1Synchronization and wave propagation in neuronal network under field coupling显示文摘Electric and chemical synapse play important role in connecting neurons and thus signal propagation can be realized between neurons. External electric stimulus can change the excitability of neuron and then the electrical activities can be modulated completely. Continuous fluctuation of ion concentration in cell can induce complex time-varying electromagnetic field during the exchange of charged ions across the membrane of neuron. Polarization and magnetization in the media(and neuron), which exposed to electromagnetic radiation, can modulate the dynamical response and mode transition in electrical activities of neurons. In this paper, magnetic flux is used to describe the effect of electromagnetic field, and the three-variable HindmarshRose neuron model is updated to propose a four-variable neuron model that the effect of electromagnetic induction and radiation can be explained. Based on the physical law of electromagnetic induction, exchange of charged ions and flow of ion currents will change the distribution of electromagnetic filed in cell, and each neuron will be exposed to the superimposed field triggered by other neurons. Therefore, signal exchange could occur even synapse coupling between neurons is removed in the case of field coupling. A chain network is proposed to investigate the signal exchange between neurons under field coupling when synapse coupling is not available. It is found that field coupling between neurons can change the collective behaviors in electrical activities. A statistical factor of synchronization and spatial patterns are calculated, these results confirmed that field coupling is effective for signal communication between neurons. 2Blood perfusion of the contralateral testis evaluated with contrast-enhanced ultrasound in rabbits with unilateral testicular torsion显示文摘The changes of blood perfusion of contralateral testis after unilateral testicular torsion remain controversial.In this study,28 New Zealand white male rabbits were randomly divided into five groups.Group A(n=8),the control group,underwent a sham operation on the unilateral testis without inducing testicular torsion.In groups B,C,and D(n=5 each),unilateral testicular torsion was induced,and,after 3,6 or 24 h,respectively,detorsion was performed.In group E(n=5),permanent unilateral testicular torsion was applied.Contrast-enhanced ultrasound was used to observe the blood perfusion of the contralateral testis at the following stages:pre-torsion(preopration),immediately post-torsion(postopration),pre-detorsion,immediately post-detorsion,and late-stage post-detorsion(6-12 h post-detorsion in groups B-D)or at a similar time point(15-21 h post-torsion in group E).Time-intensity curves were generated,and the following parameters were derived and analyzed:arrival time,time to peak intensity,peak intensity,and half-time of the descending peak intensity.The analysis revealed that blood perfusion of the contralateral testis increased immediately after testicular torsion on the opposite side(P<0.05),which increased with prolonged testicular torsion of the other testis.This research demonstrated that contrast-enhanced ultrasound was valuable in evaluating blood perfusion of the contralateral testis after unilateral testicular torsion.Lin Chen Wei-Wei Zhan Zhou-Jun Shen Wen-Bin Rui Chen Lv Man Chen Jian-Qiao Zhou Ping Zhou Mi Zhou Ying Zhu 2009Asian Journal of Andrology2009,11,2:10
3Extra-wide bandwidth via complementary exchange resonance and dielectric polarization of sandwiched FeNi@SnO_(2)nanosheets for electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘Advanced electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbers with wide bandwidth is crucial to avoid EM interference and radiation,while achieving compensatio nal attenuation at different frequencies is challe nging.Herein,two-dimensional(2 D)sandwiched FeNi@SnO_(2)have been designed,for which SnO_(2)nanosheets provide numerous heterogeneous nucleation sites for the growth of dispersive FeNi nanoparticles with reduced size.The SnO_(2)exhibits dipole polarization at 21.45 GHz with a width of~4.00 GHz,while the FeNi nanoparticles induce excha nge resonance at 18.13 GHz(~6.00 GHz width)and interfacial polarization at15.97 GHz(~6.00 GHz width).Such complementary attenuation mechanisms give rise to an impressive ultra-wide effective absorption bandwidth of 11.70 GHz with strong absorption of-49.1 dB at a small thickness of 1.75 mm.Not only superior EM wave absorption is achieved in this work,it also provides a versatile strategy to integrate different loss mechanisms in the design of EM wave absorbers with extra-wide bandwidth.Huipeng Lv Chen Wu Faxiang Qin Huaxin Peng Mi Yan 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,31:4
4Design of ternary D flip-flop with pre-set and pre-reset functions based on resonant tunneling diode literal circuit显示文摘The problems existing in the binary logic system and the advantages of multiple-valued logic (MVL) are introduced. A literal circuit with three-track-output structure is created based on resonant tunneling diodes (RTDs) and it has the most basic memory function. A ternary RTD D flip-flop with pre-set and pre-reset functions is also designed, the key module of which is the RTD literal circuit. Two types of output structure of the ternary RTD D flip-flop are optional: one is three-track and the other is single-track; these two structures can be transformed conveniently by merely adding tri-valued RTD NAND, NOR, and inverter units after the three-track output. The design is verified by simulation. Ternary flip-flop consists of an RTD literal circuit and it not only is easy to understand and implement but also provides a solution for the algebraic interface between the multiple-valued logic and the binary logic. 6Electrochemical formation and phase control of Mg-Li alloys显示文摘The electrochemical formation of Mg-Li alloys was investigated in a molten LiCl-KCl(58-42 mol%)eutectic melt at 723 K. The cyclic voltammogram for a Mo electrode showed that the electroreduction of Li^+ proceeds in a single step and the deposition potential of Li metal was -2.40 V(vs.Ag/AgCl).For Mg electrode,the electroreduction of Li^+ takes place at less cathodic potential than that at the Mo electrode which was caused by the formation of Mg-Li alloys.Phase of the deposited Mg-Li alloys could be controlled by the electrolysis potential,and the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. 14SB216763, a selective small molecule inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3, improves bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis via activating autophagy显示文摘An excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix composed by insoluble collagen is the core pathogenic change of fibroproliferative diseases including pulmonary fibrosis.We recently found that autophagy,a self-catabolic process that maintains intracellular homeostasis,participates critically in the regulation of collagen degradation in the fibrotic tissues.Here we report that treatment of mice with SB216763,a potent and selective inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3(GSK3),significantly decreased the bleomycin(BLM)-induced acute inflammation,attenuated pulmonary fibrosis,improved the lung function and increased animal survival through activating autophagy.Indeed,we found that treatment of mice or cultured cells with SB216763 restored the autophagy in vivo and in vitro through increasing the expression of autophagy related proteins and decreasing the physical interaction of Bcl-2 and Beclin-1.Additionally,SB216763 stimulated the binding of Bcl-2 and GSK3,which reduces the interaction of Bcl2 and Beclin-1.We conclude that the GSK3 inhibitor SB216763 improves the BLM-induced pulmonary fibrosis through stimulating autophagy core complex to restore the activity of autophagy in fibrotic lung tissue.Our work suggests that using a moderate autophagic agonist,such as SB216763,is a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of devastating fibroproliferative diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.Hong Liu Su Mi Zhe Li Xiaoxi Lv Ke Li Fang Hua Zhuowei Hu 2013Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,4:1
