| 2 | How does the construction of China’s ecological civilization affect the health burden of urban and rural residents?显示文摘Accelerating the construction of ecological civilization and promoting the management of health environment problems is one of the core elements of the implementation of the“Beautiful China”and“Healthy China”strategies with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Based on the scientific connotation of ecological civilization,this paper systematically assesses the level of interprovincial ecological civilization construction in China using the combined CRITIC empowerment method and explores the impact of ecological civilization construction on the health burden of urban and rural residents using interprovincial panel data from 2003 to 2018 with the help of panel feasible generalized least squares,simultaneous equation estimation,and the extended regression model.It is found that there is a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between provincial ecological civilization construction and urban and rural residents’economic health burden,as well as a significant U-shaped relationship between ecological civilization construction and urban and rural residents’disease burden.Fiscal decentralization,urbanization,and industrialization are the three important indirect mechanisms through which ecological civilization affects the health burden of urban and rural residents,and fiscal decentralization plays a typical role in crowding out the health effect of ecological civilization.In the eastern and central regions,ecological civilization construction has effectively reduced the health burden of urban and rural residents,but it is more significant for improving the economic health burden of rural residents.While the“catching-up trend”of the progress of ecological civilization construction in the western region is obvious,ecological civilization plays an important role in alleviating the economic health burden of urban residents.After the robustness test,the conclusion still holds.This study provides an important empirical basis for local governments to improve the accuracy of their policies in promoting the“Beautiful China”and“Healthy China”strategies. | Longlong Duan Linmei Wang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2022,20,4: | 1 |

| 5 | Personalized surgical recommendations and quantitative therapeutic insights for patients with metastatic breast cancer: Insights from deep learning显示文摘Background:The role of surgery in metastatic breast cancer(MBC)is currently controversial.Several novel statistical and deep learning(DL)methods promise to infer the suitability of surgery at the individual level.Objective:The objective of this study was to identify the most applicable DL model for determining patients with MBC who could benefit from surgery and the type of surgery required.Methods:We introduced the deep survival regression with mixture effects(DSME),a semi-parametric DL model integrating three causal inference methods.Six models were trained to make individualized treatment recommendations.Patients who received treatments in line with the DL models'recommendations were compared with those who underwent treatments divergent from the recommendations.Inverse probability weighting(IPW)was used to minimize bias.The effects of various features on surgery selection were visualized and quantified using multivariate linear regression and causal inference.Results:In total,5269 female patients with MBC were included.DSME was an independent protective factor,outperforming other models in recommending surgery(IPW-adjusted hazard ratio[HR]=0.39,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.19–0.78)and type of surgery(IPW-adjusted HR=0.66,95%CI:0.48–0.93).DSME was superior to other models and traditional guidelines,suggesting a higher proportion of patients benefiting from surgery,especially breast-conserving surgery.The debiased effect of patient characteristics,including age,tumor size,metastatic sites,lymph node status,and breast cancer subtypes,on surgery decision was also quantified.Conclusions:Our findings suggested that DSME could effectively identify patients with MBC likely to benefit from surgery and the specific type of surgery needed.This method can facilitate the development of efficient,reliable treatment recommendation systems and provide quantifiable evidence for decision-making. | Enzhao Zhu Linmei Zhang Jiayi Wang Chunyu Hu Qi Jing Weizhong Shi Ziqin Xu Pu Ai Zhihao Dai Dan Shan Zisheng Ai | 2024 | Cancer Innovation2024,3,3: | 0 |

| 7 | Economic Ripple Effects of Individual Disasters and Disaster Clusters显示文摘Disaster clusters refer to major disasters that cluster in space and time without any linkage, resulting in large direct damage and economic ripple effects(EREs).However, the cumulative EREs caused by a disaster cluster may not be equal to the summation EREs of the individual disasters within a cluster. We constructed a global economic ripple input-output model suitable for the analysis of disaster clusters and demonstrated the extent of this difference with the example of two typical catastrophes that occurred in 2011(the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Great Thailand Flood), within an interval of only 136 days. The results indicate that:(1) The EREs suffered by 11 of the 35countries affected(30%) are “1 + 1 > 2”, and “1 + 1 < 2”for 24 of the 35 countries affected(70%). This indicates that there is a signifi cant difference between the cumulative and the summation losses. | 8 | New insights into developmental biology of Eimeria tenella revealed by comparative analysis of mRNA N6-methyladenosine modification between unsporulated oocysts and sporulated oocysts显示文摘Evidence showed that N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)modification plays a pivotal role in influencing RNA fate and is strongly associated with cell growth and developmental processes in many species.However,no information regarding m^(6)A modification in Eimeria tenella is currently available.In the present study,we surveyed the transcriptome-wide prevalence of m^(6)A in sporulated oocysts and unsporulated oocysts of E.tenella.Methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing(MeRIP-seq)analysis showed that m^(6)A modification was most abundant in the coding sequences,followed by stop codon.There were 3,903 hypermethylated and 3,178 hypomethylated mRNAs in sporulated oocysts compared with unsporulated oocysts.Further joint analysis suggested that m^(6)A modification of the majority of genes was positively correlated with mRNA expression.The mRNA relative expression and m^(6)A level of the selected genes were confirmed by quantitative reverse transcription PCR(RT-qPCR)and MeRIP-qPCR.GO and KEGG analysis indicated that differentially m^(6)A methylated genes(DMMGs)with significant differences in mRNA expression were closely related to processes such as regulation of gene expression,epigenetic,microtubule,autophagy-other and TOR signaling.Moreover,a total of 96 DMMGs without significant differences in mRNA expression showed significant differences at protein level.GO and pathway enrichment analysis of the 96 genes showed that RNA methylation may be involved in cell biosynthesis and metabolism of E.tenella.We firstly present a map of RNA m^(6)A modification in E.tenella,which provides significant insights into developmental biology of E.tenella. | Qing Liu Bingjin Mu Yijing Meng Linmei Yu Zirui Wang Tao Jia Wenbin Zheng Wenwei Gao Shichen Xie Xingquan Zhu | 2024 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,1: | 0 |
| 9 | Monolithic integrated micro-supercapacitors with ultra-high systemic volumetric performance and areal output voltage显示文摘Monolithic integrated micro-supercapacitors(MIMSCs) with high systemic performance and cell-number density are important for miniaturized electronics to empower the Internet of Things.However,fabrication of customizable MIMSCs in an extremely small space remains a huge challenge considering key factors such as materials selection,electrolyte confinement,microfabrication and device-performance uniformity.Here,we develop a universal and large-throughput microfabrication strategy to address all these issues by combining multistep lithographic patterning,spray printing of MXene micro electrodes and controllable 3D printing of gel electrolytes.We achieve the monolithic integration of electrochemically isolated micro-supercapacitors in close proximity by leveraging high-resolution micropatterning techniques for micro electrode deposition and 3D printing for precise electrolyte deposition.Notably,the MIMSCs obtained demonstrate a high areal-number density of 28 cells cm^(-2)(340 cells on 3.5 × 3.5 cm^(2)),a record areal output voltage of 75.6 V cm^(-2),an acceptable systemic volumetric energy density of 9.8 mWh cm^(-3)and an unprecedentedly high capacitance retention of 92% after 4000 cycles at an extremely high output voltage of 162 V.This work paves the way for monolithic integrated and microscopic energy-storage assemblies for powering future microele ctronics. | Sen Wang Linmei Li Shuanghao Zheng Pratteek Das Xiaoyu Shi Jiaxin Ma Yu Liu Yuanyuan Zhu Yao Lu Zhong-Shuai Wu Hui-Ming Cheng | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,3: | 0 |
| 10 | The vacancy defects and oxygen atoms occupation effects on mechanical and electronic properties of Mo_(5)Si_(3) silicides显示文摘Improving brittle behavior and mechanical properties is still a big challenge for high-temperature structural materials.By means of first-principles calculations,in this paper,we systematically investigate the effect of vacancy and oxygen occupation on the elastic properties and brittle-or-ductile behavior on Mo_(5)Si_(3).Four vacancies(Si_(-Va1),Si_(-Va2),Mo_(-Va1),Mo_(-Va2))and oxygen occupation models(O_(Mo1),O_(Mo2),O_(-Si1),O_(-Si2))are selected for research.It is found that Mo_(-Va2) vacancy has the stronger structural stability in the ground state in comparison with other vacancies.Besides,the deformation resistance and hardness of the parent Mo_(5)Si_(3) are weakened due to the introduction of different vacancy defects and oxygen occupation.The ratio of B/G indicates that oxygen atoms occupation and vacancy defects result in brittle-to-ductile transition for Mo_(5)Si_(3).These vacancies and the oxygen atoms occupation change the localized hybridization between Mo-Si and Mo-Mo atoms.The weaker O-Mo bond is a contributing factor for the excellent ductile behavior in the O_(-Si2) model for Mo_(5)Si_(3). | Jiaying Chen Xudong Zhang Linmei Yang Feng Wang | 2021 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2021,73,4: | 0 |
