2Engineering cobalt sulfide/oxide heterostructure with atomically mixed interfaces for synergistic electrocatalytic water splitting显示文摘It remains challenging to develop economical and bifunctional electrocatalysts toward oxygen/hydrogen evolution reactions(OER/HER).Herein,we construct Co_(9)S_(8) nanoflakes decorated Co_(3)O_(4) nanoarrays with enriched heterogeneous interface zones on Ni foam(Co_(9)S_(8)@CO_(3)O_(4)/NF)via a novel step-wise approach.The Co_(9)S_(8)@Co_(3)O_(4)/NF hybrid manifests excellent performance with low overpotentials of 130 mV for HER(10 mA·cm^(-2))and 331 mV for OER(100 mA·cm^(-2)),delivering a small voltage of 1.52 V for water splitting at 10 mA·cm^(-2) as well as outstanding catalytic durability,which surpasses precious metals and previously reported earth-abundant nanocatalysts.Further experimental and theoretical investigations demonstrate that the excellent performance is attributed to the followings:(i)Highly conductive Ni facilitates the efficient charge transfer;(ii)porous core-shell nanoarchitecture benefits the infiltration and transportation of gases/ions;(iii)heterogeneous interface zones synergistically lower the chemisorption energy of hydrogen/oxygen intermediates.This work will shed light on the controllable synthesis and engineering of heterostructure nanomaterials for clean energy storage and conversion technologies.Xiaoyang Wang Yu He Xiaopeng Han Jun Zhao Lanlan Li Jinfeng Zhang Cheng Zhong Yida Deng Wenbin Hu 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:2

7The win-win pathway of economic growth and CO_2 emission reduction:a case study for China显示文摘Continuously reducing the CO_2 intensity of GDP is the core strategy for developing countries to realize the dual targets of economic growth and CO_2 emissions reduction. The measures are twofold: one is to strengthen energy saving and decrease energy intensity of GDP and the other is to promote energy structural decarbonization and reduce CO_2 intensity of energy consumption. In order to control global temperature rise no more than 2℃, the decrease in CO_2 intensity of GDP needs surpass 4% before 2030, but it could be merely about 2% based on the current trend. Therefore, all countries ought to speed up the low-carbon transition in energy and economy. As for China, keeping a continuous decline in CO_2 intensity of GDP of 4%-5% will ensure the realization of the NDC objectives, and also promotes the early peaking of CO_2 emissions before 2030. 9Flexible, self-cleaning, and high-performance ceramic nanofiber-based moist-electric generator enabled by interfacial engineering显示文摘Due to their long-term stability, even under extreme conditions, oxide ceramics have attracted significant attention in emerging fields like moist-electric generation. However, the inherent brittleness and low voltage output of oxide ceramic-based moistelectric generators(MEGs) limit their applications in wearable electronics. Herein, a facile strategy involving the combination of sol-gel electrospinning and calcination is used to fabricate flexible and freestanding Ti O_(2)/Zr O_(2)(TZ) composite nanofiber-based MEGs. The excellent flexibility of the TZ nanofiber membranes can be attributed to the suppression of their crystal structure transformation, dispersion of stress concentration, and reduction of crack propagation via interfacial engineering. The porous structure of the electrospun nanofiber membrane features an abundance of charged narrow channels for the diffusion of water molecules and generates a streaming potential. The optimal voltage output reached ~0.8 V, which is the highest value reported for an oxide ceramic-based MEG. Furthermore, the as-fabricated nanofiber-based MEG exhibits good self-cleaning capability to degrade organic pollutants under ultraviolet irradiation. 10Worldwide impacts of atmospheric vapor pressure deficit on the interannual variability of terrestrial carbon sinks显示文摘Interannual variability of the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink is substantially regulated by various environmental variables and highly dominates the interannual variation of atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))concentrations.Thus,it is necessary to determine dominating factors affecting the interannual variability of the carbon sink to improve our capability of predicting future terrestrial carbon sinks.Using global datasets derived from machine-learning methods and process-based ecosystem models,this study reveals that the inter annual variability of the atmospheric vapor pressure deficit(VPD)was significantly negatively correlated with net ecosystem production(NEP)and substantially impacted the inter annual variability of the atmospheric CO_(2)growth rate(CGR).Further analyses found widespread constraints of VPD interannual variability on terrestrial gross primary production(GPP),causing VPD to impact NEP and CGR.Partial correlation analysis confirms the persistent and widespread impacts of VPD on terrestrial carbon sinks compared to other environmental variables.Current Earth system models underestimate the interannual variability in VPD and its impacts on GPP and NEP.Our results highlight the importance of VPD for terrestrial carbon sinks in assessing ecosystems'responses to future climate conditions.Bin He Chen Chen Shangrong Lin Wenping Yuan Hans WChen Deliang Chen Yafeng Zhang Lanlan Guo Xiang Zhao Xuebang Liu Shilong Piao Ziqian Zhong Rui Wang Rui Tang 2022National Science Review2022,9,4:1

12Microclimate Effect of Artificial Caragana microphylla Communities in Horqin Sandy Land显示文摘Caragana microphylla is one of the key species for vegetation restoration in Horqin Sandy Land. Adopting field investigation and outdoor experiments,the microclimate effect of artificial C. microphylla communities with different restoration years were studied by observing wind velocity,air temperature,relative humidity and soil temperature. The results show that:( 1) Caragana microphylla community has an obvious wind-breaking effect near ground surface. Compared with shifting dunes,the wind velocity in the 6-year-old and 11-year-old C. microphylla shrubs at the height of 30 cm separately decreases by 71. 9% and 76. 0%.( 2) Mean daily temperature in the 6-year-old and 11-yearold C. microphylla communities is 3. 7 ℃ and 4. 9 ℃ lower than in shifting dunes,respectively.( 3) The relative humidity of air in the Caragana microphylla shrubs is higher than in shifting dunes.( 4) Soil temperature in C. microphylla plantation is lower than in shifting dunes. 14A crosslinked polymer as dopant-free hole-transport material for efficient n-i-p type perovskite solar cells显示文摘A new crosslinked polymer,called P65,with appropriate photo-electrochemical,opto-electronic,and thermal properties,has been designed and synthesized as an efficient,dopant-free,hole-transport material(HTM)for n-i-p type planar perovskite solar cells(PSCs).P65 is obtained from a low-cost and easily synthesized spiro[fluorene-9,90-xanthene]-30,60-diol(SFX-OH)-based monomer X65 through a freeradical polymerization reaction.The combination of a three-dimensional(3 D)SFX core unit,holetransport methoxydiphenylamine group,and crosslinked polyvinyl network provides P65 with good solubility and excellent film-forming properties.By employing P65 as a dopant-free hole-transport layer in conventional n-i-p type PSCs,a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of up to 17.7%is achieved.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first time a 3 D,crosslinked,polymeric dopant-free HTM has been reported for use in conventional n-i-p type PSCs.This study provides a new strategy for the future development of a 3 D crosslinked polymeric dopant-free HTM with a simple synthetic route and low-cost for commercial,large-scale applications in future PSCs.Linqin Wang Fuguo Zhang Tianqi Liu Wei Zhang Yuanyuan Li Bin Cai Lanlan He Yu Guo Xichuan Yang Bo Xu James M.Gardner Lars Kloo Licheng Sun 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:0
15Click CAR-T cell engineering for robustly boosting cell immunotherapy in blood and subcutaneous xenograft tumor显示文摘The adoptive transfer of chimeric antigen receptor-T(CAR-T)cells has shown remarkable clinical responses in hematologic malignancies.However,unsatisfactory curative results and side effects for tumor treatment are still unsolved problems.Herein we develop a click CAR-T cell engineering strategy via cell glycometabolic labeling for robustly boosting their antitumor effects and safety in vivo.Briefly,paired chemical groups(N3/BCN)are separately incorporated into CAR-T cell and tumor via nondestructive intrinsic glycometabolism of exogenous Ac4GalNAz and Ac4ManNBCN,serving as an artificial ligand-receptor.Functional groups anchored on cell surface strengthen the interaction of CAR-T cell and tumor via bioorthogonal click chemistry,further enhancing specific recognition,migration and selective antitumor effects of CAR-T cells.In vivo,click CAR-T cell completely removes lymphoma cells and minimizes off-target toxicity via selective and efficient bioorthogonal targeting in blood cancer.Surprisingly,compared to unlabeled cells,artificial bioorthogonal targeting significantly promotes the accumulation,deep penetration and homing of CAR-T cells into tumor tissues,ultimately improving its curative effect for solid tumor.Click CAR-T cell engineering robustly boosts selective recognition and antitumor capabilities of CAR T cells in vitro and in vivo,thereby holding a great potential for effective clinical cell immunotherapy with avoiding adverse events in patients.Hong Pan Wenjun Li Ze Chen Yingmei Luo Wei He Mengmeng Wang Xiaofan Tang Huamei He Lanlan Liu Mingbin Zheng Xin Jiang Ting Yin Ruijing Liang Yifan Ma Lintao Cai 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,4:0
16The OsBZR1-OsSPX1/2 module fine-tunes the growth-immunity trade-off in adaptation to phosphate availability in rice显示文摘The growth-promoting hormones brassinosteroids(BRs)and their key signaling component BZR1 play a vital role in balancing normal growth and defense reactions.Here,we discovered that BRs and OsBZR1 up-regulated sakuranetin accumulation and conferred basal defense against Magnaporthe oryzae infection under normal conditions.Resource shortages,including phosphate(Pi)deficiency,potentially disrupt this growth-defense balance.OsSPX1 and OsSPX2 have been reported to sense Pi concentration and interact with the Pi signal mediator OsPHR2,thus regulating Pi starvation responses.In this study,we discovered that OsSPX1/2 interacts with OsBZR1 in both Pi-sufficient and Pi-deficient conditions,inhibit-ing BR-responsive genes.When Pi is sufficient,OsSPX1/2 is captured by OsPHR2,enabling most of OsBzR1 to promote plant growth and maintain basal resistance.In response to Pi starvation,more OsSPX1/2 is released from OsPHR2 to inhibit OsBZR1 activity,resulting in slower growth.Collectively,our study reveals that the OsBZR1-SPX1/2 module balances the plant growth-immunity trade-off in responsetoPiavailability.He Y.,Zhao Y.,Hu J.,Wang L.,Li L.,Zhang X.,Zhou Z.,Chen L.,Wang H.,Wang J.,and Hong G.(2024).The OsBZR1-OsSPX1/2 module fine-tunes the growth-immunity trade-off in adaptation to phosphate availability in esponse to Pi availability.Yuqing He Yao Zhao Jitao Hu Lanlan Wang Linying Li Xueying Zhang Zhongjing Zhou Lili Chen Hua Wangl Jiaoyu Wang Gaojie Hong 2024Molecular Plant2024,17,2:0
