1A critical review of the integration of renewable energy sources with various technologies显示文摘Wind power, solar power and water power are technologies that can be used as the main sources of renewable energy so that the target of decarbonisation in the energy sector can be achieved. However, when compared with conventional power plants, they have a significant difference. The share of renewable energy has made a difference and posed various challenges, especially in the power generation system. The reliability of the power system can achieve the decarbonization target but this objective often collides with several challenges and failures, such that they make achievement of the target very vulnerable, Even so, the challenges and technological solutions are still very rarely discussed in the literature. This study carried out specific investigations on various technological solutions and challenges, especially in the power system domain. The results of the review of the solution matrix and the interrelated technological challenges are the most important parts to be developed in the future. Developing a matrix with various renewable technology solutions can help solve RE challenges. The potential of the developed technological solutions is expected to be able to help and prioritize them especially cost-effective energy. In addition, technology solutions that are identified in groups can help reduce certain challenges. 3Optimized Ensemble Algorithm for Predicting Metamaterial Antenna Parameters显示文摘Metamaterial Antenna is a subclass of antennas that makes use of metamaterial to improve performance.Metamaterial antennas can overcome the bandwidth constraint associated with tiny antennas.Machine learning is receiving a lot of interest in optimizing solutions in a variety of areas.Machine learning methods are already a significant component of ongoing research and are anticipated to play a critical role in today’s technology.The accuracy of the forecast is mostly determined by the model used.The purpose of this article is to provide an optimal ensemble model for predicting the bandwidth and gain of the Metamaterial Antenna.Support Vector Machines(SVM),Random Forest,K-Neighbors Regressor,and Decision Tree Regressor were utilized as the basic models.The Adaptive Dynamic Polar Rose Guided Whale Optimization method,named AD-PRS-Guided WOA,was used to pick the optimal features from the datasets.The suggested model is compared to models based on five variables and to the average ensemble model.The findings indicate that the presented model using Random Forest results in a Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE)of(0.0102)for bandwidth and RMSE of(0.0891)for gain.This is superior to other models and can accurately predict antenna bandwidth and gain.El-Sayed M.El-kenawy Abdelhameed Ibrahim Seyedali Mirjalili Yu-Dong Zhang Shaima Elnazer Rokaia M.Zaki 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,6:0
4Dipper Throated Optimization Algorithm for Unconstrained Function and Feature Selection显示文摘Dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm is a novel with a very efficient metaheuristic inspired by the dipper throated bird.DTO has its unique hunting technique by performing rapid bowing movements.To show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm,DTO is tested and compared to the algorithms of Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO),Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO),and Genetic Algorithm(GA)based on the seven unimodal benchmark functions.Then,ANOVA and Wilcoxon rank-sum tests are performed to confirm the effectiveness of the DTO compared to other optimization techniques.Additionally,to demonstrate the proposed algorithm’s suitability for solving complex realworld issues,DTO is used to solve the feature selection problem.The strategy of using DTOs as feature selection is evaluated using commonly used data sets from the University of California at Irvine(UCI)repository.The findings indicate that the DTO outperforms all other algorithms in addressing feature selection issues,demonstrating the proposed algorithm’s capabilities to solve complex real-world situations.Ali E.Takieldeen El-Sayed M.El-kenawy Mohammed Hadwan Rokaia M.Zaki 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:0
5Biologics in non-infectious uveitis past,present and future显示文摘Our increase in knowledge of the pathophysiology of non-infectious uveitis(NIU)and other immune-mediated diseases has been mirrored over the last two decades by the expansion of therapeutic options in the realm of immunosuppressive medications.Principal among these advances is the emergence of biologics,which offer the promise of targeted therapy and the hope of reduced toxicity when compared to corticosteroids and“standard”immunosuppression.Among the biologics,monoclonal antibodies blocking tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)have been shown to be a very effective therapeutic target for uveitis and many associated systemic inflammatory diseases.Multiple TNF blockers have shown benefit for uveitis,and in 2016,adalimumab became the first biologic and non-corticosteroid immunosuppressive to obtain Food and Drug Administration(FDA)approval in the treatment of NIU.Although effective,TNF blockers are not universally so,and safety concerns such as infection and demyelinating disease must be carefully considered and ruled out prior to their use,especially in patients with intermediate uveitis with which multiple sclerosis is a known association.Ongoing study has identified novel targets for regulation in the treatment of immune-mediated and inflammatory diseases.Interferons,interleukin and Janus kinase inhibitors in addition to antibodies targeting T cell and B cell activation highlight the expanding field of treatment modalities in NIU.Ongoing study will be required to better determine the safety and efficacy of biologics in the armamentarium of immunosuppressive treatments for NIU.Amr M.Zaki Eric B.Suhler 2021Annals of Eye Science2021,,2:0
6Critical assessment of R410A alternatives for mini-split air conditioners in the Egyptian market显示文摘In this study,the potential implementation of three different low-GWP refrigerants(R32,R452B,and R454B)as replacements for R410A was investigated.The study was performed using a simulation tool developed by the authors called RACHP-Lab,which is a vapor compression system simulation tool developed based on physics-based simulation for typical mini-split air conditioners.The simulation study was carried out and validated using experimental performance data of 10 different air conditioning units available in the Egyptian market.The units included fixed-speed or variable-speed compressors and operated in cooling or heating modes.Drop-in replace-ment with the new refrigerants was carried out.For R32,the capacity increased between 4.9%and 13%for cooling cases,and 6.3%and 12.4%for heating cases.However,COP did not improve in all cases.For R452B and R454B with direct replacement,the capacity nearly remained the same,with an increase of COP between 1.6%and 8.0%.Soft optimization was also conducted on cooling cases where compressor suction superheat,condenser subcooling,and compressor volumetric speed were optimized to maximize COP while maintaining the original capacity of R410A.R32 showed an improvement of COP over R410A between 4.6%and 15.5%,while for R452B and R454B between 2.2%and 13.2%.Omar M.Zaki Omar Abdelaziz 2024Energy and Built Environment2024,5,3:0
