1A portable viable Salmonella detection device based on microfluidic chip and recombinase aided amplification显示文摘creening of foodborne pathogens is important to prevent contaminated foods from their supply chains.n this study, a portable detection device was developed for rapid, sensitive and simple detection of viable almonella using a finger-actuated microfluidic chip and an improved recombinase aided amplification (RAA) assay. Improved propidium monoazide(PMAxx) was combined with RAA to enable this device to distinguish viable bacteria from dead ones. The modification of PMAxx into dead bacteria, the magnetic xtraction of nucleic acids from viable bacteria and the RAA detection of extracted nucleic acids were performed using the microfluidic chip on its supporting device by finger press-release operations. The fluorescent signal resulting from RAA amplification of the nucleic acids was collected using a USB camera nd analyzed using a self-developed smartphone App to quantitatively determine the bacterial concenration. This device could detect Salmonella typhimurium in spiked chicken meats from 1.3 × 10^(2) CFU/m L o 1.3 × 10^(7) CFU/m L in 2 h with a lower detection limit of 130 CFU/m L, and has shown its potential for on-site detection of foodborne pathogens.Wuzhen Qi Siyuan Wang Lei Wang Xinge Xi Shangyi Wu Yanbin Li Ming Liao Jianhan Lin 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,2:2

3Rheological properties and fractal-rheology analysis of peanut protein isolate suspension显示文摘This study focuses on the non-linear rheological property and microstructure of peanut protein isolate(PPI)aggregation suspension.The impact of higher harmonics(I3 and I5)on fundamental stress wave during large amplitude oscillatory shear test was studied.Rheological test show that storage modulus G′and loss modulus G″increased with increasing PPI concentration.The non-linear viscoelastic properties of PPI suspension with different concentration were investigated.Using confocal laser-scanning microscopy method,this research explored the microstructure of PPI suspension as well as the fractal dimensions.The new critical strain indirect method combined with Wu-Morbidelli model to calculate the fractal dimension(2.9225)is very close to the actual fractal dimension(2.9206).Fourier Transform Rheology was adopted to get the new critical strain for fractal dimension calculation,which was proved to be feasible.Chonghao Bi Shangyi Chi Zhe Hua Dong Li Zhigang Huang Yi Liu 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,6:1

5Computational Study of Ternary Devices: Stable, Low-Cost,and Efficient Planar Perovskite Solar Cells显示文摘Although perovskite solar cells with power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) more than 22% have been realized with expensive organic charge-transporting materials, their stability and high cost remain to be addressed. In this work, the perovskite configuration of MAPbX(MA = CH_3 NH_3,X = I_3, Br_3, or I_2Br) integrated with stable and low-cost Cu:Ni Oxhole-transporting material, ZnO electron-transporting material, and Al counter electrode was modeled as a planar PSC and studied theoretically. A solar cell simulation program(wx AMPS), which served as an update of the popular solar cell simulation tool(AMPS: Analysis of Microelectronic and Photonic Structures), was used. The study yielded a detailed understanding of the role of each component in the solar celland its effect on the photovoltaic parameters as a whole. The bandgap of active materials and operating temperature of the modeled solar cell were shown to influence the solar cell performance in a significant way. Further, the simulation results reveal a strong dependence of photovoltaic parameters on the thickness and defect density of the light-absorbing layers. 6Thermodynamic Assessment of Reactions between Yttrium and Tramp Elements in Petroleum Pipe Steel显示文摘In the thermodynamic evaluation Y was selected as a typical heavy rare earth metal for reducing the detrmental effects of tramp elements in the petroleum pipe steel. The possibilities of reactions between Y and trampelements such as Sn, Sb, As, etc. after deoxidation and desulphurization were estimated by calculating the Gibbsfree energies of formation. 7New insights into the pathogenesis and management of rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Over the past few decades, understanding of the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has improved substantially. Insights into the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in RA have enabled the discovery of new therapeutic targets and led to the development of biologics and targeted synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs. In parallel with the improvement in therapies, the evolution of strategies in the management of RA has also contributed considerably to better outcomes in patients. Major changes include the development of disease activity measures, formulation of the treat-to-target principles as well as increased attention to comorbidities. The presence of comorbidities such as cardiovascular diseases may increase the mortality of RA patients, affect their treatment strategies and result in worse outcomes. Therefore, prevention and management of certain high-risk comorbidities have become increasingly important in the long-term treatment of RA. 8Hepatic Zbtb18 (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 18) alleviates hepatic steatohepatitis via FXR (Farnesoid X Receptor)显示文摘A lasting imbalance between fatty acid synthesis and consumption leads to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),coupled with hepatitis and insulin resistance.Yet the details of the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood.Here,we unraveled that the expression of the transcription factor Zbtb18 is markedly decreased in the livers of both patients and murine models of NAFLD.Hepatic Zbtb18 knockout promoted NAFLD features like impaired energy expenditure and fatty acid oxidation(FAO),and induced insulin resistance.Conversely,hepatic Zbtb18 overexpression alleviated hepato-steatosis,insulin resistance,and hyperglycemia in mice fed on a high-fat diet(HFD)or in diabetic mice.Notably,in vitro and in vivo mechanistic studies revealed that Zbtb18 transcriptional activation of Farnesoid X receptor(FXR)mediated FAO and Clathrin Heavy Chain(CLTC)protein hinders NLRP3 inflammasome activity.This key mechanism by which hepatocyte’s Zbtb18 expression alleviates NAFLD and consequent liver fibrosis was further verified by FXR’s deletion and forced expression in mice and cultured mouse primary hepatocytes(MPHs).Moreover,CLTC deletion significantly abrogated the hepatic Zbtb18 overexpression-driven inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activity in macrophages.Altogether,Zbtb18 transcriptionally activates the FXR-mediated FAO and CLTC expression,which inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome’s activity alleviating inflammatory stress and insulin resistance,representing an attractive remedy for hepatic steatosis and fibrosis.Lei Zhang Jiabing Chen Xiaoying Yang Chuangpeng Shen Jiawen Huang Dong Zhang Naihua Liu Chaonan Liu Yadi Zhong Yingjian Chen Kaijia Tang Jingyi Guo Tianqi Cui Siwei Duan Jiayu Li Shangyi Huang Huafeng Pan Huabing Zhang Xiaoqiang Tang Yongsheng Chang Yong Gao 2024Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2024,9,2:0
9Optimization of operating parameters of seeding device in plot drill with seeding control system显示文摘Plot drill has a significant impact on field breeding by replacing manual seeding.However,the seeding performance of plot drill needs to be further improved as the mechanical transmission method cannot work under the optimal combination of operating parameters.In this study,a cone compartment tray of sowing device was evaluated under the laboratory conditions,using a self-designed seeding control system to adjust the operating parameters.Among them,a plot seeding control system was involved that could set operating parameters through an Android terminal,which effectively reduced the difficulty of parameters adjustment.The method of central composite experiment design was employed to conduct experiments and explore the effects of experiment factors such as lifting height of storage tube(LHST),rotation speed of cone compartment tray(RSCCT),and rotation speed seed distributor(RSSD)on the seeding uniformity coefficient of variation among rows(SUCVR)and the rate of damaged seeds(RDS).For SUCVR of wheat,the results showed that the importance order of main factors from high to low was RSSD,RSCCT and LHST.And for SUCVR of buckwheat,RSCCT had the largest influence,followed by RSSD,and LHST had the smallest influence.For RDS of wheat and buckwheat,only RSSD had a very significant effect among the main factors.The experiments data of wheat indicated that when operated at 27.2 mm for LHST,4.5 r/min for RSCCT and 1169 r/min for RSSD,the sowing performance of wheat was optimal,with SUCVR and RDS values of 5.02%and 0.117%,respectively.The buckwheat seeding performance was found to be optimal when the LHST,RSCCT and RSSD were 26.5 mm,3.9 r/min and 711 r/min,and SUCVR and RDS were 4.74%and 0.113%.The seeding control system realized the electromechanical control of the seeding equipment,was convenient for parameter setting and stepless adjustment,and could be operated under an optimized combination of operating parameters.The research results could provide a reference for the performance improvement and application of plot drill.Xiupei Cheng Hongwen Li Jin He Qingjie Wang Caiyun Lu Yingbo Wang Chao Wang Chunlei Wang Shangyi Lou 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,3:0
