Modeling study of regional severe hazes over mid-eastern China in January 2013 and its implications on pollution prevention and control显示文摘The Nested Air Quality Prediction Model System(NAQPMS)was used to investigate the temporal and spatial variations of PM2.5over tropospheric central eastern China in January 2013.The impact of regional transport and its implications on pollution prevention and control were also examined.Comparison between simulated and observed PM2.5showed NAQPMS was able to reproduce the evolution of PM2.5during heavy haze episodes. The results indicated that regional transport of PM2.5played an important role in regional haze episodes in the city cluster including Hebei,Beijing and Tianjin(HBT).The cross-city clusters transport outside HBT and transport among cities inside HBT contributed 20%–35%and 26%–35%of PM2.5as compared with local emission,in HBT respectively. To meet the Air Quality Standards for Grade II,90%,90%and65%of emissions would have to be cut down in Hebei,Tianjin and Beijing,if non-control strategy was taken in the surrounding city clusters of HBT.This implicated that control of emissions in one city cluster is not sufficient to reduce regional haze events, and joint efforts among city clusters are essential.Besides regional transports,two-way feedback between boundary-layer evolution and PM2.5also significantly contributed to the formation of heavy hazes, which contributed 30%of monthly average PM2.5concentration in HBT. | WANG ZiFa LI Jie WANG Zhe YANG WenYi TANG Xiao GE BaoZhu YAN PinZhong ZHU LiLi CHEN XueShun CHEN HuanSheng WAND Wei LI JianJun LIU Bing WANG XiaoYan WAND Wei ZHAO YiLin LU Ning SU DeBin | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,1: | 106
Mechanism for the formation of the January 2013 heavy haze pollution episode over central and eastern China显示文摘In January 2013,a long-lasting episode of severe haze occurred in central and eastern China, and it attracted attention from all sectors of society. The process and evolution of haze pollution episodes were observed by the'Forming Mechanism and Control Strategies of Haze in China'group using an intensive aerosol and trace gases campaign that simultaneously obtained data at 11 ground-based observing sites in the CARE-China network. The characteristics and formation mechanism of haze pollution episodes were discussed.Five haze pollution episodes were identified in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(Jing-Jin-Ji)area;the two most severe episodes occurred during 9–15 January and 25–31 January.During these two haze pollution episodes, the maximum hourly PM2.5mass concentrations in Beijing were 680 and 530μg m 3,respectively.The process and evolution of haze pollution episodes in other major cities in the Jing-Jin-Ji area, such as Shijiazhuang and Tianjin were almost the same as those observed in Beijing. The external cause of the severe haze episodes was the unusual atmospheric circulation, the depression of strong cold air activities and the very unfavorable dispersion due to geographical and meteorological conditions. However, the internal cause was the quick secondary transformation of primary gaseous pollutants to secondary aerosols, which contributed to the'explosive growth'and'sustained growth'of PM2.5.Particularly,the abnormally high amount of nitric oxide(NOx)in the haze episodes, produced by fossil fuel combustion and vehicle emissions, played a direct or indirect role in the quick secondary transformation of coal-burning sulphur dioxide(SO2)to sulphate aerosols.Furthermore, gaseous pollutants were transformed into secondary aerosols through heterogeneous reactions on the surface of fine particles, which can change the particle’s size and chemical composition.Consequently, the proportion of secondary inorganic ions, such as sulphate and nitrate, gradually increased, which enhances particle hygroscopicity and thereby accelerating formation of the haze pollution. | WANG YueSi YAO Li WANG LiLi LIU ZiRui JI DongSheng TANG GuiQian ZHANG JunKe SUN Yang HU Bo XIN JinYuan | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,1: | 189
Contrasting trends of PM2.5 and surface-ozone concentrations in China from 2013 to 2017显示文摘Although much attention has been paid to investigating and controlling air pollution in China, the trends of air-pollutant concentrations on a national scale have remained unclear. Here,we quantitatively investigated the variation of air pollutants in China using long-term comprehensive data sets from 2013 to 2017,during which Chinese government made major efforts to reduce anthropogenic emission in polluted regions. Our results show a significant decreasing trend in the PM2.5 concentration in heavily polluted regions of eastern China, with an annual decrease of〜7%compared with measurements in 2013.The measured decreased concentrations of SO2>NO2 and CO(a proxy for anthropogenic volatile organic compounds)could explain a large fraction of the decreased PM2.5 concentrations in different regions. As a consequence;the heavily polluted days decreased significantly in corresponding regions.Concentrations of organic aerosol;nitrate;sulfate, ammonium and chloride measured in urban Beijing revealed a remarkable reduction from 2013 to 2017;connecting the decreases in aerosol precursors with corresponding chemical components closely.However;surface-ozone concentrations showed increasing trends in most urban stations from 2013 to 2017;which indicates stronger photochemical pollution. The boundary-layer height in capital c让ies of eastern China showed no significant trends over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions from 2013 to 2017;which confirmed the reduction in anthropogenic emissions. Our results demonstrated that the Chinese government was successful in the reduction of particulate matter in urban areas from 2013 to 2017,although the ozone concentration has increased significantly;suggesting a more complex mechanism of improving Chinese air quality in the future. | Yonghong Wang Wenkang Gao Shuai Wang Tao Song Zhengyu Gong Dongsheng Ji Lili Wang Zirui Liu Guiqian Tang Yanfeng Huo Shili Tian Jiayun Li Mingge Li Yuan Yang Biwu Chu Tuukka Petaja Veli-Matti Kerminen Hong He Jiming Hao Markku Kulmala Yuesi Wang Yuanhang Zhang | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,8: | 51
Cold-chain food contamination as the possible origin of COVID-19 resurgence in Beijing显示文摘COVID-19,caused by SARS-CoV-2[1,2],has been contained in China through stringent non-pharmaceutical interventions.Border control and quarantine have effectively prevented the virus from being spread by infected travellers, but the risk of resurgence caused by other routes of introduction and transmission remains unclear, and current strategies to prevent resurgence could be flawed.Since July,SARS-CoV-2 RNA contaminations in frozen food imported from countries with ongoing epidemics have been reported in nine provinces in China[3,4].However,there is no robust evidence of COVID-19 outbreaks initiated by environmentto-human transmission. Here we add to evidence of such transmission by investigating the recent COVID-19 resurgence in Beijing. | Xinghuo Pang Lili Ren Shuangsheng Wu Wentai Ma Jian Yang Lin Di Jie Li Yan Xiao Lu Kang Shichang Du Jing Du Jing Wang Gang Li Shuguang Zhai Lijuan Chen Wenxiong Zhou Shengjie Lai Lei Gao Yang Pan Quanyi Wang Mingkun Li Jianbin Wang Yanyi Huang Jianwei Wang COVID-19 Field Response Group COVID-19 Laboratory Testing Group | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,12: | 51
Erianin,a novel dibenzyl compound in Dendrobium extract, inhibits lung cancer cell growth and migration via calcium/calmodulin-dependent ferroptosis显示文摘Ferroptosis,a novel form of programmed cell death,is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and has been shown to be involved in multiple diseases, including cancer.Stimulating ferroptosis in cancer cells may be a potential strategy for cancer therapy.Therefore,ferroptosis-inducing drugs are attracting more attention for cancer treatment. Here,we showed that erianin,a natural product isolated from Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl, exerted its anticancer activity by inducing cell death and inhibiting cell migration in lung cancer cells.Subsequently,we demonstrated for the first time that erianin induced ferroptotic cell death in lung cancer cells, which was accompanied by ROS accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and GSH depletion. The ferroptosis inhibitors Fer-1 and Lip-1 but not Z-VAD-FMK,CQ,or necrostatin-1 rescued erianin-induced cell death, indicating that ferroptosis contributed to erianin-induced cell death.Furthermore,we demonstrated that Ca^(2+)/CaM signaling was a critical mediator of erianin-induced ferroptosis and that blockade of this signaling significantly rescued cell death induced by erianin treatment by suppressing ferroptosis.Taken together, our data suggest that the natural product erianin exerts its anticancer effects by inducing Ca^(2+)/CaMdependent ferroptosis and inhibiting cell migration, and erianin will hopefully serve as a prospective compound for lung cancer treatment. | Peng Chen Qibiao Wu Jiao Feng Lili Yan Yitian Sun Shuiping Liu Yu Xiang Mingming Zhang Ting Pan Xiaying Chen Ting Duan Lijuan Zhai Bingtao Zhai Wengang Wang Ruonan Zhang Bi Chen Xuemeng Han Yicong Li Liuxi Chen Ying Liu Xingxing Huang Ting Jin Wenzheng Zhang Hong Luo Xiaohui Chen Yongqiang Li Qiujie Li Guohua Li Qin Zhang Lvjia Zhuo Zuyi Yang Huifen Tang Tian Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Xinbing Sui | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 42
Bile acid nuclear receptor FXR and digestive system diseases显示文摘Bile acids(BAs) are not only digestive surfactants but also important cell signaling molecules, which stimulate several signaling pathways to regulate some important biological processes. The bileacid-activated nuclear receptor, farnesoid X receptor(FXR), plays a pivotal role in regulating bile acid, lipid and glucose homeostasis as well as in regulating the inflammatory responses, barrier function and prevention of bacterial translocation in the intestinal tract. As expected, FXR is involved in the pathophysiology of a wide range of diseases of gastrointestinal tract, including inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer and type 2 diabetes. In this review, we discuss current knowledge of the roles of FXR in physiology of the digestive system and the related diseases. Better understanding of the roles ofFXR in digestive system will accelerate the development of FXR ligands/modulators for the treatment of digestive system diseases. | Lili Ding Li Yang Zhengtao Wang Wendong Huang | 2015 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,2: | 47
Long-term follow-up of the effects of fecal microbiota transplantation in combination with soluble dietary fiber as a therapeutic regimen in slow transit constipation显示文摘As some studies have reported that strategies targeting the gut microbiota such as fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT) with or without other microecological therapy might have efficacy in treating slow transit constipation(STC), we conducted a singlecenter, open-label trial to study the long-term effect of FMT combined with soluble dietary fiber(pectin) on STC. Thirty-one adult patients with STC were enrolled into the trial. Patients received 6-day FMT procedures repeatedly for the first 3 months and soluble dietary fiber(pectin) daily during the follow-up. The rate of clinical remission and improvement, stool consistency, the Wexner constipation scale, and assessment of constipation-related symptoms were evaluated at week 4 and 1 year later. The clinical remission and improvement rates at week 4 were 69.0%(20/29) and 75.9%(22/29), respectively. At the end of the study,48.3%(14/29) of patients continued to have at least three complete spontaneous bowel movements per week and 58.6%(17/29)of patients showed clinical improvements. Stool consistency, the Wexner constipation scale, and constipation symptoms improved both at short-term and long-term follow-up. The results indicated that FMT in combination with soluble dietary fiber(pectin) had both short-term and long-term efficacy in treating STC. | Xueying Zhang Hongliang Tian Lili Gu Yongzhan Nie Chao Ding Xiaolong Ge Bo Yang Jianfeng Gong Ning Li | 2018 | Science China(Life Sciences)2018,61,7: | 33
Variability and reduction of atmospheric pollutants in Beijing and its surrounding area during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games显示文摘The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Atmospheric Environment Monitoring Network was established by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences. The goals of the network were to monitor and provide warnings of the atmospheric quality in Beijing and its surrounding area during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The results showed that the atmospheric complex pollution exhibited high concentrations of ozone and fine particles and oxidation in summer, with a ubiquitous regional source. The regional mean concentrations of SO2,PM2.5,NO2,and O3_8h max(the maximum daily 8 h mean) and Ox were 22±11,90±40,25±5,136±35 and 112±21 μg/m3 in summer, respectively.During the Olympic Games, the mean concentration of SO2,PM2.5,NO2,O3_8h max,and Ox were 12.5±4,56±28,23±4,114±29,95±17 μg/m3 in the region, respectively, and fell by 51.0%,43.7%,13%,20.2%,and 18.9%,respectively,compared to the prophase mean before the Olympic Games. The concentration of atmospheric pollutants declined significantly and achieved the 'Green Olympics' control goal of air quality. After the Olympic Games,SO2,PM2.5 and NOx increased significantly as the temporary atmospheric pollution control measures were terminated. | XIN JinYuan WANG YueSi TANG GuiQian WANG LiLi SUN Yang WANG YingHong HU Bo SONG Tao JI DongSheng WANG WeiFeng LI Liang LIU GuangRen | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,18: | 30
Biodegradable Materials for Bone Repairs:A Review显示文摘With attractive research and development of biomaterials, more and more opportunities have been brought to the treatments of human tissue repairs. The implant is usually no need to exist in the body accompanied with the recovery or regeneration of the tissue lesions, and the long-term effect of exotic substance to human body should be reduced as lower as possible. For this purpose, biodegradable materials, including polymers, magnesium alloys and ceramics, have attracted much attention for medical applications due to their biodegradable characters in body environment. This paper in turn introduces these three different types of widely studied biodegradable materials as well as their advantages as implants in applications for bone repairs.Relevant history and research progresses are summarized. | Lili Tan Xiaoming Yu Peng Wan Ke Yang | 2013 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,6: | 24
On the tuning of electrical and thermal transport in thermoelectrics: an integrated theory–experiment perspective显示文摘During the last two decades,we have witnessed great progress in research on thermoelectrics. There are two primary focuses. One is the fundamental understanding of electrical and thermal transport, enabled by the interplay of theory and experiment;the other is the substantial enhancement of the performance of various thermoelectric materials, through synergistic optimisation of those intercorrelated transport parameters. Here we review some of the successful strategies for tuning electrical and thermal transport. For electrical transport,we start from the classical but still very active strategy of tuning band degeneracy(or band convergence),then discuss the engineering of carrier scattering, and finally address the concept of conduction channels and conductive networks that emerge in complex thermoelectric materials. For thermal transport,we summarise the approaches for studying thermal transport based on phonon–phonon interactions valid for conventional solids,as well as some quantitative efforts for nanostructures. We also discuss the thermal transport in complex materials with chemical-bond hierarchy,in which a portion of the atoms(or subunits)are weakly bonded to the rest of the structure, leading to an intrinsic manifestation of part-crystalline part-liquid state at elevated temperatures. In this review,we provide a summary of achievements made in recent studies of thermoelectric transport properties, and demonstrate how they have led to improvements in thermoelectric performance by the integration of modern theory and experiment, and point out some challenges and possible directions. | Jiong Yang Lili Xi Wujie Qiu Lihua Wu Xun Shi Lidong Chen Jihui Yang Wenqing Zhang Ctirad Uher David J Singh | 2016 | npj Computational Materials2016,,1: | 24
Baicalin induces ferroptosis in bladder cancer cells by downregulating FTH1显示文摘Ferroptosis is a non-apoptotic regulated cell death caused by iron accumulation and subsequent lipid peroxidation.Currently, the therapeutic role of ferroptosis on cancer is gaining increasing interest.Baicalin an active component in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi with anticancer potential various cancer types;however, the effects of baicalein on bladder cancer and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely unknown. In the study,we investigated the effect of baicalin on bladder cancer cells5637 and KU-19-19.As a result,we show baicalin exerted its anticancer activity by inducing apoptosis and cell death in bladder cancer cells.Subsequently,we for the first time demonstrate baicalin-induced ferroptotic cell death in vitro and in vivo, accompanied by reactive oxygen species(ROS) accumulation and intracellular chelate iron enrichment. The ferroptosis inhibitor deferoxamine but not necrostatin-1,chloroquine(CQ),N-acetyl-L-cysteine,L-glutathione reduced,or carbobenzoxy-valyl-alanyl-aspartyl-[O-methyl]-fluoromethylketone(Z-VAD-FMK) rescued baicalin-induced cell death, indicating ferroptosis contributed to baicalin-induced cell death.Mechanistically,we show that ferritin heavy chain1(FTH1) was a key determinant for baicalin-induced ferroptosis.Overexpression of FTH1 abrogated the anticancer effects of baicalin in both 5637 and KU19-19 cells.Taken together, our data for the first time suggest that the natural product baicalin exerts its anticancer activity by inducing FTH1-dependent ferroptosis, which will hopefully provide a prospective compound for bladder cancer treatment. | Na Kong Xiaying Chen Jiao Feng Ting Duan Shuiping Liu Xueni Sun Peng Chen Ting Pan Lili Yan Ting Jin Yu Xiang Quan Gao Chengyong Wen Weirui Ma Wencheng Liu Mingming Zhang Zuyi Yang Wengang Wang Ruonan Zhang Bi Chen Tian Xie Xinbing Sui Wei Tao | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,12: | 23
Management of cytokine release syndrome related to CAR-T cell therapy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy is a novel cellular immunotherapy that is widely used to treat hematological malignancies, including acute leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Despite its remarkable clinical effects, this therapy has side effects that cannot be underestimated. Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is one of the most clinically important and potentially life-threatening toxicities. This syndrome is a systemic immune storm that involves the mass cytokines releasing by activated immune cells. This phenomenon causes multisystem damages and sometimes even death. In this study, we reported the management of a patient with recurrent and refractory multiple myeloma and three patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia who suffered CRS during CAR-T treatment. The early application of tocilizumab, an anti-IL-6 receptor antibody, according to toxicity grading and clinical manifestation is recommended especially for patients who suffer continuous hyperpyrexia, hypotensive shock, acute respiratory failure, and whose CRS toxicities deteriorated rapidly. Moreover, low doses of dexamethasone (5-10 mg/day) were used for refractory CRS not responding to tocilizumab. The effective management of the toxicities associated with CRS will bring additional survival opportunities and improve the quality of life for patients with cancer. | Hongli Chen Fangxia Wang Pengyu Zhang Yilin Zhang Yinxia Chen Xiaohu Fan Xingmei Cao Jie Liu Yun Yang Baiyan Wang Bo Lei Liufang Gu Ju Bai Lili Wei Ruili Zhang Qiuchuan Zhuang Wanggang Zhang Wanhong Zhao Aili He | 2019 | Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,5: | 21
Surface Modification on Biodegradable Magnesium Alloys as Orthopedic Implant Materials to Improve the Bio-adaptability:A Review显示文摘Magnesium(Mg) and its alloys as a novel kind of biodegradable material have attracted much fundamental research and valuable exploration to develop its clinical application. Mg alloys degrade too fast at the early stage after implantation, thus commonly leading to some problems such as osteolysis, early fast mechanical loss, hydric bubble aggregation, gap formation between the implants and the tissue. Surface modification is one of the effective methods to control the degradation property of Mg alloys to adapt to the need of organism. Some coatings with bioactive elements have been developed, especially for the micro-arc oxidation coating, which has high adhesion strength and can be added with Ca, P, and Sr elements. Chemical deposition coating including bio-mimetic deposition coating, electro-deposition coating and chemical conversion coating can provide good anticorrosion property as well as better bioactivity with higher Ca and P content in the coating. From the biodegradation study, it can be seen that surface coating protected the Mg alloys at the early stage providing the Mg alloy substrate with lower degradation rate. The biocompatibility study showed that the surface modification could provide the cell and tissue stable and weak alkaline surface micro-environment adapting to the cell adhesion and tissue growth. The surface modification also decreased the mechanical loss at the early stage adapting to the loadbearing requirement at this stage. From the interface strength between Mg alloys implants and the surrounding tissue study, it can be seen that the surface modification improved the bio-adhesion of Mg alloys with the surrounding tissue, which is believed to be contributed to the tissue adaptability of the surface modification. Therefore, the surface modification adapts the biodegradable magnesium alloys to the need of biodegradation, biocompatibility and mechanical loss property. For the different clinical application, different surface modification methods can be provided to adapt to the clinical requirements for the Mg alloy implants. | Peng Wan Lili Tan Ke Yang | 2016 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,9: | 19
Safety issues and new rapid detection methods in traditional Chinese medicinal materials显示文摘The safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is a major strategic issue that involves human health. With the continuous improvement in disease prevention and treatment, the export of TCM and its related products has increased dramatically in China. However, the frequent safety issues of Chinese medicine have become the ‘bottleneck' impeding the modernization of TCM. It was proved that mycotoxins seriously affect TCM safety; the pesticide residues of TCM are a key problem in TCM international trade; adulterants have also been detected, which is related to market circulation. These three factors have greatly affected TCM safety. In this study, fast, highly effective, economically-feasible and accurate detection methods concerning TCM safety issues were reviewed, especially on the authenticity, mycotoxins and pesticide residues of medicinal materials. | Lili Wang Weijun Kong Meihua Yang Jianping Han Shilin Chen | 2015 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,1: | 18

Evolution of boundary layer ozone in Shijiazhuang,a suburban site on the North China Plain显示文摘The structure of the boundary layer affects the evolution of ozone(O3), and research into this structure will provide important insights for understanding photochemical pollution. In this study, we conducted a one-month observation(from June 15 to July 14, 2016) of the boundary layer meteorological factors as well as O3 and its precursors in Luancheng County,Shijiazhuang(37°53′N, 114°38′E). Our research showed that photochemical pollution in Shijiazhuang is serious, and the mean hourly maximum and mean 8-hr maximum O3 concentrations are 97.9 ± 26.1 and 84.4 ± 22.4 ppbV, respectively. Meteorological factors play a significant role in the formation of O3. High temperatures and southeasterly winds lead to elevated O3 values, and at moderate relative humidity(40%–50%) and medium boundary layer heights(1200–1500 m), O3 production sensitivity occurred in the transitional region between volatile organic compounds(VOC) and nitrogen oxides(NOx) limitations, and the O3 concentration was the highest. The vertical profiles of O3 were also measured by a tethered balloon. The results showed that a large amount of O3 was stored in the residual layer, and the concentration was positively correlated with the O3 concentration measured the previous day. During the daytime of the following day, the contribution of O3 stored in the residual layer to the boundary layer reached 27%± 7% on average. | Wei Zhao Guiqian Tang Huan Yu Yang Yang Yinghong Wang Lili Wang Junlin An Wenkang Gao Bo Hu Mengtian Cheng Xingqin An Xin Li Yuesi Wang | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,9: | 15

Study on β-TCP Coated Porous Mg as a Bone Tissue Engineering Scaffold Material显示文摘Three-dimensional honeycomb-structured magnesium (Mg) scaffolds with interconnected pores of accurately controlled pore size and porosity were fabricated by laser perforation technique. Biodegradable and bioactive β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) coatings were prepared on the porous Mg to further improve its biocompatibility, and the biodegradation mechanism was simply evaluated in vitro. It was found that the mechanical properties of this type of porous Mg significantly depended on its porosity. Elastic modulus and compressive strength similar to human bones could be obtained for the porous Mg with porosity of 42.6%-51%. It was observed that the human osteosarcoma cells (UMR106) were well adhered and proliferated on the surface of the β-TCP coated porous Mg, which indicates that the β-TCP coated porous Mg is promising to be a bone tissue engineering scaffold material. | Fang Geng Lili Tan Bingchun Zhang Chunfu Wu Yonglian He Jingyu Yang Ke Yang | 2009 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2009,25,1: | 13

A total of 160 weanling(Duroc × Landrace x Yorkshire) pigs(age: 21 ± 1 d; body weight: 7.50 ± 0.28 kg) were randomly allotted to 4 treatments, receiving the following diets for 28 d: control diet [containing 3.5%soybean oil(SO)], MCT1 diet(containing 0.7% MCTs and 2.8% SO), MCT2 diet(containing 1.4% MCTs and2.1% SO) and MCT3 diet(containing 2.1% MCTs and 1.4% SO). Dietary inclusion of MCTs improved the average daily gain and feed efficiency(FE) of pigs compared with the control during the first 2 weeks post-weaning(P < 0.05). A similar positive effect was also observed for the overall FE in MCT2 group(P < 0.05). Compared with the control, apparent total tract digestibility(ATTD) of ether extract was improved by MCT2 and MCT3 treatment from day 12-14 post-weaning(P < 0.05). In addition, MCT2 treatment also exerted a beneficial effect on the ATTD of dry matter(P < 0.05). The increased total protein concentration and decreased urea nitrogen and malondialdehyde levels of plasma were observed in both MCT2 and MCT3 groups on day 14 post-weaning(P < 0.05). In conclusion, MCTs could improve growth performance, nutrients utilization, and antioxidant ability of weanling piglets. | Yue Li Hao Zhang Li Yang Lili Zhang Tian Wang | 2015 | Animal Nutrition2015,,1: | 13 |
Process analysis of characteristics of the boundary layer during a heavy haze pollution episode in an inland megacity,China显示文摘Ground observation data from 8 meteorological stations in Xi'an, air mass concentration data from 13 environmental quality monitoring sites in Xi'an, as well as radiosonde observation and wind profile radar data, were used in this study. Thereby, the process, causes and boundary layer meteorological characteristics of a heavy haze episode occurring from 16 to 25 December 2013 in Xi'an were analyzed. Principal component analysis showed that this haze pollution was mainly caused by the high-intensity emission and formation of gaseous pollutants(NO_2, CO and SO_2) and atmospheric particles(PM_(2.5)(fine particles) and PM10(respirable suspended particle). The second cause was the relative humidity and continuous low temperature. The third cause was the allocation of the surface pressure field. The presence of a near-surface temperature inversion at the boundary layer formed favorable stratification conditions for the formation and maintenance of heavy haze pollution. The persistent thick haze layer weakened the solar radiation. Meanwhile, a warming effect in the urban canopy layer and in the transition zone from the urban friction sublayer to the urban canopy was indicated. All these conditions facilitated the maintenance and reinforcement of temperature inversion. The stable atmospheric stratification finally acted on the wind field in the boundary layer, and further weakened the exchange capacity of vertical turbulence. The superposition of a wind field with the horizontal gentle wind induced the typical air stagnation and finally caused the deterioration of air quality during this haze event. | Shan Wang Tingting Liao Lili Wang Yang Sun | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,2: | 13
