| 4 | Numerical modeling of the anomalous post-rift subsidence in the Baiyun Sag,Pearl River Mouth Basin显示文摘The Baiyun Sag is the deepest sag in the Pearl River Mouth Basin in northern continental margin of South China Sea,with the maximum sediment thickness over 12.5 km above the basement including >6.5 km sediments above the 30 Ma breakup unconformity.According to the theoretical models for the rifted basins,the post-rift subsidence is driven solely by the thermal contraction and can be calculated as the function of the lithospheric stretching factor.A method combining the forward modeling and reverse backstripping was designed to estimate lithospheric stretching factor.Using the 2D forward modeling based on the flexural cantilever model,we simulated the multi-rifting process of the Baiyun Sag with constrain of the backstripped profiles.By doing this the lithospheric stretching factor was obtained,and then the theoretical post-rift subsidence was calculated.The calculated theoretical subsidence was much smaller than the observed subsidence given by backstripping.Along the 1530 line in the Baiyun Sag,the anomalous post-rift subsidence is over 2 km in the sag center,and varies slightly to the north and south edges of the sag.This suggests that the anomalous post-rift subsidence continues beyond the sag both in the continental shelf to the north and in the continental slope to the south.The sensitivity tests in the forward modeling process indicate that only the use of low-angle faults (≤13°) can we simulate the shape of the backstripped profile. | LIAO Jie ZHOU Di ZHAO ZhongXian ZHANG YunFan XU ZiYing | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,8: | 14 |

Multiple single clones formed and were checked for their phenotype. In the study of the effect on telomerase activity of LPTS-Lin vitro, GST-LPTS-L fusion protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by glutathioneagarose column. Telomeric repeat amplification protocol (TRAP) assays were performed to study the influence of telomerase activity in SMMC-7721 cells.RESULTS: Over-expression of LPTS-L induced SMMC-7721 cells into crisis. LPTS-L could inhibit the telomerase activity in SMMC-7721 cellsin vitro.CONCLUSION: LPTS-L is a potent telomeraseinhibitor. | 6 | Activation of β-catenin signaling in aggrecan-expressing cells in temporomandibular joint causes osteoarthritis-like defects显示文摘β-Catenin plays a critical role in cartilage formation and development. To further understand the role of β-catenin in osteoarthritis(OA) development in temporomandibular joint(TMJ), we have generated β-catenin conditional activation mice(β-cat(ex3)^(Agc1CreER))by breeding Agc1-CreER mice with β-catenin^(flox(ex3)/+)mice. Results of histologic analysis showed the progressive TMJ defects in 3-and 6-month-old β-cat(ex3)^(Agc1CreER)mice(tamoxifen induction was performed at 2 weeks of age), including decreased chondrocyte numbers in the superficial layer associated with less Alcian blue staining, increased numbers of hypertrophic chondrocytes in deep layers, and rough articular surface. Compared to the TMJ phenotype of β-cat(ex3)^(Col2CreER)mice, β-cat(ex3)^(Agc1CreER)mice showed much severe morphological defects in the superficial layer of TMJ. This may reflect that Agc1-CreER mice could efficiently target cells in the superficial layer of TMJ. Results of immunostaining showed significantly increased expression of MMP13, Col-X, Adamts4,and Adamts5 in TMJ of β-cat(ex3)^(Agc1CreER)mice. Results of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA), Ki67, and terminal deoxinucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP-fluorescein nick end labeling(TUNEL) staining further demonstrated that cell proliferation was decreased and cell apoptosis was increased in condylar cartilage of β-cat(ex3)^(Agc1CreER)mice. | 9 | Eocene Basins on the SE Tibetan Plateau: Markers of Minor Offset along the Xuelongshan–Diancangshan–Ailaoshan Structural System显示文摘The offset of geological bodies provides robust evidence of displacement along a fault or ductile shear zone. The amount of displacement along the Xuelongshan–Diancangshan–Ailaoshan structural system, southeastern Tibetan Plateau, is uncertain because of the lack of offset geological markers. This NNW–SSE-trending system is developed in three isolated metamorphic complexes and interjacent nonmetamorphosed rocks. They are expected to record similar post-Eocene strain, although their structural patterns should be distinct. Geological mapping in the area between the Xuelongshan and Diancangshan metamorphic complexes has revealed a small Eocene basin, the Madeng Basin, located to the west of the structural system. The sedimentary and volcanic successions of the Madeng Basin are comparable to those of the Jianchuan Basin, which is located to the east of the structural system. Zircon U–Pb geochronological and bulk geochemical data demonstrate that the volcanic rocks of both basins formed during 37–34 Ma and share the same geochemical features. These data suggest that the Madeng and Jianchuan basins previously constituted a single basin, with the distribution of high-K volcanic rocks in the basins defining an ENE–WSW-trending volcanic belt that shows a limited dextral offset of ≤20 km across the Xuelongshan–Diancangshan–Ailaoshan structural system. Therefore, the northern segment of the structural system records no evidence of large-scale lateral movement/displacement. | 11 | Functional metabolomics reveal the role of AHR/GPR35 mediated kynurenic acid gradient sensing in chemotherapy-induced intestinal damage显示文摘Intestinal toxicity induced by chemotherapeutics has become an important reason for the interruption of therapy and withdrawal of approved agents. In this study, we demonstrated that chemotherapeutics-induced intestinal damage were commonly characterized by the sharp upregulation of tryptophan(Trp)àkynurenine(KYN)àkynurenic acid(KA) axis metabolism. Mechanistically,chemotherapy-induced intestinal damage triggered the formation of an interleukin-6(IL-6)àindoleamine2,3-dioxygenase 1(IDO1)àaryl hydrocarbon receptor(AHR) positive feedback loop, which accelerated kynurenine pathway metabolism in gut. Besides, AHR and G protein-coupled receptor 35(GPR35) negative feedback regulates intestinal damage and inflammation to maintain intestinal integrity and homeostasis through gradually sensing kynurenic acid level in gut and macrophage, respectively. Moreover, based on virtual screening and biological verification, vardenafil and linagliptin as GPR35 and AHR agonists respectively were discovered from 2388 approved drugs. | 17 | Defining a critical period in calvarial development for Hedgehog pathway antagonist-induced frontal bone dysplasia in mice显示文摘The Hedgehog(Hh) signalling pathway is essential for cellular proliferation and differentiation during embryonic development.Gain and loss of function of Hh signalling are known to result in an array of craniofacial malformations. To determine the critical period for Hh pathway antagonist-induced frontal bone hypoplasia, we examined patterns of dysmorphology caused by Hh signalling inhibition. Pregnant mice received a single oral administration of Hh signalling inhibitor GDC-0449 at 100 or 150 mg·kg^(-1) body weight at preselected time points between embryonic days(E)8.5 and 12.5. The optimal teratogenic concentration of GDC-0449 was determined to be 150 mg·kg^(-1). Exposure between E9.5 and E10.5 induced frontal bone dysplasia, micrognathia and limb defects, with administration at E10.5 producing the most pronounced effects. This model showed decreased ossification of the frontal bone with downregulation of Hh signalling. The osteoid thickness of the frontal bone was significantly reduced. However, the power estimation CAD tools for Fin FET are missing at the moment, which mainly results from the absence of Fin FET power analysis and Fin FET power model. Three key factors for Fin FET power model are: the dimension of the look-up-tables, that to find out the most significant factors that influence Fin FET power and to make them as indexes for the look-up-tables; the distance between sampling points; and the interpolation method. In this paper, various factors that may contribute to the Fin FET power consumption are evaluated. Of all the factors, the continuous ones are compared with sensitivity method. As to other discrete factors, methods of building them in power model are given according to the features of the each factor and the way it influences the power. Based on the simulation result, standard cell power library model for Fin FET is proposed. The research work lays foundation for accurate power analysis and modeling for high-level power analysis of Fin FET circuits. They bring many research opportunities as well as challenges on system architectural designs, memory management in operating systems (OSes), and programming models for hybrid memory systems. In this article, we revisit the landscape of emerging NVMM technologies, and then survey the state-of-the-art studies of NVMM technologies. We classify those studies with a taxonomy according to different dimensions such as memory architectures, data persistence, performance improvement, energy saving, and wear leveling. Second, to demonstrate the best practices in building NVMM systems, we introduce our recent work of hybrid memory system designs from the dimensions of architectures, systems, and applications. | 20 | Blue light-induced rare-earth free phosphors for the highly sensitive and selective imaging of latent fingerprints based on enhanced hydrophobic interaction显示文摘The demand for in-situ detection of latent fingerprints(LFPs)in ways of high sensitivity,high selectivity,high contrast,low cost and user-friendly is still urgent.To overcome this challenge,a moisture-stable,red-emitting fluoride phosphor K_(3)AlF_(6):Mn^(4+)(KAF:Mn^(4+))with an organic hydrophobic skin was prepared.The phosphor has a uniform and superfine morphology with excellent luminescence properties.More importantly,this non-ultraviolet(UV)or non-near infrared(NIR)induced phosphor was proved to be an ideal fluorescent label for LFP imaging,which is both friendly for touch DNA analysis and compatible to forensic light sources.The well-defined ridge details with little background interference on various surfaces were presented by the oleic acid(OA)modified KAF:Mn^(4+)(KAF:Mn^(4+)-OA)phosphor in few seconds using the powder dusting method.To confirm the high selectivity of KAF:Mn^(4+)-OA for LFP imaging,an efficient quantitative evaluation method is proposed with the aid of ImageJ&Origin software.Due to the superiority of the Mn^(4+)-doped fluoride for the rapid imaging of LFPs in terms of lowcost,high compatibility and good availability,it is expected to be a promising candidate for forensic science as well as fluorescence imaging in other fields instead of rare earth luminescent materials. | Di Peng Shengan He Yuyan Zhang Liqin Yao Wendong Nie Zhijian Liao Wenting Cai Xinyu Ye | 2022 | Journal of Materiomics2022,8,1: | 2 |
