| 1 | Effects of penehyclidine hydrochloride in small intestinal damage caused by limb ischemia-reperfusion显示文摘AIM:To investigate the protective effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride post-conditioning in the damage to the barrier function of the small intestinal mucosa caused by limb ischemia-reperfusion(LIR) injury. METHODS:Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups(36 rats each) :the sham-operation group(group S) ,lower limb ischemia-reperfusion group(group LIR) ,and penehyclidine hydrochloride postconditioning group(group PHC) .Each group was divided into subgroups(n=6 in each group) according to ischemic-reperfusion time,i.e.immediately 0 h(T1) ,1 h(T2) ,3 h(T3) ,6 h(T4) ,12 h(T5) ,and 24 h(T6) .Bilateral hind-limb ischemia was induced by rubber band application proximal to the level of the greater trochanter for 3 h.In group PHC,0.15 mg/kg of penehyclidine hydrochloride was injected into the tail vein immediately after 3 h of bilateral hind-limb ischemia.The designated rats were sacrificed at different time-points of reperfusion;diamine oxidase(DAO) ,superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity,myeloperoxidase(MPO) of small intestinal tissue,plasma endotoxin,DAO,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) ,and interleukin(IL) -10 in serum were detected in the rats. RESULTS:The pathological changes in the small intestine were observed under light microscope.The levels of MPO,endotoxin,serum DAO,and IL-10 at T1-T6,and TNF-αlevel at T1-T4 increased in groups LIR and PHC(P<0.05) compared with those in group S,but tissue DAO and SOD activity at T1-T6 decreased(P<0.05) .In group PHC,the tissue DAO and SOD activity at T2-T6,and IL-10 at T2-T5 increased to higher levels than those in group LIR(P<0.05) ;however,the levels of MPO,endotoxin,and DAO in the blood at T2-T6,and TNF-αat T2 and T4 decreased(P<0.05) . | 2 | Oxidative stress and hypoxia-induced factor 1α expression in gastric ischemia显示文摘AIM:To investigate the relation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) to hypoxia induced factor 1α (HIF-1α) in gastric ischemia. METHODS:The animal model of gastric ischemia reperfusion was established by placing an elastic rubber band on the proximal part of the bilateral lower limb for ligature for 3 h and reperfusion for 0,1,3,6,12 or 24 h. Ischemic post-conditioning,three cycles of 30-s reperfusion and 30-s femoral aortic reocclusion were conducted before reperfusion. Histological and immunohistochemical methods were used to assess the gastric oxidative damage and the expression of HIF1-α in gastric ischemia. The malondialdehyde (MDA) content and superoxide dismutase (SOD),xanthine oxidase (XOD) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) activities were determined by colorimetric assays. RESULTS:Ischemic post-conditioning can reduce post-ischemic oxidative stress and the expression of HIF-1α of gastric tissue resulting from limb ischemia reperfusion injury. MDA,SOD,XOD and MPO were regarded as indexes for mucosal injuries from ROS,and ROS was found to affect the expression of HIF-1α under gastric ischemic conditions. CONCLUSION:ROS affects HIF-1α expression under gastric ischemic conditions induced by limb ischemia reperfusion injury. | 3 | World’s first spaceflight on-orbit demonstration of a flexible solar array system based on shape memory polymer composites显示文摘With a 10%reversible compressive strain in more than 10 deformation cycles,the shape memory polymer composites(SMPCs)could be used for deployable structure and releasing mechanism.In this paper,without traditional electro-explosive devices or motors/controllers,the deployable SMPC flexible solar array system(SMPC-FSAS)is studied,developed,ground-based tested,and finally on-orbit validated.The epoxy-based SMPC is used for the rolling-out variable-stiffness beams as a structural frame as well as an actuator for the flexible blanket solar array.The releasing mechanism is primarily made of the cyanate-based SMPC,which has a high locking stiffness to withstand 50 g gravitational acceleration and a large unlocking displacement of 10 mm.The systematical mechanical and thermal qualification tests of the SMPC-FSAS flight hardware were performed,including sinusoidal sweeping vibration,shocking,acceleration,thermal equilibrium,thermal vacuum cycling,and thermal cycling test.The locking function of the SMPC releasing mechanisms was in normal when launching aboard the SJ20 Geostationary Satellite on 27 Dec.,2019.The SMPC-FSAS flight hardware successfully unlocked and deployed on 5 Jan.,2020 on geostationary orbit.The triggering signal of limit switches returned to ground at the 139 s upon heating,which indicated the successful unlocking function of SMPC releasing mechanisms.A pair of epoxy-based SMPC rolled variable-stiffness tubes,which clapped the flexible blanket solar array,slowly deployed and finally approached an approximate 100%shape recovery ratio within 60 s upon heating.The study and on-orbit successful validation of the SMPC-FSAS flight hardware could accelerate the related study and associated productions to be used for the next-generation releasing mechanisms as well as space deployable structures,such as new releasing mechanisms with low-shocking,testability and reusability,and ultra-large space deployable solar arrays. | LAN Xin LIU LiWu ZHANG FengHua LIU ZhengXian WANG LinLin LI QiFeng PENG Fan HAO SiDa DAI WenXu WAN Xue TANG Yong WANG Mian HAO YanYan YANG Yang YANG Cheng LIU YanJu LENG JinSong | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,8: | 7 |
| 4 | Analysis of pore system model and physical property of coal reservoir in the Qinshui Basin显示文摘The Qinshui Basin in China is a major area for exploration and development of high rank coalbed methane. Due to the high rank coal and complicated pore system, no substantial breakthrough in the exploration and development of coalbed methane has been made until now. Many systematic tests show that a pore system of coal reservoir has some features as follows: the porosity is relatively low; the pore system is dominated by micropores and transition pores; mesopores take the second place, and macropores are nearly absent, which is exceedingly adverse for production of coal-bed methane. However, testing data also revealed the differential development for the pore of high rank coal reservoirs in the Qinshui Basin, which necessarily led to the different physical properties of desorption, diffusion and permeability. | 10 | Analysis of part of the Trichophyton rubrum ESTs显示文摘Trichophyton rubrum (T. rubrum) is the most common of the superficial fungi. In an effort to better understand the genetic and biochemical makeup of T. rubrum, we generated cDNA libraries from 3 growth stages and used these to isolate 4002 unique expressed sequence tags (ESTs). Sequence comparisons with the Genbank database allowed 1226 of the ESTs to be assigned putative functions or matched with homologs from other organisms. Of the remaining ESTs, 989 were only weakly similar to known sequences and 1787 had no identifiable functions, suggesting that they represent novel genes. We further analyzed the presence of several im-portant genes involved in the growth, metabolism, signal transduction, pathogenesis and drug resistance in T. rubrum. This information was used to newly elucidate important metabolic path-ways in T. rubrum. | 12 | Two-Dimensional Variational Analysis of Near-Surface Moisture from Simulated Radar Refractivity-Related Phase Change Observations显示文摘Because they are most sensitive to atmospheric moisture content,radar refractivity observations can provide high-resolution information about the highly variable low-level moisture field.In this study,simulated radar refractivity-related phase-change data were created using a radar simulator from realistic highresolution model simulation data for a dryline case.These data were analyzed using the 2DVAR system developed specifically for the phase-change data.Two sets of experiments with the simulated observations were performed,one assuming a uniform target spacing of 250 m and one assuming nonuniform spacing between 250 m to 4 km.Several sources of observation error were considered,and their impacts were examined.They included errors due to ground target position uncertainty,typical random errors associated with radar measurements,and gross error due to phase wrapping.Without any additional information,the 2DVAR system was incapable of dealing with phase-wrapped data directly.When there was no phase wrapping in the data,the 2DVAR produced excellent analyses,even in the presence of both position uncertainty and random radar measurement errors.When a separate pre-processing step was applied to unwrap the phase-wrapped data,quality moisture analyses were again obtained,although the analyses were smoother due to the reduced effective resolution of the observations by interpolation and smoothing involved in the unwrapping procedure.The unwrapping procedure was effective even when significant differences existed between the analyzed state and the state at a reference time.The results affirm the promise of using radar refractivity phase-change measurements for near-surface moisture analysis. | Ken-ichi SHIMOSE Ming XUE Robert D.PALMER Jidong GAO Boon Leng CHEONG David J.BODINE | 2013 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2013,30,2: | 1 |

| 15 | Factors influencing outcomes after cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency department显示文摘BACKGROUND:The outcome of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) may depend on a variety of factors related to patient status or resuscitation management.To evaluate the factors influencing the outcome of CPR after cardiac arrest(CA) will be conducive to improve the effectiveness of resuscitation.Therefore,a study was designed to assess these factors in the emergency department(ED) of a city hospital.METHODS:A CPR registry conforming to the Utstein-style template was conducted in the ED of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College from January 2005 to December 2011.The outcomes of CPR were compared in various factors groups.The primary outcomes were rated to return of spontaneous circulation(ROSC),24-hour survival,survival to discharge and discharge with favorable neurological outcomes.Univariate analysis and multivariable logistic regression analysis were performed to evaluate factors associated with survival.RESULTS:A total of 725 patients were analyzed in the study.Of these patients,187(25.8%) had ROSC,100(13.8%) survived for 24 hours,48(6.6%) survived to discharge,and 23(3.2%) survived to discharge with favorable neurologic outcomes.A logistic regression analysis demonstrated that the independent predictors of ROSC included traumatic etiology,first monitored rhythms,CPR duration,and total adrenaline dose.The independent predictors of 24-hour survival included traumatic etiology,cardiac etiology,first monitored rhythm and CPR duration.Previous status,cardiac etiology,first monitored rhythms and CPR duration were included in independent predictors of survival to discharge and neurologically favorable survival to discharge.CONCLUSIONS:Shockable rhythms,CPR duration ≤15 minutes and total adrenaline dose≤5 mg were favorable predictors of ROSC,whereas traumatic etiology was unfavorable.Cardiac etiology,shockable rhythms and CPR duration ?15 minutes were favorable predictors of 24-hour survival,whereas traumatic etiology was unfavorable.Cardiac etiology,shockable rhythms,CPR duration ≤15 minutes were favorable predictors of survival to discharge and neurologically favorable survival to discharge,but previous terminal illness or multiple organ failure(MOF) was unfavorable. | Ji-ke Xue Qiao-yun Leng Yu-zhi Gao Shou-quan Chen Zhang-ping Li Hui-ping Li Wei-jia Huang Jun-yan Cheng Jie Zhang Ai-wen He | 2013 | World Journal of Emergency Medicine2013,4,3: | 1 |
