1Activating interfacial S sites of MoS_(2) boosts hydrogen evolution electrocatalysis显示文摘The hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)of molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))is limited in alkaline and acid solution because the active sites are on the finite edge with extended basal plane remaining inert.Herein,we activated the interfacial S sites by coupling with Ru nanoparticles on the inert basal plane of MoS_(2)nanosheets.The density functional theory(DFT)calculation and experimental results show that the interfacial S electronic structure was modulated.And the results of∆G H*demonstrate that the adsorption of H on the MoS_(2)was also optimized.With the advantage of interfacial S sites activation,the Ru-MoS_(2)needs only overpotential of 110 and 98 mV to achieve 10 mA·cm^(–2)in both 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4)and ^(1) M KOH solution,respectively.This strategy paves a new way for activating the basal plane of other transition metal sulfide electrocatalysts for improving the HER performance.Shuo Geng Fenyang Tian Menggang Li Yequn Liu Jie Sheng Weiwei Yang Yongsheng Yu Yanglong Hou 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:5
2A general strategy for bimetallic Pt-based nano-branched structures as highly active and stable oxygen reduction and methanol oxidation bifunctional catalysts显示文摘The morphology and size of Pt-based bimetallic alloys are known to determine their electrocatalytic performance in reactions relevant to fuel cells.Here,we report a general approach for preparing Pt-M(M=Fe,Co and Ni)bimetallic nano-branched structure(NBs)by a simple high temperature solution-phase synthesis.As-prepared Pt-M NBs show a polycrystalline structure and are rich in steps and kinks on the surface,which promote them favorable bifunctional catalytic properties in acidic electrolytes,specifically in terms of the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).Specially,Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst shows 6.1 and 5.3 times higher in specific activity(SA)and mass activity(MA)for ORR than state-of-the-art commercial Pt/C catalysts,respectively.Moreover,it exhibits a loss of 4.0%in SA and 14.4%in MA after 10,000 cycles of accelerated durability tests(ADTs)compared with the initial activities.In addition,we also confirmed the superior MOR activity of Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst in acidic electrolytes.For Pt-M NBs with other alloying metals,the ORR and MOR activities are both higher than commercial catalysts and are in the sequence of Pt-Co/C>Pt-Fe/C>Pt-Ni/C>commercial Pt/C(or PtRu/C).The improved activities and durability can benefit from the morphological and compositional effects.This synthesis approach may be applied to develop bifunctional catalysts with enhanced ORR and MOR properties for future fuel cells designs.Wenjuan Lei Menggang Li Lin He Xun Meng Zijie Mu Yongsheng Yu Frances MRoss Weiwei Yang 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:5

12Personalised treatment assignment maximising expected benefit with smooth hinge loss显示文摘In personalised medicine,the goal is tomake a treatment recommendation for each patient with a given set of covariates tomaximise the treatment benefitmeasured by patient’s response to the treatment.In application,such a treatment assignment rule is constructed using a sample training data consisting of patients’responses and covariates.Instead of modelling responses using treatments and covariates,an alternative approach is maximising a response-weighted target function whose value directly reflects the effectiveness of treatment assignments.Since the target function involves a loss function,efforts have been made recently on the choice of the loss function to ensure a computationally feasible and theoretically sound solution.We propose to use a smooth hinge loss function so that the target function is convex and differentiable,which possesses good asymptotic properties and numerical advantages.To further simplify the computation and interpretability,we focus on the rules that are linear functions of covariates and discuss their asymptotic properties.We also examine the performances of our method with simulation studies and real data analysis.Shixue Liu Jun Shao Menggang Yu 2017Statistical Theory and Related Fields2017,1,1:0
13Impact of sufficient dimension reduction in nonparametric estimation of causal effect显示文摘We consider the estimation of causal treatment effect using nonparametric regression orinverse propensity weighting together with sufficient dimension reduction for searching lowdimensional covariate subsets. A special case of this problem is the estimation of a responseeffect with data having ignorable missing response values. An issue that is not well addressedin the literature is whether the estimation of the low-dimensional covariate subsets by sufficient dimension reduction has an impact on the asymptotic variance of the resulting causaleffect estimator. With some incorrect or inaccurate statements, many researchers believe thatthe estimation of the low-dimensional covariate subsets by sufficient dimension reduction doesnot affect the asymptotic variance. We rigorously establish a result showing that this is nottrue unless the low-dimensional covariate subsets include some covariates superfluous for estimation, and including such covariates loses efficiency. 14An in-situ NH_(4)^(+)-etched strategy for anchoring atomic Mo site on ZnIn_(2)S_(4) hierarchical nanotubes for superior hydrogen photocatalysis显示文摘Atomic sites co-catalyst (ASC) on photocatalytic materials possesses an attractive prospect to promote charge carrier separation and tune surface reaction kinetics,yet the synthesis of earth-abundant ASC under low temperature remains a great challenge.Here,a novel in-situ NH_(4)^(+)-etched strategy to anchor atomic Mo sites on ZnIn_(2)S_(4)hierarchical nanotubes (HNTs) with abundant mesopores under mild conditions for promoting charge carrier separation and enhancing light multi-reflections is developed for efficient photocatalytic H_(2) evolution.Density functional theory calculations and linear sweep voltammetry demonstrate that the well-defined Mo-S_(2)O_(1) sites with distinctive coordination configuration and electronic property contribute to the enhanced separation of photo-generated charge carriers and reduced Gibbs free energy for H_(2) evolution.Consequently,the well-defined MoSA-ZIS HNTs present an excellent photocatalytic activity with a rate of 29.9μmol h^(-1)(5.98 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1)),which is 7.3 times higher than that of ZnIn_(2)S_(4)nanosheets (NSs),to be among the best ZnIn_(2)S_(4)-based photocatalysts.The present strategy breaks the high-temperature limitation of conventional top-down thermal dissociation/emitting approach for anchoring non-noble metal atomic sites on catalyst support.Yuguang Chao Weiyu Zhang Peng Zhou Hui Chen Shiyu Lu Menggang Li Qinghua Zhang Lin Gu Shaojun Guo 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,10:0
15Treatment recommendation and parameter estimation under single-index contrast function显示文摘In this article, we consider a semiparametric model for contrast function which is defined asthe conditional expected outcome difference under comparative treatments. The contrast function can be used to recommend treatment for better average outcomes. Existing approachesmodel the contrast function either parametrically or nonparametrically. We believe our approachimproves interpretability over the non-parametric approach while enhancing robustness overthe parametric approach. Without explicit estimation of the nonparametric part of our model,we show that a kernel-based method can identify the parametric part up to a multiplying constant. Such identification suffices for treatment recommendation. Our method is also extendedto high-dimensional settings. We study the asymptotics of the resulting estimation procedure inboth low- and high-dimensional cases. 18Bayonet-corpus:a trajectory prediction method based on bayonet context and bidirectional GRU显示文摘Predicting travel trajectory of vehicles can not only provide personalized services to users,but also have a certain effect on traffic guidance and traffic control.In this paper,we build a Bayonet-Corpus based on the context of traffic intersections,and use it to model a traffic network.Besides,Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit(Bi-GRU)is used to predict the sequence of traffic intersections in one single trajectory.Firstly,considering that real traffic networks are usually complex and disorder and cannot reflect the higher dimensional relationship among traffic intersections,this paper proposes a new traffic network modeling algorithm based on the context of traffic intersections:inspired by the probabilistic language model,a Bayonet-Corpus is constructed from traffic intersections in real trajectory sequence,so the high-dimensional similarity between corpus nodes can be used to measure the semantic relation of real traffic intersections.This algorithm maps vehicle trajectory nodes into a high-dimensional space vector,blocking complex structure of real traffic network and reconstructing the traffic network space.Then,the bayonets sequence in real traffic network is mapped into a matrix.Considering the trajectories sequence is bidirectional,and Bi-GRU can handle information from forward and backward simultaneously,we use Bi-GRU to bidirectionally model the trajectory matrix for the purpose of prediction.Mengyang Huang Menggang Zhu Yunpeng Xiao Yanbing Liu 2021Digital Communications and Networks2021,7,1:0
19Ultrathin PtRu Nanowires as Efficient and Stable Electrocatalyst for Liquid Fuel Oxidation Reactions显示文摘Direct liquid fuel cells(DLFCs)are promising clean energy conversion devices for their high energy density,low environmental pollution,and convenient transportation and storage.However,the commercialization of DLFCs is still limited by the lack of highly active and stable catalysts for the anodic oxidation of liquid fuels.Herein,a new class of ultrathin PtRu nanowires(NWs)with a diameter of 1.1nm was synthesized via a colloidal chemistry strategy.The as-made ultrathin PtRu NWs can not only expose large active sites but also enhance the kinetics of methanol oxidation reaction,which was confirmed by the in situ Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy.Consequently,ultrathin PtRu NWs exhibit greatly boosted activity and stability for methanol and ethanol oxidation reactions in an alkaline medium.Kun Yin Yuguang Chao Lingyou Zeng Menggang Li Fangze Liu Shaojun Guo Hongbo Li 2022Energy Material Advances2022,,1:0
