2A voltage resonance-based single-ended online fault location algorithm for DC distribution networks显示文摘A novel single-ended online fault location algorithm is investigated for DC distribution networks. The proposed algorithm calculates the fault distance based on the characteristics of the voltage resonance. The Prony's method is introduced to extract the characteristics. A novel method is proposed to solve the pseudo dual-root problem in the calculation process. The multiple data windows are adopted to enhance the robustness of the proposed algorithm. An index is proposed to evaluate the accuracy and validity of the results derived from the various data windows. The performances of the proposed algorithm in different fault scenarios were evaluated using the PSCAD/EMTDC simulations. 3Sociodemographic characteristics and risk factor analysis of Demodex infestation(Acari:Demodicidae)显示文摘To identify sociodemographic characteristics and risk factor of Demodex infestation,756 students aged 13-22 years in Xi'an,China were sampled for the school-based cross-sectional study.Demodex was examined using the cellophane tape method(CTP).The results showed that the total detection rate of Demodex was 67.6%.Logistic regression analysis revealed that five variables(gender,residence,sharing sanitary ware,frequency of face-wash per day,and use of facial cleanser) were found to be uncorrelated with Demodex infestation,whereas three variables(age,skin type,and skin disease) were found to be independent correlates.Students aged over 18 years had 22.1 times higher odds of Demodex infestation compared to those under 16 years and students aged 16-18 years also had 2.1 times higher odds compared to those aged 13-15 years.Odds of having a Demodex infestation for oily or mixed skin were 2.1 times those for dry or neutral skin.Students with a facial skin disease had 3.0 times higher odds of being infested with Demodex compared to those without.The inception rate of students with facial dermatoses increased in parallel with increasing mite count.The inception rates were 21.3%,40.7%,59.2%,and 67.7% in the negative,mild,moderate,and severe infestation groups,respectively(χ2=60.6,P<0.001).Specifically,the amount of infested mites and inception rate of acne vulgaris were positively correlated(R2=0.57,moderate infestation odds ratio(OR)=7.1,severe infestation OR=10.3).It was concluded that Demodex prevalence increases with age,and Demodex presents in nearly all adult human.Sebaceous hyperplasia with oily or mixed skin seems to favour Demodex proliferation.Demodex infestation could be associated with acne vulgaris.The CTP is a good sampling method for studies of Demodex prevalence.Ya-e ZHAO Na GUO Meng XUN Ji-ru XU Mei WANG Duo-lao WANG 2011Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2011,12,12:12

5Plasma microRNAs as potential new biomarkers for early detection of early gastric cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Early gastric cancer(EGC), compared with advanced gastric cancer(AGC), has a higher 5-year survival rate. However, due to the lack of typical symptoms and the difficulty in diagnosing EGC, no effective biomarkers exist for the detection of EGC, and gastroscopy is the only detection method.AIM To provide new biomarkers with high specificity and sensitivity through analyzed the differentially expressed microRNAs(miRNAs) in EGC and AGC and compared them with those in benign gastritis(BG).METHODSWe examined the differentially expressed miRNAs in the plasma of 30 patients with EGC, AGC, and BG by miRNA chip analysis. Then, we analyzed and selected the significantly different miRNAs using bioinformatics. Reverse transcription quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)confirmed the relative transcription level of these miRNAs in another 122 patients, including patients with EGC, AGC, Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori)-negative gastritis(Control-1), and H. pylori-positive atrophic gastritis(Control-2).To establish a diagnostic model for the detection of plasma miRNA in EGC, we chose miRNAs that can be used to determine EGC and AGC from Control-1 and Control-2 and miRNAs in EGC from all other groups.RESULTS Among the expression profiles of the miRNA chips in the three groups in the discovery set, of 117 aberrantly expressed miRNAs, 30 confirmed target prediction, whereas 14 were included as potential miRNAs. The RT-qPCR results showed that 14 potential miRNAs expression profiles in the two groups exhibited no differences in terms of H. pylori-negative gastritis(Control-1) and H. pyloripositive atrophic gastritis(Control-2). Hence, these two groups were incorporated into the Control group. A combination of four types of miRNAs,miR-7641, miR-425-5 p, miR-1180-3 p and miR-122-5 p, were used to effectively distinguish the Cancer group(EGC + AGC) from the Control group [area under the curve(AUC) = 0.799, 95% confidence interval(CI): 0.691-0.908, P < 0.001].Additionally, miR-425-5 p, miR-24-3 p, miR-1180-3 p and miR-122-5 p were utilized to distinguish EGC from the Control group(AUC = 0.829, 95%CI: 0.657-1.000, P =0.001). Moreover, the miR-24-3 p expression level in EGC was lower than that in the AGC(AUC = 0.782, 95%CI: 0.571-0.993, P = 0.029), and the miR-4632-5 p expression level in EGC was significantly higher than that in AGC(AUC = 0.791,95%CI: 0.574-1.000, P = 0.024).CONCLUSION The differentially expressed circulatory plasma miR-425-5 p, miR-1180-3 p, miR-122-5 p, miR-24-3 p and miR-4632-5 p can be regarded as a new potential biomarker panel for the diagnosis of EGC. The prediction and early diagnosis of EGC can be considerably facilitated by combining gastroscopy with the use of these miRNA biomarkers, thereby optimizing the strategy for effective detection of EGC. 6Stromal cell derived factor-1 enhances bone marrow mononuclear cell migration in mice with acute liver failure显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the number of bone marrow mononuclear cells(BMMC) that are migrated to the liver following transplantation of murine BMMC into mice with acute liver injury.METHODS:BMMC were isolated from the bone marrow of mice in a lymphocyte separation medium and then labeled with PKH26.The labeled cells were subsequently infused into the caudal veins of BALB/c mice with hepatic injury induced by carbon tetrachloride and 2-acetylaminofluorene.Mice in experimental group were treated with stromal cell-derived factor-1(SDF-1) which was injected intraperitoneally after trans-plantation of BMMC.Mice in control group were injected intraperitoneally with 0.1 mL of saline(0.9% NaCl) after transplantation of BMMC.After 2 wk,migration of the cells in experimental group was studied by fluorescence microscopy.The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen and albumin was quantified with manual methods in both groups.The serum transaminase levels at different time points were compared between the two groups.RESULTS:The labeled 'cells' were found in the portalregion and central veins of hepatic lobules.The PKH26-labeled cells appeared at an average frequency of 108 ± 8/high power field in the experiment group and 65 ± 8/high power field in the control group(P < 0.05).The total number of positive cells was 29 ± 7/high power field in the experimental group and 13 ± 2/high power field in the control group.The albumin expres-sion level was also higher in the experimental group than in the control group(29 ± 7 vs 13 ± 2,P < 0.05).The total number of crossing points was 156 ± 5/high power field in the experimental group and 53 ± 5/high power field in the control group(P < 0.05).The serum alanine aminotransferase levels in experimental and control groups were measured at different time points(120 ± 40 vs 118.50 ± 1.75,P > 0.05;80.60 ± 6.50 vs 101.08 ± 5.67,P < 0.05;50.74 ± 5.38 vs 80.47 ± 4.62,P < 0.05;30.54 ± 2.70 vs 60.72 ± 4.37,P < 0.05;30.77 ± 5.36 vs 40.47 ± 6.50,P < 0.05).At the same time,the serum aspartate aminotransferase levels were measured in experimental and control groups at different time points(122.55 ± 1.46 vs 120.70 ± 4.22,P > 0.05;54.26 ± 6.50 vs 98.70 ± 8.20,P < 0.05;39.47 ± 5.39 vs 78.34 ± 4.50,P < 0.05;28.94 ± 2.70 vs 56.44 ± 4.28,P < 0.05;30.77 ± 5.45 vs 42.50 ± 6.28,P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:SDF-1 can promote the migration of BMMC to the liver of mice with acute liver failure.Shi-Zhu Jin Xiang-Wei Meng Ming-Zi Han Xun Sun Li-Ying Sun Bing-Rong Liu 2009World Journal of Gastroenterology2009,15,21:10

8Surface integrity of GH4169 affected by cantilever finish grinding and the application in aero-engine blades显示文摘GH4169 is the main material for aero-engine blades and integrated blisks. Because GH4169 has a poor milling performance, the profile precision and surface integrity of blades and integrated blisks are difficult to be met by utilizing the conventional milling process, which directly influence the global performance and reliability of aero-engines. Through grinding experiments on parameters and surface integrity optimization, the helical cantilever grinding process utilizing a300# CBN RB wheel is presented and applied in finish machining of GH4169 blades. The profile errors of the blade surface are within ±0.01 mm, the roughness is less than 0.4 lm, the residual compressive stresses and the hardening rate are appropriate, there are no phenomena of burr and smearing with the grinding chips, and the leading/trailing edge can be smoothly connected with the suction/pressure surface. 10Extracellular matrix from human umbilical cordderived mesenchymal stem cells as a scaffold for peripheral nerve regeneration显示文摘The extracellular matrix,which includes collagens,laminin,or fibronectin,plays an important role in peripheral nerve regeneration.Recently,a Schwann cell-derived extracellular matrix with classical biomaterial was used to mimic the neural niche.However,extensive clinical use of Schwann cells remains limited because of the limited origin,loss of an autologous nerve,and extended in vitro culture times.In the present study,human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(h UCMSCs),which are easily accessible and more proliferative than Schwann cells,were used to prepare an extracellular matrix.We identified the morphology and function of h UCMSCs and investigated their effect on peripheral nerve regeneration.Compared with a non-coated dish tissue culture,the h UCMSC-derived extracellular matrix enhanced Schwann cell proliferation,upregulated gene and protein expression levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor,glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor,and vascular endothelial growth factor in Schwann cells,and enhanced neurite outgrowth from dorsal root ganglion neurons.These findings suggest that the h UCMSC-derived extracellular matrix promotes peripheral nerve repair and can be used as a basis for the rational design of engineered neural niches.Bo Xiao Feng Rao Zhi-yuan Guo Xun Sun Yi-guo Wang Shu-yun Liu Ai-yuan Wang Quan-yi Guo Hao-ye Meng Qing Zhao Jiang Peng Yu Wang Shi-bi Lu 2016Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,7:8

13Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 15A general strategy for bimetallic Pt-based nano-branched structures as highly active and stable oxygen reduction and methanol oxidation bifunctional catalysts显示文摘The morphology and size of Pt-based bimetallic alloys are known to determine their electrocatalytic performance in reactions relevant to fuel cells.Here,we report a general approach for preparing Pt-M(M=Fe,Co and Ni)bimetallic nano-branched structure(NBs)by a simple high temperature solution-phase synthesis.As-prepared Pt-M NBs show a polycrystalline structure and are rich in steps and kinks on the surface,which promote them favorable bifunctional catalytic properties in acidic electrolytes,specifically in terms of the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).Specially,Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst shows 6.1 and 5.3 times higher in specific activity(SA)and mass activity(MA)for ORR than state-of-the-art commercial Pt/C catalysts,respectively.Moreover,it exhibits a loss of 4.0%in SA and 14.4%in MA after 10,000 cycles of accelerated durability tests(ADTs)compared with the initial activities.In addition,we also confirmed the superior MOR activity of Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst in acidic electrolytes.For Pt-M NBs with other alloying metals,the ORR and MOR activities are both higher than commercial catalysts and are in the sequence of Pt-Co/C>Pt-Fe/C>Pt-Ni/C>commercial Pt/C(or PtRu/C).The improved activities and durability can benefit from the morphological and compositional effects.This synthesis approach may be applied to develop bifunctional catalysts with enhanced ORR and MOR properties for future fuel cells designs.Wenjuan Lei Menggang Li Lin He Xun Meng Zijie Mu Yongsheng Yu Frances MRoss Weiwei Yang 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:5
16Clinical significance of different periampullary diverticulum classifications for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography cannulation显示文摘BACKGROUND Different types of periampullary diverticulum(PAD) may differentially affect the success of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) cannulation,but the clinical significance of the two current PAD classifications for cannulation is limited.AIM To verify the clinical value of our newly proposed PAD classification.METHODS A new PAD classification(Li-Tanaka classification) was proposed at our center.All PAD patients with native papillae who underwent ERCP from January 2012 to December 2017 were classified according to three classification systems, and the effects of various types of PAD on ERCP cannulation were compared.RESULTS A total of 3564 patients with native papillae were enrolled, including 967(27.13%)PAD patients and 2597(72.87%) non-PAD patients. In the Li-Tanaka classification, type Ⅰ PAD patients exhibited the highest difficult cannulation rate(23.1%, P = 0.01), and type Ⅱ and Ⅳ patients had the highest cannulation success rates(99.4% in type Ⅱ and 99.3% in type Ⅳ, P < 0.001). In a multivariableadjusted logistic model, the overall successful cannulation rate in PAD patients was higher than that in non-PAD patients [odds ratio(OR) = 1.87, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.04-3037, P = 0.037]. 17Protective effects of organic extracts of Alpinia oxyphylla against hydrogen peroxide-induced cvtotoxicitv in PC12 cells显示文摘Alpinia oxyphylla,a traditional herb,is widely used for its neuroprotective,antioxidant and memory-improving effects.However,the neuroprotective mechanisms of action of its active ingredients are unclear.In this study,we investigated the neuroprotective effects of various organic extracts of Alpinia oxyphylla on PC12 cells exposed to hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative injury in vitro.Alpinia oxyphylla was extracted three times with 95%ethanol(representing extracts 1–3).The third 95%ethanol extract was dried and resuspended in water,and then extracted successively with petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and n-butanol(representing extracts 4–6).The cell counting kit-8 assay and microscopy were used to evaluate cell viability and observe the morphology of PC12 cells.The protective effect of the three ethanol extracts(at tested concentrations of 50,100 and 200μg/mL)against cytotoxicity to PC12 cells increased in a concentration-dependent manner.The ethyl acetate,petroleum ether and n-butanol extracts(each tested at 100,150 and 200μg/mL)had neuroprotective effects as well.The optimum effective concentration ranged from 50–200μg/mL,and the protective effect of the ethyl acetate extract was comparatively robust.These results demonstrate that organic extracts of Alpinia oxyphylla protect PC12 cells against apoptosis induced by hydrogen peroxide.Our findings should help identify the bioactive neuroprotective components in Alpinia oxyphylla.Li-Hong Duan Meng Li Chun-Bao Wang Qing-Mei Wang Quan-Quan Liu Wan-Feng Shang Ya-Jin Shen Zhuo-Hua Lin Tong-Yang Sun Zheng-Zhi Wu Ying-Hong Li Yu-Long Wang Xun Luo 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,4:4

19Genetic polymorphism and mRNA levels of cytochrome P450ⅡE1 and glutathione S-transferase P1 in patients with alcoholic liver disease in different nationalities显示文摘BACKGROUND:Alcohol abuse and dependence are major factors in the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease(ALD).Alcohol abuse is becoming an increasingly severe problem among the Han,Mongol,and Korean nationalities in northeast China.This study aimed to investigate the relationship between ALD and the genetic polymorphism and expression levels of two enzymes,cytochrome P450ⅡE1(CYPⅡE1)and glutathione S-transferase P1(GSTP1)in patients of three nationalities.METHODS:Peripheral blood was collected from 353 Chinese patients with ALD,300 alcohol dependent patients without liver disease(alcoholic),and 360 healthy controls.Each group included patients from the Han,Mongol and Korean nationalities.Real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)were used.RESULTS:Regardless of nationality,patients who carried the rare CYPⅡE1 C2 and GSTP1 Val alleles were at higher risk of ALD.The frequency of C2 and Val in patients with ALD was respectively 50.00% and 26.98% in the Han,31.36% and 22.87% in the Mongol,and 45.87% and 22.02% in the Korean nationality.No significant differences were seen in the frequency of either C2 or Val alleles in ALD patients among the three nationalities.In each nationality,the frequency of both C2 and Val alleles was significantly higher in ALD compared to alcoholic and healthy controls.Except for nationality,the average mRNA levels of CYPⅡ E1 in ALD patients and healthy controls were 10.05%and 2.21%,respectively.The average mRNA levels of GSTP1 in ALD patients and healthy controls were 0.53%and 2.12%,respectively.The mRNA level of CYPⅡE1 was higher,and that of GSTP1 was lower in patients with ALD compared to the controls.CONCLUSIONS:Except for nationality,patients with ALD in this series tended to have a higher mRNA expression of CYPⅡE1 and to carry the C2 allele,and tended to have a lower mRNA expression of GSTP1 and to carry the Val allele.There is a causal relationship between the polymorphic alleles,which leads to different mRNA levels and the development of ALD.Ying Liu,Xiang-Wei Meng,Ling-Yun Zhou,Pei-Yi Zhang,Xun Sun and Ping Zhang Department of Gastroenterology,First Affiliated Hospital,Jilin University,Changchun 130021,China Department of Gastroenterology,Heilongjiang Province Hospital,Harbin 150036,China Department of Medical Molecular Biology,Harbin Medical University,Harbin 150086,China 2009Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2009,8,2:4
