1A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 2A distributed approach for lidar-based relative state estimation of multi-UAV in GPS-denied environments显示文摘In this paper,we present a distributed framework for the lidar-based relative state estimator which achieves highly accurate,real-time trajectory estimation of multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)in GPS-denied environments.The system builds atop a factor graph,and only on-board sensors and computing power are utilized.Benefiting from the keyframe strategy,each UAV performs relative state estimation individually and broadcasts very partial information without exchanging raw data.The complete system runs in real-time and is evaluated with three experiments in different environments.Experimental results show that the proposed distributed approach offers comparable performance with a centralized method in terms of accuracy and real-time performance.The flight test demonstrates that the proposed relative state estimation framework is able to be used for aggressive flights over 5 m/s.Hongming SHEN Qun ZONG Hanchen LU Xuewei ZHANG Bailing TIAN Lei HE 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,1:3

5Association Between Lipid Profiles and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy:New Evidence from a Retrospective Study显示文摘Objective To explore the association between lipid profiles and left ventricular hypertrophy in a Chinese general population.Methods We conducted a retrospective observational study to investigate the relationship between lipid markers[including triglycerides,total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein(HDL)cholesterol,non-HDL-cholesterol,apolipoprotein A-I,apolipoprotein B,lipoprotein[a],and composite lipid profiles]and left ventricular hypertrophy.A total of 309,400 participants of two populations(one from Beijing and another from nationwide)who underwent physical examinations at different health management centers between 2009 and 2018 in China were included in the cross-sectional study.7,475 participants who had multiple physical examinations and initially did not have left ventricular hypertrophy constituted a longitudinal cohort to analyze the association between lipid markers and the new-onset of left ventricular hypertrophy.Left ventricular hypertrophy was measured by echocardiography and defined as an end-diastolic thickness of the mterventricular septum or left ventricle posterior wall>11 mm.The Logistic regression model was used in the cross-sectional study.Cox model and Cox model with restricted cubic splines were used in the longitudinal cohort.Results In the cross-sectional study for participants in the highest tertile of each lipid marker compared to the respective lowest,triglycerides[odds ratio(OR):1.2S0,95%CI:1.060 to 1.474],HDL-cholesterol(OR:0.780,95%CI:0.662 to 0.918),and lipoprotein(a)(OR:1.311,95%C7:1.115 to 1.541)had an association with left ventricular hypertrophy.In the longitudinal cohort,for participants in the highest tertile of each lipid marker at the baseline compared to the respective lowest,triglycerides[hazard ratio(HR):3.277,95%C/:1.720 to 6.244],HDL-cholesterol(HR:0.516,95%C7:0.283 to 0.940),non-HDL-cholesterol(HR:2.309,95%C/:1.296 to 4.112),apolipoprotein B(HR:2.244,95%CI:1.251 to 4.032)showed an association with new-onset left ventricular hypertrophy.In the Cox model with forward stepwise selection,triglycerides were the only lipid markers entered into the final model.Conclusion Lipids levels,especially triglycerides,are associated with left ventricular hypertrophy.Controlling triglycerides level potentiate to be a strategy in harnessing cardiac remodeling but deserve to be furdier investigated.Xuewei Huang Keqiong Deng Juanjuan Qin Fang Lei Xingyuan Zhang Wenxin Wang Lijin Lin Yuming Zheng Dongai Yao Huiming Lu Feng Liu Lidong Chen Guilan Zhang Yueping Liu Qiongyu Yang Jingjing Cai Zhigang She Hongliang Li 2022Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022,37,2:1

8Gentianine protects hippocampal neurons in a rat model of recurrent febrile convulsion显示文摘Gentianine has been shown to have a protective effect on hippocampal CA1 neurons in rats subjected to recurrent febrile convulsion(FC).The present study sought to explore the possible mechanism of gentianine by intraperitoneally injecting gentianine into rats with warm water-induced FC.The results revealed that neuronal organelle injury was slightly ameliorated in the hippocampal CA1 region.The level of glutamate was decreased,but the level of γ-aminobutyric acid was increased,as detected by ninhydrin staining.In addition,glutamate acid decarboxylase expression in hippocampal CA1 was increased,as determined by immunohistochemistry.The results demonstrated that gentianine can ameliorate FC-induced neuronal injury by enhancing glutamate acid decarboxylase activity,decreasing glutamate levels and increasing γ-aminobutyric acid levels.Xuewei Liu Shumin Liu Na Wang Fang Lu Min Cao 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,15:1
9Synthesis and optical properties of poly[(4-(benzoxazole-2-yl)phenyl)methyl methacrylate] with 1,8-naphthalimide end group显示文摘A series of homopolymers,poly[(4-(benzoxazole-2-yl)phenyl)methyl methacrylate] (NAPH-PMABEs) containing benzoxazole side chain and 1,8-naphthalimide end group,were prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and end-group modification. The structure of NAPH-PMABE was char-acterized by GPC,1H-NMR and UV-vis spectra. The polymer has good solubility in common organic solvents,such as dichloromethane (CH2Cl2),tetrahydrofuran (THF),N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF),chloroform (CHCl3),acetone and toluene. The optical properties of NAPH-PMABE were investigated. Results show that NAPH-PMABE has a composite emission spectrum comprising an ultraviolet com-ponent originating from benzoxazole side chains and a green component originating from 1,8-naphthalimide end group in both solution and film. 11Brasenia-inspired hydrogel with sustained and sequential release of BMP and WNT activators for improved bone regeneration显示文摘Although bone morphogenetic protein(BMP) and WNT signaling play pivotal roles in bone development,homeostasis, and regeneration, the applications of proteins to stimulate corresponding signaling pathways showed limited outcomes in the repair and regeneration of bone defects that might be attributed to the reciprocal interventions of these pathways. In order to satisfy the combinational and sequential activation of BMP and WNT pathways, inspired by the heterogeneous hydrogel-liked structures of Brasenia, heterogeneous alginate/chitosan hydrogels were fabricated and spatially loaded with FK506 and BIO to achieve sustained and sequential release of the activators. Alkaline phosphatase staining, alizarin red staining and q RT-PCR results suggested that FK506 and BIO enhanced osteoblastic differentiation in vitro when used separately. Besides, by mixing and matching the activators and the hydrogel layers, a superior releasing mode that a combination of early FK506 release and following BIO release was identified via both in vitro and in vivo explorations for most efficient bone regeneration. 12Different therapeutic proportion of patients undergone coronary angiography in the era of development in MSCT显示文摘Objective To study the different therapeutic proportion of the patient populations undergone coronary angiography (CAG) in the era of development in multislice spiral computed tomography(MSCT). Methods Two hundred and fifty four consecutive patients(mean age 59.24±10.65) , who underwent CAG at Daxing Hospital from February 2007 through October 2007, were enrolled, 160 patients were male and 94 were female. By evaluating from the coronary angiogram, the patients were not diagnosed to have coronary heart disease(CHD) with less than 50% diameter stenosis of coronary artery; the patients to have CHD with more than or equal to 50% stenosis of coronary artery; the patients were performed the procedure of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) with more than or equal to 70% stenosis; the patients were proposed to have coronary aortic bypass graft(CABG) surgery with left main coronary artery lesions or diffuse triple coronary artery lesions. Results In the 254 consecutive patients, 59 patients(23.2%) had not been diagnosed to have CHD; 195(76.8%)to have CHD, of these patients with CHD, 49 patients(19.3%)were not indicated for PCI (including the patients receiving follow-up coronary angiography after stenting), 81(31.9%)had been performed the procedure of stent implantation, 57(22.4%)proposed to have CABG, 8(3.1%)the procedure of PCI had not been successful, or had not been performed because of patients opposing to this therapy. 13Haploidentical stem cell transplantation used in treating primary plasma cell leukemia: a case report显示文摘Here we report a successful protocol in treatment of a patient with primary plasma cell leukemia (PPCL) using haploidentical stem cell transplantation (hi-HSCT). During first complete remission after routine chemotherapy, the patient received autologous blood stem cell transplantation, but he had relapse later. He gained a second CR after chemotherapy and underwent hi-HSCT from his daughter, who had HLA mismatched at three loci. Recovery of hemopoiesis was found at day 14 and complete donor chimerism was confirmed by PCR-STR on day 34, 95 and 238. 14Molecular profiling reveals potential targets in cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘BACKGROUND Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)is a devastating malignancy and has a very poor prognosis if tumors spread outside the liver.Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the CCA progression will likely yield therapeutic approaches toward treating this deadly disease.AIM To determine the molecular pathogenesis in CCA progression.METHODS In silico analysis,in vitro cell culture,CCA transgenic animals,histological,and molecular assays were adopted to determine the molecular pathogenesis.RESULTS The transcriptomic data of human CCA samples were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TGCA,CHOL),European Bioinformatics Institute(EBI,GAD-00001001076),and Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO,GSE107943)databases.Using Gene set enrichment analysis,the cell cycle and Notch related pathways were demonstrated to be significantly activated in CCA in TCGA and GEO datasets.We,through differentially expressed genes,found several cell cycle and notch associated genes were significantly up-regulated in cancer tissues when compared with the non-cancerous control samples.The associated genes,via quantitative real-time PCR and western blotting assays,were further examined in normal human cholangiocytes,CCA cell lines,mouse normal bile ducts,and mouse CCA tumors established by specifically depleting P53 and expressing KrasG12D mutation in the liver.Consistently,we validated that the cell cycle and Notch pathways are up-regulated in CCA cell lines and mouse CCA tumors.Interestingly,targeting cell cycle and notch pathways using small molecules also exhibited significant beneficial effects in controlling tumor malignancy.More importantly,we demonstrated that several cell cycle and Notch associated genes are significantly associated with poor overall survival and disease-free survival using the Log-Rank test.CONCLUSION In summary,our study comprehensively analyzed the gene expression pattern of CCA samples using publicly available datasets and identified the cell cycle and Notch pathways are potential therapeutic targets in this deadly disease.Dan Liu Yang Shi Hongze Chen Muhammad Azhar Nisar Nicholas Jabara Noah Langwinski Sophia Mattson Katsuya Nagaoka Xuewei Bai Shaolei Lu Chiung-Kuei Huang 2023World Journal of Gastroenterology2023,29,25:0
15Copper-tetracyanoquinodimethane-derived copper electrocatalysts for highly selective carbon dioxide reduction to ethylene显示文摘As one of the most promising CO_(2)utilization techniques,electrochemical CO_(2)reduction has recently received considerable attention.Cu is a unique electrocatalyst that can convert CO_(2)to value-added multi-carbon chemicals.Nevertheless,Cu catalysts are always limited by the poor selectivity and stability.Here,we report that using copper-tetracyanoquinodimethane(CuTCNQ)derived Cu nanoparticles as efficient electrocatalysts for conversion of CO_(2)to ethylene characteristic with high selectivity and stability,showing 56%Faradaic efficiency(FE)to C2H4 at−1.3 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).Upon the electrochemical CO_(2)reduction,CuTCNQ slowly reconstructs to Cu nanoparticles with abundant grain boundaries and residual Cu+on the surface.Theoretical calculation and operando characterization disclose that both as-formed Cu nanoparticle grain boundaries and residual Cu+endow the catalyst with high selectivity toward ethylene.Furthermore,during the reconstruction of CuTCNQ to Cu nanoparticles,the grain boundaries Cu surface is slowly refreshed by continual addition of Cu atoms,thus inhibiting the surface passivation and guaranteeing the electrocatalytic stability.Xuewei Huang Dawei Wang Shuhao Yan Pengfei An Jianyu Han Zhiyu Guo Xinwei Li Zhongjun Chen Lin Chang Siyu Lu Zhiyong Tang 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:0
16Design of a Flexible Bionic Ankle Prosthesis Based on Subject-specific Modeling of the Human Musculoskeletal System显示文摘A variety of prosthetic ankles have been successfully developed to reproduce the locomotor ability for lower limb amputees in daily lives. However, they have not been shown to sufficiently improve the natural gait mechanics commonly observed in comparison to the able-bodied, perhaps due to over-simplified designs of functional musculoskeletal structures in prostheses. In this study, a flexible bionic ankle prosthesis with joints covered by soft material inclusions is developed on the basis of the human musculoskeletal system. First, the healthy side ankle–foot bones of a below-knee amputee were reconstructed by CT imaging. Three types of polyurethane rubber material configurations were then designed to mimic the soft tissues around the human ankle, providing stability and flexibility. Finite element simulations were conducted to determine the proper design of the rubber materials, evaluate the ankle stiffness under different external conditions, and calculate the rotation axes of the ankle during walking. The results showed that the bionic ankle had variable stiffness properties and could adapt to various road surfaces. It also had rotation axes similar to that of the human ankle, thus restoring the function of the talocrural and subtalar joints. The inclination and deviation angles of the talocrural axis, 86.2° and 75.1°, respectively, as well as the angles of the subtalar axis, 40.1° and 29.9°, were consistent with the literature. 17A Rational Design of Heterojunction Photocatalyst Cd S Interfacing with One Cycle of ALD Oxide显示文摘Photo-corrosion is one of the major obstacles for Cd S application in wet chemical fields, and atomic layer deposition(ALD) has been proposed as an effective way to suppress the corrosion. Here, prior to ALD coating, Cd S, one facilely corrosive photocatalyst, was synthesized via hydrothermal synthesis to access the fundamental corrosion mechanism and the according corrosive sites. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) demonstrated that the failure of catalytic decomposition of methylene blue originated from the formation of soluble Cd SO_4 by oxidizing S^(2-) of as-prepared Cd S. High resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) further identified the active sites in the V-shaped regions of Cd S nanoparticles, confirmed by the simulated electric field distribution. To rationally coat oxides on Cd S, the right candidates and their thicknesses have been considered by our tunneling model with transfer matrix method based on quantum mechanism, upon which the thickness of protective layer should be less than 0.5 nm to maintain a high tunneling probability, and thus one cycle of ALD Ti O_2 or Al_2O_3 was proposed to passivate the Cd S powder to balance the carrier transportation and corrosion suppression. Based on HRTEM results, we found that the active V-shaped region was covered by ALD oxides(TiO_2 or Al_2O_3). For each case, no soluble Cd SO_4 has been found before and after photocatalytic reactions based XPS measurements.
