophene side chains instead of fluorine substitution in the polymer donor PBQ6,which greatly shortens the synthetic route and reduces the cost.Interestingly,the optimized binary PSC with PBQ9 as polymer donor and m-TEH as acceptor demonstrated a high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 18.81%(certified PCE of 18.33%by National Institute of Metrology,China)with a high fill factor of 80.59%,and the photovoltaic performance of the PSCs is insensitive to the different batches of the polymer donor.The results indicate that PBQ9 is a high-performance polymer donor and that chlorine substitution is an effective strategy to improve photovoltaic performance and reduce the cost of polymer donors.Can Zhu Ke Hu Lei Meng Xiaolei Kong Wenbin Lai Shucheng Qin Beibei Qiu Jinyuan Zhang Zhanjun Zhang Yilei Wu Xiaojun Li Yongfang Li 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,10:0

20Migration and risks of potentially toxic elements from sewage sludge applied to acid forest soil显示文摘`The application of sewage sludge(SS)to forested lands may lead to the downward migration of potentially toxic elements(PTEs)through rainfall and thus pose risk to the subsoil and groundwater.Batch column experiments were conducted using leaching water equivalent to the rainfall amount in the study area over 3 years to investigate changes in concentrations of PTEs,including copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd),and nickel(Ni)in the leachate from the acidic forest soil.Water quality index of leachate,potential ecological risk and human health risk in soil at different leaching stages were compared.Sewage sludge was applied at SS/soil mass ratios of 0:100(controls),15:85(T1),30:70(T2),45:55(T3),60:40(T4),and 75:25(T5).All treatments resulted in increased PTEs concentration in the upper 20 cm soil,T3-T5 increased potential ecological risk from'low'(control)to'moderate'or'considerable'.During first year leaching,PTEs concentration increased with increasing SS/soil ratios,but the water quality index of T1-T3 was'excellent'or'good'.Pb,Cu,Cd,and Ni in the 20-40 cm soil depth,and Zn in the 60-80 cm soil depth were also enriched,but potential ecological risk was'low'.In subsequent leaching,PTEs concentration of leachate gradually returned to the background value and water quality index was'excellent'.There were no significant changes in PTEs and ecological risk observed.During the monitoring process,the health risk caused by the migration of PTEs to the human body was always within the acceptable range.Overall,this study provides a reference for the management of risks from the application of SS on forestlands,i.e.,SS/soil ratios<45:55 is recommended on forestlands,and special attention should be given to early leaching risk.In addition,it also provides an important assessment method for the risk of PTEs leaching and migration in forested land application.Shuangshuang Chu Lihua Xian Can Lai Wenjun Yang Jing Wang Mandi Long Jianhui Ouyang Dandan Liao Shucai Zeng 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,6:0
