| 1 | Multiple cells of origin in cholangiocarcinoma underlie biological,epidemiological and clinical heterogeneity显示文摘Recent histological and molecular characterization of cholangiocarcinoma(CCA) highlights the heterogeneity of this cancer that may emerge at different sites of the biliary tree and with different macroscopic or morphological features.Furthermore,different stem cell niches have been recently described in the liver and biliarytree,suggesting this as the basis of the heterogeneity of intrahepatic(IH)-and extrahepatic(EH)-CCAs,which are two largely different tumors from both biological and epidemiological points of view.The complexity of the organization of the liver stem cell compartments could underlie the CCA clinical-pathological heterogeneity and the criticisms in classifying primitive liver tumors.These recent advances highlight a possible new classification of CCAs based on cells of origin and this responds to the need of generating homogenous diagnostic,prognostic and,hopefully,therapeutic categories of IH-and EH-CCAs. | Vincenzo Cardinale Guido Carpino Lola Reid Eugenio Gaudio Domenico Alvaro | 2012 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2012，4，5： | 10 |
| 2 | A case of steroid-dependent myeloid granulocytic sarcoma masquerading as Crohn's disease显示文摘Small bowel tumors and Crohn's disease are common causes of small bowel obstruction.Early stage neoplasms can easily be mistaken for Crohn's disease.Therefore,thorough work-ups including imaging studies and endoscopic evaluation with biopsies are critical for accurate diagnosis.Here we report a case of an otherwise healthy female with progressive onset of multiple,recurrent obstructive symptoms secondary to terminal ileal narrowing who was referred for management of steroid-dependent Crohn's disease.After thorough evaluation,the diagnosis was revised to myeloid granulocytic sarcoma involving the terminal ileum.In this case,a delay in diagnosis can be detrimental for prognosis,as myeloid granulocytic sarcoma is highly predictive of underlying acute myeloid leukemia and needs urgent referral for chemotherapy and/or resection. | Lola Y Kwan Stephan R Targan David Q Shih | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，19： | 3 |
| 3 | Central nervous system stimulation therapies in phantom limb pain:a systematic review of clinical trials显示文摘Phantom limb pain is a chronic pain syndrome that is difficult to cope with.Despite neurostimulation treatment is indicated for refractory neuropathic pain,there is scant evidence from randomized controlled trials to recommend it as the treatment choice.Thus,a systematic review was performed to analyze the efficacy of central nervous system stimulation therapies as a strategy for pain management in patients with phantom limb pain.A literature search for studies conducted between 1970 and September 2020 was carried out using the MEDLINE and Embase databases.Principles of The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guideline were followed.There were a total of 10 full-text articles retrieved and included in this review.Deep brain stimulation,repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation,transcranial direct current stimulation,and motor cortex stimulation were the treatment strategies used in the selected clinical trials.Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial direct current stimulation were effective therapies to reduce pain perception,as well as to relieve anxiety and depression symptoms in phantom limb pain patients.Conversely,invasive approaches were considered the last treatment option as evidence in deep brain stimulation and motor cortex stimulation suggests that the value of phantom limb pain treatment remains controversial.However,the findings on use of these treatment strategies in other forms of neuropathic pain suggest that these invasive approaches could be a potential option for phantom limb pain patients. | M.Ángeles García-Pallero Diana Cardona Lola Rueda-Ruzafa Miguel Rodriguez-Arrastia Pablo Roman | 2022 | Neural Regeneration Research2022，17，1： | 3 |
