2男性包皮环切对降低生殖道感染和预防生殖道肿瘤的意义显示文摘越来越多的的研究结果证明,男性包皮环切显著降低包皮龟头炎和尿路感染及其他生殖道感染、降低HIV和HPV以及HSV-2与其他性传播疾病感染风险,对生殖道肿瘤,如子宫颈癌、阴茎癌和前列腺癌具有预防作用。目前在中国包皮环切率低于5%。商环包皮环切术在非洲的临床评估试验和大样本随机对照试验结果证实,商环具有安全性好、可接受性和满意度高。世界卫生组织(WHO)和联合国艾滋病规划署(UNAIDS)已将男性包皮环切推荐为艾滋病预防策略的重要干预措施之一,中国应该大力提倡安全的包皮环切术,从而降低男性及其女性伴侣生殖道感染、预防生殖道肿瘤,对改善全民生殖健康具有长期影响和深远意义。研究男性包皮环切对公共卫生的深远影响将成为今后泌尿男科工作的重点之一。赵福军 李石华 吕年青 Richard LEE 彭弋峰 程峰 李铮 许豪勤 Mark BARONE Marc GOLDSTEIN 夏术阶 2014中华男科学杂志2014,20,11:28
3激光熔覆镍基金属陶瓷涂层的组织性能研究显示文摘运用 5kWCO2 连续激光器在 16Mn钢表面激光熔覆镍基B4 C金属陶瓷层 (NB4 C)和镍基SiC金属陶瓷层(NSiC) ,研究了两种激光熔覆层的组织、结构、显微硬度及滑动磨损特性 ,并用激光熔覆镍基合金层 (Ni6 0 )进行了滑动磨损对比试验。结果表明 ,熔覆合金层显微组织由枝晶固溶体及其间细密的共晶组织组成 ,NB4 C熔覆层主要组成相为γ Ni,γ (Ni,Fe) ,(Cr,Fe) 7C3,CrB ,Ni3B ,Fe2 B ,Fe2 3(C ,B) 6 和B4 C等 ,NSiC熔覆层主要组成相为γ Ni,γ (Fe,Ni) ,(Cr,Fe) 7C3,Cr2 3C6 和 (Cr ,Si) 3Ni3Si等。三种激光熔覆层的显微硬度及耐滑动磨损性能由高到低的顺序为 :NB4 C→NSiC→Ni6 0。斯松华 袁晓敏 何宜柱 Je-Hyun Lee Mark T.Lusk 2002中国激光2002,29,8:28
4Effects of interventions on oxidative stress and inflammation of cardiovascular diseases显示文摘Excessive oxidative stress and low-grade chronic inflammation are major pathophysiological factors contributing to the development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) such as hypertension, diabetes and atherosclerosis. Accumulating evidence suggests that a compromised antioxidant system can lead to excessive oxidative stress in cardiovascular related organs, resulting in cell damage and death. In addition, increased circulating levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor α, interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein, are closely related to morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular complications. Emerging evidence suggests that interventions including nutrition, pharmacology and exercise may activate expression of cellular anti-oxidant systems via the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2-Kelchlike ECH-associated protein 1 signaling pathway and play a role in preventing inflammatory processes in CVD. The focus of the present review is to summarize recent evidence showing the role of these anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory interventions in cardiovascular disease. 6Evolving concepts in bone infection: redefining “biofilm”,“acute vs. chronic osteomyelitis”, “the immune proteome” and “local antibiotic therapy”显示文摘Osteomyelitis is a devastating disease caused by microbial infection of bone. While the frequency of infection following elective orthopedic surgery is low, rates of reinfection are disturbingly high. Staphylococcus aureus is responsible for the majority of chronic osteomyelitis cases and is often considered to be incurable due to bacterial persistence deep within bone. Unfortunately, there is no consensus on clinical classifications of osteomyelitis and the ensuing treatment algorithm. Given the high patient morbidity,mortality, and economic burden caused by osteomyelitis, it is important to elucidate mechanisms of bone infection to inform novel strategies for prevention and curative treatment. Recent discoveries in this field have identified three distinct reservoirs of bacterial biofilm including: Staphylococcal abscess communities in the local soft tissue and bone marrow, glycocalyx formation on implant hardware and necrotic tissue, and colonization of the osteocyte-lacuno canalicular network(OLCN) of cortical bone. In contrast, S.aureus intracellular persistence in bone cells has not been substantiated in vivo, which challenges this mode of chronic osteomyelitis. There have also been major advances in our understanding of the immune proteome against S. aureus, from clinical studies of serum antibodies and media enriched for newly synthesized antibodies(MENSA), which may provide new opportunities for osteomyelitis diagnosis, prognosis, and vaccine development. Finally, novel therapies such as antimicrobial implant coatings and antibiotic impregnated 3D-printed scaffolds represent promising strategies for preventing and managing this devastating disease. 8Analysis of Autopilot Disengagements Occurring During Autonomous Vehicle Testing显示文摘In present-day highly-automated vehicles, there are occasions when the driving system disengages and the human driver is required to take-over. This is of great importance to a vehicle's safety and ride comfort. In the U.S state of California, the Autonomous Vehicle Testing Regulations require every manufacturer testing autonomous vehicles on public roads to submit an annual report summarizing the disengagements of the technology experienced during testing. On 1 January 2016,seven manufacturers submitted their first disengagement reports:Bosch, Delphi, Google, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Tesla Motors. This work analyses the data from these disengagement reports with the aim of gaining abetter understanding of the situations in which a driver is required to takeover, as this is potentially useful in improving the Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE) Level 2 and Level 3 automation technologies.Disengagement events from testing are classified into different groups based on attributes and the causes of disengagement are investigated and compared in detail. The mechanisms and time taken for take-over transition occurred in disengagements are studied. 15Phase stability and mechanical properties of wire+arc additively manufactured H13 tool steel at elevated temperatures显示文摘Wire+arc additive manufacturing(WAAM)is considered an innovative technology that can change the manufacturing landscape in the near future.WAAM offers the benefits of inexpensive initial system setup and a high deposition rate for fabricating medium-and large-sized parts such as die-casting tools.In this study,AISI H13 tool steel,a popular die-casting tool metal,is manufactured by cold metal transfer(CMT)-based WAAM and is then comprehensively analyzed for its microstructural and mechanical properties.Location-dependent phase combinations are observed,which could be explained by nonequilibrium thermal cycles that resulted from the layer-by-layer stacking mechanism used in WAAM.In addition,remelting and reheating of the layers reduces welding anomalies(e.g.,pores and voids).The metallurgical characteristics of the H13 strongly correlate with the mechanical properties.The combinations of phases at different locations of the additively manufactured part exhibit a periodic microhardness profile.Martensite,Retained Austenite,Ferrite,and Carbide phases are found in combination at different locations of the part based on the part’s temperature distribution during additive deposition.Moreover,the tensile properties at elevated temperatures(23℃,300℃,and 600℃)are comparable to those from other WAAM and additive manufacturing(AM)processes.The X-ray diffraction results verify that the microstructural stability of the fabricated parts at high temperatures would allow them to be used in high temperatures.A.N.M.Tanvir Md.R.U.A hsan Gijeong Seo Brian Bates Chanho Lee Peter K.Liaw Mark Noakese Andrzej Nycz Changwook Ji Duck Bong Kim 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,8:5

18Local Variability in Temperature, Humidity and Radiation in the BaekduDaegan Mountain Protected Area of Korea显示文摘A novel embedded sensor network records changes in key climatic-environmental variables over a range of altitude in the BaekduDaegan Mountain (BDM) of Gangwon Province in Korea, a protected mountain region with unique biodiversity undergoing climate change research. The investigated area is subdivided into three horizontal north-south study areas. Three variables, temperature (T, ℃), relative humidity (RH, %), and light intensity (LI, lumens m -2 , or lux, lx), have been continuously measured at hourly intervals from June, 2010 to September, 2011 using HOBO H8 devices at 10 fixed study sites. These hourly observations are aggregated to monthly, seasonal and annual mean values, and results are summarized to inaugurate a long-term climate change investigation. A region wide T difference in accordance with altitude, or lapse rate, over the interval is calculated as 0.4℃100 m -1 . T lapse rates change seasonally, with winter lapse rates being greater than those of summer. RH is elevated in summer compared to other seasons. LI within forestland is lower during summer and higher during other seasons. 19Handgrip strength and health outcomes: Umbrella review of systematic reviews with meta-analyses of observational studies显示文摘Purpose:The aim of the present study was to assess both the credibility and strength of evidence arising from systematic reviews with meta-analyses of observational studies on handgrip strength and health outcomes.Methods:An umbrella review of systematic reviews with meta-analyses of observational studies was conducted.We assessed meta-analyses of observational studies based on random-effect summary effect sizes and their p values,95%prediction intervals,heterogeneity,small-study effects,and excess significance.We graded the evidence from convincing(Class I)to weak(Class IV).Results:From 504 articles returned in a search of the literature,8 systematic reviews were included in our review,with a total of 11 outcomes.Overall,nine of the 11 of the outcomes reported nominally significant summary results(p<0.05),with 4 associations surviving the application of the more stringent p value(p<106).No outcome presented convincing evidence.Three associations showed Class II evidence(i.e.,highly suggestive):(1)higher handgrip values at baseline were associated with a minor reduction in mortality risk in the general population(n=34 studies;sample size=1,855,817;relative risk=0.72,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.670.78),(2)cardiovascular death risk in mixed populations(n=15 studies;relative risk=0.84,95%CI:0.780.91),and(3)incidence of disability(n=7 studies;relative risk=0.76,95%CI:0.660.87).Conclusion:The present results show that handgrip strength is a useful indicator for general health status and specifically for early all-cause and cardiovascular mortality,as well as disability.To further inform intervention strategies,future research is now required to fully understand mechanisms linking handgrip strength scores to these health outcomes.Pinar Soysal Christopher Hurst Jacopo Demurtas Joseph Firth Reuben Howden Lin Yang Mark A.Tully Ai Koyanagi Petre Cristian Ilie Guillermo F.Lopez-Sanchez Lukas Schwingshackl Nicola Veronese Lee Smith 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,3:5
