| 1 | Increasing terrestrial vegetation activity in China, 1982—1999显示文摘Variations in vegetation activity during the past 18 years in China were investigated using the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) derived from the 3rd generation time series dataset of NOAA-AVHRR from 1982 to 1999. In order to eliminate the effects of non-vegetation factors, we characterized areas with NDVI < 0.1 as sparsely vegetated areas and areas with NDVI ≥ 0.1 as vegetated areas. The results showed that increasing NDVI trends were evident, to varying extents, in almost all regions in China in the 18 years, indicating that vegetation activity has been rising in recent years in these regions. Compared to the early 1980s, the vegetated area increased by 3.5% by the late 1990s, while the sparsely vegetated area declined by 18.1% in the same period. The national total mean annual NDVI increased by 7.4% during the study period. Extended growing seasons and increased plant growth rates ac-counted for the bulk of these increases, while increases in temperature and summer rainfall, and strengthening agricultural activity were also likely important factors. NDVI changes in China ex-hibited relatively large spatial heterogeneity; the eastern coastal regions experienced declining or indiscernibly rising trends, while agricultural regions and western China experienced marked increases. | 2 | The effects of simulated nitrogen deposition on extracellular enzyme activities of litter and soil among different-aged stands of larch显示文摘Aims Nitrogen(N)addition could affect the rate of forest litter and soil organic matter decomposition by regulating extracellular enzyme activity(EEa).The impact of N addition on EEa may differ across different age stands with different organic matter quality.We were interested in whether the impact of N addition on EEa in litter and mineral soil during the growing season was dependent on stand age of a larch plantation in North China.Methods We added three levels of N(0,20 and 50 kg N ha^(−1) year^(−1))in three age stands(11,20 and 45 years old)of Larix principis-rupprech-tii plantation in North China.We measured potential activities of β-1,4-glucosidase(b),cellobiohydrolase(Cb),β-1,4-N-acetyl-glucosaminidase(Nag)and phenol oxidase(Po)in litter(organic horizon)and mineral soil(0-10 cm)during the second growing sea-son after N amendment.We also measured C and N concentrations,microbial biomass C and N,and KCl-extractable ammonium and nitrate in both litter and mineral soil.Important Findings We observed unimodal patterns of EEa during the growing season in all three stands,consistent with the seasonal variations of soil temperature.stand age had a strong effect on EEa in both litter and mineral soil,and this effect differed between litter and mineral soil as well as between different enzymes.N addition did not significantly affect the activities of b or Cb but significantly suppressed the activity of Nag in litter.We also found stand age-specific responses of Po activity to N addition in both litter and mineral soil.N addition suppressed Po activity of the high C:N ratio litters in 20-and 45-year-old stands but had no significant effect on Po activity of the low C:N ratio litter in 11-year-old stand.moreover,N addition inhibited Po activity of the high C:N ratio soil in 20-year-old stand but had no significant impact on Po activity of the low C:N ratio soils in 11-and 45-year-old stands.overall,stand age had a greater effect on EEa in litter and mineral soil compared to 2 years of N addition.moreover,the effect of N addition on Po activity is stand age dependent,which may affect the long-term soil carbon storage in this forest. | Yuecun Ma Biao Zhu Zhenzhong Sun Chuang Zhao Yan Yang Shilong Piao | 2014 | Journal of Plant Ecology2014,7,3: | 14 |

| 4 | Complexity of software trustworthiness and its dynamical statistical analysis methods显示文摘Developing trusted softwares has become an important trend and a natural choice in the development of software technology and applications. At present,the method of measurement and assessment of software trustworthiness cannot guarantee safe and reliable operations of software systems completely and effectively. Based on the dynamical system study,this paper interprets the characteristics of behaviors of software systems and the basic scientific problems of software trustworthiness complexity,analyzes the characteristics of complexity of software trustworthiness,and proposes to study the software trustworthiness measurement in terms of the complexity of software trustworthiness. Using the dynamical statistical analysis methods,the paper advances an invariant-measure based assessment method of software trustworthiness by statistical indices,and hereby provides a dynamical criterion for the untrustworthiness of software systems. | 5 | Dynamical characteristics of software trustworthiness and their evolutionary complexity显示文摘Developing trusted softwares has become an important trend and a natural choice in the development of software technology and applications, and software trustworthiness modeling has become a prerequisite and necessary means. To discuss and explain the basic scientific problems in software trustworthiness and to establish theoretical foundations for software trustworthiness measurement, combining the ideas of dynamical system study, this paper studies evolutionary laws of software trustworthiness and the dynamical mechanism under the effect of various internal and external factors, and proposes dynamical models for software trustworthiness, thus, software trustworthiness can be considered as the statistical characteristics of behaviors of software systems in the dynamical and open environment. | 17 | Effects of urea-N and CO_(2) coupling fertilization on the growth,photosynthesis,yield and anthocyanin content of hydroponic purple cabbage Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis显示文摘Water and fertilizer coupling is a high-efficiency technology for the development of facility agriculture.However,the interaction effect of nitrogen(N)and air carbon dioxide(CO_(2))on hydroponic purple cabbage,especially on its leaf anthocyanins under hydroponic solution systems,remains unexplored.In this study,six treatments were set as C0N0,C0N2,C0N4,C1N0,C1N2 and C1N4,with N0,N2 and N4 being 0.0 g/L,0.2 g/L and 0.4 g/L exogenous urea-N to hydroponic solution dilution,respectively.C0 and C1 were set as with and without CO_(2)fertilizer(i.e.,800 g CO_(2)agent added one week after transplanting and 600 g CO_(2)agent added when the plant reached 15 cm in height),respectively.Pot experiments were conducted to investigate the interaction effect of N and air CO_(2)(N×CO_(2))on the growth,photosynthesis,yield and anthocyanin content of hydroponic purple cabbage Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis.The results showed N×CO_(2)extremely significantly influenced plant height(H),net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular oxidation concentration(Ci),transpiration rate(Tr),leaf water use efficiency(LWUE)and yield.The C1N0 treatment had the largest yield at 262.5 g/plant,with higher values for root length,root weight,plant height and leaf number than the other treatments.The Pn,Ci and Tr of C1N4 were the highest at 3.05μmol CO_(2)/m2·s,352.8μmol CO_(2)/m2·s and 2.31 mmol H2O/m2·s,respectively.The C1N2 treatment received the largest Gs value of 0.70 mol H2O/m2·s and the largest Tr of 2.31 mmol H2O/m2·s.There was the highest LWUE for C0N2(1.41)and the highest anthocyanin content for C1N2(1.35 mg/kg).There was a significant negative correlation between leaf number and anthocyanin(r=-0.414,p<0.05).The findings demonstrated that adding CO_(2)fertilizer and 0.2 g/L exogenous urea-N to hydroponic solution dilution is a potential N×CO_(2)coupling strategy to increase anthocyanin and the yield of purple cabbage. | Danyan Chen Yuanyuan Feng Ya Liu Juan Hu Shilong Li Jingze Ma Xinyu Lu Xiaorui Jiang Shuhui Sun Zhi Yang Changyi Wang | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,5: | 0 |
| 18 | Influence of aging treatment on mechanical properties and wear resistance of medium manganese steel reinforced with Ti(C,N) particles显示文摘In this study,the hot rolled medium manganese steel containing titanium was solution treated at 1,000°C and followed by aging treatment at 500,550,and 600°C.The influence of aging treatment on mechanical properties and wear resistance of medium manganese steel reinforced with Ti(C,N)particles was investigated.It was found that the matrix of medium manganese steel was austenite.The austenite grain size was refined,and Ti(C,N)particles were precipitated after aging treatment.Compared to that of the as-hot rolled sample,the initial hardness of 500°C aged sample increased by 9.5%to 312.86 HV,whose impact energy was more than doubled to 148.5 J.As the aging temperature raised to 600°C,the initial hardness changed slightly.However,the impact energy dropped significantly to 8 J due to the aggregation of Mn at the grain boundaries.In addition,the main wear mechanisms of the samples were fatigue wear and abrasive wear.It was worth noting that 500°C aged sample exhibited the best wear resistance under a 300 N applied load,whose wear loss was just half of the as-hot rolled sample.The relationship between wear loss and mechanical properties indicated that the wear resistance of medium manganese steel was independent of the initial hardness.The large difference in the wear resistance was predominately due to the outstanding work hardening ability of 500°C aged sample,whose strengthening mechanisms were contributed from transformation induced plasticity(TRIP)effect,dislocation strengthening,twinning induced plasticity(TWIP)effect,and precipitation strengthening. | Zhihui CAI Shangkun WANG Yanjun ZHOU Jiayi DONG Lifeng MA Shilong LIU | 2023 | Friction2023,11,11: | 0 |
