| 1 | A 3D bounding surface model for rockfill materials显示文摘A 3D bounding surface model is established for rockfill materials,which can be applied to appropriately predict the deformation and the stabilization of rockfill dams.Firstly,an associated plastic flow rule for rockfill materials is investigated based on the elaborate data from the large-style triaxial compression tests and the true triaxial tests.Secondly,the constitutive equations of the 3D bounding surface model are established by several steps.These steps include the bounding surface incorporating the general nonlinear strength criterion,stress-dilatancy equations,the evolution of the bounding surface and the bounding surface plasticity.Finally,the 3D bounding surface model is used to predict the mechanical behaviors of rockfill materials from the large-style triaxial compression tests and the true triaxial tests.Consequently,the proposed 3D bounding surface model can well capture such behaviors of rockfill materials as the strain hardening,the post-peak strain softening,and the volumetric strain contraction and expansion in both two-and three-dimensional stress spaces. | XIAO Yang LIU HanLong ZHU JunGao SHI WeiCheng LIU MengCheng | 2011 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,11: | 16 |

| 3 | A brief review of alternative propellants and requirements for pulsed plasma thrusters in micropropulsion applications显示文摘Technological miniaturization has enabled the development of small satellites weighing as little as 1 kg.Unfortunately,there is still a lack of suitable efficient micropropulsion systems at these scales.The pulsed plasma thruster is a structurally simple form of electric propulsion.This simplicity also makes it ideally suited for miniaturization.Its history can be traced back to applications in satellites that are much larger than micro/nano-satellites.The vast majority of modern pulsed plasma thrusters use solid polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)as a propellant.Unfortunately,at lower discharge energy levels such as those necessitated by the power limitations of micro/nano-satellites,PTFE has a tendency to exhibit carbon deposition,which can ultimately lead to thruster failure.In this new era of small satellites,it is important to consider alternative propellants in the miniaturization of pulsed plasma thrusters.This brief review discusses the needs and limitations of small satellites and alternative propellants that may be able to meet these needs.Such propellants may be able to offer advantages such as a longer thruster lifetime,a higher specific impulse,or a higher thrust-topower ratio.This would enable the development of different types of pulsed plasma thrusters that can be tailored towards specific mission requirements. | William Yeong Liang LING Song ZHANG Hao FU Mengcheng HUANG Justin QUANSAH Xiangyang LIU Ningfei WANG | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,12: | 3 |
| 4 | Chronic consumption of thermally processed palm oil or canola oil modified gut microflora of rats显示文摘Dietary oils have critical influences on human health,and thermally cooking or frying modify the components and nutritional functions of oils.Palm oil was the most widely used oil in food processing industry,but its health effects remain debatable.In the current study,we aimed to compare the effects of thermally oxidized palm oil and canola oil on gut microbiota.Palm oil or canola oil were heated at 180°C for 10 h to prepare high-fat diets.Rats were fed high-fat diets for 3 months,and hematological properties,gut microflora composition and intestinal gene expression were examined.The results indicated that heated canola oil consumption elevated plasma total cholesterol and LDL-c levels compared with unheated canola oil,but heated palm oil do not had these effects;and consumption of heated palm oil significantly elevated the relative abundance of Lactobacillucs and Roseburia in gut,compared with non-heated palm oil or two canola oil groups.Moreover,intestinal expression of IL-22 was increased in heated palm oil fed animal,though ZO-1 and GPR41 were reduced.In conclusion,heating process may enhance the effects of palm oil on proliferation of probiotics Lactobacillucs,and weaken the effects of canola oil on cholesterol transport and metabolism. | Mengcheng Ruan Yiran Bu Fangjie Wu Shijie Zhang Rulong Chen Na Li Zhiguo Liu Hualin Wan | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,1: | 1 |

| 7 | Reconfiguring dual-phase structure with equal micro-hardness to achieve double strength with slight ductility sacrifice显示文摘The application of duplex stainless steel is severely restricted owing to its inherently low yield strength.A high yield strength of duplex stainless steel is required to address the lightweight issues and re-duce the emission of polluting gasses.Herein,excellent mechanical properties of duplex stainless steel were achieved using a flash annealing treatment to obtain austenite and ferrite phases with equal hard-ness,and the yield strength doubled without a substantial ductility sacrifice.The improvement in yield strength was caused by the grain boundary strengthening(a contribution of 60%to the yield strength)and hetero-deformation-induced strengthening(remaining 40%contribution to the yield strength)owing to the significant difference in the strain partitioning between the two phases.The high strain-hardening capability ensured ductility without a significant decrease;this correlated to the multiple microstruc-ture deformation mechanisms.These mechanisms included the synergetic deformation of the ferrite with dislocation cell formation and austenite accompanied by the sequential appearance of dislocation accumulation,stacking faults,and deformation-induced nanoscale twins and martensite.Deformation-induced multilevel stacking fault networks and high-density Lomer-Cotterll locks further improved the strain hardening response by enhancing the hetero-deformation behavior of austenite and ferrite. | Xuebing Liu Mengcheng Zhou Xinfang Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,10: | 0 |
| 8 | PSPC1 regulates CHK1 phosphorylation through phase separation and participates in mouse oocyte maturation显示文摘Liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) underlies the formation of membraneless compartments in mammal cells. However, there are few reports that focus on the correlation of mouse oocyte maturation with LLPS. Previous studies have reported that paraspeckle component 1 (PSPC1) is related to the occurrence and development of tumors, but whether PSPC1 functions in mouse oocyte maturation is still unclear. Sequence analysis of PSPC1 protein showed that it contains a prion-like domain (PrLD) that is required for phase separation of proteins. In this study, we found that PSPC1 could undergo phase separation. Moreover, the loss of PrLD domain of PSPC1 could greatly weaken its phase separation ability. The immunofluorescence assays showed that PSPC1 is present in mouse oocytes in the germinal vesicle (GV) stage. Knockdown of PSPC1 significantly impeded the maturation of mouse oocytes in vitro. CHK1 has been reported to play important roles in the GV stage of mouse oocytes. Co-IP experiment revealed that PSPC1 could interact with phosphatase serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 5 (PPP5C), which regulates CHK1 phosphorylation. Western blot analysis revealed that PSPC1 could regulate the phosphorylation of CHK1 through PPP5C;however, PSPC1 without PrLD domain was inactive, suggesting that the lack of phase separation ability led to the abnormal function of PSPC1 in regulating CHK1 phosphorylation. Thus, we conclude that PSPC1 may undergo phase separation to regulate the phosphorylation level of CHK1 via PPP5C and participate in mouse oocyte maturation. | 9 | Per1/Per2 double knockout transcriptome analysis reveals circadian regulation of hepatic lipid metabolism显示文摘Scope: Circadian disorder and high-fat diet(HFD)can disturb lipid metabolism homeostasis and may promote the development of various metabolic diseases. The relationship between them is of great concern. This study aimed to explore the effects of Per1/Per2 double knockout(DKO)on hepatic lipid metabolism in mice under HFD and HFD with docosahexaenoic acid(DHA)substitution. Methods and results: Both wild type(WT)and DKO male C57BL/6 mice were fed with normal chow diet(CON), HFD, or HFD with DHA substitution(AO)for 15 weeks. At the end of the experiment, mice were sacrificed at zeitgeber time(ZT)0(7:00 am)or ZT12(7:00 pm). Pathological indicators were determined using histological and biochemical methods. Hepatic transcriptome sequencing analysis showed that DKO mice exhibited multiple dysfunctions in diurnal rhythm, drug metabolism, cell cycle, cancer pathways, and lipid metabolism. HFD had greater effects on fatty acid oxidation and cholesterol synthesis and metabolism in Per1-/-Per2-/-mice, which was improved by DHA substitution. Conclusions: Per1/Per2 played an important role in the circadian regulation of hepatic lipid metabolism, and DKO mice were more sensitive to HFD.
