| 1 | Evolution from small molecule to nano-drug delivery systems:An emerging approach for cancer therapy of ursolic acid显示文摘Ursolic acid(UA),a natural pentacyclic triterpenoid,possesses widespread biological and pharmacological activities.However,drawbacks such as low bioavailability,poor targeting and rapid metabolism greatly hinder its further clinical application.Recently,with the development of nanotechnology,various UA nanosystems have emerged as promising strategies for effective cancer therapy.This article reviews various types of UA-based nanodelivery systems,primarily with emphasis placed on novel UA-based carrier-free nanodrugs,which are considered to be innovative methods for cancer therapy.Moreover,this review presents carrier-free nano-drugs that co-assembled of UA and photosensitizers that displayed synergistic antitumor performance.Finally,the article also describes the development and challenges of UA nanosystems for future research in this field.Overall,the information presented in this review will provide new insight into the rational utilization of nano-drugs in cancer therapy. | Jingwei Shao Yifan Fang Ruirui Zhao Fangmin Chen Mingyue Yang Jiali Jiang Zixuan Chen Xiaotian Yuan Lee Jia | 2020 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2020,15,6: | 3 |
| 2 | Clinical application of traditional herbal medicine in five countries and regions: Japan;South Korea;China's Mainland;Hong Kong, China;Taiwan, China显示文摘Objective:To study the characteristics of the clinical application of traditional herbal medicine in five countries and regions where traditional medicine(TM)is widely used:Japan;South Korea;China's Mainland;Hong Kong,China;Taiwan,China.And to analyze,from multiple angles,the variations in the methods of TM used in each countries and regions.Methods:Fifty commonly used traditional herbs(TOP50)from classical formulae were selected,and descriptive statistics,correlation analyses,and Friedman test were used to compare methods of clinical application and dosages in the countries and regions of interest based on a retrospective review of randomly-selected medical records.Results:There were significant differences in sequencing TOP50 among the five countries and regions(P<.01).The adherence to the classical formulae,from strong to weak was Japan;China's Mainland;Taiwan,China;Hong Kong,China;South Korea.There were also significant differences in TOP50 dosing regimens(P<.01).Overall dosages of TOP50 from high to low were:China's Mainland;Hong Kong,China;Taiwan,China;South Korea;Japan.Finally,there were significant differences in the dosage intervals(P<.01),with dosage intervals from maximum to minimum as follows:China's Mainland;Taiwan,China;Hong Kong,China;South Korea;Japan.Conclusions:The clinical dosages of traditional herbal medicine used in the China's Mainland are relatively large compared with those prescribed in the other four countries and regions,and the range of dosages in China's Mainland is more flexible.On the other hand,clinical dosages of TOP50 are the lowest in Japan,where the dosage range is also the narrowest,supporting the idea that Doctors of Kampo medicine are highly cautious and are likely to adhere strictly to classical formulae,while Hong Kong,China and Taiwan,China are in the middle.The dosage of TOP50 in South Korea is significantly lower than that used in the China's Mainland;Hong Kong,China and Taiwan,China where the adherence to the classical formulae was the lowest,albeit slightly higher than that in Japan.The methods of clinical application of traditional herbal medicine in the five countries and regions were affected by multiple factors,including history,geography,climate,and culture. | Liming Chen Yanling Fu Lin Zhang Sijia Zhao Qing Feng Yihua Cheng Tosha Yanai Daji Xu Mingyu Luo Sang Woo An Woong Seok Lee Seong Hoon Cho Byung Wook Lee | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,3: | 1 |

| 7 | Programmable Logic Controller Block Monitoring System for Memory Attack Defense in Industrial Control Systems显示文摘Cyberattacks targeting industrial control systems(ICS)are becoming more sophisticated and advanced than in the past.A programmable logic controller(PLC),a core component of ICS,controls and monitors sensors and actuators in the field.However,PLC has memory attack threats such as program injection and manipulation,which has long been a major target for attackers,and it is important to detect these attacks for ICS security.To detect PLC memory attacks,a security system is required to acquire and monitor PLC memory directly.In addition,the performance impact of the security system on the PLC makes it difficult to apply to the ICS.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a system to detect PLC memory attacks by continuously acquiring and monitoring PLC memory.The proposed system detects PLC memory attacks by acquiring the program blocks and block information directly from the same layer as the PLC and then comparing them in bytes with previous data.Experiments with Siemens S7-300 and S7-400 PLC were conducted to evaluate the PLC memory detection performance and performance impact on PLC.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system detects all malicious organization block(OB)injection and data block(DB)manipulation,and the increment of PLC cycle time,the impact on PLC performance,was less than 1 ms.The proposed system detects PLC memory attacks with a simpler detection method than earlier studies.Furthermore,the proposed system can be applied to ICS with a small performance impact on PLC. | Mingyu Lee Jiho Shin Jung Taek Seo | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,11: | 0 |

| 9 | Data Utilization-Based Adaptive Data Management Method for Distributed Storage System in WAN Environment显示文摘Recently,research on a distributed storage system that efficiently manages a large amount of data has been actively conducted following data production and demand increase.Physical expansion limits exist for traditional standalone storage systems,such as I/O and file system capacity.However,the existing distributed storage system does not consider where data is consumed and is more focused on data dissemination and optimizing the lookup cost of data location.And this leads to system performance degradation due to low locality occurring in a Wide Area Network(WAN)environment with high network latency.This problem hinders deploying distributed storage systems to multiple data centers over WAN.It lowers the scalability of distributed storage systems to accommodate data storage needs.This paper proposes a method for distributing data in a WAN environment considering network latency and data locality to solve this problem and increase overall system performance.The proposed distributed storage method monitors data utilization and locality to classify data temperature as hot,warm,and cold.With assigned data temperature,the proposed algorithm adaptively selects the appropriate data center and places data accordingly to overcome the excess latency from the WAN environment,leading to overall system performance degradation.This paper also conducts simulations to evaluate the proposed and existing distributed storage methods.The result shows that our proposed method reduced latency by 38%compared to the existing method.Therefore,the proposed method in this paper can be used in large-scale distributed storage systems over a WAN environment to improve latency and performance compared to existing methods,such as consistent hashing. | Sanghyuck Nam Jaehwan Lee Kyoungchan Kim Mingyu Jo Sangoh Park | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,9: | 0 |
